He declared to you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even the ten commandments. He wrote them on two stone tablets.

και ανηγγειλεν υμιν την διαθηκην αυτου ην ενετειλατο υμιν ποιειν τα δεκα ρηματα και εγραψεν αυτα επι δυο πλακας λιθινας

Be careful, lest you forget the covenant of Yahweh your God, which he made with you, and make yourselves a carved image in the form of anything which Yahweh your God has forbidden you.

Take heed H8104 (NiphImpv) unto yourselves, lest ye forget H7911 (QalImpf) the covenant H1285 of the Lord H3068 your God, H430 which he made H3772 (QalPerf) with you, and make H6213 (QalPerf) you a graven image, H6459 [or] the likeness H8544 of any H3605 [thing], which the Lord H3068 thy God H430 hath forbidden H6680 (PielPerf) thee.

προσεχετε υμεις μη επιλαθησθε την διαθηκην κυριου του θεου υμων ην διεθετο προς υμας και ποιησητε υμιν εαυτοις γλυπτον ομοιωμα παντων ων συνεταξεν κυριος ο θεος σου

For Yahweh your God is a merciful God. He will not fail you nor destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which he swore to them.

(For the Lord H3068 thy God H430 [is] a merciful H7349 God; H410) he will not forsake H7503 (HiphImpf) thee, neither destroy H7843 (HiphImpf) thee, nor forget H7911 (QalImpf) the covenant H1285 of thy fathers H1 which he sware H7650 (NiphPerf) unto them.

οτι θεος οικτιρμων κυριος ο θεος σου ουκ εγκαταλειψει σε ουδε μη εκτριψει σε ουκ επιλησεται την διαθηκην των πατερων σου ην ωμοσεν αυτοις

Yahweh our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.

The Lord H3068 our God H430 made H3772 (QalPerf) a covenant H1285 with us in Horeb. H2722

κυριος ο θεος υμων διεθετο προς υμας διαθηκην εν χωρηβ

Yahweh didn’t make this covenant with our fathers, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive today.

The Lord H3068 made H3772 (QalPerf) not this covenant H1285 with our fathers, H1 but with us, H587 [even] us, who [are] all of us H428 here alive H2416 this day. H3117

ουχι τοις πατρασιν υμων διεθετο κυριος την διαθηκην ταυτην αλλ η προς υμας υμεις ωδε παντες ζωντες σημερον

and when Yahweh your God delivers them up before you, and you strike them, then you shall utterly destroy them. You shall make no covenant with them, nor show mercy to them.

And when the Lord H3068 thy God H430 shall deliver H5414 (QalPerf) them before H6440 thee; thou shalt smite H5221 (HiphPerf) them, [and] utterly H2763 (HiphInf) destroy H2763 (HiphImpf) them; thou shalt make H3772 (QalImpf) no covenant H1285 with them, nor shew mercy H2603 (QalImpf) unto them:

και παραδωσει αυτους κυριος ο θεος σου εις τας χειρας σου και παταξεις αυτους αφανισμω αφανιεις αυτους ου διαθηση προς αυτους διαθηκην ουδε μη ελεησητε αυτους

Know therefore that Yahweh your God himself is God, the faithful God, who keeps covenant and loving kindness to a thousand generations with those who love him and keep his commandments,

και γνωση οτι κυριος ο θεος σου ουτος θεος θεος πιστος ο φυλασσων διαθηκην και ελεος τοις αγαπωσιν αυτον και τοις φυλασσουσιν τας εντολας αυτου εις χιλιας γενεας

It shall happen, because you listen to these ordinances and keep and do them, that Yahweh your God will keep with you the covenant and the loving kindness which he swore to your fathers.

