And he hath come in, and doth stand by his lord, and Elisha saith unto him, ‘Whence-Gehazi?’ and he saith, ‘Thy servant went not hither or thither.’

He said to him, “Didn’t my heart go with you when the man turned from his chariot to meet you? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and olive groves and vineyards, and sheep and cattle, and male servants and female servants?

And he said H559 (QalImpf) unto him, Went H1980 (QalPerf) not mine heart H3820 [with thee], when the man H376 turned H2015 (QalPerf) again from his chariot H4818 to meet H7125 (QalInf) thee? [Is it] a time H6256 to receive H3947 (QalInf) money, H3701 and to receive H3947 (QalInf) garments, H899 and oliveyards, H2132 and vineyards, H3754 and sheep, H6629 and oxen, H1241 and menservants, H5650 and maidservants? H8198

And he saith unto him, ‘My heart went not when the man turned from off his chariot to meet thee; is it a time to take silver, and to take garments, and olives, and vines, and flock, and herd, and men-servants, and maid-servants?

Please let us go to the Jordan, and each man take a beam from there, and let’s make us a place there, where we may live.” He answered, “Go!”

let us go, we pray thee, unto the Jordan, and we take thence each one beam, and we make for ourselves there a place to dwell there;’ and he saith, ‘Go.’

One said, “Please be pleased to go with your servants.” He answered, “I will go.”

And the one saith, ‘Be pleased, I pray thee, and go with thy servants;’ and he saith, ‘I-I go.’

So he went with them. When they came to the Jordan, they cut down wood.

And he goeth with them, and they come in to the Jordan, and cut down the trees,

He said, “Go and see where he is, that I may send and get him.” He was told, “Behold, he is in Dothan.”

And he said, H559 (QalImpf) Go H3212 (QalImpv) and spy H7200 (QalImpv) where H351 he [is], that I may send H7971 (QalImpf) and fetch H3947 (QalImpf) him. And it was told H5046 (HophImpf) him, saying, H559 (QalInf) Behold, [he is] in Dothan. H1886

And he saith, ‘Go ye and see where he is, and I send and take him;’ and it is declared to him, saying, ‘Lo-in Dothan.’

Elisha said to them, “This is not the way, neither is this the city. Follow me, and I will bring you to the man whom you seek.” He led them to Samaria.

And Elisha H477 said H559 (QalImpf) unto them, This [is] not the way, H1870 neither [is] this H2090 the city: H5892 follow H3212 (QalImpv) H310 me, and I will bring H3212 (HiphImpf) you to the man H376 whom ye seek. H1245 (PielImpf) But he led H3212 (HiphImpf) them to Samaria. H8111

And Elisha saith unto them, ‘This is not the way, nor is this the city; come after me, and I lead you unto the man whom ye seek;’ and he leadeth them to Samaria.

He answered, “You shall not strike them. Would you strike those whom you have taken captive with your sword and with your bow? Set bread and water before them, that they may eat and drink, then go to their master.”

And he answered, H559 (QalImpf) Thou shalt not smite H5221 (HiphImpf) [them]: wouldest thou smite H5221 (HiphPtc) those whom thou hast taken captive H7617 (QalPerf) with thy sword H2719 and with thy bow? H7198 set H7760 (QalImpv) bread H3899 and water H4325 before H6440 them, that they may eat H398 (QalImpf) and drink, H8354 (QalImpf) and go H3212 (QalImpf) to their master. H113

And he saith, ‘Thou dost not smite; those whom thou hast taken captive with thy sword and with thy bow art thou smiting? set bread and water before them, and they eat, and drink, and go unto their lord.’

He prepared a great feast for them. After they ate and drank, he sent them away and they went to their master. So the bands of Syria stopped raiding the land of Israel.

And he prepared H3739 (QalImpf) great H1419 provision H3740 for them: and when they had eaten H398 (QalImpf) and drunk, H8354 (QalImpf) he sent them away, H7971 (PielImpf) and they went H3212 (QalImpf) to their master. H113 So the bands H1416 of Syria H758 came H935 (QalInf) no more H3254 (QalPerf) into the land H776 of Israel. H3478

And he prepareth for them great provision, and they eat and drink, and he sendeth them away, and they go unto their lord: and troops of Aram have not added any more to come in to the land of Israel.

