διοτι ουτος ανα μεσον αδελφων διαστελει επαξει ανεμον καυσωνα κυριος εκ της ερημου επ αυτον και αναξηρανει τας φλεβας αυτου εξερημωσει τας πηγας αυτου αυτος καταξηρανει την γην αυτου και παντα τα σκευη τα επιθυμητα αυτου

Let the priests, the ministers of Yahweh, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, “Spare your people, Yahweh, and don’t give your heritage to reproach, that the nations should rule over them. Why should they say among the peoples, ‘Where is their God?’ ”

Though you mount on high as the eagle, and though your nest is set among the stars, I will bring you down from there,” says Yahweh.

Shouldn’t I be concerned for Nineveh, that great city, in which are more than one hundred twenty thousand persons who can’t discern between their right hand and their left hand, and also many animals?”

εγω δε ου φεισομαι υπερ νινευη της πολεως της μεγαλης εν η κατοικουσιν πλειους η δωδεκα μυριαδες ανθρωπων οιτινες ουκ εγνωσαν δεξιαν αυτων η αριστεραν αυτων και κτηνη πολλα

and he will judge between many peoples, and will decide concerning strong nations afar off. They will beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they learn war any more.

και κρινει ανα μεσον λαων πολλων και εξελεγξει εθνη ισχυρα εως εις γην μακραν και κατακοψουσιν τας ρομφαιας αυτων εις αροτρα και τα δορατα αυτων εις δρεπανα και ουκετι μη ανταρη εθνος επ εθνος ρομφαιαν και ουκετι μη μαθωσιν πολεμειν

“I had a vision in the night, and behold,^§ a man riding on a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that were in a ravine; and behind him there were red, brown, and white horses.

Zechariah 1:8 “Behold”, from “הִנֵּה”, means look at, take notice, observe, see, or gaze at. It is often used as an interjection.

I saw H7200 (QalPerf) by night, H3915 and behold a man H376 riding H7392 (QalActPtc) upon a red H122 horse, H5483 and he stood H5975 (QalActPtc) among the myrtle trees H1918 that were in the bottom; H4699 and behind H310 him were there red H122 horses, H5483 speckled,^§ H8320 and white. H3836

Zechariah 1:8 Or, bay

εωρακα την νυκτα και ιδου ανηρ επιβεβηκως επι ιππον πυρρον και ουτος ειστηκει ανα μεσον των δυο ορεων των κατασκιων και οπισω αυτου ιπποι πυρροι και ψαροι και ποικιλοι και λευκοι

The man who stood among the myrtle trees answered, “They are the ones Yahweh has sent to go back and forth through the earth.”

και απεκριθησαν τω αγγελω κυριου τω εφεστωτι ανα μεσον των ορεων και ειπον περιωδευκαμεν πασαν την γην και ιδου πασα η γη κατοικειται και ησυχαζει

“Yahweh of Armies says: ‘If you will walk in my ways, and if you will follow my instructions, then you also shall judge my house, and shall also keep my courts, and I will give you a place of access among these who stand by.

και επεστρεψα και ηρα τους οφθαλμους μου και ειδον και ιδου τεσσαρα αρματα εκπορευομενα εκ μεσου δυο ορεων και τα ορη ην ορη χαλκα

He will build Yahweh’s temple. He will bear the glory, and will sit and rule on his throne. He will be a priest on his throne. The counsel of peace will be between them both.

I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth; and he also will be a remnant for our God; and he will be as a chieftain in Judah, and Ekron as a Jebusite.

Zechariah 9:7 Heb. bloods

και απερριψα την ραβδον την δευτεραν το σχοινισμα του διασκεδασαι την κατασχεσιν ανα μεσον ιουδα και ανα μεσον του ισραηλ

One will say to him, ‘What are these wounds between your arms?’ Then he will answer, ‘Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.’
