He said to me, ‘Solomon, your son, shall build my house and my courts; for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father.

και ειπεν μοι ο θεος σαλωμων ο υιος σου οικοδομησει τον οικον μου και την αυλην μου οτι ηρετικα εν αυτω ειναι μου υιον καγω εσομαι αυτω εις πατερα

Now therefore, in the sight of all Israel, Yahweh’s assembly, and in the audience of our God, observe and seek out all the commandments of Yahweh your God, that you may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children after you forever.

Now therefore in the sight H5869 of all Israel H3478 the congregation H6951 of the Lord, H3068 and in the audience H241 of our God, H430 keep H8104 (QalImpv) and seek H1875 (QalImpv) for all the commandments H4687 of the Lord H3068 your God: H430 that ye may possess H3423 (QalImpf) this good H2896 land, H776 and leave it for an inheritance H5157 (HiphPerf) for your children H1121 after H310 you for H5704 ever. και νυν κατα προσωπον πασης εκκλησιας κυριου και εν ωσιν θεου ημων φυλαξασθε και ζητησατε πασας τας εντολας κυριου του θεου ημων ινα κληρονομησητε την γην την αγαθην και κατακληρονομησητε τοις υιοις υμων μεθ υμας εως αιωνος

You, Solomon my son, know the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind; for Yahweh searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.

και νυν σαλωμων υιε μου γνωθι τον θεον των πατερων σου και δουλευε αυτω εν καρδια τελεια και ψυχη θελουση οτι πασας καρδιας εταζει κυριος και παν ενθυμημα γιγνωσκει εαν ζητησης αυτον ευρεθησεται σοι και εαν καταλειψης αυτον καταλειψει σε εις τελος

Then David gave to Solomon his son the plans for the porch of the temple, for its houses, for its treasuries, for its upper rooms, for its inner rooms, for the place of the mercy seat;

και εδωκεν δαυιδ σαλωμων τω υιω αυτου το παραδειγμα του ναου και των οικων αυτου και των ζακχω αυτου και των υπερωων και των αποθηκων των εσωτερων και του οικου του εξιλασμου

David said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous, and do it. Don’t be afraid, nor be dismayed, for Yahweh God, even my God, is with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you, until all the work for the service of Yahweh’s house is finished.

And David H1732 said H559 (QalImpf) to Solomon H8010 his son, H1121 Be strong H2388 (QalImpv) and of good courage, H553 (QalImpv) and do H6213 (QalImpv) it: fear H3372 (QalImpf) not, nor be dismayed: H2865 (NiphImpf) for the Lord H3068 God, H430 even my God, H430 will be with thee; he will not fail H7503 (HiphImpf) thee, nor forsake H5800 (QalImpf) thee, until thou hast finished H3615 (QalInf) all the work H4399 for the service H5656 of the house H1004 of the Lord. και ειπεν δαυιδ σαλωμων τω υιω αυτου ισχυε και ανδριζου και ποιει μη φοβου μηδε πτοηθης οτι κυριος ο θεος μου μετα σου ουκ ανησει σε και ου μη σε εγκαταλιπη εως του συντελεσαι σε πασαν εργασιαν λειτουργιας οικου κυριου

David the king said to all the assembly, “Solomon my son, whom alone God has chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great; for the palace is not for man, but for Yahweh God.

Furthermore David H1732 the king H4428 said H559 (QalImpf) unto all the congregation, H6951 Solomon H8010 my son, H1121 whom alone H259 God H430 hath chosen, H977 (QalPerf) is yet young H5288 and tender, H7390 and the work H4399 is great: H1419 for the palace H1002 is not for man, H120 but for the Lord H3068 God. H430

και ειπεν δαυιδ ο βασιλευς παση τη εκκλησια σαλωμων ο υιος μου εις ον ηρετικεν εν αυτω κυριος νεος και απαλος και το εργον μεγα οτι ουκ ανθρωπω η οικοδομη αλλ η κυριω θεω

and give to Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep your commandments, your testimonies, and your statutes, and to do all these things, and to build the palace, for which I have made provision.”

and give H5414 (QalImpv) unto Solomon H8010 my son H1121 a perfect H8003 heart, H3824 to keep H8104 (QalInf) thy commandments, H4687 thy testimonies, H5715 and thy statutes, H2706 and to do H6213 (QalInf) all these things, and to build H1129 (QalInf) the palace, H1002 for the which I have made provision. και σαλωμων τω υιω μου δος καρδιαν αγαθην ποιειν τας εντολας σου και τα μαρτυρια σου και τα προσταγματα σου και του επι τελος αγαγειν την κατασκευην του οικου σου
