Exodus 20 (WEBP)
[1] God° spoke all these words, saying,
[2] “I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
[3] “You shall have no other gods before me.
[4] “You shall not make for yourselves an idol, nor any image of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
[5] you shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them, for I, Yahweh your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and on the fourth generation of those who hate me,
[6] and showing loving kindness to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.
[7] “You shall not misuse the name of Yahweh your God,§ for Yahweh will not hold him guiltless who misuses his name.
[8] “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
[9] You shall labor six days, and do all your work,
[10] but the seventh day is a Sabbath to Yahweh your God. You shall not do any work in it, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your livestock, nor your stranger who is within your gates;
[11] for in six days Yahweh made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day; therefore Yahweh blessed the Sabbath day, and made it holy.
[12] “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you.
[13] “You shall not murder.
[14] “You shall not commit adultery.
[15] “You shall not steal.
[16] “You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
[17] “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”
[18] All the people perceived the thunderings, the lightnings, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking. When the people saw it, they trembled, and stayed at a distance.
[19] They said to Moses, “Speak with us yourself, and we will listen; but don’t let God speak with us, lest we die.”
[20] Moses said to the people, “Don’t be afraid, for God has come to test you, and that his fear may be before you, that you won’t sin.”
[21] The people stayed at a distance, and Moses came near to the thick darkness where God was.
[22] Yahweh said to Moses, “This is what you shall tell the children of Israel: ‘You yourselves have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.
[23] You shall most certainly not make gods of silver or gods of gold for yourselves to be alongside me.
[24] You shall make an altar of earth for me, and shall sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, your sheep and your cattle. In every place where I record my name I will come to you and I will bless you.
[25] If you make me an altar of stone, you shall not build it of cut stones; for if you lift up your tool on it, you have polluted it.
[26] You shall not go up by steps to my altar, that your nakedness may not be exposed to it.’
Exodus 20:1 After “God”, the Hebrew has the two letters “Aleph Tav” (the first and last letters of the Hebrew alphabet), not as a word, but as a grammatical marker.
Exodus 20:7 or, You shall not take the name of Yahweh your God in vain

Exodus 20 (KJVS)
[1] And God H430 spake H1696 (8762) all these words H1697, saying H559 (8800),
[2] I [am] the LORD H3068 thy God H430, which have brought H3318 (8689) thee out of the land H776 of Egypt H4714, out of the house H1004 of bondage H5650.
[3] Thou shalt have no other H312 gods H430 before me H6440.
[4] Thou shalt not make H6213 (8799) unto thee any graven image H6459, or any likeness H8544 [of any thing] that H834 [is] in heaven H8064 above H4605, or that [is] in the earth H776 beneath, or that [is] in the water H4325 under the earth H776:
[5] Thou shalt not bow down H7812 (8691) thyself to them, nor serve H5647 (8714) them: for I the LORD H3068 thy God H430 [am] a jealous H7067 God H410, visiting H6485 (8802) the iniquity H5771 of the fathers H1 upon the children H1121 unto the third H8029 and fourth H7256 [generation] of them that hate H8130 (8802) me;
[6] And shewing H6213 (8802) mercy H2617 unto thousands H505 of them that love H157 (8802) me, and keep H8104 (8802) my commandments H4687.
[7] Thou shalt not take H5375 (8799) the name H8034 of the LORD H3068 thy God H430 in vain H7723; for the LORD H3068 will not hold him guiltless H5352 (8762) that taketh H5375 (8799) his name H8034 in vain H7723.
[8] Remember H2142 (8800) the sabbath H7676 day H3117, to keep it holy H6942 (8763).
[9] Six H8337 days H3117 shalt thou labour H5647 (8799), and do H6213 (8804) all thy work H4399:
[10] But the seventh H7637 day H3117 [is] the sabbath H7676 of the LORD H3068 thy God H430: [in it] thou shalt not do H6213 (8799) any work H4399, thou, nor thy son H1121, nor thy daughter H1323, thy manservant H5650, nor thy maidservant H519, nor thy cattle H929, nor thy stranger H1616 that [is] within thy gates H8179:
[11] For [in] six H8337 days H3117 the LORD H3068 made H6213 (8804) heaven H8064 and earth H776, the sea H3220, and all that in them [is], and rested H5117 (8799) the seventh H7637 day H3117: wherefore the LORD H3068 blessed H1288 (8765) the sabbath H7676 day H3117, and hallowed H6942 (8762) it.
[12] Honour H3513 (8761) thy father H1 and thy mother H517: that thy days H3117 may be long H748 (8686) upon the land H127 which the LORD H3068 thy God H430 giveth H5414 (8802) thee.
[13] Thou shalt not kill H7523 (8799).
[14] Thou shalt not commit adultery H5003 (8799).
[15] Thou shalt not steal H1589 (8799).
[16] Thou shalt not bear H6030 (8799) false H8267 witness H5707 against thy neighbour H7453.
[17] Thou shalt not covet H2530 (8799) thy neighbour’s H7453 house H1004, thou shalt not covet H2530 (8799) thy neighbour’s H7453 wife H802, nor his manservant H5650, nor his maidservant H519, nor his ox H7794, nor his ass H2543, nor any thing that [is] thy neighbour’s H7453.