Wherefore it shall come to pass, if H6118 ye hearken H8085 (QalImpf) to these judgments, H4941 and keep, H8104 (QalPerf) and do H6213 (QalPerf) them, that the Lord H3068 thy God H430 shall keep H8104 (QalPerf) unto thee the covenant H1285 and the mercy H2617 which he sware H7650 (NiphPerf) unto thy fathers: H1

και εσται ηνικα αν ακουσητε παντα τα δικαιωματα ταυτα και φυλαξητε και ποιησητε αυτα και διαφυλαξει κυριος ο θεος σου σοι την διαθηκην και το ελεος ο ωμοσεν τοις πατρασιν υμων

But you shall remember Yahweh your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he swore to your fathers, as it is today.

και μνησθηση κυριου του θεου σου οτι αυτος σοι διδωσιν ισχυν του ποιησαι δυναμιν και ινα στηση την διαθηκην αυτου ην ωμοσεν κυριος τοις πατρασιν σου ως σημερον

When I had gone up onto the mountain to receive the stone tablets, even the tablets of the covenant which Yahweh made with you, then I stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights. I neither ate bread nor drank water.

αναβαινοντος μου εις το ορος λαβειν τας πλακας τας λιθινας πλακας διαθηκης ας διεθετο κυριος προς υμας και κατεγινομην εν τω ορει τεσσαρακοντα ημερας και τεσσαρακοντα νυκτας αρτον ουκ εφαγον και υδωρ ουκ επιον

It came to pass at the end of forty days and forty nights that Yahweh gave me the two stone tablets, even the tablets of the covenant.

And it came to pass at the end H7093 of forty H705 days H3117 and forty H705 nights, H3915 [that] the Lord H3068 gave H5414 (QalPerf) me the two H8147 tables H3871 of stone, H68 [even] the tables H3871 of the covenant. H1285

So I turned and came down from the mountain, and the mountain was burning with fire. The two tablets of the covenant were in my two hands.

At that time Yahweh set apart the tribe of Levi to bear the ark of Yahweh’s covenant, to stand before Yahweh to minister to him, and to bless in his name, to this day.

εν εκεινω τω καιρω διεστειλεν κυριος την φυλην την λευι αιρειν την κιβωτον της διαθηκης κυριου παρεσταναι εναντι κυριου λειτουργειν και επευχεσθαι επι τω ονοματι αυτου εως της ημερας ταυτης

If there is found among you, within any of your gates which Yahweh your God gives you, a man or woman who does that which is evil in Yahweh your God’s sight in transgressing his covenant,

If there be found H4672 (NiphImpf) among H7130 you, within any H259 of thy gates H8179 which the Lord H3068 thy God H430 giveth H5414 (QalActPtc) thee, man H376 or woman, H802 that hath wrought H6213 (QalImpf) wickedness H7451 in the sight H5869 of the Lord H3068 thy God, H430 in transgressing H5674 (QalInf) his covenant, H1285

εαν δε ευρεθη εν σοι εν μια των πολεων σου ων κυριος ο θεος σου διδωσιν σοι ανηρ η γυνη οστις ποιησει το πονηρον εναντιον κυριου του θεου σου παρελθειν την διαθηκην αυτου

These are the words of the covenant which Yahweh commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, in addition to the covenant which he made with them in Horeb.

These [are] the words H1697 of the covenant, H1285 which the Lord H3068 commanded H6680 (PielPerf) Moses H4872 to make H3772 (QalInf) with the children H1121 of Israel H3478 in the land H776 of Moab, H4124 beside the covenant H1285 which he made H3772 (QalPerf) with them in Horeb. H2722

^[28:69] ουτοι οι λογοι της διαθηκης ους ενετειλατο κυριος μωυση στησαι τοις υιοις ισραηλ εν γη μωαβ πλην της διαθηκης ης διεθετο αυτοις εν χωρηβ

Therefore keep the words of this covenant and do them, that you may prosper in all that you do.

