Thus the children of Israel did. According to all that Yahweh commanded Moses, so they encamped by their standards, and so they set out, everyone by their families, according to their fathers’ houses.

Yahweh said to Moses, “Count all the firstborn males of the children of Israel from a month old and upward, and take the number of their names.

Moses counted, as Yahweh commanded him, all the firstborn among the children of Israel.

And Moses H4872 numbered, H6485 (QalImpf) as the Lord H3068 commanded H6680 (PielPerf) him, all the firstborn H1060 among the children H1121 of Israel. H3478

και επεσκεψατο μωυσης ον τροπον ενετειλατο κυριος παν πρωτοτοκον εν τοις υιοις ισραηλ

“Take the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel, and the livestock of the Levites instead of their livestock; and the Levites shall be mine. I am Yahweh.