[18] And all the people H5971 saw H7200 (8802) the thunderings H6963, and the lightnings H3940, and the noise H6963 of the trumpet H7782, and the mountain H2022 smoking H6226: and when the people H5971 saw H7200 (8799) [it], they removed H5128 (8799), and stood H5975 (8799) afar off H7350.
[19] And they said H559 (8799) unto Moses H4872, Speak H1696 (8761) thou with us, and we will hear H8085 (8799): but let not God H430 speak H1696 (8762) with us, lest we die H4191 (8799).
[20] And Moses H4872 said H559 (8799) unto the people H5971, Fear H3372 (8799) not: for God H430 is come H935 (8804) to H5668 prove H5254 (8763) you, and that his fear H3374 may be before your faces H6440, that ye sin H2398 (8799) not.
[21] And the people H5971 stood H5975 (8799) afar off H7350, and Moses H4872 drew near H5066 (8738) unto the thick darkness H6205 where God H430 [was].
[22] And the LORD H3068 said H559 (8799) unto Moses H4872, Thus thou shalt say H559 (8799) unto the children H1121 of Israel H3478, Ye have seen H7200 (8804) that I have talked H1696 (8765) with you from heaven H8064.
[23] Ye shall not make H6213 (8799) with me gods H430 of silver H3701, neither shall ye make H6213 (8799) unto you gods H430 of gold H2091.
[24] An altar H4196 of earth H127 thou shalt make H6213 (8799) unto me, and shalt sacrifice H2076 (8804) thereon thy burnt offerings H5930, and thy peace offerings H8002, thy sheep H6629, and thine oxen H1241: in all places H4725 where I record H2142 (8686) my name H8034 I will come H935 (8799) unto thee, and I will bless H1288 (8765) thee.
[25] And if thou wilt make H6213 (8799) me an altar H4196 of stone H68, thou shalt not build H1129 (8799) it of hewn stone H1496: for if thou lift up H5130 (8689) thy tool H2719 upon it, thou hast polluted H2490 (8762) it.
[26] Neither shalt thou go up H5927 (8799) by steps H4609 unto mine altar H4196, that thy nakedness H6172 be not discovered H1540 (8735) thereon.
Young’s Literal Translation
Exodus 20 (YLT)
[1] ‘And God speaketh all these words, saying,
[2] I am Jehovah thy God, who hath brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of a house of servants.
[3] ‘Thou hast no other Gods before Me.
[4] ‘Thou dost not make to thyself a graven image, or any likeness which is in the heavens above, or which is in the earth beneath, or which is in the waters under the earth.
[5] Thou dost not bow thyself to them, nor serve them: for I, Jehovah thy God, am a zealous God, charging iniquity of fathers on sons, on the third generation, and on the fourth, of those hating Me,
[6] and doing kindness to thousands, of those loving Me and keeping My commands.
[7] ‘Thou dost not take up the name of Jehovah thy God for a vain thing, for Jehovah acquitteth not him who taketh up His name for a vain thing.
[8] ‘Remember the Sabbath-day to sanctify it;
[9] six days thou dost labour, and hast done all thy work,
[10] and the seventh day is a Sabbath to Jehovah thy God; thou dost not do any work, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, thy man-servant, and thy handmaid, and thy cattle, and thy sojourner who is within thy gates,-
[11] for six days hath Jehovah made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and resteth in the seventh day; therefore hath Jehovah blessed the Sabbath-day, and doth sanctify it.
[12] ‘Honour thy father and thy mother, so that thy days are prolonged on the ground which Jehovah thy God is giving to thee.
[13] ‘Thou dost not murder.
[14] ‘Thou dost not commit adultery.
[15] ‘Thou dost not steal.
[16] ‘Thou dost not answer against thy neighbour a false testimony.
[17] ‘Thou dost not desire the house of thy neighbour, thou dost not desire the wife of thy neighbour, or his man-servant, or his handmaid, or his ox, or his ass, or anything which is thy neighbour’s.’
[18] And all the people are seeing the voices, and the flames, and the sound of the trumpet, and the mount smoking; and the people see, and move, and stand afar off,
[19] and say unto Moses, ‘Speak thou with us, and we hear, and let not God speak with us, lest we die.’
[20] And Moses saith unto the people, ‘Fear not, for to try you hath God come, and in order that His fear may be before your faces-that ye sin not.’
[21] And the people stand afar off, and Moses hath drawn nigh unto the thick darkness where God is.
[22] And Jehovah saith unto Moses, ‘Thus dost thou say unto the sons of Israel: Ye-ye have seen that from the heavens I have spoken with you;
[23] ye do not make with Me gods of silver, even gods of gold ye do not make to yourselves.
[24] ‘An altar of earth thou dost make for Me, and thou hast sacrificed on it thy burnt-offerings and thy peace-offerings, thy flock and thy herd; in every place where I cause My name to be remembered I come in unto thee, and have blessed thee.
[25] ‘And if an altar of stones thou dost make to Me, thou dost not build them of hewn work; when thy tool thou hast waved over it, then thou dost pollute it;
[26] neither dost thou go up by steps on Mine altar, that thy nakedness be not revealed upon it.
