^[12:29] και σαδωκ νεος δυνατος ισχυι και της πατρικης οικιας αυτου αρχοντες εικοσι δυο

Of the children of Ephraim: twenty thousand eight hundred, mighty men of valor, famous men in their fathers’ houses.

^[12:31] και απο υιων εφραιμ εικοσι χιλιαδες και οκτακοσιοι δυνατοι ισχυι ανδρες ονομαστοι κατ οικους πατριων αυτων

and said to them, “You are the heads of the fathers’ households of the Levites. Sanctify yourselves, both you and your brothers, that you may bring the ark of Yahweh, the God of Israel, up to the place that I have prepared for it.

And said H559 (QalImpf) unto them, Ye [are] the chief H7218 of the fathers H1 of the Levites: H3881 sanctify H6942 (HithImpv) yourselves, [both] ye and your brethren, H251 that ye may bring up H5927 (HiphPerf) the ark H727 of the Lord H3068 God H430 of Israel H3478 unto [the place that] I have prepared H3559 (HiphPerf) for it.

και ειπεν αυτοις υμεις αρχοντες πατριων των λευιτων αγνισθητε υμεις και οι αδελφοι υμων και ανοισετε την κιβωτον του θεου ισραηλ ου ητοιμασα αυτη

It will happen, when your days are fulfilled that you must go to be with your fathers, that I will set up your offspring after you, who will be of your sons; and I will establish his kingdom.

And it shall come to pass, when thy days H3117 be expired H4390 (QalPerf) that thou must go H3212 (QalInf) [to be] with thy fathers, H1 that I will raise up H6965 (HiphPerf) thy seed H2233 after H310 thee, which shall be of thy sons; H1121 and I will establish H3559 (HiphPerf) his kingdom. H4438

και εσται οταν πληρωθωσιν αι ημεραι σου και κοιμηθηση μετα των πατερων σου και αναστησω το σπερμα σου μετα σε ος εσται εκ της κοιλιας σου και ετοιμασω την βασιλειαν αυτου

I will be his father, and he will be my son. I will not take my loving kindness away from him, as I took it from him who was before you;

I will be his father, H1 and he shall be my son: H1121 and I will not take H5493 my mercy H2617 away H5493 (HiphImpf) from him, as I took H5493 (HiphPerf) [it] from [him] that was before H6440 thee:

εγω εσομαι αυτω εις πατερα και αυτος εσται μοι εις υιον και το ελεος μου ουκ αποστησω απ αυτου ως απεστησα απο των οντων εμπροσθεν σου

David said, “I will show kindness to Hanun the son of Nahash, because his father showed kindness to me.” So David sent messengers to comfort him concerning his father. David’s servants came into the land of the children of Ammon to Hanun to comfort him.

And David H1732 said, H559 (QalImpf) I will shew H6213 (QalImpf) kindness H2617 unto Hanun H2586 the son H1121 of Nahash, H5176 because his father H1 shewed H6213 (QalPerf) kindness H2617 to me. And David H1732 sent H7971 (QalImpf) messengers H4397 to comfort H5162 (PielInf) him concerning his father. H1 So the servants H5650 of David H1732 came H935 (QalImpf) into the land H776 of the children H1121 of Ammon H5983 to Hanun, H2586 to comfort H5162 (PielInf) him.

και ειπεν δαυιδ ποιησω ελεος μετα αναν υιου ναας ως εποιησεν ο πατηρ αυτου μετ εμου ελεος και απεστειλεν αγγελους δαυιδ του παρακαλεσαι αυτον περι του πατρος αυτου και ηλθον παιδες δαυιδ εις γην υιων αμμων του παρακαλεσαι αυτον

But the princes of the children of Ammon said to Hanun, “Do you think that David honors your father, in that he has sent comforters to you? Haven’t his servants come to you to search, to overthrow, and to spy out the land?”
