Genesis 13 (WEBP)

[1] Abram went up out of Egypt—he, his wife, all that he had, and Lot with him—into the South.
[2] Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold.
[3] He went on his journeys from the South as far as Bethel, to the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Bethel and Ai,
[4] to the place of the altar, which he had made there at the first. There Abram called on Yahweh’s name.
[5] Lot also, who went with Abram, had flocks, herds, and tents.
[6] The land was not able to bear them, that they might live together; for their possessions were so great that they couldn’t live together.
[7] There was strife between the herdsmen of Abram’s livestock and the herdsmen of Lot’s livestock. The Canaanites and the Perizzites lived in the land at that time.
[8] Abram said to Lot, “Please, let there be no strife between you and me, and between your herdsmen and my herdsmen; for we are relatives.
[9] Isn’t the whole land before you? Please separate yourself from me. If you go to the left hand, then I will go to the right. Or if you go to the right hand, then I will go to the left.”
[10] Lot lifted up his eyes, and saw all the plain of the Jordan, that it was well-watered everywhere, before Yahweh destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, like the garden of Yahweh, like the land of Egypt, as you go to Zoar.
[11] So Lot chose the Plain of the Jordan for himself. Lot traveled east, and they separated themselves from one other.
[12] Abram lived in the land of Canaan, and Lot lived in the cities of the plain, and moved his tent as far as Sodom.
[13] Now the men of Sodom were exceedingly wicked and sinners against Yahweh.
[14] Yahweh said to Abram, after Lot was separated from him, “Now, lift up your eyes, and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward,
[15] for I will give all the land which you see to you and to your offspring forever.
[16] I will make your offspring as the dust of the earth, so that if a man can count the dust of the earth, then your offspring may also be counted.
[17] Arise, walk through the land in its length and in its width; for I will give it to you.”
[18] Abram moved his tent, and came and lived by the oaks of Mamre, which are in Hebron, and built an altar there to Yahweh.

Genesis 13 (KJVS)

[1] And Abram H87 went up H5927 (8799) out of Egypt H4714, he, and his wife H802, and all that he had, and Lot H3876 with him, into the south H5045.
[2] And Abram H87 [was] very H3966 rich H3513 (8804) in cattle H4735, in silver H3701, and in gold H2091.
[3] And he went H3212 (8799) on his journeys H4550 from the south H5045 even to Bethel H1008, unto the place H4725 where his tent H168 had been H1961 (8804) at the beginning H8462, between Bethel H1008 and Hai H5857;
[4] Unto the place H4725 of the altar H4196, which he had made H6213 (8804) there at the first H7223: and there Abram H87 called H7121 (8799) on the name H8034 of the LORD H3068.
[5] And Lot H3876 also, which went H1980 (8802) with H854 Abram H87, had flocks H6629, and herds H1241, and tents H168.
[6] And the land H776 was not able to bear H5375 (8804) them, that they might dwell H3427 (8800) together H3162: for their substance H7399 was great H7227, so that they could H3201 (8804) not dwell H3427 (8800) together H3162.
[7] And there was a strife H7379 between the herdmen H7462 (8802) of Abram’s H87 cattle H4735 and the herdmen H7462 (8802) of Lot’s H3876 cattle H4735: and the Canaanite H3669 and the Perizzite H6522 dwelled H3427 (8802) then in the land H776.
[8] And Abram H87 said H559 (8799) unto Lot H3876, Let there be H1961 (8799) no H408 strife H4808, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdmen H7462 (8802) and thy herdmen H7462 (8802); for we H582 [be] brethren H251.
[9] [Is] not the whole land H776 before thee H6440? separate thyself H6504 (8734), I pray thee, from me: if [thou wilt take] the left hand H8040, then I will go to the right H3231 (8686); or if [thou depart] to the right hand H3225, then I will go to the left H8041 (8686).
[10] And Lot H3876 lifted up H5375 (8799) his eyes H5869, and beheld H7200 (8799) all the plain H3603 of Jordan H3383, that it [was] well watered H4945 every where, before H6440 the LORD H3068 destroyed H7843 (8763) Sodom H5467 and Gomorrah H6017, [even] as the garden H1588 of the LORD H3068, like the land H776 of Egypt H4714, as thou comest H935 (8800) unto Zoar H6820.
[11] Then Lot H3876 chose H977 (8799) him all the plain H3603 of Jordan H3383; and Lot H3876 journeyed H5265 (8799) east H6924: and they separated themselves H6504 (8735) the one H376 from the other H251.
[12] Abram H87 dwelled H3427 (8804) in the land H776 of Canaan H3667, and Lot H3876 dwelled H3427 (8804) in the cities H5892 of the plain H3603, and pitched [his] tent H167 (8799) toward H5704 Sodom H5467.
[13] But the men H582 of Sodom H5467 [were] wicked H7451 and sinners H2400 before the LORD H3068 exceedingly H3966.
[14] And the LORD H3068 said H559 (8804) unto Abram H87, after H310 that Lot H3876 was separated H6504 (8736) from him, Lift up H5375 (8798) now thine eyes H5869, and look H7200 (8798) from the place H4725 where thou art northward H6828, and southward H5045, and eastward H6924, and westward H3220:
[15] For all the land H776 which thou seest H7200 (8802), to thee will I give it H5414 (8799), and to thy seed H2233 for H5704 ever H5769.
[16] And I will make H7760 (8804) thy seed H2233 as the dust H6083 of the earth H776: so that H834 if a man H376 can H3201 (8799) number H4487 (8800) the dust H6083 of the earth H776, [then] shall thy seed H2233 also be numbered H4487 (8735).
[17] Arise H6965 (8798), walk H1980 (8690) through the land H776 in the length H753 of it and in the breadth H7341 of it; for I will give H5414 (8799) it unto thee.
[18] Then Abram H87 removed [his] tent H167 (8799), and came H935 (8799) and dwelt H3427 (8799) in the plain H436 of Mamre H4471, which [is] in Hebron H2275, and built H1129 (8799) there an altar H4196 unto the LORD H3068.

