και νυν καταστητε και δικασω υμας ενωπιον κυριου και απαγγελω υμιν την πασαν δικαιοσυνην κυριου α εποιησεν εν υμιν και εν τοις πατρασιν υμων

If you will fear Yahweh, and serve him, and listen to his voice, and not rebel against the commandment of Yahweh, then both you and also the king who reigns over you are followers of Yahweh your God.

If ye will fear H3372 (QalImpf) the Lord, H3068 and serve H5647 (QalPerf) him, and obey H8085 (QalPerf) his voice, H6963 and not rebel H4784 (HiphImpf) against the commandment H6310 of the Lord, H3068 then shall both ye and also the king H4428 that reigneth H4427 (QalPerf) over you continue following H310 the Lord H3068 your God: H430

εαν φοβηθητε τον κυριον και δουλευσητε αυτω και ακουσητε της φωνης αυτου και μη ερισητε τω στοματι κυριου και ητε και υμεις και ο βασιλευς ο βασιλευων εφ υμων οπισω κυριου πορευομενοι

But if you will not listen to Yahweh’s voice, but rebel against the commandment of Yahweh, then Yahweh’s hand will be against you, as it was against your fathers.

But if ye will not obey H8085 (QalImpf) the voice H6963 of the Lord, H3068 but rebel H4784 (QalPerf) against the commandment H6310 of the Lord, H3068 then shall the hand H3027 of the Lord H3068 be against you, as [it was] against your fathers. H1

εαν δε μη ακουσητε της φωνης κυριου και ερισητε τω στοματι κυριου και εσται χειρ κυριου επι υμας και επι τον βασιλεα υμων

The men of the city went out and fought with Joab. Some of the people fell, even of David’s servants; and Uriah the Hittite died also.

ο λαος ο ων οπισω αμβρι υπερεκρατησεν τον λαον τον οπισω θαμνι υιου γωναθ και απεθανεν θαμνι και ιωραμ ο αδελφος αυτου εν τω καιρω εκεινω και εβασιλευσεν αμβρι μετα θαμνι

The servants of the king of Syria said to him, “Their god is a god of the hills; therefore they were stronger than we. But let’s fight against them in the plain, and surely we will be stronger than they.

^[21:23] και οι παιδες βασιλεως συριας ειπον θεος ορεων θεος ισραηλ και ου θεος κοιλαδων δια τουτο εκραταιωσεν υπερ ημας εαν δε πολεμησωμεν αυτους κατ ευθυ ει μη κραταιωσομεν υπερ αυτους

Muster an army like the army that you have lost, horse for horse and chariot for chariot. We will fight against them in the plain, and surely we will be stronger than they are.” He listened to their voice and did so.

When all our enemies heard of it, all the nations that were around us were afraid, and they lost their confidence; for they perceived that this work was done by our God.

και εγενετο ηνικα ηκουσαν παντες οι εχθροι ημων και εφοβηθησαν παντα τα εθνη τα κυκλω ημων και επεπεσεν φοβος σφοδρα εν οφθαλμοις αυτων και εγνωσαν οτι παρα του θεου ημων εγενηθη τελειωθηναι το εργον τουτο

In those letters, the king granted the Jews who were in every city to gather themselves together and to defend their lives—to destroy, to kill, and to cause to perish all the power of the people and province that would assault them, their little ones and women, and to plunder their possessions,

ως επεταξεν αυτοις χρησθαι τοις νομοις αυτων εν παση πολει βοηθησαι τε αυτοις και χρησθαι τοις αντιδικοις αυτων και τοις αντικειμενοις αυτων ως βουλονται

But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you. Yes, who doesn’t know such things as these?

καμοι μεν καρδια καθ υμας εστιν

Contend, Yahweh, with those who contend with me. Fight against those who fight against me.

Plead H7378 (QalImpv) [my cause], O Lord, H3068 with them that strive H3401 with me: fight H3898 (QalImpv) against them that fight H3898 (QalActPtc) against me.