If we say, ‘We will enter into the city,’ then the famine is in the city, and we will die there. If we sit still here, we also die. Now therefore come, and let’s surrender to the army of the Syrians. If they save us alive, we will live; and if they kill us, we will only die.”

If we say, H559 (QalPerf) We will enter H935 (QalImpf) into the city, H5892 then the famine H7458 [is] in the city, H5892 and we shall die H4191 (QalPerf) there: and if we sit still H3427 (QalPerf) here, we die H4191 (QalPerf) also. if we have said, We go in to the city, then the famine is in the city, and we have died there; and if we have sat here, then we have died; and now, come and we fall unto the camp of Aram; if they keep us alive, we live, and if they put us to death-we have died.’

When these lepers came to the outermost part of the camp, they went into one tent, and ate and drank, then carried away silver, gold, and clothing and went and hid it. Then they came back, and entered into another tent and carried things from there also, and went and hid them.

And when these lepers H6879 (PualPtc) came H935 (QalImpf) to the uttermost part H7097 of the camp, H4264 they went H935 (QalImpf) into one H259 tent, H168 and did eat H398 (QalImpf) and drink, H8354 (QalImpf) and carried H5375 (QalImpf) thence silver, H3701 and gold, H2091 and raiment, H899 and went H3212 (QalImpf) and hid H2934 (HiphImpf) [it]; and came again, H7725 (QalImpf) and entered H935 (QalImpf) into another H312 tent, H168 and carried H5375 (QalImpf) thence [also], and went H3212 (QalImpf) and hid H2934 (HiphImpf) [it].

And these lepers come in unto the extremity of the camp, and come in unto one tent, and eat, and drink, and lift up thence silver, and gold, and garments, and go and hide; and they turn back and go in unto another tent, and lift up thence, and go and hide.

Then they said to one another, “We aren’t doing right. Today is a day of good news, and we keep silent. If we wait until the morning light, punishment will overtake us. Now therefore come, let’s go and tell the king’s household.”

And they say one unto another, ‘We are not doing right this day; a day of tidings it is, and we are keeping silent; and-we have waited till the light of the morning, then hath punishment found us; and now, come and we go in and declare to the house of the king.’

Therefore they took two chariots with horses; and the king sent them out to the Syrian army, saying, “Go and see.”

And they take two chariot-horses, and the king sendeth after the camp of Aram, saying, ‘Go, and see.’

They went after them to the Jordan; and behold, all the path was full of garments and equipment which the Syrians had cast away in their haste. The messengers returned and told the king.

And they went H3212 (QalImpf) after H310 them unto Jordan: H3383 and, lo, all the way H1870 [was] full H4392 of garments H899 and vessels, H3627 which the Syrians H758 had cast away H7993 (HiphPerf) in their haste. H2648 (QalInf) And the messengers H4397 returned, H7725 (QalImpf) and told H5046 (HiphImpf) the king. H4428

And they go after them unto the Jordan, and lo, all the way is full of garments and vessels that the Aramaeans have cast away in their haste, and the messengers turn back and declare to the king.

Now Elisha had spoken to the woman whose son he had restored to life, saying, “Arise, and go, you and your household, and stay for a while wherever you can; for Yahweh has called for a famine. It will also come on the land for seven years.”

Then spake H1696 (PielPerf) Elisha H477 unto the woman, H802 whose son H1121 he had restored to life, H2421 (HiphPerf) saying, H559 (QalInf) Arise, H6965 (QalImpv) and go H3212 (QalImpv) thou and thine household, H1004 and sojourn H1481 (QalImpv) wheresoever H834 thou canst sojourn: H1481 (QalImpf) for the Lord H3068 hath called H7121 (QalPerf) for a famine; H7458 and it shall also come H935 (QalPerf) upon the land H776 seven H7651 years. H8141

And Elisha spake unto the woman whose son he had revived, saying, ‘Rise and go, thou and thy household, and sojourn where thou dost sojourn, for Jehovah hath called for a famine, and also, it is coming unto the land seven years.’

