Then Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

“Yahweh says, ‘In this way I will ruin the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem.

“Therefore you shall speak to them this word: ‘Yahweh, the God of Israel says, “Every container should be filled with wine.” ’ They will tell you, ‘Do we not certainly know that every container should be filled with wine?’

Therefore thou shalt speak H559 (QalPerf) unto them this word; H1697 Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H3068 God H430 of Israel, H3478 Every bottle H5035 shall be filled H4390 (NiphImpf) with wine: H3196 and they shall say H559 (QalPerf) unto thee, Do we not certainly H3045 (QalInf) know H3045 (QalImpf) that every bottle H5035 shall be filled H4390 (NiphImpf) with wine? και ερεις προς τον λαον τουτον πας ασκος πληρωθησεται οινου και εσται εαν ειπωσιν προς σε μη γνοντες ου γνωσομεθα οτι πας ασκος πληρωθησεται οινου

Then tell them, ‘Yahweh says, “Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land, even the kings who sit on David’s throne, the priests, the prophets, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, with drunkenness.

Say to the king and to the queen mother, “Humble yourselves. Sit down, for your crowns have come down, even the crown of your glory.

τι ερεις οταν επισκεπτωνται σε και συ εδιδαξας αυτους επι σε μαθηματα εις αρχην ουκ ωδινες καθεξουσιν σε καθως γυναικα τικτουσαν

If you say in your heart, “Why have these things come on me?” Your skirts are uncovered because of the greatness of your iniquity, and your heels suffer violence.

And if thou say H559 (QalImpf) in thine heart, H3824 Wherefore come H7122 (QalPerf) these things upon me? For the greatness H7230 of thine iniquity H5771 are thy skirts H7757 discovered, H1540 (NiphPerf) and thy heels H6119 made bare. H2554 (NiphPerf)

και εαν ειπης εν τη καρδια σου δια τι απηντησεν μοι ταυτα δια το πληθος της αδικιας σου ανεκαλυφθη τα οπισθια σου παραδειγματισθηναι τας πτερνας σου

Yahweh says to this people: “Even so they have loved to wander. They have not restrained their feet. Therefore Yahweh does not accept them. Now he will remember their iniquity, and punish them for their sins.”

ουτως λεγει κυριος τω λαω τουτω ηγαπησαν κινειν ποδας αυτων και ουκ εφεισαντο και ο θεος ουκ ευδοκησεν εν αυτοις νυν μνησθησεται των αδικιων αυτων

Yahweh said to me, “Don’t pray for this people for their good.

Then I said, “Ah, Lord Yahweh! Behold, the prophets tell them, ‘You will not see the sword, neither will you have famine; but I will give you assured peace in this place.’ ”

και ειπα ω κυριε ιδου οι προφηται αυτων προφητευουσιν και λεγουσιν ουκ οψεσθε μαχαιραν ουδε λιμος εσται εν υμιν οτι αληθειαν και ειρηνην δωσω επι της γης και εν τω τοπω τουτω

Then Yahweh said to me, “The prophets prophesy lies in my name. I didn’t send them. I didn’t command them. I didn’t speak to them. They prophesy to you a lying vision, divination, and a thing of nothing, and the deceit of their own heart.

Therefore Yahweh says concerning the prophets who prophesy in my name, but I didn’t send them, yet they say, ‘Sword and famine will not be in this land.’ Those prophets will be consumed by sword and famine.

Therefore thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H3068 concerning the prophets H5030 that prophesy H5012 (NiphPtc) in my name, H8034 and I sent H7971 (QalPerf) them not, yet they say, H559 (QalActPtc) Sword H2719 and famine H7458 shall not be in this land; H776 By sword H2719 and famine H7458 shall those prophets H5030 be consumed. δια τουτο ταδε λεγει κυριος περι των προφητων των προφητευοντων επι τω ονοματι μου ψευδη και εγω ουκ απεστειλα αυτους οι λεγουσιν μαχαιρα και λιμος ουκ εσται επι της γης ταυτης εν θανατω νοσερω αποθανουνται και εν λιμω συντελεσθησονται οι προφηται

“You shall say this word to them: “ ‘Let my eyes run down with tears night and day, and let them not cease; for the virgin daughter of my people is broken with a great breach, with a very grievous wound.