^[34:1] τω δαυιδ δικασον κυριε τους αδικουντας με πολεμησον τους πολεμουντας με

We see no miraculous signs. There is no longer any prophet, neither is there among us anyone who knows how long.

He sent darkness, and made it dark. They didn’t rebel against his words.

This is Yahweh’s doing. It is marvelous in our eyes.

^[117:23] παρα κυριου εγενετο αυτη και εστιν θαυμαστη εν οφθαλμοις ημων

My son, if you will receive my words, and store up my commandments within you,

υιε εαν δεξαμενος ρησιν εμης εντολης κρυψης παρα σεαυτω

Don’t devise evil against your neighbor, since he dwells securely by you.

Devise H2790 (QalImpf) not evil H7451 against thy neighbour, H7453 seeing he dwelleth H3427 (QalActPtc) securely H983 by thee.

μη τεκτηνη επι σον φιλον κακα παροικουντα και πεποιθοτα επι σοι

My son, keep my words. Lay up my commandments within you.

My son, H1121 keep H8104 (QalImpv) my words, H561 and lay up H6845 (QalImpf) my commandments H4687 with thee.

υιε φυλασσε εμους λογους τας δε εμας εντολας κρυψον παρα σεαυτω (7:1Α) υιε τιμα τον κυριον και ισχυσεις πλην δε αυτου μη φοβου αλλον

for their Defender is strong. He will plead their case against you.

For their redeemer H1350 (QalActPtc) [is] mighty; H2389 he shall plead H7378 (QalImpf) their cause H7379 with thee.

ο γαρ λυτρουμενος αυτους κυριος κραταιος εστιν και κρινει την κρισιν αυτων μετα σου

Now go, write it before them on a tablet, and inscribe it in a book, that it may be for the time to come forever and ever.

νυν ουν καθισας γραψον επι πυξιου ταυτα και εις βιβλιον οτι εσται εις ημερας καιρων ταυτα και εως εις τον αιωνα

εξηλθεν θαρακα βασιλευς αιθιοπων πολιορκησαι αυτον και ακουσας απεστρεψεν και απεστειλεν αγγελους προς εζεκιαν λεγων

Yahweh, your Redeemer, and he who formed you from the womb says: “I am Yahweh, who makes all things; who alone stretches out the heavens; who spreads out the earth by myself;

Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord, H3068 thy redeemer, H1350 (QalActPtc) and he that formed H3335 (QalActPtc) thee from the womb, H990 I [am] the Lord H3068 that maketh H6213 (QalActPtc) all [things]; that stretcheth forth H5186 (QalActPtc) the heavens H8064 alone; that spreadeth abroad H7554 (QalActPtc) the earth H776 by myself;

ουτως λεγει κυριος ο λυτρουμενος σε και ο πλασσων σε εκ κοιλιας εγω κυριος ο συντελων παντα εξετεινα τον ουρανον μονος και εστερεωσα την γην τις ετερος

Woe to him who strives with his Maker— a clay pot among the clay pots of the earth! Shall the clay ask him who fashions it, ‘What are you making?’ or your work, ‘He has no hands’?

Woe H1945 unto him that striveth H7378 (QalPtc) with his Maker! H3335 (QalActPtc) [Let] the potsherd H2789 [strive] with the potsherds H2789 of the earth. ποιον βελτιον κατεσκευασα ως πηλον κεραμεως μη ο αροτριων αροτριασει την γην ολην την ημεραν μη ερει ο πηλος τω κεραμει τι ποιεις οτι ουκ εργαζη ουδε εχεις χειρας

You will see it, and your heart shall rejoice, and your bones will flourish like the tender grass. Yahweh’s hand will be known among his servants; and he will have indignation against his enemies.

