Then they went in to Hezekiah the king within the palace and said, “We have cleansed all Yahweh’s house, including the altar of burnt offering with all its vessels, and the table of show bread with all its vessels.

Then they went H935 (QalImpf) in H6441 to Hezekiah H2396 the king, H4428 and said, H559 (QalImpf) We have cleansed H2891 (PielPerf) all the house H1004 of the Lord, H3068 and the altar H4196 of burnt offering, H5930 with all the vessels H3627 thereof, and the shewbread H4635 table, H7979 with all the vessels H3627 thereof.

And they come in within unto Hezekiah the king, and say, ‘We have cleansed all the house of Jehovah, and the altar of the burnt-offering, and all its vessels, and the table of the arrangement, and all its vessels,

They brought seven bulls, seven rams, seven lambs, and seven male goats, for a sin offering for the kingdom, for the sanctuary, and for Judah. He commanded the priests the sons of Aaron to offer them on Yahweh’s altar.

And they brought H935 (HiphImpf) seven H7651 bullocks, H6499 and seven H7651 rams, H352 and seven H7651 lambs, H3532 and seven H7651 he H6842 goats, H5795 for a sin offering H2403 for the kingdom, H4467 and for the sanctuary, H4720 and for Judah. and they bring in seven bullocks, and seven rams, and seven lambs, and seven young he-goats, for a sin-offering for the kingdom, and for the sanctuary, and for Judah; and he saith to sons of Aaron, the priests, to cause them to ascend on the altar of Jehovah.

Then Hezekiah answered, “Now you have consecrated yourselves to Yahweh. Come near and bring sacrifices and thank offerings into Yahweh’s house.” The assembly brought in sacrifices and thank offerings, and as many as were of a willing heart brought burnt offerings.

Then Hezekiah H3169 answered H6030 (QalImpf) and said, H559 (QalImpf) Now ye have consecrated H4390 (PielPerf) H3027 yourselves unto the Lord, H3068 come near H5066 (QalImpv) and bring H935 (HiphImpv) sacrifices H2077 and thank offerings H8426 into the house H1004 of the Lord. H3068 And the congregation H6951 brought in H935 (HiphImpf) sacrifices H2077 and thank offerings; H8426 and as many as were of a free H5081 heart H3820 burnt offerings. H5930

And Hezekiah answereth and saith, ‘Now ye have filled your hand to Jehovah, come nigh, and bring in sacrifices and thank-offerings to the house of Jehovah;’ and the assembly bring in sacrifices and thank-offerings, and every willing-hearted one-burnt-offerings.

The number of the burnt offerings which the assembly brought was seventy bulls, one hundred rams, and two hundred lambs. All these were for a burnt offering to Yahweh.

And the number H4557 of the burnt offerings, H5930 which the congregation H6951 brought, H935 (HiphPerf) was threescore and ten H7657 bullocks, H1241 an hundred H3967 rams, H352 [and] two hundred H3967 lambs: H3532 all these [were] for a burnt offering H5930 to the Lord. H3068

And the number of the burnt-offerings that the assembly have brought in, is seventy oxen, a hundred rams, lambs two hundred; for a burnt-offering to Jehovah are all these.

Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah, and wrote letters also to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to Yahweh’s house at Jerusalem, to keep the Passover to Yahweh, the God of Israel.

And Hezekiah H3169 sent H7971 (QalImpf) to all Israel H3478 and Judah, H3063 and wrote H3789 (QalPerf) letters H107 also to Ephraim H669 and Manasseh, H4519 that they should come H935 (QalInf) to the house H1004 of the Lord H3068 at Jerusalem, H3389 to keep H6213 (QalInf) the passover H6453 unto the Lord H3068 God H430 of Israel. And Hezekiah sendeth unto all Israel and Judah, and also letters he hath written unto Ephraim and Manasseh, to come in to the house of Jehovah in Jerusalem, to make a passover to Jehovah, God of Israel.

So they established a decree to make proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beersheba even to Dan, that they should come to keep the Passover to Yahweh, the God of Israel, at Jerusalem, for they had not kept it in great numbers in the way it is written.

