“At that time,” says Yahweh, “they will bring the bones of the kings of Judah, the bones of his princes, the bones of the priests, the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves.

Therefore I will give their wives to others and their fields to those who will possess them. For everyone from the least even to the greatest is given to covetousness; from the prophet even to the priest everyone deals falsely.

Then the priests and the prophets spoke to the princes and to all the people, saying, “This man is worthy of death, for he has prophesied against this city, as you have heard with your ears.”

^[34:9] και υμεις μη ακουετε των ψευδοπροφητων υμων και των μαντευομενων υμιν και των ενυπνιαζομενων υμιν και των οιωνισματων υμων και των φαρμακων υμων των λεγοντων ου μη εργασησθε τω βασιλει βαβυλωνος

Don’t listen to the words of the prophets who speak to you, saying, ‘You shall not serve the king of Babylon;’ for they prophesy a lie to you.

Therefore hearken H8085 (QalImpf) not unto the words H1697 of the prophets H5030 that speak H559 (QalActPtc) unto you, saying, H559 (QalInf) Ye shall not serve H5647 (QalImpf) the king H4428 of Babylon: H894 for they prophesy H5012 (NiphPtc) a lie H8267 unto you.

^[34:14] και εργασασθε τω βασιλει βαβυλωνος οτι αδικα αυτοι προφητευουσιν υμιν

For I have not sent them,” says Yahweh, “but they prophesy falsely in my name; that I may drive you out, and that you may perish, you, and the prophets who prophesy to you.”

Also I spoke to the priests and to all this people, saying, Yahweh says, “Don’t listen to the words of your prophets who prophesy to you, saying, ‘Behold, the vessels of Yahweh’s house will now shortly be brought again from Babylon;’ for they prophesy a lie to you.

^[34:16] υμιν και παντι τω λαω τουτω και τοις ιερευσιν ελαλησα λεγων ουτως ειπεν κυριος μη ακουετε των λογων των προφητων των προφητευοντων υμιν λεγοντων ιδου σκευη οικου κυριου επιστρεψει εκ βαβυλωνος οτι αδικα αυτοι προφητευουσιν υμιν ουκ απεστειλα αυτους

But if they are prophets, and if Yahweh’s word is with them, let them now make intercession to Yahweh of Armies, that the vessels which are left in Yahweh’s house, in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, don’t go to Babylon.

That same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, Hananiah the son of Azzur, the prophet, who was of Gibeon, spoke to me in Yahweh’s house, in the presence of the priests and of all the people, saying,

^[35:1] και εγενετο εν τω τεταρτω ετει σεδεκια βασιλεως ιουδα εν μηνι τω πεμπτω ειπεν μοι ανανιας υιος αζωρ ο ψευδοπροφητης ο απο γαβαων εν οικω κυριου κατ οφθαλμους των ιερεων και παντος του λαου λεγων

Then the prophet Jeremiah said to the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests, and in the presence of all the people who stood in Yahweh’s house,

even the prophet Jeremiah said, “Amen! May Yahweh do so. May Yahweh perform your words which you have prophesied, to bring again the vessels of Yahweh’s house, and all those who are captives, from Babylon to this place.

^[35:6] και ειπεν ιερεμιας αληθως ουτω ποιησαι κυριος στησαι τον λογον σου ον συ προφητευεις του επιστρεψαι τα σκευη οικου κυριου και πασαν την αποικιαν εκ βαβυλωνος εις τον τοπον τουτον

The prophets who have been before me and before you of old prophesied against many countries, and against great kingdoms, of war, of evil, and of pestilence.

^[35:8] οι προφηται οι γεγονοτες προτεροι μου και προτεροι υμων απο του αιωνος και επροφητευσαν επι γης πολλης και επι βασιλειας μεγαλας εις πολεμον

As for the prophet who prophesies of peace, when the word of the prophet happens, then the prophet will be known, that Yahweh has truly sent him.”

The prophet H5030 which prophesieth H5012 (NiphImpf) of peace, H7965 when the word H1697 of the prophet H5030 shall come to pass, H935 (QalInf) then H227 shall the prophet H5030 be known, H3045 (NiphImpf) that the Lord H3068 hath truly H571 sent H7971 (QalPerf) him.

Then Hananiah the prophet took the bar from off the prophet Jeremiah’s neck, and broke it.

Then Hananiah H2608 the prophet H5030 took H3947 (QalImpf) the yoke H4133 from off the prophet H5030 Jeremiah’s H3414 neck, H6677 and brake H7665 (QalImpf) it.

^[35:10] και ελαβεν ανανιας εν οφθαλμοις παντος του λαου τους κλοιους απο του τραχηλου ιερεμιου και συνετριψεν αυτους

Hananiah spoke in the presence of all the people, saying, “Yahweh says: ‘Even so I will break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon from off the neck of all the nations within two full years.’ ” Then the prophet Jeremiah went his way.

And Hananiah H2608 spake H559 (QalImpf) in the presence H5869 of all the people, H5971 saying, H559 (QalInf) Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord; H3068 Even so will I break H7665 (QalImpf) the yoke H5923 of Nebuchadnezzar H5019 king H4428 of Babylon H894 from the neck H6677 of all nations H1471 within the space of two full H3117 years. ^[35:11] και ειπεν ανανιας κατ οφθαλμους παντος του λαου λεγων ουτως ειπεν κυριος ουτως συντριψω τον ζυγον βασιλεως βαβυλωνος απο τραχηλων παντων των εθνων και ωχετο ιερεμιας εις την οδον αυτου

Then Yahweh’s word came to Jeremiah, after Hananiah the prophet had broken the bar from off the neck of the prophet Jeremiah, saying,

^[35:12] και εγενετο λογος κυριου προς ιερεμιαν μετα το συντριψαι ανανιαν τους κλοιους απο του τραχηλου αυτου λεγων

Then the prophet Jeremiah said to Hananiah the prophet, “Listen, Hananiah! Yahweh has not sent you, but you make this people trust in a lie.

Then said H559 (QalImpf) the prophet H5030 Jeremiah H3414 unto Hananiah H2608 the prophet, H5030 Hear H8085 (QalImpv) now, Hananiah; H2608 The Lord H3068 hath not sent H7971 (QalPerf) thee; but thou makest this people H5971 to trust H982 (HiphPerf) in a lie. H8267

^[35:15] και ειπεν ιερεμιας τω ανανια ουκ απεσταλκεν σε κυριος και πεποιθεναι εποιησας τον λαον τουτον επ αδικω

So Hananiah the prophet died the same year in the seventh month.

So Hananiah H2608 the prophet H5030 died H4191 (QalImpf) the same year H8141 in the seventh H7637 month. H2320
