Noah built an altar to Yahweh, and took of every clean animal, and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.

He said, “Now take your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you love, and go into the land of Moriah. Offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains which I will tell you of.”

και ειπεν λαβε τον υιον σου τον αγαπητον ον ηγαπησας τον ισαακ και πορευθητι εις την γην την υψηλην και ανενεγκον αυτον εκει εις ολοκαρπωσιν εφ εν των ορεων ων αν σοι ειπω

Abraham rose early in the morning, and saddled his donkey; and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son. He split the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went to the place of which God had told him.

αναστας δε αβρααμ το πρωι επεσαξεν την ονον αυτου παρελαβεν δε μεθ εαυτου δυο παιδας και ισαακ τον υιον αυτου και σχισας ξυλα εις ολοκαρπωσιν αναστας επορευθη και ηλθεν επι τον τοπον ον ειπεν αυτω ο θεος

Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac his son. He took in his hand the fire and the knife. They both went together.

ελαβεν δε αβρααμ τα ξυλα της ολοκαρπωσεως και επεθηκεν ισαακ τω υιω αυτου ελαβεν δε και το πυρ μετα χειρα και την μαχαιραν και επορευθησαν οι δυο αμα

Isaac spoke to Abraham his father, and said, “My father?” He said, “Here I am, my son.” He said, “Here is the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?”

Abraham said, “God will provide himself the lamb for a burnt offering, my son.” So they both went together.

And Abraham H85 said, H559 (QalImpf) My son, H1121 God H430 will provide H7200 (QalImpf) himself a lamb H7716 for a burnt offering: H5930 so they went H3212 (QalImpf) both of them H8147 together. H3162

Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and saw that behind him was a ram caught in the thicket by his horns. Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering instead of his son.

Moses said, “You must also give into our hand sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice to Yahweh our God.

Jethro, Moses’ father-in-law, took a burnt offering and sacrifices for God. Aaron came with all the elders of Israel, to eat bread with Moses’ father-in-law before God.

You shall make an altar of earth for me, and shall sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, your sheep and your cattle. In every place where I record my name I will come to you and I will bless you.

You shall burn the whole ram on the altar: it is a burnt offering to Yahweh; it is a pleasant aroma, an offering made by fire to Yahweh.

You shall take them from their hands, and burn them on the altar on the burnt offering, for a pleasant aroma before Yahweh: it is an offering made by fire to Yahweh.

It shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the Tent of Meeting before Yahweh, where I will meet with you, to speak there to you.

θυσιαν ενδελεχισμου εις γενεας υμων επι θυρας της σκηνης του μαρτυριου εναντι κυριου εν οις γνωσθησομαι σοι εκειθεν ωστε λαλησαι σοι

You shall offer no strange incense on it, nor burnt offering, nor meal offering; and you shall pour no drink offering on it.

“You shall set the altar of burnt offering before the door of the tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting.

You shall anoint the altar of burnt offering, with all its vessels, and sanctify the altar, and the altar will be most holy.

He shall lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him.

And he shall put H5564 (QalPerf) his hand H3027 upon the head H7218 of the burnt offering; H5930 and it shall be accepted H7521 (NiphPerf) for him to make atonement H3722 (PielInf) for him.

He shall skin the burnt offering and cut it into pieces.

but he shall wash its innards and its legs with water. The priest shall burn all of it on the altar, for a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to Yahweh.

τα δε εγκοιλια και τους ποδας πλυνουσιν υδατι και επιθησουσιν οι ιερεις τα παντα επι το θυσιαστηριον καρπωμα εστιν θυσια οσμη ευωδιας τω κυριω

“ ‘If his offering is from the flock, from the sheep or from the goats, for a burnt offering, he shall offer a male without defect.

And if his offering H7133 [be] of the flocks, H6629 [namely], of the sheep, H3775 or of the goats, H5795 for a burnt sacrifice; H5930 he shall bring H7126 (HiphImpf) it a male H2145 without blemish. H8549

και τα εγκοιλια και τους ποδας πλυνουσιν υδατι και προσοισει ο ιερευς τα παντα και επιθησει επι το θυσιαστηριον καρπωμα εστιν θυσια οσμη ευωδιας τω κυριω

“ ‘If his offering to Yahweh is a burnt offering of birds, then he shall offer his offering from turtledoves or of young pigeons.

