“You shall take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle and all that is in it, and shall make it holy, and all its furniture, and it will be holy.

That which is left of the meal offering shall be Aaron’s and his sons’. It is a most holy part of the offerings of Yahweh made by fire.

“If anyone commits a trespass, and sins unwittingly regarding Yahweh’s holy things, then he shall bring his trespass offering to Yahweh: a ram without defect from the flock, according to your estimation in silver by shekels, according to the shekel° of the sanctuary, for a trespass offering.

Leviticus 5:15 A shekel is about 10 grams or about 0.35 ounces.

ψυχη εαν λαθη αυτον ληθη και αμαρτη ακουσιως απο των αγιων κυριου και οισει της πλημμελειας αυτου τω κυριω κριον αμωμον εκ των προβατων τιμης αργυριου σικλων τω σικλω των αγιων περι ου επλημμελησεν

He shall make restitution for that which he has done wrong regarding the holy thing, and shall add a fifth part to it, and give it to the priest; and the priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering, and he will be forgiven.

^[6:10] ου πεφθησεται εζυμωμενη μεριδα αυτην εδωκα αυτοις απο των καρπωματων κυριου αγια αγιων ωσπερ το της αμαρτιας και ωσπερ το της πλημμελειας

You are to make a distinction between the holy and the common, and between the unclean and the clean.

και ειπεν μωυσης προς ααρων και προς ελεαζαρ και ιθαμαρ τους υιους ααρων τους καταλειφθεντας λαβετε την θυσιαν την καταλειφθεισαν απο των καρπωματων κυριου και φαγεσθε αζυμα παρα το θυσιαστηριον αγια αγιων εστιν

“Why haven’t you eaten the sin offering in the place of the sanctuary, since it is most holy, and he has given it to you to bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before Yahweh?

Wherefore have ye not eaten H398 (QalPerf) the sin offering H2403 in the holy H6944 place, H4725 seeing it [is] most H6944 holy, H6944 and [God] hath given H5414 (QalPerf) it you to bear H5375 (QalInf) the iniquity H5771 of the congregation, H5712 to make atonement H3722 (PielInf) for them before H6440 the Lord? H3068

δια τι ουκ εφαγετε το περι της αμαρτιας εν τοπω αγιω οτι γαρ αγια αγιων εστιν τουτο εδωκεν υμιν φαγειν ινα αφελητε την αμαρτιαν της συναγωγης και εξιλασησθε περι αυτων εναντι κυριου

Behold, its blood was not brought into the inner part of the sanctuary. You certainly should have eaten it in the sanctuary, as I commanded.”

Behold, H2005 the blood H1818 of it was not brought H935 (HophPerf) in within H6441 the holy H6944 [place]: ye should indeed H398 (QalInf) have eaten H398 (QalImpf) it in the holy H6944 [place], as I commanded. H6680 (PielPerf)

She shall continue in the blood of purification thirty-three days. She shall not touch any holy thing, nor come into the sanctuary, until the days of her purifying are completed.

He shall kill the male lamb in the place where they kill the sin offering and the burnt offering, in the place of the sanctuary; for as the sin offering is the priest’s, so is the trespass offering. It is most holy.

And he shall slay H7819 (QalPerf) the lamb H3532 in the place H4725 where he shall kill H7819 (QalImpf) the sin offering H2403 and the burnt offering, H5930 in the holy H6944 place: H4725 for as the sin offering H2403 [is] the priest’s, H3548 [so is] the trespass offering: H817 it [is] most H6944 holy: H6944

και σφαξουσιν τον αμνον εν τοπω ου σφαζουσιν τα ολοκαυτωματα και τα περι αμαρτιας εν τοπω αγιω εστιν γαρ το περι αμαρτιας ωσπερ το της πλημμελειας εστιν τω ιερει αγια αγιων εστιν

and Yahweh said to Moses, “Tell Aaron your brother not to come at just any time into the Most Holy Place within the veil, before the mercy seat which is on the ark; lest he die; for I will appear in the cloud on the mercy seat.

“Aaron shall come into the sanctuary with a young bull for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering.

