Leviticus 21:17 Or, food

For whatever man he is that has a defect, he shall not draw near: a blind man, or a lame, or he who has a flat nose, or any deformity,

No man of the offspring of Aaron the priest who has a defect shall come near to offer the offerings of Yahweh made by fire. Since he has a defect, he shall not come near to offer the bread of his God.

πας ω εστιν εν αυτω μωμος εκ του σπερματος ααρων του ιερεως ουκ εγγιει του προσενεγκειν τας θυσιας τω θεω σου οτι μωμος εν αυτω τα δωρα του θεου ου προσελευσεται προσενεγκειν

He shall not come near to the veil, nor come near to the altar, because he has a defect; that he may not profane my sanctuaries, for I am Yahweh who sanctifies them.’”

παντα οσα αν εχη μωμον εν αυτω ου προσαξουσιν κυριω διοτι ου δεκτον εσται υμιν

Whoever offers a sacrifice of peace offerings to Yahweh to accomplish a vow, or for a free will offering of the herd or of the flock, it shall be perfect to be accepted. It shall have no defect.

And whosoever H376 offereth H7126 (HiphImpf) a sacrifice H2077 of peace offerings H8002 unto the Lord H3068 to accomplish H6381 (PielInf) his vow, H5088 or a freewill offering H5071 in beeves H1241 or sheep,^§ H6629 it shall be perfect H8549 to be accepted; H7522 there shall be no blemish H3971 therein.

Leviticus 22:21 Or, goats

και ανθρωπος ος αν προσενεγκη θυσιαν σωτηριου τω κυριω διαστειλας ευχην κατα αιρεσιν η εν ταις εορταις υμων εκ των βουκολιων η εκ των προβατων αμωμον εσται εις δεκτον πας μωμος ουκ εσται εν αυτω

You must not offer any of these as the bread of your God from the hand of a foreigner, because their corruption is in them. There is a defect in them. They shall not be accepted for you.’”

και εκ χειρος αλλογενους ου προσοισετε τα δωρα του θεου υμων απο παντων τουτων οτι φθαρματα εστιν εν αυτοις μωμος εν αυτοις ου δεχθησεται ταυτα υμιν

If anyone injures his neighbor, it shall be done to him as he has done:

και εαν τις δω μωμον τω πλησιον ως εποιησεν αυτω ωσαυτως αντιποιηθησεται αυτω

fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth. It shall be done to him as he has injured someone.

“This is the statute of the law which Yahweh has commanded. Tell the children of Israel to bring you a red heifer without spot, in which is no defect, and which was never yoked.

αυτη η διαστολη του νομου οσα συνεταξεν κυριος λεγων λαλησον τοις υιοις ισραηλ και λαβετωσαν προς σε δαμαλιν πυρραν αμωμον ητις ουκ εχει εν αυτη μωμον και η ουκ επεβληθη επ αυτην ζυγος

If it has any defect—is lame or blind, or has any defect whatever, you shall not sacrifice it to Yahweh your God.

εαν δε η εν αυτω μωμος χωλον η τυφλον η και πας μωμος πονηρος ου θυσεις αυτο κυριω τω θεω σου

You shall not sacrifice to Yahweh your God an ox or a sheep in which is a defect or anything evil; for that is an abomination to Yahweh your God.

Deuteronomy 17:1 Or, goat

ου θυσεις κυριω τω θεω σου μοσχον η προβατον εν ω εστιν εν αυτω μωμος παν ρημα πονηρον οτι βδελυγμα κυριω τω θεω σου εστιν

They have dealt corruptly with him. They are not his children, because of their defect. They are a perverse and crooked generation.

You are all beautiful, my love. There is no spot in you.