The woman arose, and did according to the man of God’s word. She went with her household, and lived in the land of the Philistines for seven years.

And the woman H802 arose, H6965 (QalImpf) and did H6213 (QalImpf) after the saying H1697 of the man H376 of God: H430 and she went H3212 (QalImpf) with her household, H1004 and sojourned H1481 (QalImpf) in the land H776 of the Philistines H6430 seven H7651 years. H8141

And the woman riseth, and doth according to the word of the man of God, and goeth, she and her household, and sojourneth in the land of the Philistines seven years.

The king said to Hazael, “Take a present in your hand, and go meet the man of God, and inquire of Yahweh by him, saying, ‘Will I recover from this sickness?’ ”

And the king H4428 said H559 (QalImpf) unto Hazael, H2371 Take H3947 (QalImpv) a present H4503 in thine hand, H3027 and go, H3212 (QalImpv) meet H7125 (QalInf) the man H376 of God, H430 and enquire H1875 (QalPerf) of the Lord H3068 by him, saying, H559 (QalInf) Shall I recover H2421 (QalImpf) of this disease? H2483

And the king saith unto Hazael, ‘Take in thy hand a present, and go to meet the man of God, and thou hast sought Jehovah by him, saying, Do I revive from this sickness?’

So Hazael went to meet him and took a present with him, even of every good thing of Damascus, forty camels’ burden, and came and stood before him and said, “Your son Benhadad king of Syria has sent me to you, saying, ‘Will I recover from this sickness?’ ”

So Hazael H2371 went H3212 (QalImpf) to meet H7125 (QalInf) him, and took H3947 (QalImpf) a present H4503 with him, H3027 even of every good thing H2898 of Damascus, H1834 forty H705 camels’ H1581 burden, H4853 and came H935 (QalImpf) and stood H5975 (QalImpf) before H6440 him, and said, H559 (QalImpf) Thy son H1121 Benhadad H1130 king H4428 of Syria H758 hath sent H7971 (QalPerf) me to thee, saying, H559 (QalInf) Shall I recover H2421 (QalImpf) of this disease? H2483

And Hazael goeth to meet him, and taketh a present in his hand, even of every good thing of Damascus, a burden of forty camels, and he cometh in and standeth before him, and saith, ‘Thy son Ben-Hadad, king of Aram, hath sent me unto thee, saying, Do I revive from this sickness?’

Elisha said to him, “Go, tell him, ‘You will surely recover;’ however Yahweh has shown me that he will surely die.”

And Elisha H477 said H559 (QalImpf) unto him, Go, H3212 (QalImpv) say H559 (QalImpv) unto him, Thou mayest certainly H2421 (QalInf) recover: H2421 (QalImpf) howbeit the Lord H3068 hath shewed H7200 (HiphPerf) me that he shall surely H4191 (QalInf) die. H4191 (QalImpf)

And Elisha saith unto him, ‘Go, say, Thou dost certainly not revive, seeing Jehovah hath shewed me that he doth surely die.’

Then he departed from Elisha, and came to his master, who said to him, “What did Elisha say to you?” He answered, “He told me that you would surely recover.”

So he departed H3212 (QalImpf) from Elisha, H477 and came H935 (QalImpf) to his master; H113 who said H559 (QalImpf) to him, What said H559 (QalPerf) Elisha H477 to thee? And he answered, H559 (QalImpf) He told H559 (QalPerf) me [that] thou shouldest surely H2421 (QalInf) recover. H2421 (QalImpf)

And he goeth from Elisha, and cometh in unto his lord, and he saith unto him, ‘What said Elisha to thee?’ and he saith, ‘He said to me, Thou dost certainly recover.’

He walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as did Ahab’s house, for he married Ahab’s daughter. He did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight.

