και ιδων ο λαος οτι κεχρονικεν μωυσης καταβηναι εκ του ορους συνεστη ο λαος επι ααρων και λεγουσιν αυτω αναστηθι και ποιησον ημιν θεους οι προπορευσονται ημων ο γαρ μωυσης ουτος ο ανθρωπος ος εξηγαγεν ημας εξ αιγυπτου ουκ οιδαμεν τι γεγονεν αυτω

For they said to me, ‘Make us gods, which shall go before us. As for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we don’t know what has become of him.’

Now go, lead the people to the place of which I have spoken to you. Behold, my angel shall go before you. Nevertheless, in the day when I punish, I will punish them for their sin.”

Yahweh spoke to Moses, “Depart, go up from here, you and the people that you have brought up out of the land of Egypt, to the land of which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, ‘I will give it to your offspring.’

He said, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

Moses said to him, “If your presence doesn’t go with me, don’t carry us up from here.

και λεγει προς αυτον ει μη αυτος συ πορευη μη με αναγαγης εντευθεν

For how would people know that I have found favor in your sight, I and your people? Isn’t it that you go with us, so that we are separated, I and your people, from all the people who are on the surface of the earth?”

For wherein shall it be known H3045 (NiphImpf) here H645 that I and thy people H5971 have found H4672 (QalPerf) grace H2580 in thy sight? και πως γνωστον εσται αληθως οτι ευρηκα χαριν παρα σοι εγω τε και ο λαος σου αλλ η συμπορευομενου σου μεθ ημων και ενδοξασθησομαι εγω τε και ο λαος σου παρα παντα τα εθνη οσα επι της γης εστιν

He said, “If now I have found favor in your sight, Lord, please let the Lord go among us, even though this is a stiff-necked people; pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for your inheritance.”

“‘All flying insects that walk on all fours are an abomination to you.

“‘If you in spite of this won’t listen to me, but walk contrary to me,

εαν δε επι τουτοις μη υπακουσητε μου και πορευησθε προς με πλαγιοι

then I will walk contrary to you in wrath. I will also chastise you seven times for your sins.

then I will walk H1980 (QalPerf) contrary H7147 unto you also in fury; H2534 and I, even H637 I, will chastise H3256 (PielPerf) you seven times H7651 for your sins. H2403

και αυτος πορευσομαι μεθ υμων εν θυμω πλαγιω και παιδευσω υμας εγω επτακις κατα τας αμαρτιας υμων

“‘If they confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their fathers, in their trespass which they trespassed against me; and also that because they walked contrary to me,

If they shall confess H3034 (HithPerf) their iniquity, H5771 and the iniquity H5771 of their fathers, H1 with their trespass H4604 which they trespassed H4603 (QalPerf) against me, and that also they have walked H1980 (QalPerf) contrary H7147 unto me;

και εξαγορευσουσιν τας αμαρτιας αυτων και τας αμαρτιας των πατερων αυτων οτι παρεβησαν και υπερειδον με και οτι επορευθησαν εναντιον μου πλαγιοι

I also walked contrary to them, and brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised heart is humbled, and they then accept the punishment of their iniquity,

και εγω επορευθην μετ αυτων εν θυμω πλαγιω και απολω αυτους εν τη γη των εχθρων αυτων τοτε εντραπησεται η καρδια αυτων η απεριτμητος και τοτε ευδοκησουσιν τας αμαρτιας αυτων

Moses said to Hobab, the son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses’ father-in-law, “We are journeying to the place of which Yahweh said, ‘I will give it to you.’ Come with us, and we will treat you well; for Yahweh has spoken good concerning Israel.”

και ειπεν μωυσης τω ιωβαβ υιω ραγουηλ τω μαδιανιτη τω γαμβρω μωυση εξαιρομεν ημεις εις τον τοπον ον ειπεν κυριος τουτον δωσω υμιν δευρο μεθ ημων και ευ σε ποιησομεν οτι κυριος ελαλησεν καλα περι ισραηλ

He said to him, “I will not go; but I will depart to my own land, and to my relatives.”

και ειπεν προς αυτον ου πορευσομαι αλλα εις την γην μου και εις την γενεαν μου

It shall be, if you go with us—yes, it shall be—that whatever good Yahweh does to us, we will do the same to you.”

And it shall be, if thou go H3212 (QalImpf) with us, yea, it shall be, that what goodness H2896 the Lord H3068 shall do H3190 (HiphImpf) unto us, the same will we do H2895 (HiphPerf) unto thee.

και εσται εαν πορευθης μεθ ημων και εσται τα αγαθα εκεινα οσα εαν αγαθοποιηση κυριος ημας και ευ σε ποιησομεν

Yahweh’s anger burned against them; and he departed.

And the anger H639 of the Lord H3068 was kindled H2734 (QalImpf) against them; and he departed. H3212 (QalImpf)

και οργη θυμου κυριου επ αυτοις και απηλθεν

They went and came to Moses, to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, to the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word to them and to all the congregation. They showed them the fruit of the land.

και πορευθεντες ηλθον προς μωυσην και ααρων και προς πασαν συναγωγην υιων ισραηλ εις την ερημον φαραν καδης και απεκριθησαν αυτοις ρημα και παση τη συναγωγη και εδειξαν τον καρπον της γης

They will tell it to the inhabitants of this land. They have heard that you Yahweh are among this people; for you Yahweh are seen face to face, and your cloud stands over them, and you go before them, in a pillar of cloud by day, and in a pillar of fire by night.

and they will tell H559 (QalPerf) it to the inhabitants H3427 (QalActPtc) of this land: H776 for they have heard H8085 (QalPerf) that thou Lord H3068 art among H7130 this people, H5971 that thou Lord H3068 art seen H7200 (NiphPerf) face H5869 to face, H5869 and that thy cloud H6051 standeth H5975 (QalActPtc) over them, and that thou goest H1980 (QalActPtc) before H6440 them, by day time H3119 in a pillar H5982 of a cloud, H6051 and in a pillar H5982 of fire H784 by night. H3915

αλλα και παντες οι κατοικουντες επι της γης ταυτης ακηκοασιν οτι συ ει κυριος εν τω λαω τουτω οστις οφθαλμοις κατ οφθαλμους οπταζη κυριε και η νεφελη σου εφεστηκεν επ αυτων και εν στυλω νεφελης συ πορευη προτερος αυτων την ημεραν και εν στυλω πυρος την νυκτα