And when ye see H7200 (QalPerf) [this], your heart H3820 shall rejoice, H7797 (QalPerf) and your bones H6106 shall flourish H6524 (QalImpf) like an herb: H1877 and the hand H3027 of the Lord H3068 shall be known H3045 (NiphPerf) toward his servants, H5650 and [his] indignation H2194 (QalPerf) toward his enemies. και οψεσθε και χαρησεται υμων η καρδια και τα οστα υμων ως βοτανη ανατελει και γνωσθησεται η χειρ κυριου τοις σεβομενοις αυτον και απειλησει τοις απειθουσιν

But you, Yahweh, know me. You see me, and test my heart toward you. Pull them out like sheep for the slaughter, and prepare them for the day of slaughter.

But thou, O Lord, H3068 knowest H3045 (QalPerf) me: thou hast seen H7200 (QalImpf) me, and tried H974 (QalPerf) mine heart H3820 toward thee: pull them out H5423 (HiphImpv) like sheep H6629 for the slaughter, H2878 and prepare H6942 (HiphImpv) them for the day H3117 of slaughter. H2028

και συ κυριε γινωσκεις με δεδοκιμακας την καρδιαν μου εναντιον σου αγνισον αυτους εις ημεραν σφαγης αυτων

“Then you shall break the container in the sight of the men who go with you,

και συντριψεις τον βικον κατ οφθαλμους των ανδρων των εκπορευομενων μετα σου

‘Yahweh, the God of Israel says, “Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands, with which you fight against the king of Babylon, and against the Chaldeans who besiege you outside the walls; and I will gather them into the middle of this city.

Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H3068 God H430 of Israel; H3478 Behold, I will turn back H5437 (HiphPtc) the weapons H3627 of war H4421 that [are] in your hands, H3027 wherewith ye fight H3898 (NiphPtc) against the king H4428 of Babylon, H894 and [against] the Chaldeans, H3778 which besiege H6696 (QalActPtc) you without H2351 the walls, H2346 and I will assemble H622 (QalPerf) them into the midst H8432 of this city. I myself will fight against you with an outstretched hand and with a strong arm, even in anger, in wrath, and in great indignation.

The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream; and he who has my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the straw to the wheat?” says Yahweh.

^[39:5] και εισελευσεται σεδεκιας εις βαβυλωνα και εκει καθιειται

For though you had struck the whole army of the Chaldeans who fight against you, and only wounded men remained among them, they would each rise up in his tent and burn this city with fire.’ ”

^[44:10] και εαν παταξητε πασαν δυναμιν των χαλδαιων τους πολεμουντας υμας και καταλειφθωσιν τινες εκκεκεντημενοι εκαστος εν τω τοπω αυτου ουτοι αναστησονται και καυσουσιν την πολιν ταυτην εν πυρι

Therefore the wild animals of the desert with the wolves will dwell there. The ostriches will dwell therein. It will be inhabited no more forever, neither will it be lived in from generation to generation.

Therefore the wild beasts of the desert H6728 with the wild beasts of the islands H338 shall dwell H3427 (QalImpf) [there], and the owls H1323 H3284 shall dwell H3427 (QalPerf) therein: and it shall be no more inhabited H3427 (QalImpf) for ever; H5331 neither shall it be dwelt H7931 (QalImpf) in from generation H1755 to generation. ^[27:39] δια τουτο κατοικησουσιν ινδαλματα εν ταις νησοις και κατοικησουσιν εν αυτη θυγατερες σειρηνων ου μη κατοικηθη ουκετι εις τον αιωνα

“Yahweh is righteous, for I have rebelled against his commandment. Please hear all you peoples, and see my sorrow. My virgins and my young men have gone into captivity.

The Lord H3068 is righteous; H6662 for I have rebelled H4784 (QalPerf) against his commandment: H6310 hear, H8085 (QalImpv) I pray you, all people, H5971 and behold H7200 (QalImpv) my sorrow: H4341 my virgins H1330 and my young men H970 are gone H1980 (QalPerf) into captivity. H7628

δικαιος εστιν κυριος οτι το στομα αυτου παρεπικρανα ακουσατε δη παντες οι λαοι και ιδετε το αλγος μου παρθενοι μου και νεανισκοι μου επορευθησαν εν αιχμαλωσια

But when I speak with you, I will open your mouth, and you shall tell them, ‘This is what the Lord Yahweh says.’ He who hears, let him hear; and he who refuses, let him refuse; for they are a rebellious house.”

