The length of the porch was twenty cubits and the width eleven cubits, even by the steps by which they went up to it. There were pillars by the posts, one on this side, and another on that side.

The side rooms were in three stories, one over another, and thirty in each story. They entered into the wall which belonged to the house for the side rooms all around, that they might be supported and not penetrate the wall of the house.

And the side-chambers are side-chamber by side-chamber, three and thirty times; and they are entering into the wall-which the house hath for the side-chambers all round about-to be taken hold of, and they are not taken hold of by the wall of the house.

Then he brought me out into the outer court, the way toward the north. Then he brought me into the room that was opposite the separate place, and which was opposite the building toward the north.

Then he brought me forth H3318 (HiphImpf) into the utter H2435 court, H2691 the way toward H1870 the north: H6828 and he brought H935 (HiphImpf) me into the chamber H3957 that [was] over against the separate place, H1508 and which [was] before the building H1146 toward the north. H6828

And he bringeth me forth unto the outer court, the way northward, and he bringeth me in unto the chamber that is over-against the separate place, and that is over-against the building at the north.

Opposite the twenty cubits which belonged to the inner court, and opposite the pavement which belonged to the outer court, was gallery against gallery in the three stories.

Over against the twenty H6242 [cubits] which [were] for the inner H6442 court, H2691 and over against the pavement H7531 which [was] for the utter H2435 court, H2691 [was] gallery H862 against H6440 gallery H862 in three H7992 [stories].

Over-against the twenty cubits that are to the inner court, and over-against the pavement that is to the outer court, is gallery over-against gallery, in the three storeys.

For the length of the rooms that were in the outer court was fifty cubits. Behold, those facing the temple were one hundred cubits.

For the length H753 of the chambers H3957 that [were] in the utter H2435 court H2691 [was] fifty H2572 cubits: H520 and, lo, before H6440 the temple H1964 [were] an hundred H3967 cubits. H520

for the length of the chambers that are to the outer court is fifty cubits, and of those on the front of the temple a hundred cubits.

The way before them was like the appearance of the rooms which were toward the north. Their length and width were the same. All their exits had the same arrangement and doors.

And the way H1870 before H6440 them [was] like the appearance H4758 of the chambers H3957 which [were] toward H1870 the north, H6828 as long as H753 they, [and] as broad as H3651 H7341 they: and all their goings out H4161 [were] both according to their fashions, H4941 and according to their doors. And the way before them is as the appearance of the chambers that are northward, according to their length so is their breadth, and all their outlets, and according to their fashions, and according to their openings.

Like the doors of the rooms that were toward the south was a door at the head of the way, even the way directly before the wall toward the east, as one enters into them.

And according to the doors H6607 of the chambers H3957 that [were] toward H1870 the south H1864 [was] a door H6607 in the head H7218 of the way, H1870 [even] the way H1870 directly H1903 before H6440 the wall H1448 toward H1870 the east, H6921 as one entereth H935 (QalInf) into them.

And according to the openings of the chambers that are southward is an opening at the head of the way, the way directly in the front of the wall eastward in entering them.

Then he said to me, “The north rooms and the south rooms, which are opposite the separate place, are the holy rooms, where the priests who are near to Yahweh shall eat the most holy things. There they shall lay the most holy things, with the meal offering, the sin offering, and the trespass offering; for the place is holy.

Then said H559 (QalImpf) he unto me, The north H6828 chambers H3957 [and] the south H1864 chambers, H3957 which [are] before H6440 the separate place, H1508 they [be] holy H6944 chambers, H3957 where the priests H3548 that approach H7138 unto the Lord H3068 shall eat H398 (QalImpf) the most H6944 holy things: H6944 there shall they lay H3240 (HiphImpf) the most H6944 holy things, H6944 and the meat offering, H4503 and the sin offering, H2403 and the trespass offering; H817 for the place H4725 [is] holy. And he saith unto me, ‘The north chambers, the south chambers, that are at the front of the separate place, they are holy chambers, where the priests (who are near to Jehovah) eat the most holy things, there they place the most holy things, and the present, and the sin-offering, and the guilt-offering, for the place is holy.

