^[13:6] και ο προφητης εκεινος η ο το ενυπνιον ενυπνιαζομενος εκεινος αποθανειται ελαλησεν γαρ πλανησαι σε απο κυριου του θεου σου του εξαγαγοντος σε εκ γης αιγυπτου του λυτρωσαμενου σε εκ της δουλειας εξωσαι σε εκ της οδου ης ενετειλατο σοι κυριος ο θεος σου πορευεσθαι εν αυτη και αφανιεις τον πονηρον εξ υμων αυτων

προσεχε σεαυτω μη γενηται ρημα κρυπτον εν τη καρδια σου ανομημα λεγων εγγιζει το ετος το εβδομον ετος της αφεσεως και πονηρευσηται ο οφθαλμος σου τω αδελφω σου τω επιδεομενω και ου δωσεις αυτω και βοησεται κατα σου προς κυριον και εσται εν σοι αμαρτια μεγαλη

For the poor will never cease out of the land. Therefore I command you to surely open your hand to your brother, to your needy, and to your poor, in your land.

You shall do according to the decisions of the verdict which they shall give you from that place which Yahweh chooses. You shall observe to do according to all that they shall teach you.

According to the decisions of the law which they shall teach you, and according to the judgment which they shall tell you, you shall do. You shall not turn away from the sentence which they announce to you, to the right hand, nor to the left.

Therefore I command you to set apart three cities for yourselves.

and if you keep all this commandment to do it, which I command you today, to love Yahweh your God, and to walk ever in his ways, then you shall add three cities more for yourselves, in addition to these three.

But if any man hates his neighbor, lies in wait for him, rises up against him, strikes him mortally so that he dies, and he flees into one of these cities;

εαν δε γενηται ανθρωπος μισων τον πλησιον και ενεδρευση αυτον και επαναστη επ αυτον και παταξη αυτου ψυχην και απεθανη και φυγη εις μιαν των πολεων τουτων

When you go out to battle against your enemies, and see horses, chariots, and a people more numerous than you, you shall not be afraid of them; for Yahweh your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt, is with you.

και ερει προς αυτους ακουε ισραηλ υμεις προσπορευεσθε σημερον εις πολεμον επι τους εχθρους υμων μη εκλυεσθω η καρδια υμων μη φοβεισθε μηδε θραυεσθε μηδε εκκλινητε απο προσωπου αυτων

When you draw near to a city to fight against it, then proclaim peace to it.

When thou comest nigh H7126 (QalImpf) unto a city H5892 to fight H3898 (NiphInf) against it, then proclaim H7121 (QalPerf) peace H7965 unto it.

εαν δε προσελθης προς πολιν εκπολεμησαι αυτην και εκκαλεση αυτους μετ ειρηνης

When you shall besiege a city a long time, in making war against it to take it, you shall not destroy its trees by wielding an ax against them; for you may eat of them. You shall not cut them down, for is the tree of the field man, that it should be besieged by you?

When thou shalt besiege H6696 (QalImpf) a city H5892 a long H7227 time, H3117 in making war H3898 (NiphInf) against it to take H8610 (QalInf) it, thou shalt not destroy H7843 (HiphImpf) the trees H6086 thereof by forcing H5080 (QalInf) an axe H1631 against them: for thou mayest eat H398 (QalImpf) of them, and thou shalt not cut them down H3772 (QalImpf) (for the tree H6086 of the field H7704 [is] man’s H120 [life]) to employ H935 (QalInf) [them] in the siege: H6440 H4692

Only the trees that you know are not trees for food, you shall destroy and cut them down. You shall build bulwarks against the city that makes war with you, until it falls.

αλλα ξυλον ο επιστασαι οτι ου καρποβρωτον εστιν τουτο εξολεθρευσεις και εκκοψεις και οικοδομησεις χαρακωσιν επι την πολιν ητις ποιει προς σε τον πολεμον εως αν παραδοθη

The priests the sons of Levi shall come near, for them Yahweh your God has chosen to minister to him, and to bless in Yahweh’s name; and according to their word shall every controversy and every assault be decided.

