Moses and the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, “Keep all the commandment which I command you today.

You shall therefore obey Yahweh your God’s voice, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command you today.”

και εισακουση της φωνης κυριου του θεου σου και ποιησεις πασας τας εντολας αυτου και τα δικαιωματα αυτου οσα εγω εντελλομαι σοι σημερον

It shall happen, if you shall listen diligently to Yahweh your God’s voice, to observe to do all his commandments which I command you today, that Yahweh your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.

And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken H8085 (QalImpf) diligently H8085 (QalInf) unto the voice H6963 of the Lord H3068 thy God, H430 to observe H8104 (QalInf) and to do H6213 (QalInf) all his commandments H4687 which I command H6680 (PielPtc) thee this day, H3117 that the Lord H3068 thy God H430 will set H5414 (QalPerf) thee on high H5945 above all nations H1471 of the earth: H776

και εσται ως αν διαβητε τον ιορδανην εις την γην ην κυριος ο θεος υμων διδωσιν υμιν εαν ακοη εισακουσητε της φωνης κυριου του θεου υμων φυλασσειν και ποιειν πασας τας εντολας αυτου ας εγω εντελλομαι σοι σημερον και δωσει σε κυριος ο θεος σου υπερανω παντων των εθνων της γης

Yahweh will establish you for a holy people to himself, as he has sworn to you, if you shall keep the commandments of Yahweh your God, and walk in his ways.

The Lord H3068 shall establish H6965 (HiphImpf) thee an holy H6918 people H5971 unto himself, as he hath sworn H7650 (NiphPerf) unto thee, if thou shalt keep H8104 (QalImpf) the commandments H4687 of the Lord H3068 thy God, H430 and walk H1980 (QalPerf) in his ways. H1870

αναστησαι σε κυριος ο θεος σου εαυτω λαον αγιον ον τροπον ωμοσεν τοις πατρασιν σου εαν εισακουσης της φωνης κυριου του θεου σου και πορευθης εν ταις οδοις αυτου

Yahweh will make you the head, and not the tail. You will be above only, and you will not be beneath, if you listen to the commandments of Yahweh your God which I command you today, to observe and to do,

And the Lord H3068 shall make H5414 (QalPerf) thee the head, H7218 and not the tail; H2180 and thou shalt be above only, H4605 and thou shalt not be beneath; H4295 if that thou hearken H8085 (QalImpf) unto the commandments H4687 of the Lord H3068 thy God, H430 which I command H6680 (PielPtc) thee this day, H3117 to observe H8104 (QalInf) and to do H6213 (QalInf) them:

καταστησαι σε κυριος ο θεος σου εις κεφαλην και μη εις ουραν και εση τοτε επανω και ουκ εση υποκατω εαν ακουσης των εντολων κυριου του θεου σου οσα εγω εντελλομαι σοι σημερον φυλασσειν και ποιειν

But it shall come to pass, if you will not listen to Yahweh your God’s voice, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come on you and overtake you.

But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken H8085 (QalImpf) unto the voice H6963 of the Lord H3068 thy God, H430 to observe H8104 (QalInf) to do H6213 (QalInf) all his commandments H4687 and his statutes H2708 which I command H6680 (PielPtc) thee this day; H3117 that all these curses H7045 shall come H935 (QalPerf) upon thee, and overtake H5381 (HiphPerf) thee:

και εσται εαν μη εισακουσης της φωνης κυριου του θεου σου φυλασσειν και ποιειν πασας τας εντολας αυτου οσας εγω εντελλομαι σοι σημερον και ελευσονται επι σε πασαι αι καταραι αυται και καταλημψονται σε

All these curses will come on you, and will pursue you and overtake you, until you are destroyed, because you didn’t listen to Yahweh your God’s voice, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded you.