και ερεις προς αυτους τον λογον τουτον καταγαγετε επ οφθαλμους υμων δακρυα ημερας και νυκτος και μη διαλιπετωσαν οτι συντριμματι συνετριβη θυγατηρ λαου μου και πληγη οδυνηρα σφοδρα

Then Yahweh said to me, “Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind would not turn toward this people. Cast them out of my sight, and let them go out!

και ειπεν κυριος προς με εαν στη μωυσης και σαμουηλ προ προσωπου μου ουκ εστιν η ψυχη μου προς αυτους εξαποστειλον τον λαον τουτον και εξελθετωσαν

It will happen when they ask you, ‘Where shall we go out?’ then you shall tell them, ‘Yahweh says: “Such as are for death, to death; such as are for the sword, to the sword; such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for captivity, to captivity.” ’

And it shall come to pass, if they say H559 (QalImpf) unto thee, Whither shall we go forth? H3318 (QalImpf) then thou shalt tell H559 (QalPerf) them, Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord; H3068 Such as are for death, H4194 to death; H4194 and such as are for the sword, H2719 to the sword; H2719 and such as are for the famine, H7458 to the famine; H7458 and such as are for the captivity, H7628 to the captivity. και εσται εαν ειπωσιν προς σε που εξελευσομεθα και ερεις προς αυτους ταδε λεγει κυριος οσοι εις θανατον εις θανατον και οσοι εις μαχαιραν εις μαχαιραν και οσοι εις λιμον εις λιμον και οσοι εις αιχμαλωσιαν εις αιχμαλωσιαν

Yahweh said, “Most certainly I will strengthen you for good. Most certainly I will cause the enemy to make supplication to you in the time of evil and in the time of affliction.

The Lord H3068 said, H559 (QalPerf) Verily H3808 H518 it shall be well H2896 with thy remnant; H8281 (PielPerf) (Qere) H8293 verily H518 I will cause the enemy H341 (QalActPtc) to entreat H6293 (HiphPerf) thee well in the time H6256 of evil H7451 and in the time H6256 of affliction. H6869

γενοιτο δεσποτα κατευθυνοντων αυτων ει μη παρεστην σοι εν καιρω των κακων αυτων και εν καιρω θλιψεως αυτων εις αγαθα προς τον εχθρον

Therefore Yahweh says, “If you return, then I will bring you again, that you may stand before me; and if you take out the precious from the vile, you will be as my mouth. They will return to you, but you will not return to them.

Therefore thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord, H3068 If thou return, H7725 (QalImpf) then will I bring thee again, H7725 (HiphImpf) and thou shalt stand H5975 (QalImpf) before H6440 me: and if thou take forth H3318 (HiphImpf) the precious H3368 from the vile, H2151 (QalActPtc) thou shalt be as my mouth: H6310 let them return H7725 (QalImpf) unto thee; but return H7725 (QalImpf) not thou unto them.

δια τουτο ταδε λεγει κυριος εαν επιστρεψης και αποκαταστησω σε και προ προσωπου μου στηση και εαν εξαγαγης τιμιον απο αναξιου ως στομα μου εση και αναστρεψουσιν αυτοι προς σε και συ ουκ αναστρεψεις προς αυτους

Then Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

The word H1697 of the Lord H3068 came also unto me, saying, H559 (QalInf)

και συ μη λαβης γυναικα λεγει κυριος ο θεος ισραηλ

For Yahweh says concerning the sons and concerning the daughters who are born in this place, and concerning their mothers who bore them, and concerning their fathers who became their father in this land:

For thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H3068 concerning the sons H1121 and concerning the daughters H1323 that are born H3205 (HiphPtc) in this place, H4725 and concerning their mothers H517 that bare H3205 (QalActPtc) them, and concerning their fathers H1 that begat H3209 them in this land; H776

οτι ταδε λεγει κυριος περι των υιων και περι των θυγατερων των γεννωμενων εν τω τοπω τουτω και περι των μητερων αυτων των τετοκυιων αυτους και περι των πατερων αυτων των γεγεννηκοτων αυτους εν τη γη ταυτη

For Yahweh says, “Don’t enter into the house of mourning. Don’t go to lament. Don’t bemoan them, for I have taken away my peace from this people,” says Yahweh, “even loving kindness and tender mercies.