Thus H2063 shall Aaron H175 come H935 (QalImpf) into the holy H6944 [place]: with a young H1121 H1241 bullock H6499 for a sin offering, H2403 and a ram H352 for a burnt offering. H5930

ουτως εισελευσεται ααρων εις το αγιον εν μοσχω εκ βοων περι αμαρτιας και κριον εις ολοκαυτωμα

He shall put on the holy linen tunic. He shall have the linen trousers on his body, and shall put on the linen sash, and he shall be clothed with the linen turban. They are the holy garments. He shall bathe his body in water, and put them on.

και χιτωνα λινουν ηγιασμενον ενδυσεται και περισκελες λινουν εσται επι του χρωτος αυτου και ζωνη λινη ζωσεται και κιδαριν λινην περιθησεται ιματια αγια εστιν και λουσεται υδατι παν το σωμα αυτου και ενδυσεται αυτα

He shall make atonement for the Holy Place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions, even all their sins; and so he shall do for the Tent of Meeting that dwells with them in the middle of their uncleanness.

And he shall make an atonement H3722 (PielPerf) for the holy H6944 [place], because of the uncleanness H2932 of the children H1121 of Israel, H3478 and because of their transgressions H6588 in all their sins: H2403 and so shall he do H6213 (QalImpf) for the tabernacle H168 of the congregation, H4150 that remaineth H7931 (QalActPtc) among them in the midst H8432 of their uncleanness. No one shall be in the Tent of Meeting when he enters to make atonement in the Holy Place, until he comes out, and has made atonement for himself and for his household, and for all the assembly of Israel.

And there shall be no man H120 in the tabernacle H168 of the congregation H4150 when he goeth H935 (QalInf) in to make an atonement H3722 (PielInf) in the holy H6944 [place], until he come out, H3318 (QalInf) and have made an atonement H3722 (PielPerf) for himself, and for his household, H1004 and for all the congregation H6951 of Israel. H3478

και πας ανθρωπος ουκ εσται εν τη σκηνη του μαρτυριου εισπορευομενου αυτου εξιλασασθαι εν τω αγιω εως αν εξελθη και εξιλασεται περι αυτου και του οικου αυτου και περι πασης συναγωγης υιων ισραηλ

“When he has finished atoning for the Holy Place, the Tent of Meeting, and the altar, he shall present the live goat.

And when he hath made an end H3615 (PielPerf) of reconciling H3722 (PielInf) the holy H6944 [place], and the tabernacle H168 of the congregation, H4150 and the altar, H4196 he shall bring H7126 (HiphPerf) the live H2416 goat: H8163

και συντελεσει εξιλασκομενος το αγιον και την σκηνην του μαρτυριου και το θυσιαστηριον και περι των ιερεων καθαριει και προσαξει τον χιμαρον τον ζωντα

“Aaron shall come into the Tent of Meeting, and shall take off the linen garments which he put on when he went into the Holy Place, and shall leave them there.

And Aaron H175 shall come H935 (QalPerf) into the tabernacle H168 of the congregation, H4150 and shall put off H6584 (QalPerf) the linen H906 garments, H899 which he put on H3847 (QalPerf) when he went H935 (QalInf) into the holy H6944 [place], and shall leave H3240 (HiphPerf) them there:

και εισελευσεται ααρων εις την σκηνην του μαρτυριου και εκδυσεται την στολην την λινην ην ενεδεδυκει εισπορευομενου αυτου εις το αγιον και αποθησει αυτην εκει

The bull for the sin offering, and the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the Holy Place, shall be carried outside the camp; and they shall burn their skins, their flesh, and their dung with fire.

And the bullock H6499 [for] the sin offering, H2403 and the goat H8163 [for] the sin offering, H2403 whose blood H1818 was brought in H935 (HophPerf) to make atonement H3722 (PielInf) in the holy H6944 [place], shall [one] carry forth H3318 (HiphImpf) without H2351 the camp; H4264 and they shall burn H8313 (QalPerf) in the fire H784 their skins, H5785 and their flesh, H1320 and their dung. H6569

και τον μοσχον τον περι της αμαρτιας και τον χιμαρον τον περι της αμαρτιας ων το αιμα εισηνεχθη εξιλασασθαι εν τω αγιω εξοισουσιν αυτα εξω της παρεμβολης και κατακαυσουσιν αυτα εν πυρι και τα δερματα αυτων και τα κρεα αυτων και την κοπρον αυτων

The priest, who is anointed and who is consecrated to be priest in his father’s place, shall make the atonement, and shall put on the linen garments, even the holy garments.

