1 Chronicles 29 (WEBP)
[1] David the king said to all the assembly, “Solomon my son, whom alone God has chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great; for the palace is not for man, but for Yahweh God.
[2] Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for the things of gold, the silver for the things of silver, the bronze for the things of bronze, iron for the things of iron, and wood for the things of wood, also onyx stones, stones to be set, stones for inlaid work of various colors, all kinds of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance.
[3] In addition, because I have set my affection on the house of my God, since I have a treasure of my own of gold and silver, I give it to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house:
[4] even three thousand talents of gold,° of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents° of refined silver, with which to overlay the walls of the houses;
[5] of gold for the things of gold, and of silver for the things of silver, and for all kinds of work to be made by the hands of artisans. Who then offers willingly to consecrate himself today to Yahweh?”
[6] Then the princes of the fathers’ households, and the princes of the tribes of Israel, and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the rulers over the king’s work, offered willingly;
[7] and they gave for the service of God’s house of gold five thousand talents° and ten thousand darics,° of silver ten thousand talents, of bronze eighteen thousand talents, and of iron one hundred thousand talents.
[8] People with whom precious stones were found gave them to the treasure of Yahweh’s house, under the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.
[9] Then the people rejoiced, because they offered willingly, because with a perfect heart they offered willingly to Yahweh; and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.
[10] Therefore David blessed Yahweh before all the assembly; and David said, “You are blessed, Yahweh, the God of Israel our father, forever and ever.
[11] Yours, Yahweh, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty! For all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, Yahweh, and you are exalted as head above all.
[12] Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all! In your hand is power and might! It is in your hand to make great, and to give strength to all!
[13] Now therefore, our God, we thank you and praise your glorious name.
[14] But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly as this? For all things come from you, and we have given you of your own.
[15] For we are strangers before you and foreigners, as all our fathers were. Our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is no remaining.
[16] Yahweh our God, all this store that we have prepared to build you a house for your holy name comes from your hand, and is all your own.
[17] I know also, my God, that you try the heart and have pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things. Now I have seen with joy your people, who are present here, offer willingly to you.
[18] Yahweh, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this desire forever in the thoughts of the heart of your people, and prepare their heart for you;
[19] and give to Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep your commandments, your testimonies, and your statutes, and to do all these things, and to build the palace, for which I have made provision.”
[20] Then David said to all the assembly, “Now bless Yahweh your God!” All the assembly blessed Yahweh, the God of their fathers, and bowed down their heads and prostrated themselves before Yahweh and the king.
[21] They sacrificed sacrifices to Yahweh and offered burnt offerings to Yahweh on the next day after that day, even one thousand bulls, one thousand rams, and one thousand lambs, with their drink offerings and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel,
[22] and ate and drank before Yahweh on that day with great gladness. They made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and anointed him before Yahweh to be prince, and Zadok to be priest.
[23] Then Solomon sat on the throne of Yahweh as king instead of David his father, and prospered; and all Israel obeyed him.
[24] All the princes, the mighty men, and also all of the sons of King David submitted themselves to Solomon the king.
[25] Yahweh magnified Solomon exceedingly in the sight of all Israel, and gave to him such royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel.
[26] Now David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel.
[27] The time that he reigned over Israel was forty years; he reigned seven years in Hebron, and he reigned thirty-three years in Jerusalem.
[28] He died at a good old age, full of days, riches, and honor; and Solomon his son reigned in his place.
[29] Now the acts of David the king, first and last, behold, they are written in the history of Samuel the seer, and in the history of Nathan the prophet, and in the history of Gad the seer,
[30] with all his reign and his might, and the events that involved him, Israel, and all the kingdoms of the lands.

1 Chronicles 29 (KJVS)
[1] Furthermore David H1732 the king H4428 said H559 (8799) unto all the congregation H6951, Solomon H8010 my son H1121, whom alone H259 God H430 hath chosen H977 (8804), [is yet] young H5288 and tender H7390, and the work H4399 [is] great H1419: for the palace H1002 [is] not for man H120, but for the LORD H3068 God H430.