Jeremiah 16:5 Or, mourning feast

ταδε λεγει κυριος μη εισελθης εις θιασον αυτων και μη πορευθης του κοψασθαι και μη πενθησης αυτους οτι αφεστακα την ειρηνην μου απο του λαου τουτου

For Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel says: “Behold, I will cause to cease out of this place, before your eyes and in your days, the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride.

For thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H3068 of hosts, H6635 the God H430 of Israel; H3478 Behold, I will cause to cease H7673 (HiphPtc) out of this place H4725 in your eyes, H5869 and in your days, H3117 the voice H6963 of mirth, H8342 and the voice H6963 of gladness, H8057 the voice H6963 of the bridegroom, H2860 and the voice H6963 of the bride. It will happen, when you tell this people all these words, and they ask you, ‘Why has Yahweh pronounced all this great evil against us?’ or ‘What is our iniquity?’ or ‘What is our sin that we have committed against Yahweh our God?’

And it shall come to pass, when thou shalt shew H5046 (HiphImpf) this people H5971 all these words, H1697 and they shall say H559 (QalPerf) unto thee, Wherefore hath the Lord H3068 pronounced H1696 (PielPerf) all this great H1419 evil H7451 against us? or what is our iniquity? H5771 or what is our sin H2403 that we have committed H2398 (QalPerf) against the Lord H3068 our God? H430

και εσται οταν αναγγειλης τω λαω τουτω απαντα τα ρηματα ταυτα και ειπωσιν προς σε δια τι ελαλησεν κυριος εφ ημας παντα τα κακα ταυτα τις η αδικια ημων και τις η αμαρτια ημων ην ημαρτομεν εναντι κυριου του θεου ημων

then you shall tell them, ‘Because your fathers have forsaken me,’ says Yahweh, ‘and have walked after other gods, have served them, have worshiped them, have forsaken me, and have not kept my law.

και ερεις αυτοις ανθ ων εγκατελιπον με οι πατερες υμων λεγει κυριος και ωχοντο οπισω θεων αλλοτριων και εδουλευσαν αυτοις και προσεκυνησαν αυτοις και εμε εγκατελιπον και τον νομον μου ουκ εφυλαξαντο

“Therefore behold, the days come,” says Yahweh, “that it will no more be said, ‘As Yahweh lives, who brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;’

δια τουτο ιδου ημεραι ερχονται λεγει κυριος και ουκ ερουσιν ετι ζη κυριος ο αναγαγων τους υιους ισραηλ εκ γης αιγυπτου

Yahweh, my strength, my stronghold, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the nations will come to you from the ends of the earth, and will say, “Our fathers have inherited nothing but lies, vanity and things in which there is no profit.

O Lord, H3068 my strength, H5797 and my fortress, H4581 and my refuge H4498 in the day H3117 of affliction, H6869 the Gentiles H1471 shall come H935 (QalImpf) unto thee from the ends H657 of the earth, H776 and shall say, H559 (QalImpf) Surely our fathers H1 have inherited H5157 (QalPerf) lies, H8267 vanity, H1892 and things wherein there is no profit. κυριε ισχυς μου και βοηθεια μου και καταφυγη μου εν ημερα κακων προς σε εθνη ηξουσιν απ εσχατου της γης και ερουσιν ως ψευδη εκτησαντο οι πατερες ημων ειδωλα και ουκ εστιν εν αυτοις ωφελημα

Yahweh says: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man, relies on strength of flesh, and whose heart departs from Yahweh.

Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord; H3068 Cursed H779 (QalPasPtc) be the man H1397 that trusteth H982 (QalImpf) in man, H120 and maketh H7760 (QalPerf) flesh H1320 his arm, H2220 and whose heart H3820 departeth H5493 (QalImpf) from the Lord. H3068

επικαταρατος ο ανθρωπος ος την ελπιδα εχει επ ανθρωπον και στηρισει σαρκα βραχιονος αυτου επ αυτον και απο κυριου αποστη η καρδια αυτου

Behold, they ask me, “Where is Yahweh’s word? Let it be fulfilled now.”