Moreover all these curses H7045 shall come H935 (QalPerf) upon thee, and shall pursue H7291 (QalPerf) thee, and overtake H5381 (HiphPerf) thee, till thou be destroyed; H8045 (NiphInf) because thou hearkenedst H8085 (QalPerf) not unto the voice H6963 of the Lord H3068 thy God, H430 to keep H8104 (QalInf) his commandments H4687 and his statutes H2708 which he commanded H6680 (PielPerf) thee:

και ελευσονται επι σε πασαι αι καταραι αυται και καταδιωξονται σε και καταλημψονται σε εως αν εξολεθρευση σε και εως αν απολεση σε οτι ουκ εισηκουσας της φωνης κυριου του θεου σου φυλαξαι τας εντολας αυτου και τα δικαιωματα αυτου οσα ενετειλατο σοι

You shall return and obey Yahweh’s voice, and do all his commandments which I command you today.

And thou shalt return H7725 (QalImpf) and obey H8085 (QalPerf) the voice H6963 of the Lord, H3068 and do H6213 (QalPerf) all his commandments H4687 which I command H6680 (PielPtc) thee this day. H3117

και συ επιστραφηση και εισακουση της φωνης κυριου του θεου σου και ποιησεις τας εντολας αυτου οσας εγω εντελλομαι σοι σημερον

if you will obey Yahweh your God’s voice, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, if you turn to Yahweh your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

if thou shalt hearken H8085 (QalImpf) unto the voice H6963 of the Lord H3068 thy God, H430 to keep H8104 (QalInf) his commandments H4687 and his statutes H2708 which are written H3789 (QalPasPtc) in this book H5612 of the law, H8451 and if thou turn H7725 (QalImpf) unto the Lord H3068 thy God H430 with all thine heart, H3824 and with all thy soul. εαν εισακουσης της φωνης κυριου του θεου σου φυλασσεσθαι και ποιειν πασας τας εντολας αυτου και τα δικαιωματα αυτου και τας κρισεις αυτου τας γεγραμμενας εν τω βιβλιω του νομου τουτου εαν επιστραφης επι κυριον τον θεον σου εξ ολης της καρδιας σου και εξ ολης της ψυχης σου

For this commandment which I command you today is not too hard for you or too distant.

οτι η εντολη αυτη ην εγω εντελλομαι σοι σημερον ουχ υπερογκος εστιν ουδε μακραν απο σου

For I command you today to love Yahweh your God, to walk in his ways and to keep his commandments, his statutes, and his ordinances, that you may live and multiply, and that Yahweh your God may bless you in the land where you go in to possess it.

Yahweh will deliver them up before you, and you shall do to them according to all the commandment which I have commanded you.

And the Lord H3068 shall give them up H5414 (QalPerf) before your face, H6440 that ye may do H6213 (QalPerf) unto them according unto all the commandments H4687 which I have commanded H6680 (PielPerf) you.

You have not left your brothers these many days to this day, but have performed the duty of the commandment of Yahweh your God.

ουκ εγκαταλελοιπατε τους αδελφους υμων ταυτας τας ημερας και πλειους εως της σημερον ημερας εφυλαξασθε την εντολην κυριου του θεου υμων

Only take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of Yahweh commanded you, to love Yahweh your God, to walk in all his ways, to keep his commandments, to hold fast to him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.”

But take diligent H3966 heed H8104 (QalImpv) to do H6213 (QalInf) the commandment H4687 and the law, H8451 which Moses H4872 the servant H5650 of the Lord H3068 charged H6680 (PielPerf) you, to love H157 (QalInf) the Lord H3068 your God, H430 and to walk H3212 (QalInf) in all his ways, H1870 and to keep H8104 (QalInf) his commandments, H4687 and to cleave H1692 (QalInf) unto him, and to serve H5647 (QalInf) him with all your heart H3824 and with all your soul. αλλα φυλαξασθε ποιειν σφοδρα τας εντολας και τον νομον ον ενετειλατο ημιν ποιειν μωυσης ο παις κυριου αγαπαν κυριον τον θεον υμων πορευεσθαι πασαις ταις οδοις αυτου φυλαξασθαι τας εντολας αυτου και προσκεισθαι αυτω και λατρευειν αυτω εξ ολης της διανοιας υμων και εξ ολης της ψυχης υμων

Yet they didn’t listen to their judges; for they prostituted themselves to other gods, and bowed themselves down to them. They quickly turned away from the way in which their fathers walked, obeying Yahweh’s commandments. They didn’t do so.