And he walked H3212 (QalImpf) in the way H1870 of the kings H4428 of Israel, H3478 as did H6213 (QalPerf) the house H1004 of Ahab: H256 for the daughter H1323 of Ahab H256 was his wife: H802 and he did H6213 (QalImpf) evil H7451 in the sight H5869 of the Lord. H3068

And he walketh in the way of the kings of Israel, as did the house of Ahab, for a daughter of Ahab was to him for a wife, and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah,

He walked in the way of Ahab’s house and did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight, as did Ahab’s house, for he was the son-in-law of Ahab’s house.

And he walked H3212 (QalImpf) in the way H1870 of the house H1004 of Ahab, H256 and did H6213 (QalImpf) evil H7451 in the sight H5869 of the Lord, H3068 as [did] the house H1004 of Ahab: H256 for he [was] the son in law H2860 of the house H1004 of Ahab. H256

and he walketh in the way of the house of Ahab, and doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, like the house of Ahab, for he is son-in-law of the house of Ahab.

He went with Joram the son of Ahab to war against Hazael king of Syria at Ramoth Gilead, and the Syrians wounded Joram.

And he went H3212 (QalImpf) with Joram H3141 the son H1121 of Ahab H256 to the war H4421 against Hazael H2371 king H4428 of Syria H758 in Ramothgilead; H7433 H1568 and the Syrians H761 wounded H5221 (HiphImpf) Joram. H3141

And he goeth with Joram son of Ahab to battle with Hazael king of Aram in Ramoth-Gilead, and the Aramaeans smite Joram,

Elisha the prophet called one of the sons of the prophets, and said to him, “Put your belt on your waist, take this vial of oil in your hand, and go to Ramoth Gilead.

And Elisha H477 the prophet H5030 called H7121 (QalPerf) one H259 of the children H1121 of the prophets, H5030 and said H559 (QalImpf) unto him, Gird up H2296 (QalImpv) thy loins, H4975 and take H3947 (QalImpv) this box H6378 of oil H8081 in thine hand, H3027 and go H3212 (QalImpv) to Ramothgilead: H7433 H1568

And Elisha the prophet hath called to one of the sons of the prophets, and saith to him, ‘Gird up thy loins, and take this vial of oil in thy hand, and go to Ramoth-Gilead,

So the young man, the young prophet, went to Ramoth Gilead.

So the young man, H5288 [even] the young man H5288 the prophet, H5030 went H3212 (QalImpf) to Ramothgilead. H7433 H1568

And the young man goeth-the young man the prophet-to Ramoth-Gilead,

but King Joram had returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him when he fought with Hazael king of Syria.) Jehu said, “If this is your thinking, then let no one escape and go out of the city to go to tell it in Jezreel.”

and king Joram turneth back to be healed in Jezreel, of the wounds with which the Aramaeans smite him, in his fighting with Hazael king of Aram)-and Jehu saith, ‘If it is your mind, let not an escaped one go out from the city, to go to declare it in Jezreel.’

So Jehu rode in a chariot and went to Jezreel, for Joram lay there. Ahaziah king of Judah had come down to see Joram.

So Jehu H3058 rode in a chariot, H7392 (QalImpf) and went H3212 (QalImpf) to Jezreel; H3157 for Joram H3141 lay H7901 (QalActPtc) there. And Ahaziah H274 king H4428 of Judah H3063 was come down H3381 (QalPerf) to see H7200 (QalInf) Joram. H3141

And Jehu rideth, and goeth to Jezreel, for Joram is lying there, and Ahaziah king of Judah hath gone down to see Joram.

So one went on horseback to meet him, and said, “the king says, ‘Is it peace?’ ” Jehu said, “What do you have to do with peace? Fall in behind me!” The watchman said, “The messenger came to them, but he isn’t coming back.”

and the rider on the horse goeth to meet him, and saith, ‘Thus said the king, Is there peace?’ and Jehu saith, ‘What-to thee and to peace? turn round behind me.’ And the watchman declareth, saying, ‘The messenger came unto them, and he hath not returned.’

They went to bury her, but they found no more of her than the skull, the feet, and the palms of her hands.

