επι των ορεων ου φαγεται και τους οφθαλμους αυτου ου μη επαρη προς τα ενθυμηματα οικου ισραηλ και την γυναικα του πλησιον αυτου ου μη μιανη και προς γυναικα εν αφεδρω ουσαν ου προσεγγιει

has wronged the poor and needy, has taken by robbery, has not restored the pledge, and has lifted up his eyes to the idols, has committed abomination,

“Yet you say, ‘Why doesn’t the son bear the iniquity of the father?’ When the son has done that which is lawful and right, and has kept all my statutes, and has done them, he will surely live.

και ερειτε τι οτι ουκ ελαβεν την αδικιαν ο υιος του πατρος αυτου οτι ο υιος δικαιοσυνην και ελεος εποιησεν παντα τα νομιμα μου συνετηρησεν και εποιησεν αυτα ζωη ζησεται

The soul who sins, he shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be on him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be on him.

“Moreover, take up a lamentation for the princes of Israel,

Moreover I swore to them in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the nations and disperse them through the countries,

και εξηρα την χειρα μου επ αυτους εν τη ερημω του διασκορπισαι αυτους εν τοις εθνεσιν και διασπειραι αυτους εν ταις χωραις

For when I had brought them into the land which I swore to give to them, then they saw every high hill and every thick tree, and they offered there their sacrifices, and there they presented the provocation of their offering. There they also made their pleasant aroma, and there they poured out their drink offerings.

και εισηγαγον αυτους εις την γην ην ηρα την χειρα μου του δουναι αυτοις και ειδον παν βουνον υψηλον και παν ξυλον κατασκιον και εθυσαν εκει τοις θεοις αυτων και εταξαν εκει οσμην ευωδιας και εσπεισαν εκει σπονδας αυτων

When you offer your gifts, when you make your sons pass through the fire, do you pollute yourselves with all your idols to this day? Should I be inquired of by you, house of Israel? As I live, says the Lord Yahweh, I will not be inquired of by you!

For when ye offer H5375 (QalInf) your gifts, H4979 when ye make your sons H1121 to pass through H5674 (HiphInf) the fire, H784 ye pollute H2930 (NiphPtc) yourselves with all your idols, H1544 even unto this day: H3117 and shall I be enquired H1875 (NiphImpf) of by you, O house H1004 of Israel? και εν ταις απαρχαις των δοματων υμων εν τοις αφορισμοις υμεις μιαινεσθε εν πασιν τοις ενθυμημασιν υμων εως της σημερον ημερας και εγω αποκριθω υμιν οικος του ισραηλ ζω εγω λεγει κυριος ει αποκριθησομαι υμιν και ει αναβησεται επι το πνευμα υμων τουτο

You will know that I am Yahweh when I bring you into the land of Israel, into the country which I swore to give to your fathers.

And ye shall know H3045 (QalPerf) that I am the Lord, H3068 when I shall bring H935 (HiphInf) you into the land H127 of Israel, H3478 into the country H776 for the which I lifted up H5375 (QalPerf) mine hand H3027 to give H5414 (QalInf) it to your fathers. H1

και επιγνωσεσθε διοτι εγω κυριος εν τω εισαγαγειν με υμας εις την γην του ισραηλ εις την γην εις ην ηρα την χειρα μου του δουναι αυτην τοις πατρασιν υμων

Thus I will make your lewdness to cease from you, and remove your prostitution from the land of Egypt, so that you will not lift up your eyes to them, nor remember Egypt any more.’

Thus will I make thy lewdness H2154 to cease H7673 (HiphPerf) from thee, and thy whoredom H2184 brought from the land H776 of Egypt: H4714 so that thou shalt not lift up H5375 (QalImpf) thine eyes H5869 unto them, nor remember H2142 (QalImpf) Egypt H4714 any more.

και αποστρεψω τας ασεβειας σου εκ σου και την πορνειαν σου εκ γης αιγυπτου και ου μη αρης τους οφθαλμους σου επ αυτους και αιγυπτου ου μη μνησθης ουκετι

“Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: ‘Because you have forgotten me and cast me behind your back, therefore you also bear your lewdness and your prostitution.’”

Therefore thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H136 God; H3069 Because thou hast forgotten H7911 (QalPerf) me, and cast H7993 (HiphImpf) me behind H310 thy back, H1458 therefore bear H5375 (QalImpv) thou also thy lewdness H2154 and thy whoredoms. H8457

δια τουτο ταδε λεγει κυριος ανθ ων επελαθου μου και απερριψας με οπισω του σωματος σου και συ λαβε την ασεβειαν σου και την πορνειαν σου

They will recompense your lewdness on you, and you will bear the sins of your idols. Then you will know that I am the Lord Yahweh.’”

And they shall recompense H5414 (QalPerf) your lewdness H2154 upon you, and ye shall bear H5375 (QalImpf) the sins H2399 of your idols: H1544 and ye shall know H3045 (QalPerf) that I am the Lord H136 God. H3069

και δοθησεται η ασεβεια υμων εφ υμας και τας αμαρτιας των ενθυμηματων υμων λημψεσθε και γνωσεσθε διοτι εγω κυριος