[2] Now I have prepared H3559 (8689) with all my might H3581 for the house H1004 of my God H430 the gold H2091 for [things to be made] of gold H2091, and the silver H3701 for [things] of silver H3701, and the brass H5178 for [things] of brass H5178, the iron H1270 for [things] of iron H1270, and wood H6086 for [things] of wood H6086; onyx H7718 stones H68, and [stones] to be set H4394, glistering H6320 stones H68, and of divers colours H7553, and all manner of precious H3368 stones H68, and marble H7893 stones H68 in abundance H7230.
[3] Moreover, because I have set my affection H7521 (8800) to the house H1004 of my God H430, I have H3426 of mine own proper good H5459, of gold H2091 and silver H3701, [which] I have given H5414 (8804) to the house H1004 of my God H430, over and above H4605 all that I have prepared H3559 (8689) for the holy H6944 house H1004,
[4] [Even] three H7969 thousand H505 talents H3603 of gold H2091, of the gold H2091 of Ophir H211, and seven H7651 thousand H505 talents H3603 of refined H2212 (8794) silver H3701, to overlay H2902 (8800) the walls H7023 of the houses H1004 [withal]:
[5] The gold H2091 for [things] of gold H2091, and the silver H3701 for [things] of silver H3701, and for all manner of work H4399 [to be made] by the hands H3027 of artificers H2796. And who [then] is willing H5068 (8693) to consecrate H4390 (8763) his service H3027 this day H3117 unto the LORD H3068?
[6] Then the chief H8269 of the fathers H1 and princes H8269 of the tribes H7626 of Israel H3478, and the captains H8269 of thousands H505 and of hundreds H3967, with the rulers H8269 of the king’s H4428 work H4399, offered willingly H5068 (8691),
[7] And gave H5414 (8799) for the service H5656 of the house H1004 of God H430 of gold H2091 five H2568 thousand H505 talents H3603 and ten thousand H7239 drams H150, and of silver H3701 ten H6235 thousand H505 talents H3603, and of brass H5178 eighteen H8083 H7239 thousand H505 talents H3603, and one hundred H3967 thousand H505 talents H3603 of iron H1270.
[8] And they with whom [precious] stones H68 were found H4672 (8737) gave H5414 (8804) [them] to the treasure H214 of the house H1004 of the LORD H3068, by the hand H3027 of Jehiel H3171 the Gershonite H1649.
[9] Then the people H5971 rejoiced H8055 (8799), for that they offered willingly H5068 (8692), because with perfect H8003 heart H3820 they offered willingly H5068 (8694) to the LORD H3068: and David H1732 the king H4428 also rejoiced H8055 (8804) with great H1419 joy H8057.
[10] Wherefore David H1732 blessed H1288 (8762) the LORD H3068 before H5869 all the congregation H6951: and David H1732 said H559 (8799), Blessed H1288 (8803) [be] thou, LORD H3068 God H430 of Israel H3478 our father H1, for H5704 ever H5769 and ever H5769.
[11] Thine, O LORD H3068, [is] the greatness H1420, and the power H1369, and the glory H8597, and the victory H5331, and the majesty H1935: for all [that is] in the heaven H8064 and in the earth H776 [is thine]; thine [is] the kingdom H4467, O LORD H3068, and thou art exalted H4984 (8693) as head H7218 above all.
[12] Both riches H6239 and honour H3519 [come] of thee H6440, and thou reignest H4910 (8802) over all; and in thine hand H3027 [is] power H3581 and might H1369; and in thine hand H3027 [it is] to make great H1431 (8763), and to give strength H2388 (8763) unto all.
[13] Now therefore, our God H430, we thank H3034 (8688) thee, and praise H1984 (8764) thy glorious H8597 name H8034.
[14] But who [am] I, and what [is] my people H5971, that we should be H6113 (8799) able H3581 to offer so willingly H5068 (8692) after this sort? for all things [come] of thee, and of thine own H3027 have we given H5414 (8804) thee.
[15] For we [are] strangers H1616 before H6440 thee, and sojourners H8453, as [were] all our fathers H1: our days H3117 on the earth H776 [are] as a shadow H6738, and [there is] none abiding H4723.
[16] O LORD H3068 our God H430, all this store H1995 that we have prepared H3559 (8689) to build H1129 (8800) thee an house H1004 for thine holy H6944 name H8034 [cometh] of thine hand H3027, and [is] all thine own.