^[29:8] και φυλαξεσθε ποιειν παντας τους λογους της διαθηκης ταυτης ινα συνητε παντα οσα ποιησετε

that you may enter into the covenant of Yahweh your God, and into his oath, which Yahweh your God makes with you today,

That thou shouldest enter H5674 (QalInf) into covenant H1285 with the Lord H3068 thy God, H430 and into his oath, H423 which the Lord H3068 thy God H430 maketh H3772 (QalActPtc) with thee this day: H3117

^[29:11] παρελθειν εν τη διαθηκη κυριου του θεου σου και εν ταις αραις αυτου οσα κυριος ο θεος σου διατιθεται προς σε σημερον

Neither do I make this covenant and this oath with you only,

^[29:13] και ουχ υμιν μονοις εγω διατιθεμαι την διαθηκην ταυτην και την αραν ταυτην

Yahweh will set him apart for evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant written in this book of the law.

And the Lord H3068 shall separate H914 (HiphPerf) him unto evil H7451 out of all the tribes H7626 of Israel, H3478 according to all the curses H423 of the covenant H1285 that are written H3789 (QalPasPtc) in this book H5612 of the law: H8451

^[29:20] και διαστελει αυτον κυριος εις κακα εκ παντων των υιων ισραηλ κατα πασας τας αρας της διαθηκης τας γεγραμμενας εν τω βιβλιω του νομου τουτου

Then men will say, “Because they abandoned the covenant of Yahweh, the God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them out of the land of Egypt,

Then men shall say, H559 (QalPerf) Because they have forsaken H5800 (QalPerf) the covenant H1285 of the Lord H3068 God H430 of their fathers, H1 which he made H3772 (QalPerf) with them when he brought them forth H3318 (HiphInf) out of the land H776 of Egypt: H4714

^[29:24] και ερουσιν οτι κατελιποσαν την διαθηκην κυριου του θεου των πατερων αυτων α διεθετο τοις πατρασιν αυτων οτε εξηγαγεν αυτους εκ γης αιγυπτου

Moses wrote this law and delivered it to the priests the sons of Levi, who bore the ark of Yahweh’s covenant, and to all the elders of Israel.

And Moses H4872 wrote H3789 (QalImpf) this law, H8451 and delivered H5414 (QalImpf) it unto the priests H3548 the sons H1121 of Levi, H3878 which bare H5375 (QalActPtc) the ark H727 of the covenant H1285 of the Lord, H3068 and unto all the elders H2205 of Israel. H3478

και εγραψεν μωυσης τα ρηματα του νομου τουτου εις βιβλιον και εδωκεν τοις ιερευσιν τοις υιοις λευι τοις αιρουσιν την κιβωτον της διαθηκης κυριου και τοις πρεσβυτεροις των υιων ισραηλ

Yahweh said to Moses, “Behold, you shall sleep with your fathers. This people will rise up and play the prostitute after the strange gods of the land where they go to be among them, and will forsake me and break my covenant which I have made with them.

And the Lord H3068 said H559 (QalImpf) unto Moses, H4872 Behold, thou shalt sleep H7901 (QalActPtc) with thy fathers; H1 and this people H5971 will rise up, H6965 (QalPerf) and go a whoring H2181 (QalPerf) after H310 the gods H430 of the strangers H5236 of the land, H776 whither they go H935 (QalActPtc) [to be] among H7130 them, and will forsake H5800 (QalPerf) me, and break H6565 (HiphPerf) my covenant H1285 which I have made H3772 (QalPerf) with them.

και ειπεν κυριος προς μωυσην ιδου συ κοιμα μετα των πατερων σου και αναστας ο λαος ουτος εκπορνευσει οπισω θεων αλλοτριων της γης εις ην ουτος εισπορευεται εκει εις αυτην και εγκαταλειψουσιν με και διασκεδασουσιν την διαθηκην μου ην διεθεμην αυτοις

For when I have brought them into the land which I swore to their fathers, flowing with milk and honey, and they have eaten and filled themselves, and grown fat, then they will turn to other gods, and serve them, and despise me, and break my covenant.

