But it shall come to pass, if you will not listen to Yahweh your God’s voice, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come on you and overtake you.

But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken H8085 (QalImpf) unto the voice H6963 of the Lord H3068 thy God, H430 to observe H8104 (QalInf) to do H6213 (QalInf) all his commandments H4687 and his statutes H2708 which I command H6680 (PielPtc) thee this day; H3117 that all these curses H7045 shall come H935 (QalPerf) upon thee, and overtake H5381 (HiphPerf) thee:

και εσται εαν μη εισακουσης της φωνης κυριου του θεου σου φυλασσειν και ποιειν πασας τας εντολας αυτου οσας εγω εντελλομαι σοι σημερον και ελευσονται επι σε πασαι αι καταραι αυται και καταλημψονται σε

All these curses will come on you, and will pursue you and overtake you, until you are destroyed, because you didn’t listen to Yahweh your God’s voice, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded you.

Moreover all these curses H7045 shall come H935 (QalPerf) upon thee, and shall pursue H7291 (QalPerf) thee, and overtake H5381 (HiphPerf) thee, till thou be destroyed; H8045 (NiphInf) because thou hearkenedst H8085 (QalPerf) not unto the voice H6963 of the Lord H3068 thy God, H430 to keep H8104 (QalInf) his commandments H4687 and his statutes H2708 which he commanded H6680 (PielPerf) thee:

και ελευσονται επι σε πασαι αι καταραι αυται και καταδιωξονται σε και καταλημψονται σε εως αν εξολεθρευση σε και εως αν απολεση σε οτι ουκ εισηκουσας της φωνης κυριου του θεου σου φυλαξαι τας εντολας αυτου και τα δικαιωματα αυτου οσα ενετειλατο σοι

if you will obey Yahweh your God’s voice, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, if you turn to Yahweh your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

εαν εισακουσης της φωνης κυριου του θεου σου φυλασσεσθαι και ποιειν πασας τας εντολας αυτου και τα δικαιωματα αυτου και τας κρισεις αυτου τας γεγραμμενας εν τω βιβλιω του νομου τουτου εαν επιστραφης επι κυριον τον θεον σου εξ ολης της καρδιας σου και εξ ολης της ψυχης σου

For I command you today to love Yahweh your God, to walk in his ways and to keep his commandments, his statutes, and his ordinances, that you may live and multiply, and that Yahweh your God may bless you in the land where you go in to possess it.

For all his ordinances were before me. As for his statutes, I didn’t depart from them.

For all his judgments H4941 were before me: And as for his statutes, H2708 I did not depart H5493 (QalImpf) from them.

οτι παντα τα κριματα αυτου κατεναντιον μου και τα δικαιωματα αυτου ουκ απεστην απ αυτων

and keep the instruction of Yahweh your God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, his commandments, his ordinances, and his testimonies, according to that which is written in the law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn yourself.

Solomon loved Yahweh, walking in the statutes of David his father, except that he sacrificed and burned incense in the high places.

“Concerning this house which you are building, if you will walk in my statutes, and execute my ordinances, and keep all my commandments to walk in them, then I will establish my word with you, which I spoke to David your father.

But if you turn away from following me, you or your children, and not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods and worship them,

But if ye shall at all H7725 (QalInf) turn H7725 (QalImpf) from following H310 me, ye or your children, H1121 and will not keep H8104 (QalImpf) my commandments H4687 and my statutes H2708 which I have set H5414 (QalPerf) before H6440 you, but go H1980 (QalPerf) and serve H5647 (QalPerf) other H312 gods, H430 and worship H7812 (HithPerf) them:

εαν δε αποστραφεντες αποστραφητε υμεις και τα τεκνα υμων απ εμου και μη φυλαξητε τας εντολας μου και τα προσταγματα μου α εδωκεν μωυσης ενωπιον υμων και πορευθητε και δουλευσητε θεοις ετεροις και προσκυνησητε αυτοις

Therefore Yahweh said to Solomon, “Because this is done by you, and you have not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded you, I will surely tear the kingdom from you, and will give it to your servant.