But when I speak H1696 (PielInf) with H854 thee, I will open H6605 (QalImpf) thy mouth, H6310 and thou shalt say H559 (QalPerf) unto them, Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H136 God; H3069 He that heareth, H8085 (QalActPtc) let him hear; H8085 (QalImpf) and he that forbeareth, H2310 let him forbear: H2308 (QalImpf) for they [are] a rebellious H4805 house. και εν τω λαλειν με προς σε ανοιξω το στομα σου και ερεις προς αυτους ταδε λεγει κυριος ο ακουων ακουετω και ο απειθων απειθειτω διοτι οικος παραπικραινων εστιν

She has rebelled against my ordinances in doing wickedness more than the nations, and against my statutes more than the countries that are around her; for they have rejected my ordinances, and as for my statutes, they have not walked in them.’

And she hath changed H4784 (HiphImpf) my judgments H4941 into wickedness H7564 more than the nations, H1471 and my statutes H2708 more than the countries H776 that [are] round about H5439 her: for they have refused H3988 (QalPerf) my judgments H4941 and my statutes, H2708 they have not walked H1980 (QalPerf) in them.

και ερεις τα δικαιωματα μου τη ανομω εκ των εθνων και τα νομιμα μου εκ των χωρων των κυκλω αυτης διοτι τα δικαιωματα μου απωσαντο και εν τοις νομιμοις μου ουκ επορευθησαν εν αυτοις

In all your abominations and your prostitution you have not remembered the days of your youth, when you were naked and bare, and were wallowing in your blood.

And in all thine abominations H8441 and thy whoredoms H8457 thou hast not remembered H2142 (QalPerf) the days H3117 of thy youth, H5271 when thou wast naked H5903 and bare, H6181 [and] wast polluted H947 (HiplPtc) in thy blood. H1818

τουτο παρα πασαν την πορνειαν σου και ουκ εμνησθης τας ημερας της νηπιοτητος σου οτε ησθα γυμνη και ασχημονουσα και πεφυρμενη εν τω αιματι σου εζησας

They will not lie with the mighty who are fallen of the uncircumcised, who have gone down to Sheol with their weapons of war and have laid their swords under their heads. Their iniquities are on their bones; for they were the terror of the mighty in the land of the living.

και εκοιμηθησαν μετα των γιγαντων των πεπτωκοτων απο αιωνος οι κατεβησαν εις αδου εν οπλοις πολεμικοις και εθηκαν τας μαχαιρας αυτων υπο τας κεφαλας αυτων και εγενηθησαν αι ανομιαι αυτων επι των οστων αυτων οτι εξεφοβησαν γιγαντας εν γη ζωης

Listen now to what Yahweh says: “Arise, plead your case before the mountains, and let the hills hear what you have to say.

ακουσατε δη λογον κυριου κυριος ειπεν αναστηθι κριθητι προς τα ορη και ακουσατωσαν οι βουνοι φωνην σου

I will sweep away man and animal. I will sweep away the birds of the sky, the fish of the sea, and the heaps of rubble with the wicked. I will cut off man from the surface of the earth, says Yahweh.

I will consume H5486 (HiphImpf) man H120 and beast; H929 I will consume H5486 (HiphImpf) the fowls H5775 of the heaven, H8064 and the fishes H1709 of the sea, H3220 and the stumblingblocks H4384 with the wicked; H7563 and I will cut off H3772 (HiphPerf) man H120 from off H6440 the land, H127 saith H5002 (QalPasPtc) the Lord. εκλιπετω ανθρωπος και κτηνη εκλιπετω τα πετεινα του ουρανου και οι ιχθυες της θαλασσης και εξαρω τους ανθρωπους απο προσωπου της γης λεγει κυριος