When you go out to battle against your enemies, and Yahweh your God delivers them into your hands and you carry them away captive,

When thou goest forth H3318 (QalImpf) to war H4421 against thine enemies, H341 (QalActPtc) and the Lord H3068 thy God H430 hath delivered H5414 (QalPerf) them into thine hands, H3027 and thou hast taken H7617 (QalPerf) them captive, H7628

εαν δε εξελθων εις πολεμον επι τους εχθρους σου και παραδω σοι κυριος ο θεος σου εις τας χειρας σου και προνομευσεις την προνομην αυτων

then it shall be, in the day that he causes his sons to inherit that which he has, that he may not give the son of the beloved the rights of the firstborn before the son of the hated, who is the firstborn;

και εσται η αν ημερα κατακληροδοτη τοις υιοις αυτου τα υπαρχοντα αυτου ου δυνησεται πρωτοτοκευσαι τω υιω της ηγαπημενης υπεριδων τον υιον της μισουμενης τον πρωτοτοκον

then you shall bring them both out to the gate of that city, and you shall stone them to death with stones; the lady, because she didn’t cry, being in the city; and the man, because he has humbled his neighbor’s wife. So you shall remove the evil from among you.

but to the lady you shall do nothing. There is in the lady no sin worthy of death; for as when a man rises against his neighbor and kills him, even so is this matter;

και τη νεανιδι ου ποιησετε ουδεν ουκ εστιν τη νεανιδι αμαρτημα θανατου οτι ως ει τις επαναστη ανθρωπος επι τον πλησιον και φονευση αυτου ψυχην ουτως το πραγμα τουτο

because they didn’t meet you with bread and with water on the way when you came out of Egypt, and because they hired against you Balaam the son of Beor from Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse you.

When you go out and camp against your enemies, then you shall keep yourselves from every evil thing.

When the host H4264 goeth forth H3318 (QalImpf) against thine enemies, H341 (QalActPtc) then keep H8104 (NiphPerf) thee from every wicked H7451 thing. H1697

You shall have a trowel among your weapons. It shall be, when you relieve yourself, you shall dig with it, and shall turn back and cover your excrement;

In his day you shall give him his wages, neither shall the sun go down on it, for he is poor and sets his heart on it, lest he cry against you to Yahweh, and it be sin to you.

He will make you high above all nations that he has made, in praise, in name, and in honor, and that you may be a holy people to Yahweh your God, as he has spoken.

και ειναι σε υπερανω παντων των εθνων ως εποιησεν σε ονομαστον και καυχημα και δοξαστον ειναι σε λαον αγιον κυριω τω θεω σου καθως ελαλησεν

It shall happen, if you shall listen diligently to Yahweh your God’s voice, to observe to do all his commandments which I command you today, that Yahweh your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.

And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken H8085 (QalImpf) diligently H8085 (QalInf) unto the voice H6963 of the Lord H3068 thy God, H430 to observe H8104 (QalInf) [and] to do H6213 (QalInf) all his commandments H4687 which I command H6680 (PielPtc) thee this day, H3117 that the Lord H3068 thy God H430 will set H5414 (QalPerf) thee on high H5945 above all nations H1471 of the earth: H776

και εσται ως αν διαβητε τον ιορδανην εις την γην ην κυριος ο θεος υμων διδωσιν υμιν εαν ακοη εισακουσητε της φωνης κυριου του θεου υμων φυλασσειν και ποιειν πασας τας εντολας αυτου ας εγω εντελλομαι σοι σημερον και δωσει σε κυριος ο θεος σου υπερανω παντων των εθνων της γης

Yahweh will cause your enemies who rise up against you to be struck before you. They will come out against you one way, and will flee before you seven ways.

παραδω κυριος ο θεος σου τους εχθρους σου τους ανθεστηκοτας σοι συντετριμμενους προ προσωπου σου οδω μια εξελευσονται προς σε και εν επτα οδοις φευξονται απο προσωπου σου

Your sky that is over your head will be bronze, and the earth that is under you will be iron.