And yet they would not hearken H8085 (QalPerf) unto their judges, H8199 (QalActPtc) but they went a whoring H2181 (QalPerf) after H310 other H312 gods, H430 and bowed H7812 (HithImpf) themselves unto them: they turned H5493 (QalPerf) quickly H4118 out of the way H1870 which their fathers H1 walked in, H1980 (QalPerf) obeying H8085 (QalInf) the commandments H4687 of the Lord; H3068 but they did H6213 (QalPerf) not so.

και γε των κριτων αυτων ουκ επηκουσαν οτι εξεπορνευσαν οπισω θεων ετερων και προσεκυνησαν αυτοις και παρωργισαν τον κυριον και εξεκλιναν ταχυ εκ της οδου ης επορευθησαν οι πατερες αυτων του εισακουειν εντολας κυριου ουκ εποιησαν ουτως

They were left to test Israel by them, to know whether they would listen to Yahweh’s commandments, which he commanded their fathers by Moses.

And they were to prove H5254 (PielInf) Israel H3478 by them, to know H3045 (QalInf) whether they would hearken H8085 (QalImpf) unto the commandments H4687 of the Lord, H3068 which he commanded H6680 (PielPerf) their fathers H1 by the hand H3027 of Moses. H4872

και εγενετο ωστε πειρασαι εν αυτοις τον ισραηλ γνωναι ει ακουσονται τας εντολας κυριου ας ενετειλατο τοις πατρασιν αυτων εν χειρι μωυση

Samuel said to Saul, “You have done foolishly. You have not kept the commandment of Yahweh your God, which he commanded you; for now Yahweh would have established your kingdom on Israel forever.

and keep the instruction of Yahweh your God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, his commandments, his ordinances, and his testimonies, according to that which is written in the law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn yourself.

And if thou wilt walk H3212 (QalImpf) in my ways, H1870 to keep H8104 (QalInf) my statutes H2706 and my commandments, H4687 as thy father H1 David H1732 did walk, H1980 (QalPerf) then I will lengthen H748 (HiphPerf) thy days. H3117

και εαν πορευθης εν τη οδω μου φυλασσειν τας εντολας μου και τα προσταγματα μου ως επορευθη δαυιδ ο πατηρ σου και πληθυνω τας ημερας σου

“Concerning this house which you are building, if you will walk in my statutes, and execute my ordinances, and keep all my commandments to walk in them, then I will establish my word with you, which I spoke to David your father.

that he may incline our hearts to him, to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, his statutes, and his ordinances, which he commanded our fathers.

“Let your heart therefore be perfect with Yahweh our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as it is today.”

και εστωσαν αι καρδιαι ημων τελειαι προς κυριον θεον ημων και οσιως πορευεσθαι εν τοις προσταγμασιν αυτου και φυλασσειν εντολας αυτου ως η ημερα αυτη

But if you turn away from following me, you or your children, and not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods and worship them,

εαν δε αποστραφεντες αποστραφητε υμεις και τα τεκνα υμων απ εμου και μη φυλαξητε τας εντολας μου και τα προσταγματα μου α εδωκεν μωυσης ενωπιον υμων και πορευθητε και δουλευσητε θεοις ετεροις και προσκυνησητε αυτοις

“‘However, I will not take the whole kingdom out of his hand, but I will make him prince all the days of his life for David my servant’s sake whom I chose, who kept my commandments and my statutes,

Howbeit I will not take H3947 (QalImpf) the whole kingdom H4467 out of his hand: H3027 but I will make H7896 (QalImpf) him prince H5387 all the days H3117 of his life H2416 for David H1732 my servant’s H5650 sake, whom I chose, H977 (QalPerf) because he kept H8104 (QalPerf) my commandments H4687 and my statutes: H2708

και ου μη λαβω ολην την βασιλειαν εκ χειρος αυτου διοτι αντιτασσομενος αντιταξομαι αυτω πασας τας ημερας της ζωης αυτου δια δαυιδ τον δουλον μου ον εξελεξαμην αυτον

It shall be, if you will listen to all that I command you, and will walk in my ways, and do that which is right in my eyes, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as David my servant did, that I will be with you, and will build you a sure house, as I built for David, and will give Israel to you.

