Yahweh said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain, and stay here, and I will give you the stone tablets with the law and the commands that I have written, that you may teach them.”

And the Lord H3068 said H559 (QalImpf) unto Moses, H4872 Come up H5927 (QalImpv) to me into the mount, H2022 and be there: and I will give H5414 (QalImpf) thee tables H3871 of stone, H68 and a law, H8451 and commandments H4687 which I have written; H3789 (QalPerf) that thou mayest teach H3384 (HiphInf) them.

και ειπεν κυριος προς μωυσην αναβηθι προς με εις το ορος και ισθι εκει και δωσω σοι τα πυξια τα λιθινα τον νομον και τας εντολας ας εγραψα νομοθετησαι αυτοις

You shall make it hollow with planks. They shall make it as it has been shown you on the mountain.

κοιλον σανιδωτον ποιησεις αυτο κατα το παραδειχθεν σοι εν τω ορει ουτως ποιησεις αυτο

When he finished speaking with him on Mount Sinai, he gave Moses the two tablets of the covenant, stone tablets, written with God’s finger.

και εδωκεν μωυσει ηνικα κατεπαυσεν λαλων αυτω εν τω ορει τω σινα τας δυο πλακας του μαρτυριου πλακας λιθινας γεγραμμενας τω δακτυλω του θεου

Moses turned, and went down from the mountain, with the two tablets of the covenant in his hand; tablets that were written on both their sides. They were written on one side and on the other.

και αποστρεψας μωυσης κατεβη απο του ορους και αι δυο πλακες του μαρτυριου εν ταις χερσιν αυτου πλακες λιθιναι καταγεγραμμεναι εξ αμφοτερων των μερων αυτων ενθεν και ενθεν ησαν γεγραμμεναι

The tablets were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, engraved on the tablets.

και αι πλακες εργον θεου ησαν και η γραφη γραφη θεου εστιν κεκολαμμενη εν ταις πλαξιν

As soon as he came near to the camp, he saw the calf and the dancing. Then Moses’ anger grew hot, and he threw the tablets out of his hands, and broke them beneath the mountain.

και ηνικα ηγγιζεν τη παρεμβολη ορα τον μοσχον και τους χορους και οργισθεις θυμω μωυσης ερριψεν απο των χειρων αυτου τας δυο πλακας και συνετριψεν αυτας υπο το ορος

Yahweh said to Moses, “Chisel two stone tablets like the first. I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke.

And the Lord H3068 said H559 (QalImpf) unto Moses, H4872 Hew H6458 (QalImpv) thee two H8147 tables H3871 of stone H68 like unto the first: H7223 and I will write H3789 (QalPerf) upon [these] tables H3871 the words H1697 that were in the first H7223 tables, H3871 which thou brakest. και ειπεν κυριος προς μωυσην λαξευσον σεαυτω δυο πλακας λιθινας καθως και αι πρωται και αναβηθι προς με εις το ορος και γραψω επι των πλακων τα ρηματα α ην εν ταις πλαξιν ταις πρωταις αις συνετριψας

He chiseled two tablets of stone like the first; then Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up to Mount Sinai, as Yahweh had commanded him, and took in his hand two stone tablets.

και ελαξευσεν δυο πλακας λιθινας καθαπερ και αι πρωται και ορθρισας μωυσης ανεβη εις το ορος το σινα καθοτι συνεταξεν αυτω κυριος και ελαβεν μωυσης τας δυο πλακας τας λιθινας

He was there with Yahweh forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread, nor drank water. He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.

και ην εκει μωυσης εναντιον κυριου τεσσαρακοντα ημερας και τεσσαρακοντα νυκτας αρτον ουκ εφαγεν και υδωρ ουκ επιεν και εγραψεν τα ρηματα ταυτα επι των πλακων της διαθηκης τους δεκα λογους

When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the covenant in Moses’ hand, when he came down from the mountain, Moses didn’t know that the skin of his face shone by reason of his speaking with him.

ως δε κατεβαινεν μωυσης εκ του ορους και αι δυο πλακες επι των χειρων μωυση καταβαινοντος δε αυτου εκ του ορους μωυσης ουκ ηδει οτι δεδοξασται η οψις του χρωματος του προσωπου αυτου εν τω λαλειν αυτον αυτω

He put the poles into the rings on the sides of the altar, with which to carry it. He made it hollow with planks.

He declared to you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even the ten commandments. He wrote them on two stone tablets.

Yahweh spoke these words to all your assembly on the mountain out of the middle of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice. He added no more. He wrote them on two stone tablets, and gave them to me.

τα ρηματα ταυτα ελαλησεν κυριος προς πασαν συναγωγην υμων εν τω ορει εκ μεσου του πυρος σκοτος γνοφος θυελλα φωνη μεγαλη και ου προσεθηκεν και εγραψεν αυτα επι δυο πλακας λιθινας και εδωκεν μοι

When I had gone up onto the mountain to receive the stone tablets, even the tablets of the covenant which Yahweh made with you, then I stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights. I neither ate bread nor drank water.