Behold, they say H559 (QalActPtc) unto me, Where is the word H1697 of the Lord? H3068 let it come H935 (QalImpf) now.

ιδου αυτοι λεγουσι προς με που εστιν ο λογος κυριου ελθατω

Yahweh said this to me: “Go and stand in the gate of the children of the people, through which the kings of Judah come in and by which they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem.

Thus said H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H3068 unto me; Go H1980 (QalInf) and stand H5975 (QalPerf) in the gate H8179 of the children H1121 of the people, H5971 whereby the kings H4428 of Judah H3063 come in, H935 (QalImpf) and by the which they go out, H3318 (QalImpf) and in all the gates H8179 of Jerusalem; H3389

ταδε λεγει κυριος βαδισον και στηθι εν πυλαις υιων λαου σου εν αις εισπορευονται εν αυταις βασιλεις ιουδα και εν αις εκπορευονται εν αυταις και εν πασαις ταις πυλαις ιερουσαλημ

Tell them, ‘Hear Yahweh’s word, you kings of Judah, all Judah, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, that enter in by these gates:

and say H559 (QalPerf) unto them, Hear H8085 (QalImpv) ye the word H1697 of the Lord, H3068 ye kings H4428 of Judah, H3063 and all Judah, H3063 and all the inhabitants H3427 (QalActPtc) of Jerusalem, H3389 that enter in H935 (QalActPtc) by these gates: H8179

και ερεις προς αυτους ακουσατε λογον κυριου βασιλεις ιουδα και πασα ιουδαια και πασα ιερουσαλημ οι εισπορευομενοι εν ταις πυλαις ταυταις

Yahweh says, “Be careful, and bear no burden on the Sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem.

thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord; H3068 Take heed H8104 (NiphImpv) to yourselves, H5315 and bear H5375 (QalImpf) no burden H4853 on the sabbath H7676 day, H3117 nor bring H935 (HiphPerf) it in by the gates H8179 of Jerusalem; H3389

ταδε λεγει κυριος φυλασσεσθε τας ψυχας υμων και μη αιρετε βασταγματα εν τη ημερα των σαββατων και μη εκπορευεσθε ταις πυλαις ιερουσαλημ

The word which came to Jeremiah from Yahweh, saying,

The word H1697 which came to Jeremiah H3414 from the Lord, H3068 saying, H559 (QalInf)

ο λογος ο γενομενος παρα κυριου προς ιερεμιαν λεγων

Then Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

Then the word H1697 of the Lord H3068 came to me, saying, H559 (QalInf)

και εγενετο λογος κυριου προς με λεγων

if they do that which is evil in my sight, that they not obey my voice, then I will repent of the good with which I said I would benefit them.

if it do H6213 (QalPerf) evil H7451 in my sight, H5869 that it obey H8085 (QalInf) not my voice, H6963 then I will repent H5162 (NiphPerf) of the good, H2896 wherewith I said H559 (QalPerf) I would benefit H3190 (HiphInf) them.

και ποιησωσιν τα πονηρα εναντιον μου του μη ακουειν της φωνης μου και μετανοησω περι των αγαθων ων ελαλησα του ποιησαι αυτοις

“Now therefore, speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, ‘Yahweh says: “Behold, I frame evil against you, and devise a plan against you. Everyone return from his evil way now, and amend your ways and your doings.” ’

Now therefore go to, speak H559 (QalImpv) to the men H376 of Judah, H3063 and to the inhabitants H3427 (QalActPtc) of Jerusalem, H3389 saying, H559 (QalInf) Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord; H3068 Behold, I frame H3335 (QalActPtc) evil H7451 against you, and devise H2803 (QalActPtc) a device H4284 against you: return H7725 (QalImpv) ye now every one H376 from his evil H7451 way, H1870 and make your ways H1870 and your doings H4611 good. και νυν ειπον προς ανδρας ιουδα και προς τους κατοικουντας ιερουσαλημ ιδου εγω πλασσω εφ υμας κακα και λογιζομαι εφ υμας λογισμον αποστραφητω δη εκαστος απο οδου αυτου της πονηρας και καλλιονα ποιησετε τα επιτηδευματα υμων

