και κατελαβετο δαυιδ την περιοχην σιων αυτη η πολις του δαυιδ

David lived in the stronghold, and called it David’s city. David built around from Millo and inward.

και εκαθισεν δαυιδ εν τη περιοχη και εκληθη αυτη η πολις δαυιδ και ωκοδομησεν την πολιν κυκλω απο της ακρας και τον οικον αυτου

και ηκουσαν αλλοφυλοι οτι κεχρισται δαυιδ βασιλευς επι ισραηλ και ανεβησαν παντες οι αλλοφυλοι ζητειν τον δαυιδ και ηκουσεν δαυιδ και κατεβη εις την περιοχην

David was then in the stronghold, and the garrison of the Philistines was in Bethlehem at that time.

For man also doesn’t know his time. As the fish that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare, even so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falls suddenly on them.

οτι και γε ουκ εγνω ο ανθρωπος τον καιρον αυτου ως οι ιχθυες οι θηρευομενοι εν αμφιβληστρω κακω και ως ορνεα τα θηρευομενα εν παγιδι ως αυτα παγιδευονται οι υιοι του ανθρωπου εις καιρον πονηρον οταν επιπεση επ αυτους αφνω

I will also spread my net on him, and he will be taken in my snare. I will bring him to Babylon to the land of the Chaldeans; yet he will not see it, though he will die there.

I will also tear your veils and deliver my people out of your hand; and they will no longer be in your hand to be ensnared. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.

και διαρρηξω τα επιβολαια υμων και ρυσομαι τον λαον μου εκ χειρος υμων και ουκετι εσονται εν χερσιν υμων εις συστροφην και επιγνωσεσθε διοτι εγω κυριος

I will spread my net on him, and he will be taken in my snare. I will bring him to Babylon, and will enter into judgment with him there for his trespass that he has trespassed against me.