When the priests enter in, then they shall not go out of the holy place into the outer court until they lay their garments in which they minister there; for they are holy. Then they shall put on other garments, and shall approach that which is for the people.”

When the priests H3548 enter H935 (QalInf) therein, then shall they not go out H3318 (QalImpf) of the holy H6944 [place] into the utter H2435 court, H2691 but there they shall lay H3240 (HiphImpf) their garments H899 wherein they minister; H8334 (PielImpf) for they [are] holy; H6944 and shall put H3847 (QalPerf) (Qere) H3847 (QalImpf) on other H312 garments, H899 and shall approach H7126 (QalPerf) to [those things] which [are] for the people. In the priests’ going in, they come not out from the sanctuary unto the outer court, and there they place their garments with which they minister, for they are holy, and have put on other garments, and have drawn near unto that which is for the people.’

Now when he had finished measuring the inner house, he brought me out by the way of the gate which faces toward the east, and measured it all around.

And he hath finished the measurements of the inner house, and hath brought me forth the way of the gate whose front is eastward, and he hath measured it all round about.

It was like the appearance of the vision which I saw, even according to the vision that I saw when I came to destroy the city; and the visions were like the vision that I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell on my face.

And according to the appearance is the appearance that I saw, as the appearance that I saw in my coming in to destroy the city, and the appearances are as the appearance that I saw at the river Chebar, and I fall on my face.

He said to me, “Son of man, this is the place of my throne and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell among the children of Israel forever. The house of Israel will no more defile my holy name, neither they nor their kings, by their prostitution and by the dead bodies of their kings in their high places;

and He saith unto me: ‘Son of man, the place of My throne, And the place of the soles of My feet, Where I dwell in the midst of the sons of Israel to the age, Defile no more do the house of Israel My holy name, They, and their kings, by their whoredom, And by the carcases of their kings-their high places.

in their setting of their threshold by my threshold and their door post beside my door post. There was a wall between me and them; and they have defiled my holy name by their abominations which they have committed. Therefore I have consumed them in my anger.

In their putting their threshold with My threshold, And their door-post near My door-post, And the wall between Me and them, And they have defiled My holy name, By their abominations that they have done, And I consume them in Mine anger.

You shall give to the Levitical priests who are of the offspring of Zadok, who are near to me, to minister to me,’ says the Lord Yahweh, ‘a young bull for a sin offering.

And thou shalt give H5414 (QalPerf) to the priests H3548 the Levites H3881 that be of the seed H2233 of Zadok, H6659 which approach H7138 unto me, to minister H8334 (PielInf) unto me, saith H5002 (QalPasPtc) the Lord H136 God, H3069 a young H1121 H1241 bullock H6499 for a sin offering. H2403

And thou hast given unto the priests, the Levites, who are of the seed of Zadok-who are near unto Me, an affirmation of the Lord Jehovah, to serve Me-a calf from the herd, for a sin-offering.

The Lord Yahweh says, “No foreigner, uncircumcised in heart and uncircumcised in flesh, shall enter into my sanctuary, of any foreigners who are among the children of Israel.

Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H136 God; H3069 No stranger, H1121 H5236 uncircumcised H6189 in heart, H3820 nor uncircumcised H6189 in flesh, H1320 shall enter H935 (QalImpf) into my sanctuary, H4720 of any stranger that [is] among H8432 the children H1121 of Israel. H3478

‘Thus said the Lord Jehovah: No son of a stranger, uncircumcised of heart, and uncircumcised of flesh, cometh in unto My sanctuary, even any son of a stranger, who is in the midst of the sons of Israel,

“ ‘ “But the Levites who went far from me when Israel went astray, who went astray from me after their idols, they will bear their iniquity.

And the Levites H3881 that are gone away far H7368 (QalPerf) from me, when Israel H3478 went astray, H8582 (QalInf) which went astray away H8582 (QalPerf) from me after H310 their idols; H1544 they shall even bear H5375 (QalPerf) their iniquity. H5771

but-the Levites who have gone far off from me, in the wandering of Israel when they went astray from Me after their idols, and they have borne their iniquity.

Because they ministered to them before their idols, and became a stumbling block of iniquity to the house of Israel, therefore I have lifted up my hand against them,” says the Lord Yahweh, “and they will bear their iniquity.