But they say, ‘It is in vain; for we will walk after our own plans, and we will each follow the stubbornness of his evil heart.’ ”

και ειπαν ανδριουμεθα οτι οπισω των αποστροφων ημων πορευσομεθα και εκαστος τα αρεστα της καρδιας αυτου της πονηρας ποιησομεν

Therefore Yahweh says: “Ask now among the nations, ‘Who has heard such things?’ The virgin of Israel has done a very horrible thing.

Therefore thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord; H3068 Ask H7592 (QalImpv) ye now among the heathen, H1471 who hath heard H8085 (QalPerf) such things: the virgin H1330 of Israel H3478 hath done H6213 (QalPerf) a very H3966 horrible thing. H8186

δια τουτο ταδε λεγει κυριος ερωτησατε δη εν εθνεσιν τις ηκουσεν τοιαυτα φρικτα α εποιησεν σφοδρα παρθενος ισραηλ

Then they said, “Come! Let’s devise plans against Jeremiah; for the law won’t perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let’s strike him with the tongue, and let’s not give heed to any of his words.”

Jeremiah 18:18 Or, for the tongue

και ειπαν δευτε λογισωμεθα επι ιερεμιαν λογισμον οτι ουκ απολειται νομος απο ιερεως και βουλη απο συνετου και λογος απο προφητου δευτε και παταξωμεν αυτον εν γλωσση και ακουσομεθα παντας τους λογους αυτου

Thus said Yahweh, “Go, and buy a potter’s earthen container, and take some of the elders of the people and of the elders of the priests;

Say, ‘Hear Yahweh’s word, kings of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel says, “Behold, I will bring evil on this place, which whoever hears, his ears will tingle.

και ερεις αυτοις ακουσατε τον λογον κυριου βασιλεις ιουδα και ανδρες ιουδα και οι κατοικουντες ιερουσαλημ και οι εισπορευομενοι εν ταις πυλαις ταυταις ταδε λεγει κυριος ο θεος ισραηλ ιδου εγω επαγω επι τον τοπον τουτον κακα ωστε παντος ακουοντος αυτα ηχησει αμφοτερα τα ωτα αυτου

and shall tell them, ‘Yahweh of Armies says: “Even so I will break this people and this city as one breaks a potter’s vessel, that can’t be made whole again. They will bury in Topheth until there is no place to bury.

Jeremiah 19:11 Heb. be healed

και ερεις ταδε λεγει κυριος ουτως συντριψω τον λαον τουτον και την πολιν ταυτην καθως συντριβεται αγγος οστρακινον ο ου δυνησεται ιαθηναι ετι

Then Jeremiah came from Topheth, where Yahweh had sent him to prophesy, and he stood in the court of Yahweh’s house, and said to all the people:

και ηλθεν ιερεμιας απο της διαπτωσεως ου απεστειλεν αυτον κυριος εκει του προφητευσαι και εστη εν τη αυλη οικου κυριου και ειπε προς παντα τον λαον

“Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel says, ‘Behold, I will bring on this city and on all its towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it, because they have made their neck stiff, that they may not hear my words.’ ”

ταδε λεγει κυριος ιδου εγω επαγω επι την πολιν ταυτην και επι πασας τας πολεις αυτης και επι τας κωμας αυτης απαντα τα κακα α ελαλησα επ αυτην οτι εσκληρυναν τον τραχηλον αυτων του μη εισακουειν των λογων μου

On the next day, Pashhur released Jeremiah out of the stocks. Then Jeremiah said to him, “Yahweh has not called your name Pashhur, but Magormissabib.°

Jeremiah 20:3 “Magormissabib” means “surrounded by terror”

And it came to pass on the morrow, H4283 that Pashur H6583 brought forth H3318 (HiphImpf) Jeremiah H3414 out of the stocks. H4115 Then said H559 (QalImpf) Jeremiah H3414 unto him, The Lord H3068 hath not called H7121 (QalPerf) thy name H8034 Pashur, H6583 but Magor-missabib.° H4036

Jeremiah 20:3 That is, fear round about

και εξηγαγεν πασχωρ τον ιερεμιαν εκ του καταρρακτου και ειπεν αυτω ιερεμιας ουχι πασχωρ εκαλεσεν κυριος το ονομα σου αλλ η μετοικον

For Yahweh says, ‘Behold, I will make you a terror to yourself and to all your friends. They will fall by the sword of their enemies, and your eyes will see it. I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he will carry them captive to Babylon, and will kill them with the sword.

