Esther had not yet made known her relatives nor her people, as Mordecai had commanded her; for Esther obeyed Mordecai, like she did when she was brought up by him.

Esther H635 had not yet shewed H5046 (HiphPtc) her kindred H4138 nor her people; H5971 as Mordecai H4782 had charged H6680 (PielPerf) her: for Esther H635 did H6213 (QalActPtc) the commandment H3982 of Mordecai, H4782 like as when she was brought up H545 with him.

η δε εσθηρ ουχ υπεδειξεν την πατριδα αυτης ουτως γαρ ενετειλατο αυτη μαρδοχαιος φοβεισθαι τον θεον και ποιειν τα προσταγματα αυτου καθως ην μετ αυτου και εσθηρ ου μετηλλαξεν την αγωγην αυτης

All the king’s servants who were in the king’s gate bowed down and paid homage to Haman, for the king had so commanded concerning him. But Mordecai didn’t bow down or pay him homage.

And all the king’s H4428 servants, H5650 that were in the king’s H4428 gate, H8179 bowed, H3766 (QalActPtc) and reverenced H7812 (HithPtc) Haman: H2001 for the king H4428 had so commanded H6680 (PielPerf) concerning him. But Mordecai H4782 bowed H3766 (QalImpf) not, nor did him reverence. H7812 (HithImpf)

και παντες οι εν τη αυλη προσεκυνουν αυτω ουτως γαρ προσεταξεν ο βασιλευς ποιησαι ο δε μαρδοχαιος ου προσεκυνει αυτω

Then the king’s scribes were called in on the first month, on the thirteenth day of the month; and all that Haman commanded was written to the king’s local governors, and to the governors who were over every province, and to the princes of every people, to every province according to its writing, and to every people in their language. It was written in the name of King Ahasuerus, and it was sealed with the king’s ring.

Then were the king’s H4428 scribes^§ H5608 (QalActPtc) called H7121 (NiphImpf) on the thirteenth H7969 H6240 day H3117 of the first H7223 month, H2320 and there was written H3789 (NiphImpf) according to all that Haman H2001 had commanded H6680 (PielPerf) unto the king’s H4428 lieutenants, H323 and to the governors H6346 that were over every province, H4082 and to the rulers H8269 of every people H5971 of every province H4082 according to the writing H3791 thereof, and to every people H5971 after their language; H3956 in the name H8034 of king H4428 Ahasuerus H325 was it written, H3789 (NiphPtc) and sealed H2856 (NiphPerf) with the king’s H4428 ring. και εκληθησαν οι γραμματεις του βασιλεως μηνι πρωτω τη τρισκαιδεκατη και εγραψαν ως επεταξεν αμαν τοις στρατηγοις και τοις αρχουσιν κατα πασαν χωραν απο ινδικης εως της αιθιοπιας ταις εκατον εικοσι επτα χωραις τοις τε αρχουσι των εθνων κατα την αυτων λεξιν δι αρταξερξου του βασιλεως

Then Esther called for Hathach, one of the king’s eunuchs, whom he had appointed to attend her, and commanded him to go to Mordecai, to find out what this was, and why it was.

Then called H7121 (QalImpf) Esther H635 for Hatach, H2047 one of the king’s H4428 chamberlains, H5631 whom he had appointed H5975 (HiphPerf) to attend H6440 upon her,^§ and gave him a commandment H6680 (PielImpf) to Mordecai, H4782 to know H3045 (QalInf) what it was, and why it was.

η δε εσθηρ προσεκαλεσατο αχραθαιον τον ευνουχον αυτης ος παρειστηκει αυτη και απεστειλεν μαθειν αυτη παρα του μαρδοχαιου το ακριβες

He also gave him the copy of the writing of the decree that was given out in Susa to destroy them, to show it to Esther, and to declare it to her, and to urge her to go in to the king to make supplication to him, and to make request before him for her people.

και το αντιγραφον το εν σουσοις εκτεθεν υπερ του απολεσθαι αυτους εδωκεν αυτω δειξαι τη εσθηρ και ειπεν αυτω εντειλασθαι αυτη εισελθουση παραιτησασθαι τον βασιλεα και αξιωσαι αυτον περι του λαου μνησθεισα ημερων ταπεινωσεως σου ως ετραφης εν χειρι μου διοτι αμαν ο δευτερευων τω βασιλει ελαλησεν καθ ημων εις θανατον επικαλεσαι τον κυριον και λαλησον τω βασιλει περι ημων και ρυσαι ημας εκ θανατου

Then Esther spoke to Hathach, and gave him a message to Mordecai:

ειπεν δε εσθηρ προς αχραθαιον πορευθητι προς μαρδοχαιον και ειπον οτι

So Mordecai went his way, and did according to all that Esther had commanded him.

So Mordecai H4782 went^§ his way, H5674 (QalImpf) and did H6213 (QalImpf) according to all that Esther H635 had commanded H6680 (PielPerf) him.

He covers his hands with the lightning, and commands it to strike the mark.

It is turned around by his guidance, that they may do whatever he commands them on the surface of the habitable world,

For he spoke, and it was done. He commanded, and it stood firm.

Yahweh^§ will command his loving kindness in the daytime. In the night his song shall be with me: a prayer to the God of my life.

Psalm 42:8 “Yahweh” is God’s proper Name, sometimes rendered “Lord” (all caps) in other translations.