Because they ministered H8334 (PielImpf) unto them before H6440 their idols, H1544 and caused the house H1004 of Israel H3478 to fall H4383 into iniquity; H5771 therefore have I lifted up H5375 (QalPerf) mine hand H3027 against them, saith H5002 (QalPasPtc) the Lord H136 God, H3069 and they shall bear H5375 (QalPerf) their iniquity. Because that they serve them before their idols, and have been to the house of Israel for a stumbling-block of iniquity, therefore I have lifted up my hand against them-an affirmation of the Lord Jehovah-and they have borne their iniquity.

They shall not come near to me, to execute the office of priest to me, nor to come near to any of my holy things, to the things that are most holy; but they will bear their shame and their abominations which they have committed.

And they shall not come near H5066 (QalImpf) unto me, to do the office of a priest H3547 (PielInf) unto me, nor to come near H5066 (QalInf) to any of my holy things, H6944 in the most holy H6944 [place]: but they shall bear H5375 (QalPerf) their shame, H3639 and their abominations H8441 which they have committed. And they draw not nigh unto Me to act as My priest, and to draw nigh unto any of My holy things, unto the holy of holies, and they have borne their shame and their abominations that they have done,

“ ‘ “But the Levitical priests, the sons of Zadok, who performed the duty of my sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from me, shall come near to me to minister to me. They shall stand before me to offer to me the fat and the blood,” says the Lord Yahweh.

But the priests H3548 the Levites, H3881 the sons H1121 of Zadok, H6659 that kept H8104 (QalPerf) the charge H4931 of my sanctuary H4720 when the children H1121 of Israel H3478 went astray H8582 (QalInf) from me, they shall come near H7126 (QalImpf) to me to minister H8334 (PielInf) unto me, and they shall stand H5975 (QalPerf) before H6440 me to offer H7126 (HiphInf) unto me the fat H2459 and the blood, H1818 saith H5002 (QalPasPtc) the Lord H136 God: H3069

‘And the priests, the Levites, sons of Zadok, who have kept the charge of My sanctuary in the wandering of the sons of Israel from off Me, they draw near unto Me to serve Me, and have stood before Me, to bring near to Me fat and blood-an affirmation of the Lord Jehovah:

When they go out into the outer court, even into the outer court to the people, they shall put off their garments in which they minister and lay them in the holy rooms. They shall put on other garments, that they not sanctify the people with their garments.

And in their going forth unto the outer court-unto the outer court unto the people-they strip off their garments, in which they are ministering, and have placed them in the holy chambers, and have put on other garments; and they do not sanctify the people in their own garments.

They shall not take for their wives a widow, or her who is put away; but they shall take virgins of the offspring of the house of Israel, or a widow who is the widow of a priest.

Neither shall they take H3947 (QalImpf) for their wives H802 a widow, H490 nor her that is put away: H1644 (QalPasPtc) but they shall take H3947 (QalImpf) maidens H1330 of the seed H2233 of the house H1004 of Israel, H3478 or a widow H490 that had a priest H3548 before.

And a widow and divorced woman they do not take to them for wives: but-virgins of the seed of the house of Israel, and the widow who is widow of a priest, do they take.

“ ‘ “They shall go in to no dead person to defile themselves; but for father, or for mother, or for son, or for daughter, for brother, or for sister who has had no husband, they may defile themselves.

And unto any dead man they come not for uncleanness, but for father, and for mother, and for son, and for daughter, for brother, for sister who hath not been to a man, they defile themselves.

The burnt offering that the prince shall offer to Yahweh shall be on the Sabbath day, six lambs without defect and a ram without defect;

And the burnt offering H5930 that the prince H5387 shall offer H7126 (HiphImpf) unto the Lord H3068 in the sabbath H7676 day H3117 [shall be] six H8337 lambs H3532 without blemish, H8549 and a ram H352 without blemish. H8549

‘And the burnt-offering that the prince bringeth near to Jehovah on the day of rest is six lambs, perfect ones, and a ram, a perfect one.