διοτι ταδε λεγει κυριος ιδου εγω διδωμι σε εις μετοικιαν συν πασι τοις φιλοις σου και πεσουνται εν μαχαιρα εχθρων αυτων και οι οφθαλμοι σου οψονται και σε και παντα ιουδαν δωσω εις χειρας βασιλεως βαβυλωνος και μετοικιουσιν αυτους και κατακοψουσιν αυτους εν μαχαιραις

If I say that I will not make mention of him, or speak any more in his name, then there is in my heart as it were a burning fire shut up in my bones. I am weary with holding it in. I can’t.

Then I said, H559 (QalPerf) I will not make mention H2142 (QalImpf) of him, nor speak H1696 (PielImpf) any more in his name. και ειπα ου μη ονομασω το ονομα κυριου και ου μη λαλησω ετι επι τω ονοματι αυτου και εγενετο ως πυρ καιομενον φλεγον εν τοις οστεοις μου και παρειμαι παντοθεν και ου δυναμαι φερειν

Cursed is the man who brought news to my father, saying, “A boy is born to you,” making him very glad.

επικαταρατος ο ανθρωπος ο ευαγγελισαμενος τω πατρι μου λεγων ετεχθη σοι αρσεν ευφραινομενος

The word which came to Jeremiah from Yahweh, when King Zedekiah sent to him Pashhur the son of Malchijah, and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah, the priest, saying,

The word H1697 which came unto Jeremiah H3414 from the Lord, H3068 when king H4428 Zedekiah H6667 sent H7971 (QalInf) unto him Pashur H6583 the son H1121 of Melchiah, H4441 and Zephaniah H6846 the son H1121 of Maaseiah H4641 the priest, H3548 saying, H559 (QalInf)

ο λογος ο γενομενος παρα κυριου προς ιερεμιαν οτε απεστειλεν προς αυτον ο βασιλευς σεδεκιας τον πασχωρ υιον μελχιου και σοφονιαν υιον μαασαιου τον ιερεα λεγων

Then Jeremiah said to them, “Tell Zedekiah:

και ειπεν προς αυτους ιερεμιας ουτως ερειτε προς σεδεκιαν βασιλεα ιουδα

‘Yahweh, the God of Israel says, “Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands, with which you fight against the king of Babylon, and against the Chaldeans who besiege you outside the walls; and I will gather them into the middle of this city.

Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H3068 God H430 of Israel; H3478 Behold, I will turn back H5437 (HiphPtc) the weapons H3627 of war H4421 that are in your hands, H3027 wherewith ye fight H3898 (NiphPtc) against the king H4428 of Babylon, H894 and against the Chaldeans, H3778 which besiege H6696 (QalActPtc) you without H2351 the walls, H2346 and I will assemble H622 (QalPerf) them into the midst H8432 of this city. ταδε λεγει κυριος ιδου εγω μεταστρεφω τα οπλα τα πολεμικα εν οις υμεις πολεμειτε εν αυτοις προς τους χαλδαιους τους συγκεκλεικοτας υμας εξωθεν του τειχους εις το μεσον της πολεως ταυτης

“You shall say to this people, ‘Yahweh says: “Behold, I set before you the way of life and the way of death.

And unto this people H5971 thou shalt say, H559 (QalImpf) Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord; H3068 Behold, I set H5414 (QalActPtc) before H6440 you the way H1870 of life, H2416 and the way H1870 of death. H4194

και προς τον λαον τουτον ερεις ταδε λεγει κυριος ιδου εγω δεδωκα προ προσωπου υμων την οδον της ζωης και την οδον του θανατου
