ανοιξαι σοι κυριος τον θησαυρον αυτου τον αγαθον τον ουρανον δουναι τον υετον τη γη σου επι καιρου αυτου ευλογησαι παντα τα εργα των χειρων σου και δανιεις εθνεσιν πολλοις συ δε ου δανιη και αρξεις συ εθνων πολλων σου δε ουκ αρξουσιν

and shall not turn away from any of the words which I command you today, to the right hand or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

and thou shalt not go aside H5493 (QalImpf) from any of the words H1697 which I command H6680 (PielPtc) thee this day, H3117 to the right hand, H3225 or to the left, H8040 to go H3212 (QalInf) after H310 other H312 gods H430 to serve H5647 (QalInf) them.

ου παραβηση απο παντων των λογων ων εγω εντελλομαι σοι σημερον δεξια ουδε αριστερα πορευεσθαι οπισω θεων ετερων λατρευειν αυτοις

But it shall come to pass, if you will not listen to Yahweh your God’s voice, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come on you and overtake you.

But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken H8085 (QalImpf) unto the voice H6963 of the Lord H3068 thy God, H430 to observe H8104 (QalInf) to do H6213 (QalInf) all his commandments H4687 and his statutes H2708 which I command H6680 (PielPtc) thee this day; H3117 that all these curses H7045 shall come H935 (QalPerf) upon thee, and overtake H5381 (HiphPerf) thee:

και εσται εαν μη εισακουσης της φωνης κυριου του θεου σου φυλασσειν και ποιειν πασας τας εντολας αυτου οσας εγω εντελλομαι σοι σημερον και ελευσονται επι σε πασαι αι καταραι αυται και καταλημψονται σε

Yahweh will send on you cursing, confusion, and rebuke in all that you put your hand to do, until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly, because of the evil of your doings, by which you have forsaken me.

Yahweh will cause you to be struck before your enemies. You will go out one way against them, and will flee seven ways before them. You will be tossed back and forth among all the kingdoms of the earth.

Deuteronomy 28:25 Heb. for a removing

δωη σε κυριος επικοπην εναντιον των εχθρων σου εν οδω μια εξελευση προς αυτους και εν επτα οδοις φευξη απο προσωπου αυτων και εση εν διασπορα εν πασαις ταις βασιλειαις της γης

Your dead bodies will be food to all birds of the sky, and to the animals of the earth; and there will be no one to frighten them away.

Your sons and your daughters will be given to another people. Your eyes will look and fail with longing for them all day long. There will be no power in your hand.

A nation which you don’t know will eat the fruit of your ground and all of your work. You will only be oppressed and crushed always,

τα εκφορια της γης σου και παντας τους πονους σου φαγεται εθνος ο ουκ επιστασαι και εση αδικουμενος και τεθραυσμενος πασας τας ημερας

You will become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword among all the peoples where Yahweh will lead you away.

And thou shalt become an astonishment, H8047 a proverb, H4912 and a byword, H8148 among all nations H5971 whither the Lord H3068 shall lead H5090 (PielImpf) thee.

και εση εκει εν αινιγματι και παραβολη και διηγηματι εν πασιν τοις εθνεσιν εις ους αν απαγαγη σε κυριος εκει

You will have olive trees throughout all your borders, but you won’t anoint yourself with the oil, for your olives will drop off.

Thou shalt have olive trees H2132 throughout all thy coasts, H1366 but thou shalt not anoint H5480 (QalImpf) thyself with the oil; H8081 for thine olive H2132 shall cast H5394 (QalImpf) his fruit.

ελαιαι εσονται σοι εν πασι τοις οριοις σου και ελαιον ου χριση οτι εκρυησεται η ελαια σου

Locusts will consume all of your trees and the fruit of your ground.

Deuteronomy 28:42 Or, possess

παντα τα ξυλινα σου και τα γενηματα της γης σου εξαναλωσει η ερυσιβη

All these curses will come on you, and will pursue you and overtake you, until you are destroyed, because you didn’t listen to Yahweh your God’s voice, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded you.

Because you didn’t serve Yahweh your God with joyfulness and with gladness of heart, by reason of the abundance of all things;

ανθ ων ουκ ελατρευσας κυριω τω θεω σου εν ευφροσυνη και αγαθη καρδια δια το πληθος παντων

therefore you will serve your enemies whom Yahweh sends against you, in hunger, in thirst, in nakedness, and in lack of all things. He will put an iron yoke on your neck until he has destroyed you.