And thy heaven H8064 that [is] over thy head H7218 shall be brass, H5178 and the earth H776 that is under thee [shall be] iron. H1270

Yahweh will bring you, and your king whom you will set over yourselves, to a nation that you have not known, you nor your fathers. There you will serve other gods of wood and stone.

The foreigner who is among you will mount up above you higher and higher, and you will come down lower and lower.

Yahweh will bring a nation against you from far away, from the end of the earth, as the eagle flies: a nation whose language you will not understand,

επαξει κυριος επι σε εθνος μακροθεν απ εσχατου της γης ωσει ορμημα αετου εθνος ο ουκ ακουση της φωνης αυτου

It will happen that as Yahweh rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you, so Yahweh will rejoice over you to cause you to perish and to destroy you. You will be plucked from the land that you are going in to possess.

And it shall come to pass, [that] as the Lord H3068 rejoiced H7797 (QalPerf) over you to do you good, H3190 (HiphInf) and to multiply H7235 (HiphInf) you; so the Lord H3068 will rejoice H7797 (QalImpf) over you to destroy H6 (HiphInf) you, and to bring you to nought; H8045 (HiphInf) and ye shall be plucked H5255 (NiphPerf) from off the land H127 whither thou goest H935 (QalActPtc) to possess H3423 (QalInf) it.

και εσται ον τροπον ευφρανθη κυριος εφ υμιν ευ ποιησαι υμας και πληθυναι υμας ουτως ευφρανθησεται κυριος εφ υμιν εξολεθρευσαι υμας και εξαρθησεσθε απο της γης εις ην υμεις εισπορευεσθε εκει κληρονομησαι αυτην

Even all the nations will say, “Why has Yahweh done this to this land? What does the heat of this great anger mean?”

Even all nations H1471 shall say, H559 (QalPerf) Wherefore hath the Lord H3068 done H6213 (QalPerf) thus unto this land? H776 what [meaneth] the heat H2750 of this great H1419 anger? H639

^[29:23] και ερουσιν παντα τα εθνη δια τι εποιησεν κυριος ουτως τη γη ταυτη τις ο θυμος της οργης ο μεγας ουτος

Then men will say, “Because they abandoned the covenant of Yahweh, the God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them out of the land of Egypt,

Yahweh your God will make you prosperous in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, in the fruit of your livestock, and in the fruit of your ground, for good; for Yahweh will again rejoice over you for good, as he rejoiced over your fathers,

και πολυωρησει σε κυριος ο θεος σου εν παντι εργω των χειρων σου εν τοις εκγονοις της κοιλιας σου και εν τοις γενημασιν της γης σου και εν τοις εκγονοις των κτηνων σου οτι επιστρεψει κυριος ο θεος σου ευφρανθηναι επι σε εις αγαθα καθοτι ηυφρανθη επι τοις πατρασιν σου

Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall come on them; so that they will say in that day, ‘Haven’t these evils come on us because our God is not among us?’

και οργισθησομαι θυμω εις αυτους εν τη ημερα εκεινη και καταλειψω αυτους και αποστρεψω το προσωπον μου απ αυτων και εσται καταβρωμα και ευρησουσιν αυτον κακα πολλα και θλιψεις και ερει εν τη ημερα εκεινη διοτι ουκ εστιν κυριος ο θεος μου εν εμοι ευροσαν με τα κακα ταυτα

I will surely hide my face in that day for all the evil which they have done, in that they have turned to other gods.

And I will surely H5641 (HiphInf) hide H5641 (HiphImpf) my face H6440 in that day H3117 for all the evils H7451 which they shall have wrought, H6213 (QalPerf) in that H3588 they are turned H6437 (QalPerf) unto other H312 gods. H430

As an eagle that stirs up her nest, that flutters over her young, he spread abroad his wings, he took them, he bore them on his feathers.

Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is opposite Jericho. Yahweh showed him all the land of Gilead to Dan,