So they established H5975 (HiphImpf) a decree H1697 to make proclamation H5674 (HiphInf) H6963 throughout all Israel, H3478 from Beersheba H884 even to Dan, H1835 that they should come H935 (QalInf) to keep H6213 (QalInf) the passover H6453 unto the Lord H3068 God H430 of Israel H3478 at Jerusalem: H3389 for they had not done H6213 (QalPerf) [it] of a long H7230 [time in such sort] as it was written. and they establish the thing, to cause to pass over an intimation into all Israel, from Beer-Sheba even unto Dan, to come in to make a passover to Jehovah, God of Israel, in Jerusalem, for not for a long time had they done as it is written.

Now don’t be stiff-necked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves to Yahweh, and enter into his sanctuary, which he has sanctified forever, and serve Yahweh your God, that his fierce anger may turn away from you.

Now be ye not stiffnecked, H7185 (HiphImpf) H6203 as your fathers H1 [were, but] yield H5414 (QalImpv) yourselves H3027 unto the Lord, H3068 and enter H935 (QalImpv) into his sanctuary, H4720 which he hath sanctified H6942 (HiphPerf) for ever: H5769 and serve H5647 (QalImpv) the Lord H3068 your God, H430 that the fierceness H2740 of his wrath H639 may turn away H7725 (QalImpf) from you.

‘Now, harden not your neck like your fathers, give a hand to Jehovah, and come in to His sanctuary, that He hath sanctified to the age, and serve Jehovah your God, and the fierceness of His anger doth turn back from you;

Nevertheless some men of Asher, Manasseh, and Zebulun humbled themselves and came to Jerusalem.

Nevertheless divers H582 of Asher H836 and Manasseh H4519 and of Zebulun H2074 humbled H3665 (NiphPerf) themselves, and came H935 (QalImpf) to Jerusalem. H3389

only, certain from Asher, and Manasseh, and from Zebulun, have been humbled, and come in to Jerusalem.

Then they killed the Passover on the fourteenth day of the second month. The priests and the Levites were ashamed, and sanctified themselves, and brought burnt offerings into Yahweh’s house.

Then they killed H7819 (QalImpf) the passover H6453 on the fourteenth H702 H6240 [day] of the second H8145 month: H2320 and the priests H3548 and the Levites H3881 were ashamed, H3637 (NiphPerf) and sanctified H6942 (HithImpf) themselves, and brought in H935 (HiphImpf) the burnt offerings H5930 into the house H1004 of the Lord. and they slaughter the passover-offering on the fourteenth of the second month, and the priests and the Levites have been ashamed, and sanctify themselves, and bring in burnt-offerings to the house of Jehovah.

All the assembly of Judah, with the priests and the Levites, and all the assembly who came out of Israel, and the foreigners who came out of the land of Israel and who lived in Judah, rejoiced.

And all the congregation H6951 of Judah, H3063 with the priests H3548 and the Levites, H3881 and all the congregation H6951 that came out H935 (QalActPtc) of Israel, H3478 and the strangers H1616 that came out H935 (QalActPtc) of the land H776 of Israel, H3478 and that dwelt H3427 (QalActPtc) in Judah, H3063 rejoiced. H8055 (QalImpf)

And all the assembly of Judah rejoice, and the priests, and the Levites, and all the assembly, those coming in from Israel, and the sojourners, those coming in from the land of Israel, and those dwelling in Judah,

Then the Levitical priests arose and blessed the people. Their voice was heard, and their prayer came up to his holy habitation, even to heaven.

Then the priests H3548 the Levites H3881 arose H6965 (QalImpf) and blessed H1288 (PielImpf) the people: H5971 and their voice H6963 was heard, H8085 (NiphImpf) and their prayer H8605 came H935 (QalImpf) [up] to his holy H6944 dwelling place, H4583 [even] unto heaven. H8064

and the priests, the Levites, rise and bless the people, and their voice is heard, and their prayer cometh in to His holy habitation, to the heavens.

As soon as the commandment went out, the children of Israel gave in abundance the first fruits of grain, new wine, oil, honey, and of all the increase of the field; and they brought in the tithe of all things abundantly.