They will besiege you in all your gates until your high and fortified walls in which you trusted come down throughout all your land. They will besiege you in all your gates throughout all your land which Yahweh your God has given you.

so that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he will eat, because he has nothing left to him, in the siege and in the distress with which your enemy will distress you in all your gates.

If you will not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and fearful name, YAHWEH your God,

He will bring on you again all the diseases of Egypt, which you were afraid of; and they will cling to you.

Deuteronomy 28:61 Heb. cause to ascend

και πασαν μαλακιαν και πασαν πληγην την μη γεγραμμενην εν τω βιβλιω του νομου τουτου επαξει κυριος επι σε εως αν εξολεθρευση σε

Yahweh will scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other end of the earth. There you will serve other gods which you have not known, you nor your fathers, even wood and stone.

Therefore keep the words of this covenant and do them, that you may prosper in all that you do.

All of you stand today in the presence of Yahweh your God: your heads, your tribes, your elders, and your officers, even all the men of Israel,

Yahweh will not pardon him, but then Yahweh’s anger and his jealousy will smoke against that man, and all the curse that is written in this book will fall on him, and Yahweh will blot out his name from under the sky.

Yahweh will set him apart for evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant written in this book of the law.

And the Lord H3068 shall separate H914 (HiphPerf) him unto evil H7451 out of all the tribes H7626 of Israel, H3478 according to all the curses H423 of the covenant H1285 that are written^§ H3789 (QalPasPtc) in this book H5612 of the law: H8451

Deuteronomy 29:21 Heb. is written

^[29:20] και διαστελει αυτον κυριος εις κακα εκ παντων των υιων ισραηλ κατα πασας τας αρας της διαθηκης τας γεγραμμενας εν τω βιβλιω του νομου τουτου

that all of its land is sulfur, salt, and burning, that it is not sown, doesn’t produce, nor does any grass grow in it, like the overthrow of Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, which Yahweh overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath.

and that the whole land H776 thereof is brimstone, H1614 and salt, H4417 and burning, H8316 that it is not sown, H2232 (NiphImpf) nor beareth, H6779 (HiphImpf) nor any grass H6212 groweth H5927 (QalImpf) therein, like the overthrow H4114 of Sodom, H5467 and Gomorrah, H6017 Admah, H126 and Zeboim, H6636 which the Lord H3068 overthrew H2015 (QalPerf) in his anger, H639 and in his wrath: H2534

^[29:22] θειον και αλα κατακεκαυμενον πασα η γη αυτης ου σπαρησεται ουδε ανατελει ουδε μη αναβη επ αυτην παν χλωρον ωσπερ κατεστραφη σοδομα και γομορρα αδαμα και σεβωιμ ας κατεστρεψεν κυριος εν θυμω και οργη

Even all the nations will say, “Why has Yahweh done this to this land? What does the heat of this great anger mean?”

even all nations H1471 shall say, H559 (QalPerf) Wherefore hath the Lord H3068 done H6213 (QalPerf) thus unto this land? H776 what meaneth the heat H2750 of this great H1419 anger? H639

^[29:23] και ερουσιν παντα τα εθνη δια τι εποιησεν κυριος ουτως τη γη ταυτη τις ο θυμος της οργης ο μεγας ουτος

Therefore Yahweh’s anger burned against this land, to bring on it all the curses that are written in this book.

and the anger H639 of the Lord H3068 was kindled H2734 (QalImpf) against this land, H776 to bring H935 (HiphInf) upon it all the curses H7045 that are written H3789 (QalPasPtc) in this book: H5612

^[29:26] και ωργισθη θυμω κυριος επι την γην εκεινην επαγαγειν επ αυτην κατα πασας τας καταρας τας γεγραμμενας εν τω βιβλιω του νομου τουτου

The secret things belong to Yahweh our God; but the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.

