Adonijah killed sheep, cattle, and fatlings by the stone of Zoheleth, which is beside En Rogel; and he called all his brothers, the king’s sons, and all the men of Judah, the king’s servants;

Judah and Israel were numerous as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking and making merry.

But as for the children of Israel who lived in the cities of Judah, Rehoboam reigned over them.

When all Israel heard that Jeroboam had returned, they sent and called him to the congregation, and made him king over all Israel. There was no one who followed David’s house, except for the tribe of Judah only.

When Rehoboam had come to Jerusalem, he assembled all the house of Judah and the tribe of Benjamin, a hundred and eighty thousand chosen men who were warriors, to fight against the house of Israel, to bring the kingdom again to Rehoboam the son of Solomon.

“Speak to Rehoboam the son of Solomon, king of Judah, and to all the house of Judah and Benjamin, and to the rest of the people, saying,

If this people goes up to offer sacrifices in Yahweh’s house at Jerusalem, then the heart of this people will turn again to their lord, even to Rehoboam king of Judah; and they will kill me, and return to Rehoboam king of Judah.”

Jeroboam ordained a feast in the eighth month, on the fifteenth day of the month, like the feast that is in Judah, and he went up to the altar. He did so in Bethel, sacrificing to the calves that he had made, and he placed in Bethel the priests of the high places that he had made.

Rehoboam the son of Solomon reigned in Judah. Rehoboam was forty-one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which Yahweh had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there. His mother’s name was Naamah the Ammonitess.

και ροβοαμ υιος σαλωμων εβασιλευσεν επι ιουδα υιος τεσσαρακοντα και ενος ενιαυτων ροβοαμ εν τω βασιλευειν αυτον και δεκα επτα ετη εβασιλευσεν εν ιερουσαλημ τη πολει ην εξελεξατο κυριος θεσθαι το ονομα αυτου εκει εκ πασων φυλων του ισραηλ και το ονομα της μητρος αυτου νααμα η αμμανιτις

Judah did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight, and they provoked him to jealousy with their sins which they committed, above all that their fathers had done.

And Judah H3063 did H6213 (QalImpf) evil H7451 in the sight H5869 of the Lord, H3068 and they provoked him to jealousy H7065 (PielImpf) with their sins H2403 which they had committed, H2398 (QalPerf) above all that their fathers H1 had done. H6213 (QalPerf)