εισαξω γαρ αυτους εις την γην την αγαθην ην ωμοσα τοις πατρασιν αυτων δουναι αυτοις γην ρεουσαν γαλα και μελι και φαγονται και εμπλησθεντες κορησουσιν και επιστραφησονται επι θεους αλλοτριους και λατρευσουσιν αυτοις και παροξυνουσιν με και διασκεδασουσιν την διαθηκην μου

Moses commanded the Levites, who bore the ark of Yahweh’s covenant, saying,

That Moses H4872 commanded H6680 (PielImpf) the Levites, H3881 which bare H5375 (QalActPtc) the ark H727 of the covenant H1285 of the Lord, H3068 saying, H559 (QalInf)

και ενετειλατο τοις λευιταις τοις αιρουσιν την κιβωτον της διαθηκης κυριου λεγων

“Take this book of the law, and put it by the side of the ark of Yahweh your God’s covenant, that it may be there for a witness against you.

Take H3947 (QalInf) this book H5612 of the law, H8451 and put H7760 (QalPerf) it in the side H6654 of the ark H727 of the covenant H1285 of the Lord H3068 your God, H430 that it may be there for a witness H5707 against thee.

λαβοντες το βιβλιον του νομου τουτου θησετε αυτο εκ πλαγιων της κιβωτου της διαθηκης κυριου του θεου υμων και εσται εκει εν σοι εις μαρτυριον

He said of his father, and of his mother, ‘I have not seen him.’ He didn’t acknowledge his brothers, nor did he know his own children; for they have observed your word, and keep your covenant.

ο λεγων τω πατρι και τη μητρι ουχ εορακα σε και τους αδελφους αυτου ουκ επεγνω και τους υιους αυτου απεγνω εφυλαξεν τα λογια σου και την διαθηκην σου διετηρησεν

and they commanded the people, saying, “When you see the ark of Yahweh your God’s covenant, and the Levitical priests bearing it, then leave your place and follow it.

And they commanded H6680 (PielImpf) the people, H5971 saying, H559 (QalInf) When ye see H7200 (QalInf) the ark H727 of the covenant H1285 of the Lord H3068 your God, H430 and the priests H3548 the Levites H3881 bearing H5375 (QalActPtc) it, then ye shall remove H5265 (QalImpf) from your place, H4725 and go H1980 (QalPerf) after H310 it.

και ενετειλαντο τω λαω λεγοντες οταν ιδητε την κιβωτον της διαθηκης κυριου του θεου ημων και τους ιερεις ημων και τους λευιτας αιροντας αυτην απαρειτε απο των τοπων υμων και πορευεσθε οπισω αυτης

Joshua spoke to the priests, saying, “Take up the ark of the covenant, and cross over before the people.” They took up the ark of the covenant, and went before the people.

And Joshua H3091 spake H559 (QalImpf) unto the priests, H3548 saying, H559 (QalInf) Take up H5375 (QalImpv) the ark H727 of the covenant, H1285 and pass over H5674 (QalImpv) before H6440 the people. You shall command the priests who bear the ark of the covenant, saying, ‘When you come to the brink of the waters of the Jordan, you shall stand still in the Jordan.’ ”

και νυν εντειλαι τοις ιερευσιν τοις αιρουσιν την κιβωτον της διαθηκης λεγων ως αν εισελθητε επι μερους του υδατος του ιορδανου και εν τω ιορδανη στησεσθε

Behold, the ark of the covenant of the Lord^§ of all the earth passes over before you into the Jordan.

Joshua 3:11 The word translated “Lord” is “Adonai.”

When the people moved from their tents to pass over the Jordan, the priests who bore the ark of the covenant being before the people,

και απηρεν ο λαος εκ των σκηνωματων αυτων διαβηναι τον ιορδανην οι δε ιερεις ηροσαν την κιβωτον της διαθηκης κυριου προτεροι του λαου

The priests who bore the ark of Yahweh’s covenant stood firm on dry ground in the middle of the Jordan; and all Israel crossed over on dry ground, until all the nation had passed completely over the Jordan.