The secret H5641 (NiphPtc) things belong unto the Lord H3068 our God: H430 but those things which are revealed H1540 (NiphPtc) belong unto us and to our children H1121 for H5704 ever, H5769 that we may do H6213 (QalInf) all the words H1697 of this law. H8451

^[29:28] τα κρυπτα κυριω τω θεω ημων τα δε φανερα ημιν και τοις τεκνοις ημων εις τον αιωνα ποιειν παντα τα ρηματα του νομου τουτου

It shall happen, when all these things have come on you, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before you, and you shall call them to mind among all the nations where Yahweh your God has driven you,

And it shall come to pass, when all these things H1697 are come H935 (QalImpf) upon thee, the blessing H1293 and the curse, H7045 which I have set H5414 (QalPerf) before H6440 thee, and thou shalt call H7725 (HiphPerf) them to mind H3824 among all the nations, H1471 whither the Lord H3068 thy God H430 hath driven H5080 (HiphPerf) thee,

and return to Yahweh your God and obey his voice according to all that I command you today, you and your children, with all your heart and with all your soul,

και επιστραφηση επι κυριον τον θεον σου και υπακουση της φωνης αυτου κατα παντα οσα εγω εντελλομαι σοι σημερον εξ ολης της καρδιας σου και εξ ολης της ψυχης σου

that then Yahweh your God will release you from captivity, have compassion on you, and will return and gather you from all the peoples where Yahweh your God has scattered you.

that then the Lord H3068 thy God H430 will turn H7725 (QalPerf) thy captivity, H7622 and have compassion H7355 (PielPerf) upon thee, and will return H7725 (QalPerf) and gather H6908 (PielPerf) thee from all the nations, H5971 whither the Lord H3068 thy God H430 hath scattered H6327 (HiphPerf) thee.

και ιασεται κυριος τας αμαρτιας σου και ελεησει σε και παλιν συναξει σε εκ παντων των εθνων εις ους διεσκορπισεν σε κυριος εκει

Yahweh your God will circumcise your heart, and the heart of your offspring, to love Yahweh your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live.

And the Lord H3068 thy God H430 will circumcise H4135 (QalPerf) thine heart, H3824 and the heart H3824 of thy seed, H2233 to love H157 (QalInf) the Lord H3068 thy God H430 with all thine heart, H3824 and with all thy soul, H5315 that thou mayest live. H2416

και περικαθαριει κυριος την καρδιαν σου και την καρδιαν του σπερματος σου αγαπαν κυριον τον θεον σου εξ ολης της καρδιας σου και εξ ολης της ψυχης σου ινα ζης συ

Yahweh your God will put all these curses on your enemies and on those who hate you, who persecuted you.

And the Lord H3068 thy God H430 will put H5414 (QalPerf) all these curses H423 upon thine enemies, H341 (QalActPtc) and on them that hate H8130 (QalActPtc) thee, which persecuted H7291 (QalPerf) thee.

You shall return and obey Yahweh’s voice, and do all his commandments which I command you today.

και πολυωρησει σε κυριος ο θεος σου εν παντι εργω των χειρων σου εν τοις εκγονοις της κοιλιας σου και εν τοις γενημασιν της γης σου και εν τοις εκγονοις των κτηνων σου οτι επιστρεψει κυριος ο θεος σου ευφρανθηναι επι σε εις αγαθα καθοτι ηυφρανθη επι τοις πατρασιν σου

if you will obey Yahweh your God’s voice, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, if you turn to Yahweh your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

εαν εισακουσης της φωνης κυριου του θεου σου φυλασσεσθαι και ποιειν πασας τας εντολας αυτου και τα δικαιωματα αυτου και τας κρισεις αυτου τας γεγραμμενας εν τω βιβλιω του νομου τουτου εαν επιστραφης επι κυριον τον θεον σου εξ ολης της καρδιας σου και εξ ολης της ψυχης σου

Moses went and spoke these words to all Israel.

και συνετελεσεν μωυσης λαλων παντας τους λογους τουτους προς παντας υιους ισραηλ

Yahweh will deliver them up before you, and you shall do to them according to all the commandment which I have commanded you.

και παρεδωκεν αυτους κυριος υμιν και ποιησετε αυτοις καθοτι ενετειλαμην υμιν

Moses called to Joshua, and said to him in the sight of all Israel, “Be strong and courageous, for you shall go with this people into the land which Yahweh has sworn to their fathers to give them; and you shall cause them to inherit it.

και εκαλεσεν μωυσης ιησουν και ειπεν αυτω εναντι παντος ισραηλ ανδριζου και ισχυε συ γαρ εισελευση προ προσωπου του λαου τουτου εις την γην ην ωμοσεν κυριος τοις πατρασιν ημων δουναι αυτοις και συ κατακληρονομησεις αυτην αυτοις

Moses wrote this law and delivered it to the priests the sons of Levi, who bore the ark of Yahweh’s covenant, and to all the elders of Israel.