“ ‘ “But when the people of the land come before Yahweh in the appointed feasts, he who enters by the way of the north gate to worship shall go out by the way of the south gate; and he who enters by the way of the south gate shall go out by the way of the north gate. He shall not return by the way of the gate by which he came in, but shall go out straight before him.

And in the coming in of the people of the land before Jehovah at appointed times, he who hath come in the way of the north gate to bow himself, goeth out the way of the south gate, and he who hath come in the way of the south gate, goeth out by the way of the north gate: he doth not turn back the way of the gate by which he came in, but over-against it he goeth out.

He said to me, “This is the place where the priests shall boil the trespass offering and the sin offering, and where they shall bake the meal offering, that they not bring them out into the outer court, to sanctify the people.”

Then said H559 (QalImpf) he unto me, This [is] the place H4725 where the priests H3548 shall boil H1310 (PielImpf) the trespass offering H817 and the sin offering, H2403 where they shall bake H644 (QalImpf) the meat offering; H4503 that they bear H3318 (HiphInf) [them] not out into the utter H2435 court, H2691 to sanctify H6942 (PielInf) the people. H5971

And he saith unto me, ‘This is the place where the priests do boil the guilt-offering and the sin-offering, where they bake the present, so as not to bring it out unto the outer court, to sanctify the people.’

Then he said to me, “These are the boiling houses, where the ministers of the house shall boil the sacrifice of the people.”

Then said H559 (QalImpf) he unto me, These [are] the places H1004 of them that boil, H1310 (PielPtc) where the ministers H8334 (PielPtc) of the house H1004 shall boil H1310 (PielImpf) the sacrifice H2077 of the people. H5971

And he saith unto me, ‘These are the houses of those boiling where the ministrants of the house boil the sacrifice of the people.’

It will happen that every living creature which swarms, in every place where the rivers come, will live. Then there will be a very great multitude of fish; for these waters have come there, and the waters of the sea will be healed, and everything will live wherever the river comes.

And it hath come to pass, every living creature that teemeth, whithersoever the streams come, doth live: and there hath been great abundance of fish, for these waters have come thither, and they are healed; and every thing whither the stream cometh hath lived.

The Lord Yahweh says: “This shall be the border by which you shall divide the land for inheritance according to the twelve tribes of Israel. Joseph shall have two portions.

Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H136 God; H3069 This H1454 [shall be] the border, H1366 whereby ye shall inherit H5157 (HithImpf) the land H776 according to the twelve H8147 H6240 tribes H7626 of Israel: H3478 Joseph H3130 [shall have two] portions. H2256

‘Thus said the Lord Jehovah: This is the border whereby ye inherit the land, according to the twelve tribes of Israel; Joseph hath portions.

Hamath, Berothah, Sibraim (which is between the border of Damascus and the border of Hamath), to Hazer Hatticon, which is by the border of Hauran.

Hamath, Berothah, Sibraim, that is between the border of Damascus and the border of Hamath; Hazar-Hatticon, that is at the coast of Havran.

You shall divide it by lot for an inheritance to you and to the aliens who live among you, who will father children among you. Then they shall be to you as the native-born among the children of Israel. They shall have inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel.

And it shall come to pass, [that] ye shall divide it by lot H5307 (HiphImpf) for an inheritance H5159 unto you, and to the strangers H1616 that sojourn H1481 (QalActPtc) among H8432 you, which shall beget H3205 (HiphPerf) children H1121 among H8432 you: and they shall be unto you as born H249 in the country H249 among the children H1121 of Israel; H3478 they shall have H5307 (QalImpf) inheritance H5159 with you among H8432 the tribes H7626 of Israel. and it hath come to pass, ye separate it for an inheritance to yourselves, and to the sojourners who are sojourning in your midst, who have begotten sons in your midst, and they have been to you as native, with the sons of Israel, with you they are separated for an inheritance in the midst of the tribes of Israel.

In whatever tribe the stranger lives, there you shall give him his inheritance,” says the Lord Yahweh.

And it shall come to pass, [that] in what tribe H7626 the stranger H1616 sojourneth, H1481 (QalPerf) there shall ye give H5414 (QalImpf) [him] his inheritance, H5159 saith H5002 (QalPasPtc) the Lord H136 God. H3069

And it hath come to pass, in the tribe with which the sojourner sojourneth, there ye give his inheritance-an affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.