And the priest, H3548 whom he shall anoint, H4886 (QalImpf) and whom he shall consecrate H4390 (PielImpf) H3027 to minister in the priest’s office H3547 (PielInf) in his father’s H1 stead, shall make the atonement, H3722 (PielPerf) and shall put on H3847 (QalPerf) the linen H906 clothes, H899 [even] the holy H6944 garments: H899

εξιλασεται ο ιερευς ον αν χρισωσιν αυτον και ον αν τελειωσουσιν τας χειρας αυτου ιερατευειν μετα τον πατερα αυτου και ενδυσεται την στολην την λινην στολην αγιαν

Then he shall make atonement for the Holy Sanctuary; and he shall make atonement for the Tent of Meeting and for the altar; and he shall make atonement for the priests and for all the people of the assembly.

And he shall make an atonement H3722 (PielPerf) for the holy H6944 sanctuary, H4720 and he shall make an atonement H3722 (PielImpf) for the tabernacle H168 of the congregation, H4150 and for the altar, H4196 and he shall make an atonement H3722 (PielImpf) for the priests, H3548 and for all the people H5971 of the congregation. και εξιλασεται το αγιον του αγιου και την σκηνην του μαρτυριου και το θυσιαστηριον εξιλασεται και περι των ιερεων και περι πασης συναγωγης εξιλασεται

but everyone who eats it shall bear his iniquity, because he has profaned the holy thing of Yahweh, and that soul shall be cut off from his people.

Therefore [every one] that eateth H398 (QalActPtc) it shall bear H5375 (QalImpf) his iniquity, H5771 because he hath profaned H2490 (PielPerf) the hallowed thing H6944 of the Lord: H3068 and that soul H5315 shall be cut off H3772 (NiphPerf) from among his people. H5971

ο δε εσθων αυτο αμαρτιαν λημψεται οτι τα αγια κυριου εβεβηλωσεν και εξολεθρευθησονται αι ψυχαι αι εσθουσαι εκ του λαου αυτων

But in the fourth year all its fruit shall be holy, for giving praise to Yahweh.

But in the fourth H7243 year H8141 all the fruit H6529 thereof shall be holy H6944 to praise H1974 the Lord H3068 [withal].

I also will set my face against that person, and will cut him off from among his people, because he has given of his offspring to Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name.

“ ‘Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be holy; for I am Yahweh your God.

They shall be holy to their God, and not profane the name of their God, for they offer the offerings of Yahweh made by fire, the bread of their God. Therefore they shall be holy.

ειπον ααρων και τοις υιοις αυτου και προσεχετωσαν απο των αγιων των υιων ισραηλ και ου βεβηλωσουσιν το ονομα το αγιον μου οσα αυτοι αγιαζουσιν μοι εγω κυριος

“Tell them, ‘If anyone of all your offspring throughout your generations approaches the holy things which the children of Israel make holy to Yahweh, having his uncleanness on him, that soul shall be cut off from before me. I am Yahweh.

Say H559 (QalImpv) unto them, Whosoever H376 [he be] of all your seed H2233 among your generations, H1755 that goeth H7126 (QalImpf) unto the holy things, H6944 which the children H1121 of Israel H3478 hallow H6942 (HiphImpf) unto the Lord, H3068 having his uncleanness H2932 upon him, that soul H5315 shall be cut off H3772 (NiphPerf) from my presence: H6440 I [am] the Lord. H3068

ειπον αυτοις εις τας γενεας υμων πας ανθρωπος ος αν προσελθη απο παντος του σπερματος υμων προς τα αγια οσα αν αγιαζωσιν οι υιοι ισραηλ τω κυριω και η ακαθαρσια αυτου επ αυτω εξολεθρευθησεται η ψυχη εκεινη απ εμου εγω κυριος ο θεος υμων

“ ‘Whoever of the offspring of Aaron is a leper or has a discharge shall not eat of the holy things until he is clean. Whoever touches anything that is unclean by the dead, or a man who has a seminal emission,

What man soever H376 of the seed H2233 of Aaron H175 [is] a leper, H6879 (QalPasPtc) or hath a running issue; H2100 (QalActPtc) he shall not eat H398 (QalImpf) of the holy things, H6944 until he be clean. H2891 (QalImpf) And whoso toucheth H5060 (QalActPtc) any thing [that is] unclean H2931 [by] the dead, H5315 or a man H376 whose seed H2233 H7902 goeth H3318 (QalImpf) from him;

και ανθρωπος εκ του σπερματος ααρων του ιερεως και ουτος λεπρα η γονορρυης των αγιων ουκ εδεται εως αν καθαρισθη και ο απτομενος πασης ακαθαρσιας ψυχης η ανθρωπος ω αν εξελθη εξ αυτου κοιτη σπερματος

the person that touches any such shall be unclean until the evening, and shall not eat of the holy things unless he bathes his body in water.