[17] I know H3045 (8804) also, my God H430, that thou triest H974 (8802) the heart H3824, and hast pleasure H7521 (8799) in uprightness H3476. As for me, in the uprightness H4339 of mine heart H3824 I have willingly offered H5068 (8694) all these things: and now have I seen H7200 (8804) with joy H8057 thy people H5971, which are present H4672 (8738) here, to offer willingly H5068 (8692) unto thee.
[18] O LORD H3068 God H430 of Abraham H85, Isaac H3327, and of Israel H3478, our fathers H1, keep H8104 (8798) this for ever H5769 in the imagination H3336 of the thoughts H4284 of the heart H3824 of thy people H5971, and prepare H3559 (8685) their heart H3824 unto thee:
[19] And give H5414 (8798) unto Solomon H8010 my son H1121 a perfect H8003 heart H3824, to keep H8104 (8800) thy commandments H4687, thy testimonies H5715, and thy statutes H2706, and to do H6213 (8800) all [these things], and to build H1129 (8800) the palace H1002, [for] the which I have made provision H3559 (8689).
[20] And David H1732 said H559 (8799) to all the congregation H6951, Now bless H1288 (8761) the LORD H3068 your God H430. And all the congregation H6951 blessed H1288 (8762) the LORD H3068 God H430 of their fathers H1, and bowed down their heads H6915 (8799), and worshipped H7812 (8691) the LORD H3068, and the king H4428.
[21] And they sacrificed H2076 (8799) sacrifices H2077 unto the LORD H3068, and offered H5927 (8686) burnt offerings H5930 unto the LORD H3068, on the morrow H4283 after that day H3117, [even] a thousand H505 bullocks H6499, a thousand H505 rams H352, [and] a thousand H505 lambs H3532, with their drink offerings H5262, and sacrifices H2077 in abundance H7230 for all Israel H3478:
[22] And did eat H398 (8799) and drink H8354 (8799) before H6440 the LORD H3068 on that day H3117 with great H1419 gladness H8057. And they made Solomon H8010 the son H1121 of David H1732 king H4427 (8686) the second time H8145, and anointed H4886 (8799) [him] unto the LORD H3068 [to be] the chief governor H5057, and Zadok H6659 [to be] priest H3548.
[23] Then Solomon H8010 sat on H3427 (8799) the throne H3678 of the LORD H3068 as king H4428 instead of David H1732 his father H1, and prospered H6743 (8686); and all Israel H3478 obeyed H8085 (8799) him.
[24] And all the princes H8269, and the mighty men H1368, and all the sons H1121 likewise of king H4428 David H1732, submitted themselves H5414 (8804) H3027 H8478 unto Solomon H8010 the king H4428.
[25] And the LORD H3068 magnified H1431 (8762) Solomon H8010 exceedingly H4605 in the sight H5869 of all Israel H3478, and bestowed H5414 (8799) upon him [such] royal H4438 majesty H1935 as had not been on any king H4428 before H6440 him in Israel H3478.
[26] Thus David H1732 the son H1121 of Jesse H3448 reigned H4427 (8804) over all Israel H3478.
[27] And the time H3117 that he reigned H4427 (8804) over Israel H3478 [was] forty H705 years H8141; seven H7651 years H8141 reigned H4427 (8804) he in Hebron H2275, and thirty H7970 and three H7969 [years] reigned H4427 (8804) he in Jerusalem H3389.
[28] And he died H4191 (8799) in a good H2896 old age H7872, full H7649 of days H3117, riches H6239, and honour H3519: and Solomon H8010 his son H1121 reigned H4427 (8799) in his stead.
[29] Now the acts H1697 of David H1732 the king H4428, first H7223 and last H314, behold, they [are] written H3789 (8803) in the book H1697 of Samuel H8050 the seer H7200 (8802), and in the book H1697 of Nathan H5416 the prophet H5030, and in the book H1697 of Gad H1410 the seer H2374,
[30] With all his reign H4438 and his might H1369, and the times H6256 that went over H5674 (8804) him, and over Israel H3478, and over all the kingdoms H4467 of the countries H776.
Young’s Literal Translation
1 Chronicles 29 (YLT)
[1] And David the king saith to all the assembly, ‘Solomon my son-the one on whom God hath fixed-is young and tender, and the work is great, for not for man is the palace, but for Jehovah God;
[2] and with all my power I have prepared for the house of my God, the gold for things of gold, and the silver for those of silver, and the brass for those of brass, the iron for those of iron, and the wood for those of wood, shoham stones, and settings, and stones of painting and of diverse colours, and all kinds of precious stone, and stones of white marble, in abundance.