And the priests H3548 that bare H5375 (QalActPtc) the ark H727 of the covenant H1285 of the Lord H3068 stood H5975 (QalImpf) firm H3559 (HiphInf) on dry ground H2724 in the midst H8432 of Jordan, H3383 and all the Israelites H3478 passed over H5674 (QalActPtc) on dry ground, H2724 until all the people H1471 were passed H5674 clean H8552 (QalPerf) over H5674 (QalInf) Jordan. και εστησαν οι ιερεις οι αιροντες την κιβωτον της διαθηκης κυριου επι ξηρας εν μεσω του ιορδανου και παντες οι υιοι ισραηλ διεβαινον δια ξηρας εως συνετελεσεν πας ο λαος διαβαινων τον ιορδανην

then you shall tell them, ‘Because the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of Yahweh’s covenant. When it crossed over the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. These stones shall be for a memorial to the children of Israel forever.’ ”

και συ δηλωσεις τω υιω σου λεγων οτι εξελιπεν ο ιορδανης ποταμος απο προσωπου κιβωτου διαθηκης κυριου πασης της γης ως διεβαινεν αυτον και εσονται οι λιθοι ουτοι υμιν μνημοσυνον τοις υιοις ισραηλ εως του αιωνος

Joshua set up twelve stones in the middle of the Jordan, in the place where the feet of the priests who bore the ark of the covenant stood; and they are there to this day.

And Joshua H3091 set up H6965 (HiphPerf) twelve H8147 H6240 stones H68 in the midst H8432 of Jordan, H3383 in the place where the feet H7272 of the priests H3548 which bare H5375 (QalActPtc) the ark H727 of the covenant H1285 stood: H4673 and they are there unto this day. H3117

εστησεν δε ιησους και αλλους δωδεκα λιθους εν αυτω τω ιορδανη εν τω γενομενω τοπω υπο τους ποδας των ιερεων των αιροντων την κιβωτον της διαθηκης κυριου και εισιν εκει εως της σημερον ημερας

When the priests who bore the ark of Yahweh’s covenant had come up out of the middle of the Jordan, and the soles of the priests’ feet had been lifted up to the dry ground, the waters of the Jordan returned to their place, and went over all its banks, as before.

And it came to pass, when the priests H3548 that bare H5375 (QalActPtc) the ark H727 of the covenant H1285 of the Lord H3068 were come up H5927 (QalInf) out of the midst H8432 of Jordan, H3383 [and] the soles H3709 of the priests’ H3548 feet H7272 were lifted up H5423 (NiphPerf) unto the dry land, H2724 that the waters H4325 of Jordan H3383 returned H7725 (QalImpf) unto their place, H4725 and flowed H3212 (QalImpf) over all his banks, H1415 as H8543 [they did] before. και εγενετο ως εξεβησαν οι ιερεις οι αιροντες την κιβωτον της διαθηκης κυριου εκ του ιορδανου και εθηκαν τους ποδας επι της γης ωρμησεν το υδωρ του ιορδανου κατα χωραν και επορευετο καθα εχθες και τριτην ημεραν δι ολης της κρηπιδος

Joshua the son of Nun called the priests, and said to them, “Take up the ark of the covenant, and let seven priests bear seven trumpets of rams’ horns before Yahweh’s ark.”

And Joshua H3091 the son H1121 of Nun H5126 called H7121 (QalImpf) the priests, H3548 and said H559 (QalImpf) unto them, Take up H5375 (QalImpv) the ark H727 of the covenant, H1285 and let seven H7651 priests H3548 bear H5375 (QalImpf) seven H7651 trumpets H7782 of rams’ horns H3104 before H6440 the ark H727 of the Lord. και εισηλθεν ιησους ο του ναυη προς τους ιερεις

It was so, that when Joshua had spoken to the people, the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams’ horns before Yahweh advanced and blew the trumpets, and the ark of Yahweh’s covenant followed them.