And if the burnt sacrifice H5930 for his offering H7133 to the Lord H3068 [be] of fowls, H5775 then he shall bring H7126 (HiphPerf) his offering H7133 of turtledoves, H8449 or of young H1121 pigeons. H3123

εαν δε απο των πετεινων καρπωμα προσφερης δωρον τω κυριω και προσοισει απο των τρυγονων η απο των περιστερων το δωρον αυτου

He shall tear it by its wings, but shall not divide it apart. The priest shall burn it on the altar, on the wood that is on the fire. It is a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to Yahweh.

Aaron’s sons shall burn it on the altar on the burnt offering, which is on the wood that is on the fire: it is an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to Yahweh.

And Aaron’s H175 sons H1121 shall burn H6999 (HiphPerf) it on the altar H4196 upon the burnt sacrifice, H5930 which [is] upon the wood H6086 that [is] on the fire: H784 [it is] an offering made by fire, H801 of a sweet H5207 savour H7381 unto the Lord. H3068

The priest shall put some of the blood on the horns of the altar of sweet incense before Yahweh, which is in the Tent of Meeting; and he shall pour out the rest of the blood of the bull at the base of the altar of burnt offering, which is at the door of the Tent of Meeting.

And the priest H3548 shall put H5414 (QalPerf) [some] of the blood H1818 upon the horns H7161 of the altar H4196 of sweet H5561 incense H7004 before H6440 the Lord, H3068 which [is] in the tabernacle H168 of the congregation; H4150 and shall pour H8210 (QalImpf) all the blood H1818 of the bullock H6499 at the bottom H3247 of the altar H4196 of the burnt offering, H5930 which [is at] the door H6607 of the tabernacle H168 of the congregation. H4150

και επιθησει ο ιερευς απο του αιματος του μοσχου επι τα κερατα του θυσιαστηριου του θυμιαματος της συνθεσεως του εναντιον κυριου ο εστιν εν τη σκηνη του μαρτυριου και παν το αιμα του μοσχου εκχεει παρα την βασιν του θυσιαστηριου των ολοκαυτωματων ο εστιν παρα τας θυρας της σκηνης του μαρτυριου

as it is removed from the bull of the sacrifice of peace offerings. The priest shall burn them on the altar of burnt offering.

As it was taken off H7311 (HophImpf) from the bullock H7794 of the sacrifice H2077 of peace offerings: H8002 and the priest H3548 shall burn H6999 (HiphPerf) them upon the altar H4196 of the burnt offering. H5930

ον τροπον αφαιρειται απο του μοσχου του της θυσιας του σωτηριου και ανοισει ο ιερευς επι το θυσιαστηριον της καρπωσεως

He shall put some of the blood on the horns of the altar which is before Yahweh, that is in the Tent of Meeting; and the rest of the blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar of burnt offering, which is at the door of the Tent of Meeting.

And he shall put H5414 (QalImpf) [some] of the blood H1818 upon the horns H7161 of the altar H4196 which [is] before H6440 the Lord, H3068 that [is] in the tabernacle H168 of the congregation, H4150 and shall pour out H8210 (QalImpf) all the blood H1818 at the bottom H3247 of the altar H4196 of the burnt offering, H5930 which [is at] the door H6607 of the tabernacle H168 of the congregation. He shall lay his hand on the head of the goat, and kill it in the place where they kill the burnt offering before Yahweh. It is a sin offering.

And he shall lay H5564 (QalPerf) his hand H3027 upon the head H7218 of the goat, H8163 and kill H7819 (QalPerf) it in the place H4725 where they kill H7819 (QalImpf) the burnt offering H5930 before H6440 the Lord: H3068 it [is] a sin offering. H2403

The priest shall take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering. He shall pour out the rest of its blood at the base of the altar of burnt offering.

And the priest H3548 shall take H3947 (QalPerf) of the blood H1818 of the sin offering H2403 with his finger, H676 and put H5414 (QalPerf) [it] upon the horns H7161 of the altar H4196 of burnt offering, H5930 and shall pour out H8210 (QalImpf) his blood H1818 at the bottom H3247 of the altar H4196 of burnt offering. H5930

και επιθησει ο ιερευς απο του αιματος του της αμαρτιας τω δακτυλω επι τα κερατα του θυσιαστηριου των ολοκαυτωματων και το παν αιμα αυτου εκχεει παρα την βασιν του θυσιαστηριου των ολοκαυτωματων

He shall lay his hand on the head of the sin offering, and kill the sin offering in the place of burnt offering.