“By the border of Judah, from the east side to the west side, shall be the offering which you shall offer, twenty-five thousand reeds in width, and in length as one of the portions, from the east side to the west side; and the sanctuary shall be in the middle of it.

and by the border of Judah, from the east side unto the west side is the heave-offering that ye lift up, five and twenty thousand broad and long, as one of the parts, from the east side unto the west side: and the sanctuary hath been in its midst.

It shall be for the priests who are sanctified of the sons of Zadok, who have kept my instruction, who didn’t go astray when the children of Israel went astray, as the Levites went astray.

[It shall be] for the priests H3548 that are sanctified H6942 (PualPtc) of the sons H1121 of Zadok; H6659 which have kept H8104 (QalPerf) my charge, H4931 which went not astray H8582 (QalPerf) when the children H1121 of Israel H3478 went astray, H8582 (QalInf) as the Levites H3881 went astray. For the priests who are sanctified of the sons of Zadok, who have kept My charge, who erred not in the erring of the sons of Israel, as the Levites erred,

Moreover, from the possession of the Levites, and from the possession of the city, being in the middle of that which is the prince’s, between the border of Judah and the border of Benjamin, shall be for the prince.

Moreover from the possession H272 of the Levites, H3881 and from the possession H272 of the city, H5892 [being] in the midst H8432 [of that] which is the prince’s, H5387 between the border H1366 of Judah H3063 and the border H1366 of Benjamin, H1144 shall be for the prince. H5387

And from the possession of the Levites, from the possession of the city, in the midst of that which is to the prince, between the border of Judah and the border of Benjamin, there is to the prince.

“This is the land which you shall divide by lot to the tribes of Israel for inheritance, and these are their several portions, says the Lord Yahweh.

This [is] the land H776 which ye shall divide by lot H5307 (HiphImpf) unto the tribes H7626 of Israel H3478 for inheritance, H5159 and these [are] their portions, H4256 saith H5002 (QalPasPtc) the Lord H136 God. H3069

This is the land that ye separate by inheritance to the tribes of Israel, and these are their portions-an affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.

youths in whom was no defect, but well-favored, skillful in all wisdom, endowed with knowledge, understanding science, and who had the ability to stand in the king’s palace; and that he should teach them the learning and the language of the Chaldeans.

lads in whom there is no blemish, and of good appearance, and skilful in all wisdom, and possessing knowledge, and teaching thought, and who have ability to stand in the palace of the king, and to teach them the literature and language of the Chaldeans.

The prince of the eunuchs said to Daniel, “I fear my lord the king, who has appointed your food and your drink. For why should he see your faces worse looking than the youths who are of your own age? Then you would endanger my head with the king.”

H1524 then shall ye make [me] endanger H2325 (PielPerf) my head H7218 to the king. H4428

and the chief of the eunuchs saith to Daniel, ‘I am fearing my lord the king, who hath appointed your food and your drink, for why doth he see your faces sadder than those of the lads which are of your circle? then ye have made my head indebted to the king,’

Then Daniel said to the steward whom the prince of the eunuchs had appointed over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah:

And Daniel saith unto the Meltzar, whom the chief of the eunuchs hath appointed over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah,

Then let our faces be examined before you, and the face of the youths who eat of the king’s delicacies; and as you see, deal with your servants.”

Then let our countenances H4758 be looked upon H7200 (NiphImpf) before H6440 thee, and the countenance H4758 of the children H3206 that eat H398 (QalActPtc) of the portion H6598 of the king’s H4428 meat: H6598 and as thou seest, H7200 (QalImpf) deal H6213 (QalImpv) with thy servants. H5650

and our appearance is seen before thee, and the appearance of the lads who are eating the king’s portion of food, and as thou seest-deal with thy servants.’

At the end of ten days, their faces appeared fairer and they were fatter in flesh than all the youths who ate of the king’s delicacies.