και επτα ιερεις εχοντες επτα σαλπιγγας ιερας παρελθετωσαν ωσαυτως εναντιον του κυριου και σημαινετωσαν ευτονως και η κιβωτος της διαθηκης κυριου επακολουθειτω

Israel has sinned. Yes, they have even transgressed my covenant which I commanded them. Yes, they have even taken some of the devoted things, and have also stolen, and also deceived. They have even put it among their own stuff.

ημαρτηκεν ο λαος και παρεβη την διαθηκην ην διεθεμην προς αυτους και κλεψαντες απο του αναθεματος ενεβαλον εις τα σκευη αυτων

It shall be, that he who is taken with the devoted thing shall be burned with fire, he and all that he has, because he has transgressed Yahweh’s covenant, and because he has done a disgraceful thing in Israel.’ ”

And it shall be, [that] he that is taken H3920 (NiphPtc) with the accursed thing H2764 shall be burnt H8313 (NiphImpf) with fire, H784 he and all that he hath: because he hath transgressed H5674 (QalPerf) the covenant H1285 of the Lord, H3068 and because he hath wrought H6213 (QalPerf) folly H5039 in Israel. και ος αν ενδειχθη κατακαυθησεται εν πυρι και παντα οσα εστιν αυτω οτι παρεβη την διαθηκην κυριου και εποιησεν ανομημα εν ισραηλ

They went to Joshua at the camp at Gilgal, and said to him and to the men of Israel, “We have come from a far country. Now therefore make a covenant with us.”

και ηλθοσαν προς ιησουν εις την παρεμβολην ισραηλ εις γαλγαλα και ειπαν προς ιησουν και ισραηλ εκ γης μακροθεν ηκαμεν και νυν διαθεσθε ημιν διαθηκην

The men of Israel said to the Hivites, “What if you live among us? How could we make a covenant with you?”

και ειπαν οι υιοι ισραηλ προς τον χορραιον ορα μη εν εμοι κατοικεις και πως σοι διαθωμαι διαθηκην

Our elders and all the inhabitants of our country spoke to us, saying, ‘Take supplies in your hand for the journey, and go to meet them. Tell them, “We are your servants. Now make a covenant with us.” ’

Wherefore our elders H2205 and all the inhabitants H3427 (QalActPtc) of our country H776 spake H559 (QalImpf) to us, saying, H559 (QalInf) Take H3947 (QalImpv) victuals H6720 with you H3027 for the journey, H1870 and go H3212 (QalImpv) to meet H7125 (QalInf) them, and say H559 (QalPerf) unto them, We [are] your servants: H5650 therefore now make H3772 (QalImpv) ye a league H1285 with us.

και ακουσαντες ειπαν προς ημας οι πρεσβυτεροι ημων και παντες οι κατοικουντες την γην ημων λεγοντες λαβετε εαυτοις επισιτισμον εις την οδον και πορευθητε εις συναντησιν αυτων και ερειτε προς αυτους οικεται σου εσμεν και νυν διαθεσθε ημιν διαθηκην

Joshua made peace with them, and made a covenant with them, to let them live. The princes of the congregation swore to them.

And Joshua H3091 made H6213 (QalImpf) peace H7965 with them, and made H3772 (QalImpf) a league H1285 with them, to let them live: H2421 (PielInf) and the princes H5387 of the congregation H5712 sware H7650 (NiphImpf) unto them.

και εποιησεν ιησους προς αυτους ειρηνην και διεθετο προς αυτους διαθηκην του διασωσαι αυτους και ωμοσαν αυτοις οι αρχοντες της συναγωγης

At the end of three days after they had made a covenant with them, they heard that they were their neighbors, and that they lived among them.