When I was gone up H5927 (QalInf) into the mount H2022 to receive H3947 (QalInf) the tables H3871 of stone, H68 [even] the tables H3871 of the covenant H1285 which the Lord H3068 made H3772 (QalPerf) with you, then I abode H3427 (QalImpf) in the mount H2022 forty H705 days H3117 and forty H705 nights, H3915 I neither did eat H398 (QalPerf) bread H3899 nor drink H8354 (QalPerf) water: H4325

αναβαινοντος μου εις το ορος λαβειν τας πλακας τας λιθινας πλακας διαθηκης ας διεθετο κυριος προς υμας και κατεγινομην εν τω ορει τεσσαρακοντα ημερας και τεσσαρακοντα νυκτας αρτον ουκ εφαγον και υδωρ ουκ επιον

Yahweh delivered to me the two stone tablets written with God’s finger. On them were all the words which Yahweh spoke with you on the mountain out of the middle of the fire in the day of the assembly.

And the Lord H3068 delivered H5414 (QalImpf) unto me two H8147 tables H3871 of stone H68 written H3789 (QalPasPtc) with the finger H676 of God; H430 and on them [was written] according to all the words, H1697 which the Lord H3068 spake H1696 (PielPerf) with you in the mount H2022 out of the midst H8432 of the fire H784 in the day H3117 of the assembly. και εδωκεν κυριος εμοι τας δυο πλακας τας λιθινας γεγραμμενας εν τω δακτυλω του θεου και επ αυταις εγεγραπτο παντες οι λογοι ους ελαλησεν κυριος προς υμας εν τω ορει ημερα εκκλησιας

It came to pass at the end of forty days and forty nights that Yahweh gave me the two stone tablets, even the tablets of the covenant.

And it came to pass at the end H7093 of forty H705 days H3117 and forty H705 nights, H3915 [that] the Lord H3068 gave H5414 (QalPerf) me the two H8147 tables H3871 of stone, H68 [even] the tables H3871 of the covenant. H1285

και εγενετο δια τεσσαρακοντα ημερων και τεσσαρακοντα νυκτων εδωκεν κυριος εμοι τας δυο πλακας τας λιθινας πλακας διαθηκης

So I turned and came down from the mountain, and the mountain was burning with fire. The two tablets of the covenant were in my two hands.

και επιστρεψας κατεβην εκ του ορους και το ορος εκαιετο πυρι και αι δυο πλακες επι ταις δυσι χερσιν μου

I took hold of the two tablets, and threw them out of my two hands, and broke them before your eyes.

And I took H8610 (QalImpf) the two H8147 tables, H3871 and cast H7993 (HiphImpf) them out of H5921 my two H8147 hands, H3027 and brake H7665 (PielImpf) them before your eyes. H5869

και επιλαβομενος των δυο πλακων ερριψα αυτας απο των δυο χειρων μου και συνετριψα εναντιον υμων

At that time Yahweh said to me, “Cut two stone tablets like the first, and come up to me onto the mountain, and make an ark of wood.

At that time H6256 the Lord H3068 said H559 (QalPerf) unto me, Hew H6458 (QalImpv) thee two H8147 tables H3871 of stone H68 like unto the first, H7223 and come up H5927 (QalImpv) unto me into the mount, H2022 and make H6213 (QalPerf) thee an ark H727 of wood. H6086

εν εκεινω τω καιρω ειπεν κυριος προς με λαξευσον σεαυτω δυο πλακας λιθινας ωσπερ τας πρωτας και αναβηθι προς με εις το ορος και ποιησεις σεαυτω κιβωτον ξυλινην

I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets which you broke, and you shall put them in the ark.”

And I will write H3789 (QalImpf) on the tables H3871 the words H1697 that were in the first H7223 tables H3871 which thou brakest, H7665 (PielPerf) and thou shalt put H7760 (QalPerf) them in the ark. H727

και γραψω επι τας πλακας τα ρηματα α ην εν ταις πλαξιν ταις πρωταις ας συνετριψας και εμβαλεις αυτας εις την κιβωτον

So I made an ark of acacia wood, and cut two stone tablets like the first, and went up onto the mountain, having the two tablets in my hand.

And I made H6213 (QalImpf) an ark H727 [of] shittim H7848 wood, H6086 and hewed H6458 (QalImpf) two H8147 tables H3871 of stone H68 like unto the first, H7223 and went up H5927 (QalImpf) into the mount, H2022 having the two H8147 tables H3871 in mine hand. H3027

και εποιησα κιβωτον εκ ξυλων ασηπτων και ελαξευσα τας δυο πλακας τας λιθινας ως αι πρωται και ανεβην εις το ορος και αι δυο πλακες επι ταις χερσιν μου

He wrote on the tablets, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which Yahweh spoke to you on the mountain out of the middle of the fire in the day of the assembly; and Yahweh gave them to me.

And he wrote H3789 (QalImpf) on the tables, H3871 according to the first H7223 writing, H4385 the ten H6235 commandments, H1697 which the Lord H3068 spake H1696 (PielPerf) unto you in the mount H2022 out of the midst H8432 of the fire H784 in the day H3117 of the assembly: H6951 and the Lord H3068 gave H5414 (QalImpf) them unto me.