The soul H5315 which hath touched H5060 (QalImpf) any such shall be unclean H2930 (QalPerf) until even, H6153 and shall not eat H398 (QalImpf) of the holy things, H6944 unless H518 he wash H7364 (QalPerf) his flesh H1320 with water. H4325

ψυχη ητις αν αψηται αυτων ακαθαρτος εσται εως εσπερας ουκ εδεται απο των αγιων εαν μη λουσηται το σωμα αυτου υδατι

When the sun is down, he shall be clean; and afterward he shall eat of the holy things, because it is his bread.

και δυη ο ηλιος και καθαρος εσται και τοτε φαγεται των αγιων οτι αρτος εστιν αυτου

“ ‘No stranger shall eat of the holy thing: a foreigner living with the priests, or a hired servant, shall not eat of the holy thing.

There shall no stranger H2114 (QalPtc) eat H398 (QalImpf) [of] the holy thing: H6944 a sojourner H8453 of the priest, H3548 or an hired servant, H7916 shall not eat H398 (QalImpf) [of] the holy thing. H6944

και πας αλλογενης ου φαγεται αγια παροικος ιερεως η μισθωτος ου φαγεται αγια

If a priest’s daughter is married to an outsider, she shall not eat of the heave offering of the holy things.

If the priest’s H3548 daughter H1323 also be [married] unto a stranger, H376 H2114 (QalPtc) she may not eat H398 (QalImpf) of an offering H8641 of the holy things. H6944

και θυγατηρ ανθρωπου ιερεως εαν γενηται ανδρι αλλογενει αυτη των απαρχων των αγιων ου φαγεται

“ ‘If a man eats something holy unwittingly, then he shall add the fifth part of its value to it, and shall give the holy thing to the priest.

And if a man H376 eat H398 (QalImpf) [of] the holy thing H6944 unwittingly, H7684 then he shall put H3254 (QalPerf) the fifth H2549 [part] thereof unto it, and shall give H5414 (QalPerf) [it] unto the priest H3548 with the holy thing. H6944

και ανθρωπος ος αν φαγη αγια κατα αγνοιαν και προσθησει το επιπεμπτον αυτου επ αυτο και δωσει τω ιερει το αγιον

The priests shall not profane the holy things of the children of Israel, which they offer to Yahweh,

And they shall not profane H2490 (PielImpf) the holy things H6944 of the children H1121 of Israel, H3478 which they offer H7311 (HiphImpf) unto the Lord; H3068

και ου βεβηλωσουσιν τα αγια των υιων ισραηλ α αυτοι αφαιρουσιν τω κυριω

and so cause them to bear the iniquity that brings guilt when they eat their holy things; for I am Yahweh who sanctifies them.’ ”

Or suffer them to bear H5375 (HiphPerf) the iniquity H5771 of trespass, H819 when they eat H398 (QalInf) their holy things: H6944 for I the Lord H3068 do sanctify H6942 (PielPtc) them.

και επαξουσιν εφ εαυτους ανομιαν πλημμελειας εν τω εσθιειν αυτους τα αγια αυτων οτι εγω κυριος ο αγιαζων αυτους

You shall not profane my holy name, but I will be made holy among the children of Israel. I am Yahweh who makes you holy,

Neither shall ye profane H2490 (PielImpf) my holy H6944 name; H8034 but I will be hallowed H6942 (NiphPerf) among H8432 the children H1121 of Israel: H3478 I [am] the Lord H3068 which hallow H6942 (PielImpf) you,

και ου βεβηλωσετε το ονομα του αγιου και αγιασθησομαι εν μεσω των υιων ισραηλ εγω κυριος ο αγιαζων υμας

“Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘The set feasts of Yahweh, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my set feasts.