And he shall lay H5564 (QalPerf) his hand H3027 upon the head H7218 of the sin offering, H2403 and slay H7819 (QalPerf) the sin offering H2403 in the place H4725 of the burnt offering. H5930

The priest shall take some of its blood with his finger, and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering; and the rest of its blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar.

And the priest H3548 shall take H3947 (QalPerf) of the blood H1818 thereof with his finger, H676 and put H5414 (QalPerf) [it] upon the horns H7161 of the altar H4196 of burnt offering, H5930 and shall pour out H8210 (QalImpf) all the blood H1818 thereof at the bottom H3247 of the altar. H4196

και λημψεται ο ιερευς απο του αιματος αυτης τω δακτυλω και επιθησει επι τα κερατα του θυσιαστηριου των ολοκαυτωματων και παν το αιμα αυτης εκχεει παρα την βασιν του θυσιαστηριου

He shall lay his hand on the head of the sin offering, and kill it for a sin offering in the place where they kill the burnt offering.

And he shall lay H5564 (QalPerf) his hand H3027 upon the head H7218 of the sin offering, H2403 and slay H7819 (QalPerf) it for a sin offering H2403 in the place H4725 where they kill H7819 (QalImpf) the burnt offering. H5930

και επιθησει την χειρα επι την κεφαλην του της αμαρτιας και σφαξουσιν αυτο εν τοπω ου σφαζουσιν τα ολοκαυτωματα

The priest shall take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering; and all the rest of its blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar.

And the priest H3548 shall take H3947 (QalPerf) of the blood H1818 of the sin offering H2403 with his finger, H676 and put H5414 (QalPerf) [it] upon the horns H7161 of the altar H4196 of burnt offering, H5930 and shall pour out H8210 (QalImpf) all the blood H1818 thereof at the bottom H3247 of the altar: H4196

και λαβων ο ιερευς απο του αιματος του της αμαρτιας τω δακτυλω επιθησει επι τα κερατα του θυσιαστηριου της ολοκαυτωσεως και παν αυτου το αιμα εκχεει παρα την βασιν του θυσιαστηριου της ολοκαυτωσεως

“ ‘If he can’t afford a lamb, then he shall bring his trespass offering for that in which he has sinned, two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, to Yahweh; one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering.

And if he H3027 be not able H1767 to bring H5060 (HiphImpf) a lamb, H7716 then he shall bring H935 (HiphPerf) for H854 his trespass, H817 which he hath committed, H2398 (QalPerf) two H8147 turtledoves, H8449 or two H8147 young H1121 pigeons, H3123 unto the Lord; H3068 one H259 for a sin offering, H2403 and the other H259 for a burnt offering. εαν δε μη ισχυση η χειρ αυτου το ικανον εις το προβατον οισει περι της αμαρτιας αυτου ης ημαρτεν δυο τρυγονας η δυο νεοσσους περιστερων κυριω ενα περι αμαρτιας και ενα εις ολοκαυτωμα

He shall offer the second for a burnt offering, according to the ordinance; and the priest shall make atonement for him concerning his sin which he has sinned, and he shall be forgiven.

And he shall offer H6213 (QalImpf) the second H8145 [for] a burnt offering, H5930 according to the manner: H4941 and the priest H3548 shall make an atonement H3722 (PielPerf) for him for his sin H2403 which he hath sinned, H2398 (QalPerf) and it shall be forgiven H5545 (NiphPerf) him.

και το δευτερον ποιησει ολοκαυτωμα ως καθηκει και εξιλασεται ο ιερευς περι της αμαρτιας αυτου ης ημαρτεν και αφεθησεται αυτω

“Command Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the law of the burnt offering: the burnt offering shall be on the hearth on the altar all night until the morning; and the fire of the altar shall be kept burning on it.

Command H6680 (PielImpv) Aaron H175 and his sons, H1121 saying, H559 (QalInf) This [is] the law H8451 of the burnt offering: H5930 It [is] the burnt offering, H5930 because of the burning H4169 upon the altar H4196 all night H3915 unto the morning, H1242 and the fire H784 of the altar H4196 shall be burning H3344 (HophImpf) in it.