ανθ ων κατελιπεν με και εποιησεν τη ασταρτη βδελυγματι σιδωνιων και τω χαμως και τοις ειδωλοις μωαβ και τω βασιλει αυτων προσοχθισματι υιων αμμων και ουκ επορευθη εν ταις οδοις μου του ποιησαι το ευθες ενωπιον εμου ως δαυιδ ο πατηρ αυτου

“‘However, I will not take the whole kingdom out of his hand, but I will make him prince all the days of his life for David my servant’s sake whom I chose, who kept my commandments and my statutes,

It shall be, if you will listen to all that I command you, and will walk in my ways, and do that which is right in my eyes, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as David my servant did, that I will be with you, and will build you a sure house, as I built for David, and will give Israel to you.

and walked in the statutes of the nations whom Yahweh cast out from before the children of Israel, and of the kings of Israel, which they made.

Yet Yahweh testified to Israel and to Judah, by every prophet and every seer, saying, “Turn from your evil ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets.”

Also Judah didn’t keep the commandments of Yahweh their God, but walked in the statutes of Israel which they made.

To this day they do what they did before. They don’t fear Yahweh, and they do not follow the statutes, or the ordinances, or the law, or the commandment which Yahweh commanded the children of Jacob, whom he named Israel;

The king stood by the pillar and made a covenant before Yahweh to walk after Yahweh and to keep his commandments, his testimonies, and his statutes with all his heart and all his soul, to confirm the words of this covenant that were written in this book; and all the people agreed to the covenant.

But if you turn away and forsake my statutes and my commandments which I have set before you, and go and serve other gods and worship them,

Do you know the laws of the heavens? Can you establish its dominion over the earth?

επιστασαι δε τροπας ουρανου η τα υπ ουρανον ομοθυμαδον γινομενα

For all his ordinances were before me. I didn’t put away his statutes from me.

For all his judgments H4941 were before me, And I did not put away H5493 (HiphImpf) his statutes H2708 from me.

She has rebelled against my ordinances in doing wickedness more than the nations, and against my statutes more than the countries that are around her; for they have rejected my ordinances, and as for my statutes, they have not walked in them.’

“Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: ‘Because you are more turbulent than the nations that are around you, and have not walked in my statutes, neither have kept my ordinances, neither have followed the ordinances of the nations that are around you;

Therefore thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H136 God; H3069 Because ye multiplied H1995 (QalInf) more than the nations H1471 that are round about H5439 you, and have not walked H1980 (QalPerf) in my statutes, H2708 neither have kept H6213 (QalPerf) my judgments, H4941 neither have done H6213 (QalPerf) according to the judgments H4941 of the nations H1471 that are round about H5439 you;

δια τουτο ταδε λεγει κυριος ανθ ων η αφορμη υμων εκ των εθνων των κυκλω υμων και εν τοις νομιμοις μου ουκ επορευθητε και τα δικαιωματα μου ουκ εποιησατε αλλ ουδε κατα τα δικαιωματα των εθνων των κυκλω υμων ου πεποιηκατε

that they may walk in my statutes, and keep my ordinances, and do them. They will be my people, and I will be their God.

και τοις προσταγμασιν μου πεπορευται και τα δικαιωματα μου πεφυλακται του ποιησαι αυτα δικαιος ουτος εστιν ζωη ζησεται λεγει κυριος

who has withdrawn his hand from the poor, who hasn’t received interest or increase, has executed my ordinances, has walked in my statutes; he shall not die for the iniquity of his father. He shall surely live.

και απ αδικιας απεστρεψε την χειρα αυτου τοκον ουδε πλεονασμον ουκ ελαβεν δικαιοσυνην εποιησεν και εν τοις προσταγμασιν μου επορευθη ου τελευτησει εν αδικιαις πατρος αυτου ζωη ζησεται

“Yet you say, ‘Why doesn’t the son bear the iniquity of the father?’ When the son has done that which is lawful and right, and has kept all my statutes, and has done them, he will surely live.