And they went H3212 (QalImpf) to bury H6912 (QalInf) her: but they found H4672 (QalPerf) no more of her than H518 the skull, H1538 and the feet, H7272 and the palms H3709 of [her] hands. H3027

And they go to bury her, and have not found of her except the skull, and the feet, and the palms of the hands.

He arose and departed, and went to Samaria. As he was at the shearing house of the shepherds on the way,

And he riseth, and cometh in and goeth to Samaria; he is at the shepherds’ shearing-house in the way,

When he had departed from there, he met Jehonadab the son of Rechab coming to meet him. He greeted him, and said to him, “Is your heart right, as my heart is with your heart?” Jehonadab answered, “It is.” “If it is, give me your hand.” He gave him his hand; and he took him up to him into the chariot.

And when he was departed H3212 (QalImpf) thence, he lighted H4672 (QalImpf) on Jehonadab H3082 the son H1121 of Rechab H7394 [coming] to meet H7125 (QalInf) him: and he saluted H1288 (PielImpf) him, and said H559 (QalImpf) to him, Is H3426 thine heart H3824 right, H3477 as my heart H3824 [is] with thy heart? H3824 And Jehonadab H3082 answered, H559 (QalImpf) It is. H3426 If it be, give H5414 (QalImpv) [me] thine hand. And he goeth thence, and findeth Jehonadab son of Rechab-to meet him, and blesseth him, and saith unto him, ‘Is thy heart right, as my heart is with thy heart?’ and Jehonadab saith, ‘It is?’-‘Then it is; give thy hand;’ and he giveth his hand, and he causeth him to come up into him into the chariot,

He said, “Come with me, and see my zeal for Yahweh.” So they made him ride in his chariot.

And he said, H559 (QalImpf) Come H3212 (QalImpv) with me, and see H7200 (QalImpv) my zeal H7068 for the Lord. H3068 So they made him ride H7392 (HiphImpf) in his chariot. H7393

and saith, ‘Come with me, and look on my zeal for Jehovah;’ and they cause him to ride in his chariot.

As soon as he had finished offering the burnt offering, Jehu said to the guard and to the captains, “Go in and kill them! Let no one escape.” So they struck them with the edge of the sword. The guard and the captains threw the bodies out, and went to the inner shrine of the house of Baal.

And it came to pass, as soon as he had made an end H3615 (PielInf) of offering H6213 (QalInf) the burnt offering, H5930 that Jehu H3058 said H559 (QalImpf) to the guard H7323 (QalPtc) and to the captains, H7991 Go in, H935 (QalImpv) [and] slay H5221 (HiphImpv) them; let none H376 come forth. H3318 (QalImpf) And they smote H5221 (HiphImpf) them with the edge H6310 of the sword; H2719 and the guard H7323 (QalPtc) and the captains H7991 cast [them] out, H7993 (HiphImpf) and went H3212 (QalImpf) to the city H5892 of the house H1004 of Baal. And it cometh to pass at his finishing to make the burnt-offering, that Jehu saith to the runners, and to the captains, ‘Go in, smite them, let none come out;’ and they smite them by the mouth of the sword, and the runners and the captains cast them out; and they go unto the city, to the house of Baal,

But Jehu took no heed to walk in the law of Yahweh, the God of Israel, with all his heart. He didn’t depart from the sins of Jeroboam, with which he made Israel to sin.

But Jehu H3058 took no heed H8104 (QalPerf) to walk H3212 (QalInf) in the law H8451 of the Lord H3068 God H430 of Israel H3478 with all his heart: H3824 for he departed H5493 (QalPerf) not from the sins H2403 of Jeroboam, H3379 which made Israel H3478 to sin. H2398 (HiphPerf)

And Jehu hath not taken heed to walk in the law of Jehovah, God of Israel, with all his heart, he hath not turned aside from the sins of Jeroboam, that he caused Israel to sin.

He did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight, and followed the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin. He didn’t depart from it.

