Behold, the Cushite came. The Cushite said, “Good news for my lord the king, for Yahweh has avenged you today of all those who rose up against you.”

Yahweh’s^§ word which came to Zephaniah, the son of Cushi, the son of Gedaliah, the son of Amariah, the son of Hezekiah, in the days of Josiah, the son of Amon, king of Judah.

Zephaniah 1:1 “Yahweh” is God’s proper Name, sometimes rendered “Lord” (all caps) in other translations.

You Cushites also, you will be killed by my sword.
