“Command the children of Israel that they put out of the camp every leper, everyone who has a discharge, and whoever is unclean by a corpse.

You shall put both male and female outside of the camp so that they don’t defile their camp, in the midst of which I dwell.”

The cloud of Yahweh was over them by day, when they set forward from the camp.

Moses went into the camp, he and the elders of Israel.

Yahweh said to Moses, “If her father had but spit in her face, shouldn’t she be ashamed seven days? Let her be shut up outside of the camp seven days, and after that she shall be brought in again.”

Miriam was shut up outside of the camp seven days, and the people didn’t travel until Miriam was brought in again.

και αφωρισθη μαριαμ εξω της παρεμβολης επτα ημερας και ο λαος ουκ εξηρεν εως εκαθαρισθη μαριαμ

and what the land is that they dwell in, whether it is good or bad; and what cities they are that they dwell in, whether in camps, or in strongholds;

και διαβιασαμενοι ανεβησαν επι την κορυφην του ορους η δε κιβωτος της διαθηκης κυριου και μωυσης ουκ εκινηθησαν εκ της παρεμβολης

Yahweh said to Moses, “The man shall surely be put to death. All the congregation shall stone him with stones outside of the camp.”

And the Lord H3068 said H559 (QalImpf) unto Moses, H4872 The man H376 shall be surely H4191 (QalInf) put to death: H4191 (HophImpf) all the congregation H5712 shall stone H7275 (QalInf) him with stones H68 without H2351 the camp. H4264

και ελαλησεν κυριος προς μωυσην λεγων θανατω θανατουσθω ο ανθρωπος λιθοβολησατε αυτον λιθοις πασα η συναγωγη

All the congregation brought him outside of the camp, and stoned him to death with stones, as Yahweh commanded Moses.

You shall give her to Eleazar the priest, and he shall bring her outside of the camp, and one shall kill her before his face.

Then the priest shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp, and the priest shall be unclean until the evening.

“A man who is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and lay them up outside of the camp in a clean place; and it shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel for use in water for cleansing impurity. It is a sin offering.

και συναξει ανθρωπος καθαρος την σποδον της δαμαλεως και αποθησει εξω της παρεμβολης εις τοπον καθαρον και εσται τη συναγωγη υιων ισραηλ εις διατηρησιν υδωρ ραντισμου αγνισμα εστιν

They brought the captives with the prey and the plunder, to Moses, and to Eleazar the priest, and to the congregation of the children of Israel, to the camp at the plains of Moab, which are by the Jordan at Jericho.

Moses and Eleazar the priest, with all the princes of the congregation, went out to meet them outside of the camp.

και εξηλθεν μωυσης και ελεαζαρ ο ιερευς και παντες οι αρχοντες της συναγωγης εις συναντησιν αυτοις εξω της παρεμβολης

“Encamp outside of the camp for seven days. Whoever has killed any person, and whoever has touched any slain, purify yourselves on the third day and on the seventh day, you and your captives.

And do ye abide H2583 (QalImpv) without H2351 the camp H4264 seven H7651 days: H3117 whosoever hath killed H2026 (QalActPtc) any person, H5315 and whosoever hath touched H5060 (QalActPtc) any slain, H2491 purify H2398 (HithImpf) [both] yourselves and your captives H7628 on the third H7992 day, H3117 and on the seventh H7637 day. You shall wash your clothes on the seventh day, and you shall be clean. Afterward you shall come into the camp.”

και αι ημεραι ας παρεπορευθημεν απο καδης βαρνη εως ου παρηλθομεν την φαραγγα ζαρετ τριακοντα και οκτω ετη εως ου διεπεσεν πασα γενεα ανδρων πολεμιστων αποθνησκοντες εκ της παρεμβολης καθοτι ωμοσεν αυτοις ο θεος

Moreover Yahweh’s hand was against them, to destroy them from the middle of the camp, until they were consumed.

For indeed the hand H3027 of the Lord H3068 was against them, to destroy H2000 (QalInf) them from among H7130 the host, H4264 until they were consumed. H8552 (QalInf)

When you go out and camp against your enemies, then you shall keep yourselves from every evil thing.

If there is among you any man who is not clean by reason of that which happens to him by night, then shall he go outside of the camp. He shall not come within the camp;

^[23:11] εαν η εν σοι ανθρωπος ος ουκ εσται καθαρος εκ ρυσεως αυτου νυκτος και εξελευσεται εξω της παρεμβολης και ουκ εισελευσεται εις την παρεμβολην

but it shall be, when evening comes, he shall bathe himself in water. When the sun is down, he shall come within the camp.

But it shall be, when evening H6153 cometh on, H6437 (QalInf) he shall wash H7364 (QalImpf) [himself] with water: H4325 and when the sun H8121 is down, H935 (QalInf) he shall come H935 (QalImpf) into H8432 the camp H4264 [again].

^[23:12] και εσται το προς εσπεραν λουσεται το σωμα αυτου υδατι και δεδυκοτος ηλιου εισελευσεται εις την παρεμβολην

You shall have a place also outside of the camp where you go relieve yourself.

^[23:13] και τοπος εσται σοι εξω της παρεμβολης και εξελευση εκει εξω

for Yahweh your God walks in the middle of your camp, to deliver you, and to give up your enemies before you. Therefore your camp shall be holy, that he may not see an unclean thing in you, and turn away from you.

For the Lord H3068 thy God H430 walketh H1980 (HithPtc) in the midst H7130 of thy camp, H4264 to deliver H5337 (HiphInf) thee, and to give up H5414 (QalInf) thine enemies H341 (QalActPtc) before H6440 thee; therefore shall thy camp H4264 be holy: H6918 that he see H7200 (QalImpf) no unclean H6172 thing H1697 in thee, and turn away H7725 (QalPerf) from thee. ^[23:15] οτι κυριος ο θεος σου εμπεριπατει εν τη παρεμβολη σου εξελεσθαι σε και παραδουναι τον εχθρον σου προ προσωπου σου και εσται η παρεμβολη σου αγια και ουκ οφθησεται εν σοι ασχημοσυνη πραγματος και αποστρεψει απο σου

your little ones, your wives, and the foreigners who are in the middle of your camps, from the one who cuts your wood to the one who draws your water,

^[29:10] αι γυναικες υμων και τα εκγονα υμων και ο προσηλυτος ο εν μεσω της παρεμβολης υμων απο ξυλοκοπου υμων και εως υδροφορου υμων

“Pass through the middle of the camp, and command the people, saying, ‘Prepare food; for within three days you are to pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land which Yahweh your God gives you to possess.’ ”

After three days, the officers went through the middle of the camp;

So he caused Yahweh’s ark to go around the city, circling it once. Then they came into the camp, and stayed in the camp.

αλλα υμεις φυλαξασθε σφοδρα απο του αναθεματος μηποτε ενθυμηθεντες υμεις αυτοι λαβητε απο του αναθεματος και ποιησητε την παρεμβολην των υιων ισραηλ αναθεμα και εκτριψητε ημας

και ανεβησαν οι πεντε βασιλεις των ιεβουσαιων βασιλευς ιερουσαλημ και βασιλευς χεβρων και βασιλευς ιεριμουθ και βασιλευς λαχις και βασιλευς οδολλαμ αυτοι και πας ο λαος αυτων και περιεκαθισαν την γαβαων και εξεπολιορκουν αυτην