And he did H6213 (QalImpf) [that which was] evil H7451 in the sight H5869 of the Lord, H3068 and followed H3212 (QalImpf) H310 the sins H2403 of Jeroboam H3379 the son H1121 of Nebat, H5028 which made Israel H3478 to sin; H2398 (HiphPerf) he departed H5493 (QalPerf) not therefrom.

and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, and goeth after the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, that he caused Israel to sin-he turned not aside from it,

Nevertheless they didn’t depart from the sins of the house of Jeroboam, with which he made Israel to sin, but walked in them; and the Asherah also remained in Samaria.)

Nevertheless they departed H5493 (QalPerf) not from the sins H2403 of the house H1004 of Jeroboam, H3379 who made Israel H3478 sin, H2398 (HiphPerf) [but] walked H1980 (QalPerf) therein: and there remained H5975 (QalPerf) the grove H842 also in Samaria. H8111)

only, they have not turned aside from the sins of the house of Jeroboam, that he caused Israel to sin, therein they walked, and also, the shrine hath remained in Samaria,-

and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, he hath not turned aside from all the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, that he caused Israel to sin, therein he walked.

Then Amaziah sent messengers to Jehoash, the son of Jehoahaz son of Jehu, king of Israel, saying, “Come, let’s look one another in the face.”

King Ahaz went to Damascus to meet Tiglath Pileser king of Assyria, and saw the altar that was at Damascus; and King Ahaz sent to Urijah the priest a drawing of the altar and plans to build it.

And king Ahaz goeth to meet Tiglath-Pileser king of Asshur at Damascus, and seeth the altar that is in Damascus, and king Ahaz sendeth unto Urijah the priest the likeness of the altar, and its pattern, according to all its work,

and walked in the statutes of the nations whom Yahweh cast out from before the children of Israel, and of the kings of Israel, which they made.

They rejected his statutes and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified to them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and followed the nations that were around them, concerning whom Yahweh had commanded them that they should not do like them.

and reject His statutes and His covenant that He made with their fathers, and His testimonies that He testified against them, and go after the vain thing, and become vain, and after the nations that are round about them, of whom Jehovah commanded them not to do like them;

Also Judah didn’t keep the commandments of Yahweh their God, but walked in the statutes of Israel which they made.

Also Judah H3063 kept H8104 (QalPerf) not the commandments H4687 of the Lord H3068 their God, H430 but walked H3212 (QalImpf) in the statutes H2708 of Israel H3478 which they made. H6213 (QalPerf)

Also Judah hath not kept the commands of Jehovah their God, and they walk in the statutes of Israel that they had made.

The children of Israel walked in all the sins of Jeroboam which he did; they didn’t depart from them

For the children H1121 of Israel H3478 walked H3212 (QalImpf) in all the sins H2403 of Jeroboam H3379 which he did; H6213 (QalPerf) they departed H5493 (QalPerf) not from them;

and the sons of Israel walk in all the sins of Jeroboam that he did, they have not turned aside therefrom,

‘I pray Thee, O Jehovah, remember, I pray Thee, how I have walked habitually before Thee in truth, and with a perfect heart, and that which is good in Thine eyes I have done;’ and Hezekiah weepeth-a great weeping.

Isaiah said, “This will be the sign to you from Yahweh, that Yahweh will do the thing that he has spoken: should the shadow go forward ten steps, or go back ten steps?”

And Isaiah saith, ‘This is to thee the sign from Jehovah, that Jehovah doth the thing that He hath spoken-The shadow hath gone on ten degrees, or it doth turn back ten degrees?’

He walked in all the ways that his father walked in, and served the idols that his father served, and worshiped them;

and forsaketh Jehovah, God of his fathers, and hath not walked in the way of Jehovah.

He did that which was right in Yahweh’s eyes, and walked in all the ways of David his father, and didn’t turn away to the right hand or to the left.

And he did H6213 (QalImpf) [that which was] right H3477 in the sight H5869 of the Lord, H3068 and walked H3212 (QalImpf) in all the way H1870 of David H1732 his father, H1 and turned not aside H5493 (QalPerf) to the right hand H3225 or to the left. H8040

and he doth that which is right in the eyes of Jehovah, and walketh in all the way of David his father, and hath not turned aside-right or left.
