Now in the twelfth month, which is the month Adar, on the thirteenth day of the month, when the king’s commandment and his decree came near to be put in execution, on the day that the enemies of the Jews hoped to conquer them, (but it turned out that the opposite happened, that the Jews conquered those who hated them),

The Jews who were in Susa gathered themselves together on the fourteenth day also of the month Adar, and killed three hundred men in Susa; but they didn’t lay their hand on the plunder.

This was done on the thirteenth day of the month Adar; and on the fourteenth day of that month they rested and made it a day of feasting and gladness.

My soul hates your New Moons and your appointed feasts. They are a burden to me. I am weary of bearing them.

You are wearied in the multitude of your counsels. Now let the astrologers, the stargazers, and the monthly prognosticators stand up and save you from the things that will happen to you.

It shall happen that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, all flesh will come to worship before me,” says Yahweh.

a wild donkey used to the wilderness, that sniffs the wind in her craving. When she is in heat, who can turn her away? All those who seek her will not weary themselves. In her month, they will find her.

επλατυνεν εφ υδατα ερημου εν επιθυμιαις ψυχης αυτης επνευματοφορειτο παρεδοθη τις επιστρεψει αυτην παντες οι ζητουντες αυτην ου κοπιασουσιν εν τη ταπεινωσει αυτης ευρησουσιν αυτην

That same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, Hananiah the son of Azzur, the prophet, who was of Gibeon, spoke to me in Yahweh’s house, in the presence of the priests and of all the people, saying,

So Hananiah the prophet died the same year in the seventh month.

Now in the fifth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, in the ninth month, all the people in Jerusalem and all the people who came from the cities of Judah to Jerusalem, proclaimed a fast before Yahweh.

In the fourth month, in the ninth day of the month, the famine was severe in the city, so that there was no bread for the people of the land.

In the thirty-seventh year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the twenty-fifth day of the month, Evilmerodach king of Babylon, in the first year of his reign, lifted up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, and released him from prison.

In the twelfth year of our captivity, in the tenth month, in the fifth day of the month, one who had escaped out of Jerusalem came to me, saying, “The city has been defeated!”

And it came to pass in the twelfth H8147 H6240 year H8141 of our captivity, H1546 in the tenth H6224 [month], in the fifth H2568 [day] of the month, H2320 [that] one that had escaped H6412 out of Jerusalem H3389 came H935 (QalPerf) unto me, saying, H559 (QalInf) The city H5892 is smitten. και εγενηθη εν τω δωδεκατω ετει εν τω δωδεκατω μηνι πεμπτη του μηνος της αιχμαλωσιας ημων ηλθεν ο ανασωθεις προς με απο ιερουσαλημ λεγων εαλω η πολις

“ ‘ “The house of Israel will be burying them for seven months, that they may cleanse the land.