And it shall be, if thou wilt hearken H8085 (QalImpf) unto all that I command H6680 (PielImpf) thee, and wilt walk H1980 (QalPerf) in my ways, H1870 and do H6213 (QalPerf) that is right H3477 in my sight, H5869 to keep H8104 (QalInf) my statutes H2708 and my commandments, H4687 as David H1732 my servant H5650 did; H6213 (QalPerf) that I will be with thee, and build H1129 (QalPerf) thee a sure H539 (NiphPtc) house, H1004 as I built H1129 (QalPerf) for David, H1732 and will give H5414 (QalPerf) Israel H3478 unto thee.

και εσται εαν φυλαξης παντα οσα αν εντειλωμαι σοι και πορευθης εν ταις οδοις μου και ποιησης το ευθες ενωπιον εμου του φυλαξασθαι τας εντολας μου και τα προσταγματα μου καθως εποιησεν δαυιδ ο δουλος μου και εσομαι μετα σου και οικοδομησω σοι οικον πιστον καθως ωκοδομησα τω δαυιδ

and he cried out to the man of God who came from Judah, saying, “Yahweh says, ‘Because you have been disobedient to Yahweh’s word, and have not kept the commandment which Yahweh your God commanded you,

and tore the kingdom away from David’s house, and gave it to you; and yet you have not been as my servant David, who kept my commandments, and who followed me with all his heart, to do that only which was right in my eyes,

He answered, “I have not troubled Israel, but you and your father’s house, in that you have forsaken Yahweh’s commandments and you have followed the Baals.

And he answered, H559 (QalImpf) I have not troubled H5916 (QalPerf) Israel; H3478 but thou, and thy father’s H1 house, H1004 in that ye have forsaken H5800 (QalInf) the commandments H4687 of the Lord, H3068 and thou hast followed H3212 (QalImpf) H310 Baalim. H1168

και ειπεν ηλιου ου διαστρεφω τον ισραηλ οτι αλλ η συ και ο οικος του πατρος σου εν τω καταλιμπανειν υμας τον κυριον θεον υμων και επορευθης οπισω των βααλιμ

Yet Yahweh testified to Israel and to Judah, by every prophet and every seer, saying, “Turn from your evil ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets.”

2 Kings 17:13 Heb. by the hand of all

και διεμαρτυρατο κυριος εν τω ισραηλ και εν τω ιουδα εν χειρι παντων των προφητων αυτου παντος ορωντος λεγων αποστραφητε απο των οδων υμων των πονηρων και φυλαξατε τας εντολας μου και τα δικαιωματα μου και παντα τον νομον ον ενετειλαμην τοις πατρασιν υμων οσα απεστειλα αυτοις εν χειρι των δουλων μου των προφητων

They abandoned all the commandments of Yahweh their God, and made molten images for themselves, even two calves, and made an Asherah, and worshiped all the army of the sky, and served Baal.

εγκατελιπον τας εντολας κυριου θεου αυτων και εποιησαν εαυτοις χωνευμα δυο δαμαλεις και εποιησαν αλση και προσεκυνησαν παση τη δυναμει του ουρανου και ελατρευσαν τω βααλ

Also Judah didn’t keep the commandments of Yahweh their God, but walked in the statutes of Israel which they made.

Also Judah H3063 kept H8104 (QalPerf) not the commandments H4687 of the Lord H3068 their God, H430 but walked H3212 (QalImpf) in the statutes H2708 of Israel H3478 which they made. H6213 (QalPerf)

και γε ιουδας ουκ εφυλαξεν τας εντολας κυριου του θεου αυτων και επορευθησαν εν τοις δικαιωμασιν ισραηλ οις εποιησαν

To this day they do what they did before. They don’t fear Yahweh, and they do not follow the statutes, or the ordinances, or the law, or the commandment which Yahweh commanded the children of Jacob, whom he named Israel;

The statutes and the ordinances, and the law and the commandment which he wrote for you, you shall observe to do forever more. You shall not fear other gods.