Young’s Literal Translation

Genesis 13 (YLT)

[1] And Abram goeth up from Egypt (he and his wife, and all that he hath, and Lot with him) towards the south;
[2] and Abram is exceedingly wealthy in cattle, in silver, and in gold.
[3] And he goeth on his journeyings from the south, even unto Bethel, unto the place where his tent had been at the commencement, between Bethel and Hai-
[4] unto the place of the altar which he made there at the first, and there doth Abram preach in the name of Jehovah.
[5] And also to Lot, who is going with Abram, there hath been sheep and oxen and tents;
[6] and the land hath not suffered them to dwell together, for their substance hath been much, and they have not been able to dwell together;
[7] and there is a strife between those feeding Abram’s cattle and those feeding Lot’s cattle; and the Canaanite and the Perizzite are then dwelling in the land.
[8] And Abram saith unto Lot, ‘Let there not, I pray thee, be strife between me and thee, and between my shepherds and thy shepherds, for we are men-brethren.
[9] Is not all the land before thee? be parted, I pray thee, from me; if to the left, then I to the right; and if to the right, then I to the left.’
[10] And Lot lifteth up his eyes, and seeth the whole circuit of the Jordan that it is all a watered country (before Jehovah’s destroying Sodom and Gomorrah, as Jehovah’s garden, as the land of Egypt,) in thy coming toward Zoar,
[11] and Lot chooseth for himself the whole circuit of the Jordan; and Lot journeyeth from the east, and they are parted-a man from his companion;
[12] Abram hath dwelt in the land of Canaan, and Lot hath dwelt in the cities of the circuit, and tenteth unto Sodom;
[13] and the men of Sodom are evil, and sinners before Jehovah exceedingly.
[14] And Jehovah said unto Abram, after Lot’s being parted from him, ‘Lift up, I pray thee, thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art, northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward;
[15] for the whole of the land which thou are seeing, to thee I give it, and to thy seed-to the age.
[16] And I have set thy seed as dust of the earth, so that, if one is able to number the dust of the earth, even thy seed is numbered;
[17] rise, go up and down through the land, to its length, and to its breadth, for to thee I give it.’
[18] And Abram tenteth, and cometh, and dwelleth among the oaks of Mamre, which are in Hebron, and buildeth there an altar to Jehovah.