And Moses H4872 wrote H3789 (QalImpf) this law, H8451 and delivered H5414 (QalImpf) it unto the priests H3548 the sons H1121 of Levi, H3878 which bare H5375 (QalActPtc) the ark H727 of the covenant H1285 of the Lord, H3068 and unto all the elders H2205 of Israel. H3478

και εγραψεν μωυσης τα ρηματα του νομου τουτου εις βιβλιον και εδωκεν τοις ιερευσιν τοις υιοις λευι τοις αιρουσιν την κιβωτον της διαθηκης κυριου και τοις πρεσβυτεροις των υιων ισραηλ

when all Israel has come to appear before Yahweh your God in the place which he will choose, you shall read this law before all Israel in their hearing.

when all Israel H3478 is come H935 (QalInf) to appear H7200 (NiphInf) before H6440 the Lord H3068 thy God H430 in the place H4725 which he shall choose, H977 (QalImpf) thou shalt read H7121 (QalImpf) this law H8451 before all Israel H3478 in their hearing. H241

εν τω συμπορευεσθαι παντα ισραηλ οφθηναι ενωπιον κυριου του θεου σου εν τω τοπω ω αν εκλεξηται κυριος αναγνωσεσθε τον νομον τουτον εναντιον παντος ισραηλ εις τα ωτα αυτων

Assemble the people, the men and the women and the little ones, and the foreigners who are within your gates, that they may hear, learn, fear Yahweh your God, and observe to do all the words of this law,

Gather H6950 the people H5971 together, H6950 (HiphImpv) men, H582 and women, H802 and children, H2945 and thy stranger H1616 that is within thy gates, H8179 that they may hear, H8085 (QalImpf) and that they may learn, H3925 (QalImpf) and fear H3372 (QalPerf) the Lord H3068 your God, H430 and observe H8104 (QalPerf) to do H6213 (QalInf) all the words H1697 of this law: H8451

εκκλησιασας τον λαον τους ανδρας και τας γυναικας και τα εκγονα και τον προσηλυτον τον εν ταις πολεσιν υμων ινα ακουσωσιν και ινα μαθωσιν φοβεισθαι κυριον τον θεον υμων και ακουσονται ποιειν παντας τους λογους του νομου τουτου

and that their children, who have not known, may hear and learn to fear Yahweh your God, as long as you live in the land where you go over the Jordan to possess it.”

and that their children, H1121 which have not known H3045 (QalPerf) any thing, may hear, H8085 (QalImpf) and learn H3925 (QalPerf) to fear H3372 (QalInf) the Lord H3068 your God, H430 as long as H3117 ye live H2416 in the land H127 whither ye go over H5674 (QalActPtc) Jordan H3383 to possess H3423 (QalInf) it.

και οι υιοι αυτων οι ουκ οιδασιν ακουσονται και μαθησονται φοβεισθαι κυριον τον θεον υμων πασας τας ημερας οσας αυτοι ζωσιν επι της γης εις ην υμεις διαβαινετε τον ιορδανην εκει κληρονομησαι αυτην

I will surely hide my face in that day for all the evil which they have done, in that they have turned to other gods.

And I will surely H5641 (HiphInf) hide H5641 (HiphImpf) my face H6440 in that day H3117 for all the evils H7451 which they shall have wrought, H6213 (QalPerf) in that H3588 they are turned H6437 (QalPerf) unto other H312 gods. H430

εγω δε αποστροφη αποστρεψω το προσωπον μου απ αυτων εν τη ημερα εκεινη δια πασας τας κακιας ας εποιησαν οτι επεστρεψαν επι θεους αλλοτριους

Assemble to me all the elders of your tribes and your officers, that I may speak these words in their ears, and call heaven and earth to witness against them.

εκκλησιασατε προς με τους φυλαρχους υμων και τους πρεσβυτερους υμων και τους κριτας υμων και τους γραμματοεισαγωγεις υμων ινα λαλησω εις τα ωτα αυτων παντας τους λογους τουτους και διαμαρτυρωμαι αυτοις τον τε ουρανον και την γην

Moses spoke in the ears of all the assembly of Israel the words of this song, until they were finished.

και ελαλησεν μωυσης εις τα ωτα πασης εκκλησιας ισραηλ τα ρηματα της ωδης ταυτης εως εις τελος
