Have mercy on me, Yahweh. See my affliction by those who hate me, and lift me up from the gates of death,

Yahweh examines the righteous, but his soul hates the wicked and him who loves violence.

He delivered me from my strong enemy, from those who hated me; for they were too mighty for me.

Your hand will find out all of your enemies. Your right hand will find out those who hate you.

I hate the assembly of evildoers, and will not sit with the wicked.

I hate those who regard lying vanities, but I trust in Yahweh.

^[30:7] εμισησας τους διαφυλασσοντας ματαιοτητας δια κενης εγω δε επι τω κυριω ηλπισα

Evil shall kill the wicked. Those who hate the righteous shall be condemned.

Evil H7451 shall slay H4191 (PoleImpf) the wicked: H7563 and they that hate H8130 (QalActPtc) the righteous H6662 shall be desolate. H816 (QalImpf)

^[33:22] θανατος αμαρτωλων πονηρος και οι μισουντες τον δικαιον πλημμελησουσιν

Don’t let those who are my enemies wrongfully rejoice over me; neither let those who hate me without a cause wink their eyes.

For he flatters himself in his own eyes, too much to detect and hate his sin.

All who hate me whisper together against me. They imagine the worst for me.

But you have saved us from our adversaries, and have shamed those who hate us.

^[43:8] εσωσας γαρ ημας εκ των θλιβοντων ημας και τους μισουντας ημας κατησχυνας

You make us turn back from the adversary. Those who hate us take plunder for themselves.

Thou makest us to turn H7725 (HiphImpf) back H268 from the enemy: H6862 and they which hate H8130 (PielPtc) us spoil H8154 (QalPerf) for themselves.

since you hate instruction, and throw my words behind you?

^[49:17] συ δε εμισησας παιδειαν και εξεβαλες τους λογους μου εις τα οπισω

For it was not an enemy who insulted me, then I could have endured it. Neither was it he who hated me who raised himself up against me, then I would have hidden myself from him.

Let God arise! Let his enemies be scattered! Let them who hate him also flee before him.

Those who hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head. Those who want to cut me off, being my enemies wrongfully, are mighty. I have to restore what I didn’t take away.

Deliver me out of the mire, and don’t let me sink. Let me be delivered from those who hate me, and out of the deep waters.

The haters of Yahweh would cringe before him, and their punishment would last forever.

^[85:17] ποιησον μετ εμου σημειον εις αγαθον και ιδετωσαν οι μισουντες με και αισχυνθητωσαν οτι συ κυριε εβοηθησας μοι και παρεκαλεσας με

I will beat down his adversaries before him, and strike those who hate him.

^[88:24] και συγκοψω τους εχθρους αυτου απο προσωπου αυτου και τους μισουντας αυτον τροπωσομαι

You who love Yahweh, hate evil! He preserves the souls of his saints. He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.

I will set no vile thing before my eyes. I hate the deeds of faithless men. They will not cling to me.

He turned their heart to hate his people, to conspire against his servants.

He gave them into the hand of the nations. Those who hated them ruled over them.

Yahweh is on my side among those who help me. Therefore I will look in triumph at those who hate me.

I hate and abhor falsehood. I love your law.

My soul has had her dwelling too long with him who hates peace.

Yahweh, don’t I hate those who hate you? Am I not grieved with those who rise up against you?

Do not I hate H8130 (QalImpf) them, O Lord, H3068 that hate H8130 (PielPtc) thee? and am not I grieved H6962 (HiplImpf) with those that rise up H8618 against thee?

I hate them with perfect hatred. They have become my enemies.

“How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? How long will mockers delight themselves in mockery, and fools hate knowledge?

οσον αν χρονον ακακοι εχωνται της δικαιοσυνης ουκ αισχυνθησονται οι δε αφρονες της υβρεως οντες επιθυμηται ασεβεις γενομενοι εμισησαν αισθησιν

because they hated knowledge, and didn’t choose the fear of Yahweh.

For that they hated H8130 (QalPerf) knowledge, H1847 and did not choose H977 (QalPerf) the fear H3374 of the Lord: H3068

εμισησαν γαρ σοφιαν τον δε φοβον του κυριου ου προειλαντο

and say, “How I have hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof.

και ερεις πως εμισησα παιδειαν και ελεγχους εξεκλινεν η καρδια μου

There are six things which Yahweh hates; yes, seven which are an abomination to him:

οτι χαιρει πασιν οις μισει ο κυριος συντριβεται δε δι ακαθαρσιαν ψυχης

The fear of Yahweh is to hate evil. I hate pride, arrogance, the evil way, and the perverse mouth.

The fear H3374 of the Lord H3068 [is] to hate H8130 (QalInf) evil: H7451 pride, H1344 and arrogancy, H1347 and the evil H7451 way, H1870 and the froward H8419 mouth, H6310 do I hate. H8130 (QalPerf)

φοβος κυριου μισει αδικιαν υβριν τε και υπερηφανιαν και οδους πονηρων μεμισηκα δε εγω διεστραμμενας οδους κακων

But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul. All those who hate me love death.”

But he that sinneth H2398 (QalActPtc) against me wrongeth H2554 (QalActPtc) his own soul: H5315 all they that hate H8130 (PielPtc) me love H157 (QalPerf) death. H4194

Don’t reprove a scoffer, lest he hate you. Reprove a wise person, and he will love you.

Reprove H3198 (HiphImpf) not a scorner, H3887 (QalPtc) lest he hate H8130 (QalImpf) thee: rebuke H3198 (HiphImpv) a wise man, H2450 and he will love H157 (QalImpf) thee.

μη ελεγχε κακους ινα μη μισωσιν σε ελεγχε σοφον και αγαπησει σε

He who is collateral for a stranger will suffer for it, but he who refuses pledges of collateral is secure.

He that is surety H6148 (QalPerf) for a stranger H2114 (QalPtc) shall smart H7321 (NiphImpf) H7451 [for it]: and he that hateth H8130 (QalActPtc) suretiship H8628 (QalActPtc) is sure. H982 (QalActPtc)