[3] ‘And again, because of my delighting in the house of my God, the substance I have-a peculiar treasure of gold and silver-I have given for the house of my God, even over and above all I have prepared for the house of the sanctuary:
[4] three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses,
[5] even gold for things of gold, and silver for those of silver, and for all the work by the hand of artificers; and who is he that is offering willingly to consecrate his hand to-day to Jehovah?’
[6] And the heads of the fathers, and the heads of the tribes of Israel, and the heads of the thousands, and of the hundreds, even to the heads of the work of the king, offer willingly.
[7] And they give for the service of the house of God, of gold-talents five thousand, and drams a myriad; and of silver-talents ten thousand, and of brass-a myriad and eight thousand talents; and of iron-a hundred thousand talents;
[8] and he with whom stones are found hath given to the treasury of the house of Jehovah, by the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.
[9] And the people rejoice because of their offering willingly, for with a perfect heart they have offered willingly to Jehovah; and also David the king hath rejoiced-great joy.
[10] And David blesseth Jehovah before the eyes of all the assembly, and David saith, ‘Blessed art Thou, Jehovah, God of Israel our father, from age even unto age.
[11] To Thee, O Jehovah, is the greatness, and the might, and the beauty, and the victory, and the honour, because of all in the heavens and in the earth; to Thee, O Jehovah, is the kingdom, and he who is lifting up himself over all for head;
[12] and the riches, and the honour are from before Thee, and Thou art ruling over all, and in Thy hand is power and might, and in Thy hand, to make great, and to give strength to all.
[13] ‘And now, our God, we are giving thanks to Thee, and giving praise to Thy beauteous name;
[14] yea, because, who am I, and who are my people, that we retain power to offer thus willingly? but of Thee is the whole, and out of Thy hand we have given to Thee;
[15] for sojourners we are before Thee, and settlers, like all our fathers; as a shadow are our days on the land, and there is none abiding.
[16] ‘O Jehovah our God, all this store that we have prepared to build to Thee a house, for Thy holy name, is out of Thy hand, and of Thee is the whole.
[17] ‘And I have known, my God, that Thou art trying the heart, and uprightness dost desire; I, in the uprightness of my heart, have willingly offered all these: and now, Thy people who are found here I have seen with joy to offer willingly to Thee.
[18] ‘O Jehovah, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, our fathers, keep this to the age for the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of Thy people, and prepare their heart unto Thee;
[19] and to Solomon my son give a perfect heart, to keep Thy commands, Thy testimonies, and Thy statutes, and to do the whole, even to build the palace for which I have prepared.’
[20] And David saith to all the assembly, ‘Bless, I pray you, Jehovah your God;’ and all the assembly bless Jehovah, God of their fathers, and bow and do obeisance to Jehovah, and to the king.
[21] And they sacrifice to Jehovah sacrifices, and cause to ascend burnt-offerings to Jehovah on the morrow of that day, bullocks a thousand, rams a thousand, lambs a thousand, and their oblations, even sacrifices in abundance, for all Israel.
[22] And they eat and drink before Jehovah on that day with great joy, and cause Solomon son of David to reign a second time, and anoint him before Jehovah for leader, and Zadok for priest.
[23] And Solomon sitteth on the throne of Jehovah for king instead of David his father, and prospereth, and all Israel hearken unto him,
[24] and all the heads, and the mighty men, and also all the sons of king David have given a hand under Solomon the king;
[25] and Jehovah maketh Solomon exceedingly great before the eyes of all Israel, and putteth upon him the honour of the kingdom that hath not been on any king over Israel before him.
[26] And David son of Jesse hath reigned over all Israel,
[27] and the days that he hath reigned over Israel are forty years; in Hebron he reigned seven years, and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and three;
[28] and he dieth in a good old age, satisfied with days, riches, and honour, and reign doth Solomon his son in his stead.
[29] And the matters of David the king, the first and the last, lo, they are written beside the matters of Samuel the seer, and beside the matters of Nathan the prophet, and beside the matters of Gad the seer,
[30] with all his reign, and his might, and the times that went over him, and over Israel, and over all kingdoms of the lands.