And at the end H7117 of ten H6235 days H3117 their countenances H4758 appeared H7200 (NiphPerf) fairer H2896 and fatter H1277 in flesh H1320 than all the children H3206 which did eat H398 (QalActPtc) the portion H6598 of the king’s H4428 meat. H6598

and at the end of ten days their appearance hath appeared better and fatter in flesh then any of the lads who are eating the king’s portion of food.

At the end of the days which the king had appointed for bringing them in, the prince of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar.

Now at the end H7117 of the days H3117 that the king H4428 had said H559 (QalPerf) he should bring H935 (HiphInf) them in, then the prince H8269 of the eunuchs H5631 brought H935 (HiphImpf) them in before H6440 Nebuchadnezzar. H5019

And at the end of the days that the king had said to bring them in, bring them in doth the chief of the eunuchs before Nebuchadnezzar.

In every matter of wisdom and understanding concerning which the king inquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters who were in all his realm.

And in all matters H1697 of wisdom H2451 [and] understanding, H998 that the king H4428 enquired H1245 (PielPerf) of them, he found H4672 (QalImpf) them ten times H6235 better H3027 than all the magicians H2748 [and] astrologers H825 that [were] in all his realm. H4438

and in any matter of wisdom and understanding that the king hath sought of them, he findeth them ten hands above all the scribes, the enchanters, who are in all his kingdom.

I saw the vision. Now it was so, that when I saw, I was in the citadel of Susa, which is in the province of Elam. I saw in the vision, and I was by the river Ulai.

And I saw H7200 (QalImpf) in a vision; H2377 and it came to pass, when I saw, H7200 (QalInf) that I [was] at Shushan H7800 [in] the palace, H1002 which [is] in the province H4082 of Elam; H5867 and I saw H7200 (QalImpf) in a vision, H2377 and I was by the river H180 of Ulai. H195

And I see in a vision, and it cometh to pass, in my seeing, and I am in Shushan the palace that is in Elam the province, and I see in a vision, and I have been by the stream Ulai.

He came to the ram that had the two horns, which I saw standing before the river, and ran on him in the fury of his power.

And he came H935 (QalImpf) to the ram H352 that had H1167 [two] horns, H7161 which I had seen H7200 (QalPerf) standing H5975 (QalActPtc) before H6440 the river, H180 and ran H7323 (QalImpf) unto him in the fury H2534 of his power. H3581

And it cometh unto the ram possessing the two horns, that I had seen standing before the stream, and runneth unto it in the fury of its power.

He said, “Behold, I will make you know what will be in the latter time of the indignation, for it belongs to the appointed time of the end.

And he said, H559 (QalImpf) Behold, I will make thee know H3045 (HiphPtc) what shall be in the last end H319 of the indignation: H2195 for at the time appointed H4150 the end H7093 [shall be].

and saith: Lo, I-I am causing thee to know that which is in the latter end of the indignation; for, at the appointed time is the end.

The ram which you saw, that had the two horns, they are the kings of Media and Persia.

The ram H352 which thou sawest H7200 (QalPerf) having H1167 [two] horns H7161 [are] the kings H4428 of Media H4074 and Persia. H6539

‘The ram that thou hast seen possessing two horns, are the kings of Media and Persia.

“The vision of the evenings and mornings which has been told is true; but seal up the vision, for it belongs to many days to come.”

And the appearance of the evening and of the morning, that is told, is true; and thou, hide thou the vision, for it is after many days.’

In the first year of Darius, son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, who hath been made king over the kingdom of the Chaldeans,

in the first year of his reign I, Daniel, understood by the books the number of the years about which Yahweh’s^§ word came to Jeremiah the prophet for the accomplishing of the desolations of Jerusalem, even seventy years.

in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, have understood by books the number of the years, (in that a word of Jehovah hath been unto Jeremiah the prophet,) concerning the fulfilling of the wastes of Jerusalem-seventy years;

We haven’t listened to your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.

Neither have we hearkened H8085 (QalPerf) unto thy servants H5650 the prophets, H5030 which spake H1696 (PielPerf) in thy name H8034 to our kings, H4428 our princes, H8269 and our fathers, H1 and to all the people H5971 of the land. H776

and we have not hearkened unto Thy servants, the prophets, who have spoken in Thy name unto our kings, our heads, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