και εγραψεν επι τας πλακας κατα την γραφην την πρωτην τους δεκα λογους ους ελαλησεν κυριος προς υμας εν τω ορει εκ μεσου του πυρος και εδωκεν αυτας κυριος εμοι

I turned and came down from the mountain, and put the tablets in the ark which I had made; and there they are as Yahweh commanded me.

And I turned H6437 (QalImpf) myself and came down H3381 (QalImpf) from the mount, H2022 and put H7760 (QalImpf) the tables H3871 in the ark H727 which I had made; H6213 (QalPerf) and there they be, as the Lord H3068 commanded H6680 (PielPerf) me.

και επιστρεψας κατεβην εκ του ορους και ενεβαλον τας πλακας εις την κιβωτον ην εποιησα και ησαν εκει καθα ενετειλατο μοι κυριος

On the plates of its supports and on its panels, he engraved cherubim, lions, and palm trees, each in its space, with wreaths all around.

For on the plates H3871 of the ledges H3027 thereof, and on the borders H4526 thereof, he graved H6605 (PielImpf) cherubims, H3742 lions, H738 and palm trees, H8561 according to the proportion H4626 of every one, H376 and additions H3914 round about. H5439

^[7:22] και τα συγκλεισματα αυτης χερουβιν και λεοντες και φοινικες εστωτα εχομενον εκαστον κατα προσωπον αυτου εσω και τα κυκλοθεν

There was nothing in the ark except the two stone tablets which Moses put there at Horeb, when Yahweh made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.

ουκ ην εν τη κιβωτω πλην δυο πλακες ας εθηκεν μωυσης εν χωρηβ α διεθετο κυριος μετα των υιων ισραηλ εν τω εξελθειν αυτους εκ γης αιγυπτου

Don’t let kindness and truth forsake you. Bind them around your neck. Write them on the tablet of your heart.

Let not mercy H2617 and truth H571 forsake H5800 (QalImpf) thee: bind H7194 (QalImpv) them about thy neck; H1621 write H3789 (QalImpv) them upon the table H3871 of thine heart: H3820

ελεημοσυναι και πιστεις μη εκλιπετωσαν σε αφαψαι δε αυτας επι σω τραχηλω και ευρησεις χαριν

Bind them on your fingers. Write them on the tablet of your heart.

Bind H7194 (QalImpv) them upon thy fingers, H676 write H3789 (QalImpv) them upon the table H3871 of thine heart. H3820

περιθου δε αυτους σοις δακτυλοις επιγραψον δε επι το πλατος της καρδιας σου

If she is a wall, we will build on her a turret of silver. If she is a door, we will enclose her with boards of cedar.

If she [be] a wall, H2346 we will build H1129 (QalImpf) upon her a palace H2918 of silver: H3701 and if she [be] a door, H1817 we will inclose H6696 (QalImpf) her with boards H3871 of cedar. H730

ει τειχος εστιν οικοδομησωμεν επ αυτην επαλξεις αργυρας και ει θυρα εστιν διαγραψωμεν επ αυτην σανιδα κεδρινην

Now go, write it before them on a tablet, and inscribe it in a book, that it may be for the time to come forever and ever.

Now go, H935 (QalImpv) write H3789 (QalImpv) it before them in a table, H3871 and note H2710 (QalImpv) it in a book, H5612 that it may be for the time H3117 to come H314 for H5704 ever H5703 and ever: H5769

νυν ουν καθισας γραψον επι πυξιου ταυτα και εις βιβλιον οτι εσται εις ημερας καιρων ταυτα και εως εις τον αιωνα

“The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron, and with the point of a diamond. It is engraved on the tablet of their heart, and on the horns of your altars.

The sin H2403 of Judah H3063 [is] written H3789 (QalPasPtc) with a pen H5842 of iron, H1270 [and] with the point H6856 of a diamond: H8068 [it is] graven H2790 (QalPasPtc) upon the table H3871 of their heart, H3820 and upon the horns H7161 of your altars; H4196

They have made all your planks of cypress trees from Senir. They have taken a cedar from Lebanon to make a mast for you.

They have made H1129 (QalPerf) all thy [ship] boards H3871 of fir trees H1265 of Senir: H8149 they have taken H3947 (QalPerf) cedars H730 from Lebanon H3844 to make H6213 (QalInf) masts H8650 for thee.

κεδρος εκ σανιρ ωκοδομηθη σοι ταινιαι σανιδων κυπαρισσου εκ του λιβανου ελημφθησαν του ποιησαι σοι ιστους ελατινους

Yahweh answered me, “Write the vision, and make it plain on tablets, that he who runs may read it.

And the Lord H3068 answered H6030 (QalImpf) me, and said, H559 (QalImpf) Write H3789 (QalImpv) the vision, H2377 and make [it] plain H874 (PielImpv) upon tables, H3871 that he may run H7323 (QalImpf) that readeth H7121 (QalActPtc) it.

και απεκριθη προς με κυριος και ειπεν γραψον ορασιν και σαφως επι πυξιον οπως διωκη ο αναγινωσκων αυτα