και εγενετο μετα τρεις ημερας μετα το διαθεσθαι προς αυτους διαθηκην ηκουσαν οτι εγγυθεν αυτων εισιν και οτι εν αυτοις κατοικουσιν

when you disobey the covenant of Yahweh your God, which he commanded you, and go and serve other gods, and bow down yourselves to them. Then Yahweh’s anger will be kindled against you, and you will perish quickly from off the good land which he has given to you.”

When ye have transgressed H5674 (QalInf) the covenant H1285 of the Lord H3068 your God, H430 which he commanded H6680 (PielPerf) you, and have gone H1980 (QalPerf) and served H5647 (QalPerf) other H312 gods, H430 and bowed H7812 (HithPerf) yourselves to them; then shall the anger H639 of the Lord H3068 be kindled H2734 (QalPerf) against you, and ye shall perish H6 (QalPerf) quickly H4120 from off the good H2896 land H776 which he hath given H5414 (QalPerf) unto you.

εν τω παραβηναι υμας την διαθηκην κυριου του θεου υμων ην ενετειλατο υμιν και πορευθεντες λατρευσητε θεοις ετεροις και προσκυνησητε αυτοις

So Joshua made a covenant with the people that day, and made for them a statute and an ordinance in Shechem.

So Joshua H3091 made H3772 (QalImpf) a covenant H1285 with the people H5971 that day, H3117 and set H7760 (QalImpf) them a statute H2706 and an ordinance H4941 in Shechem. H7927

και διεθετο ιησους διαθηκην προς τον λαον εν τη ημερα εκεινη και εδωκεν αυτω νομον και κρισιν εν σηλω ενωπιον της σκηνης του θεου ισραηλ

Yahweh’s angel came up from Gilgal to Bochim. He said, “I brought you out of Egypt, and have brought you to the land which I swore to give your fathers. I said, ‘I will never break my covenant with you.

και ανεβη αγγελος κυριου απο γαλγαλ επι τον κλαυθμωνα και επι βαιθηλ και επι τον οικον ισραηλ και ειπεν προς αυτους κυριος κυριος ανεβιβασεν υμας εξ αιγυπτου και εισηγαγεν υμας εις την γην ην ωμοσεν τοις πατρασιν υμων του δουναι υμιν και ειπεν υμιν ου διασκεδασω την διαθηκην μου την μεθ υμων εις τον αιωνα

You shall make no covenant with the inhabitants of this land. You shall break down their altars.’ But you have not listened to my voice. Why have you done this?

And ye shall make H3772 (QalImpf) no league H1285 with the inhabitants H3427 (QalActPtc) of this land; H776 ye shall throw down H5422 (QalImpf) their altars: H4196 but ye have not obeyed H8085 (QalPerf) my voice: H6963 why have ye done H6213 (QalPerf) this?

και υμεις ου διαθησεσθε διαθηκην τοις εγκαθημενοις εις την γην ταυτην ουδε τοις θεοις αυτων ου μη προσκυνησητε αλλα τα γλυπτα αυτων συντριψετε και τα θυσιαστηρια αυτων κατασκαψετε και ουκ εισηκουσατε της φωνης μου οτε ταυτα εποιησατε

Yahweh’s anger burned against Israel; and he said, “Because this nation transgressed my covenant which I commanded their fathers, and has not listened to my voice,

And the anger H639 of the Lord H3068 was hot H2734 (QalImpf) against Israel; H3478 and he said, H559 (QalImpf) Because that this people H1471 hath transgressed H5674 (QalPerf) my covenant H1285 which I commanded H6680 (PielPerf) their fathers, H1 and have not hearkened H8085 (QalPerf) unto my voice; H6963

και ωργισθη θυμω κυριος εν τω ισραηλ και ειπεν ανθ ων οσα εγκατελιπαν το εθνος τουτο την διαθηκην μου ην ενετειλαμην τοις πατρασιν αυτων και ουχ υπηκουσαν της φωνης μου
