The name of that place was called Kibroth Hattaavah,° because there they buried the people who lusted.

“Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘When you come into the land where I bring you,

The children of Israel, even the whole congregation, came into the wilderness of Zin in the first month. The people stayed in Kadesh. Miriam died there, and was buried there.

and strip Aaron of his garments, and put them on Eleazar his son. Aaron shall be gathered, and shall die there.”

Moses stripped Aaron of his garments, and put them on Eleazar his son. Aaron died there on the top of the mountain, and Moses and Eleazar came down from the mountain.

Moses sent to spy out Jazer. They took its villages, and drove out the Amorites who were there.

και απεστειλεν μωυσης κατασκεψασθαι την ιαζηρ και κατελαβοντο αυτην και τας κωμας αυτης και εξεβαλον τον αμορραιον τον κατοικουντα εκει

In the morning, Balak took Balaam, and brought him up into the high places of Baal; and he saw from there part of the people.

Balak said to him, “Please come with me to another place, where you may see them. You shall see just part of them, and shall not see them all. Curse them from there for me.”

και ειπεν προς αυτον βαλακ δευρο ετι μετ εμου εις τοπον αλλον εξ ων ουκ οψη αυτον εκειθεν αλλ η μερος τι αυτου οψη παντας δε ου μη ιδης και καταρασαι μοι αυτον εκειθεν

Balak said to Balaam, “Come now, I will take you to another place; perhaps it will please God that you may curse them for me from there.”

και ειπεν βαλακ προς βαλααμ δευρο παραλαβω σε εις τοπον αλλον ει αρεσει τω θεω και καταρασαι μοι αυτον εκειθεν

Our little ones, our wives, our flocks, and all our livestock shall be there in the cities of Gilead;

η αποσκευη ημων και αι γυναικες ημων και παντα τα κτηνη ημων εσονται εν ταις πολεσιν γαλααδ

They traveled from Marah, and came to Elim. In Elim, there were twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees, and they encamped there.

And they removed H5265 (QalImpf) from Marah, H4785 and came H935 (QalImpf) unto Elim: H362 and in Elim H362 were twelve H8147 H6240 fountains H5869 of water, H4325 and threescore and ten H7657 palm trees; H8558 and they pitched H2583 (QalImpf) there.

και απηραν εκ πικριων και ηλθον εις αιλιμ και εν αιλιμ δωδεκα πηγαι υδατων και εβδομηκοντα στελεχη φοινικων και παρενεβαλον εκει παρα το υδωρ

They traveled from Alush, and encamped in Rephidim, where there was no water for the people to drink.

You shall inherit the land by lot according to your families; to the larger groups you shall give a larger inheritance, and to the smaller you shall give a smaller inheritance. Wherever the lot falls to any man, that shall be his. You shall inherit according to the tribes of your fathers.