^[6:2] εντειλαι ααρων και τοις υιοις αυτου λεγων ουτος ο νομος της ολοκαυτωσεως αυτη η ολοκαυτωσις επι της καυσεως αυτης επι του θυσιαστηριου ολην την νυκτα εως το πρωι και το πυρ του θυσιαστηριου καυθησεται επ αυτου ου σβεσθησεται

The priest shall put on his linen garment, and he shall put on his linen trousers upon his body; and he shall remove the ashes from where the fire has consumed the burnt offering on the altar, and he shall put them beside the altar.

And the priest H3548 shall put H3847 (QalPerf) on his linen H906 garment, H4055 and his linen H906 breeches H4370 shall he put H3847 (QalImpf) upon his flesh, H1320 and take up H7311 (HiphPerf) the ashes H1880 which the fire H784 hath consumed H398 (QalImpf) with the burnt offering H5930 on the altar, H4196 and he shall put H7760 (QalPerf) them beside H681 the altar. H4196

^[6:3] και ενδυσεται ο ιερευς χιτωνα λινουν και περισκελες λινουν ενδυσεται περι το σωμα αυτου και αφελει την κατακαρπωσιν ην αν καταναλωση το πυρ την ολοκαυτωσιν απο του θυσιαστηριου και παραθησει αυτο εχομενον του θυσιαστηριου

The fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it, it shall not go out; and the priest shall burn wood on it every morning. He shall lay the burnt offering in order upon it, and shall burn on it the fat of the peace offerings.

And the fire H784 upon the altar H4196 shall be burning H3344 (HophImpf) in it; it shall not be put out: H3518 (QalImpf) and the priest H3548 shall burn H1197 (PielPerf) wood H6086 on it every morning, H1242 and lay the burnt offering H5930 in order H6186 (QalPerf) upon it; and he shall burn H6999 (HiphPerf) thereon the fat H2459 of the peace offerings. H8002

^[6:5] και πυρ επι το θυσιαστηριον καυθησεται απ αυτου και ου σβεσθησεται και καυσει ο ιερευς επ αυτο ξυλα το πρωι και στοιβασει επ αυτου την ολοκαυτωσιν και επιθησει επ αυτο το στεαρ του σωτηριου

“Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, ‘This is the law of the sin offering: in the place where the burnt offering is killed, the sin offering shall be killed before Yahweh. It is most holy.

Speak H1696 (PielImpv) unto Aaron H175 and to his sons, H1121 saying, H559 (QalInf) This [is] the law H8451 of the sin offering: H2403 In the place H4725 where the burnt offering H5930 is killed H7819 (NiphImpf) shall the sin offering H2403 be killed H7819 (NiphImpf) before H6440 the Lord: H3068 it [is] most H6944 holy. ^[6:18] λαλησον ααρων και τοις υιοις αυτου λεγων ουτος ο νομος της αμαρτιας εν τοπω ου σφαζουσιν το ολοκαυτωμα σφαξουσιν τα περι της αμαρτιας εναντι κυριου αγια αγιων εστιν

In the place where they kill the burnt offering, he shall kill the trespass offering; and its blood he shall sprinkle around on the altar.

In the place H4725 where they kill H7819 (QalImpf) the burnt offering H5930 shall they kill H7819 (QalImpf) the trespass offering: H817 and the blood H1818 thereof shall he sprinkle H2236 (QalImpf) round about H5439 upon the altar. H4196

εν τοπω ου σφαζουσιν το ολοκαυτωμα σφαξουσιν τον κριον της πλημμελειας εναντι κυριου και το αιμα προσχεει επι την βασιν του θυσιαστηριου κυκλω

The priest who offers any man’s burnt offering shall have for himself the skin of the burnt offering which he has offered.

And the priest H3548 that offereth H7126 (HiphPtc) any man’s H376 burnt offering, H5930 [even] the priest H3548 shall have to himself the skin H5785 of the burnt offering H5930 which he hath offered. H7126 (HiphPerf)

και ο ιερευς ο προσαγων ολοκαυτωμα ανθρωπου το δερμα της ολοκαυτωσεως ης αυτος προσφερει αυτω εσται

This is the law of the burnt offering, the meal offering, the sin offering, the trespass offering, the consecration, and the sacrifice of peace offerings

This [is] the law H8451 of the burnt offering, H5930 of the meat offering, H4503 and of the sin offering, H2403 and of the trespass offering, H817 and of the consecrations, H4394 and of the sacrifice H2077 of the peace offerings; H8002