και ερειτε τι οτι ουκ ελαβεν την αδικιαν ο υιος του πατρος αυτου οτι ο υιος δικαιοσυνην και ελεος εποιησεν παντα τα νομιμα μου συνετηρησεν και εποιησεν αυτα ζωη ζησεται

“But if the wicked turns from all his sins that he has committed, and keeps all my statutes, and does that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live. He shall not die.

και ο ανομος εαν αποστρεψη εκ πασων των ανομιων αυτου ων εποιησεν και φυλαξηται πασας τας εντολας μου και ποιηση δικαιοσυνην και ελεος ζωη ζησεται ου μη αποθανη

I gave them my statutes and showed them my ordinances, which if a man does, he will live in them.

Ezekiel 20:11 Heb. made them to know

και εδωκα αυτοις τα προσταγματα μου και τα δικαιωματα μου εγνωρισα αυτοις οσα ποιησει αυτα ανθρωπος και ζησεται εν αυτοις

“‘“But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness. They didn’t walk in my statutes and they rejected my ordinances, which if a man keeps, he shall live in them. They greatly profaned my Sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out my wrath on them in the wilderness, to consume them.

because they rejected my ordinances, and didn’t walk in my statutes, and profaned my Sabbaths; for their heart went after their idols.

I am Yahweh your God. Walk in my statutes, keep my ordinances, and do them.

“‘“But the children rebelled against me. They didn’t walk in my statutes, and didn’t keep my ordinances to do them, which if a man does, he shall live in them. They profaned my Sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out my wrath on them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.

και παρεπικραναν με και τα τεκνα αυτων εν τοις προσταγμασιν μου ουκ επορευθησαν και τα δικαιωματα μου ουκ εφυλαξαντο του ποιειν αυτα α ποιησει ανθρωπος και ζησεται εν αυτοις και τα σαββατα μου εβεβηλουν και ειπα του εκχεαι τον θυμον μου επ αυτους εν τη ερημω του συντελεσαι την οργην μου επ αυτους

because they had not executed my ordinances, but had rejected my statutes, and had profaned my Sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers’ idols.

if the wicked restore the pledge, give again that which he had taken by robbery, walk in the statutes of life, committing no iniquity, he will surely live. He will not die.

και ενεχυρασμα αποδω και αρπαγμα αποτειση εν προσταγμασιν ζωης διαπορευηται του μη ποιησαι αδικον ζωη ζησεται και ου μη αποθανη

“‘“My servant David will be king over them. They all will have one shepherd. They will also walk in my ordinances and observe my statutes, and do them.

If they are ashamed of all that they have done, make known to them the form of the house, its fashion, its exits, its entrances, its structure, all its ordinances, all its forms, and all its laws; and write it in their sight, that they may keep the whole form of it, and all its ordinances, and do them.

He said to me, “Son of man, the Lord Yahweh says: ‘These are the ordinances of the altar in the day when they make it, to offer burnt offerings on it, and to sprinkle blood on it.

Yahweh said to me, “Son of man, mark well, and see with your eyes, and hear with your ears all that I tell you concerning all the ordinances of Yahweh’s house and all its laws; and mark well the entrance of the house, with every exit of the sanctuary.

Ezekiel 44:5 Heb. set thine heart

και ειπεν κυριος προς με υιε ανθρωπου ταξον εις την καρδιαν σου και ιδε τοις οφθαλμοις σου και τοις ωσιν σου ακουε παντα οσα εγω λαλω μετα σου κατα παντα τα προσταγματα οικου κυριου και κατα παντα τα νομιμα αυτου και ταξεις την καρδιαν σου εις την εισοδον του οικου κατα πασας τας εξοδους αυτου εν πασι τοις αγιοις

“‘“In a controversy they shall stand to judge. They shall judge it according to my ordinances. They shall keep my laws and my statutes in all my appointed feasts. They shall make my Sabbaths holy.

You shall prepare a meal offering with it morning by morning, the sixth part of an ephah,° and the third part of a hin of oil to moisten the fine flour; a meal offering to Yahweh continually by a perpetual ordinance.

Ezekiel 46:14 1 ephah is about 22 liters or about ²⁄₃ of a bushel
