Yahweh delivered them into the hand of Israel, and they struck them, and chased them to great Sidon, and to Misrephoth Maim, and to the valley of Mizpah eastward. They struck them until they left them no one remaining.

They struck all the souls who were in it with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying them. There was no one left who breathed. He burned Hazor with fire.

Caleb said, “He who strikes Kiriath Sepher, and takes it, to him I will give Achsah my daughter as wife.”

that the man slayer who kills any person accidentally or unintentionally may flee there. They shall be to you for a refuge from the avenger of blood.

that the slayer H7523 (QalActPtc) that killeth H5221 (HiphPtc) any person H5315 unawares H7684 and unwittingly H1847 may flee H5127 (QalInf) thither: and they shall be your refuge H4733 from the avenger H1350 (QalActPtc) of blood. H1818

φυγαδευτηριον τω φονευτη τω παταξαντι ψυχην ακουσιως και εσονται υμιν αι πολεις φυγαδευτηριον και ουκ αποθανειται ο φονευτης υπο του αγχιστευοντος το αιμα εως αν καταστη εναντιον της συναγωγης εις κρισιν

If the avenger of blood pursues him, then they shall not deliver up the man slayer into his hand; because he struck his neighbor unintentionally, and didn’t hate him before.

These were the appointed cities for all the children of Israel, and for the alien who lives among them, that whoever kills any person unintentionally might flee there, and not die by the hand of the avenger of blood, until he stands trial before the congregation.

These were the cities H5892 appointed H4152 for all the children H1121 of Israel, H3478 and for the stranger H1616 that sojourneth H1481 (QalActPtc) among H8432 them, that whosoever killeth H5221 (HiphPtc) any person H5315 at unawares H7684 might flee H5127 (QalInf) thither, and not die H4191 (QalImpf) by the hand H3027 of the avenger H1350 (QalActPtc) of blood, H1818 until he stood H5975 (QalInf) before H6440 the congregation. Judah went up, and Yahweh delivered the Canaanites and the Perizzites into their hand. They struck ten thousand men in Bezek.

Judah went against the Canaanites who lived in Hebron. (The name of Hebron before that was Kiriath Arba.) They struck Sheshai, Ahiman, and Talmai.