And as soon as the commandment H1697 came abroad, H6555 (QalInf) the children H1121 of Israel H3478 brought H935 (HiphPerf) in abundance H7235 (HiphPerf) the firstfruits H7225 of corn, H1715 wine, H8492 and oil, H3323 and honey, H1706 and of all the increase H8393 of the field; H7704 and the tithe H4643 of all [things] brought H935 (HiphPerf) they in abundantly. and at the spreading forth of the thing have the sons of Israel multiplied the first-fruit of corn, new wine, and oil, and honey, and of all the increase of the field, and the tithe of the whole in abundance they have brought in.

The children of Israel and Judah, who lived in the cities of Judah, also brought in the tithe of cattle and sheep, and the tithe of dedicated things which were consecrated to Yahweh their God, and laid them in heaps.

And [concerning] the children H1121 of Israel H3478 and Judah, H3063 that dwelt H3427 (QalActPtc) in the cities H5892 of Judah, H3063 they also brought in H935 (HiphPerf) the tithe H4643 of oxen H1241 and sheep, H6629 and the tithe H4643 of holy things H6944 which were consecrated H6942 (PualPtc) unto the Lord H3068 their God, H430 and laid H5414 (QalImpf) [them] by heaps. H6194 H6194

And the sons of Israel and Judah, those dwelling in cities of Judah, they also a tithe of herd and flock, and a tithe of the holy things that are sanctified to Jehovah their God, have brought in, and they give-heaps, heaps;

When Hezekiah and the princes came and saw the heaps, they blessed Yahweh and his people Israel.

And when Hezekiah H3169 and the princes H8269 came H935 (QalImpf) and saw H7200 (QalImpf) the heaps, H6194 they blessed H1288 (PielImpf) the Lord, H3068 and his people H5971 Israel. H3478

And Hezekiah and the heads come in and see the heaps, and bless Jehovah and His people Israel,

Azariah the chief priest, of the house of Zadok, answered him and said, “Since people began to bring the offerings into Yahweh’s house, we have eaten and had enough, and have plenty left over, for Yahweh has blessed his people; and that which is left is this great store.”

And Azariah H5838 the chief H7218 priest H3548 of the house H1004 of Zadok H6659 answered H559 (QalImpf) him, and said, H559 (QalImpf) Since [the people] began H2490 (HiphInf) to bring H935 (HiphInf) the offerings H8641 into the house H1004 of the Lord, H3068 we have had enough H7646 (QalInf) to eat, H398 (QalInf) and have left H3498 (HiphInf) plenty: H7230 for the Lord H3068 hath blessed H1288 (PielPerf) his people; H5971 and that which is left H3498 (NiphPtc) [is] this great store. H1995

and Azariah the head priest, of the house of Zadok, speaketh unto him, and saith, ‘From the beginning of the bringing of the heave-offering to the house of Jehovah, there is to eat, and to be satisfied, and to leave abundantly, for Jehovah hath blessed His people, and that left is this store.’

They brought in the offerings, the tithes, and the dedicated things faithfully. Conaniah the Levite was ruler over them, and Shimei his brother was second.

And brought in H935 (HiphImpf) the offerings H8641 and the tithes H4643 and the dedicated H6944 [things] faithfully: H530 over which Cononiah H3562 the Levite H3881 [was] ruler, H5057 and Shimei H8096 his brother H251 [was] the next. H4932

and they bring in the heave-offering, and the tithe, and the holy things faithfully; and over them is a leader, Conaniah the Levite, and Shimei his brother is second;

in addition to those who were listed by genealogy of males, from three years old and upward, even everyone who entered into Yahweh’s house, as the duty of every day required, for their service in their offices according to their divisions;

Beside their genealogy H3187 (HithInf) of males, H2145 from three H7969 years H8141 old H1121 and upward, H4605 [even] unto every one that entereth H935 (QalActPtc) into the house H1004 of the Lord, H3068 his daily H3117 H3117 portion H1697 for their service H5656 in their charges H4931 according to their courses; H4256

apart from their genealogy, to males from a son of three years and upward, to every one who hath gone in to the house of Jehovah, by the matter of a day in its day, for their service in their charges, according to their courses;

After these things and this faithfulness, Sennacherib king of Assyria came, entered into Judah, encamped against the fortified cities, and intended to win them for himself.

After H310 these things, H1697 and the establishment H571 thereof, Sennacherib H5576 king H4428 of Assyria H804 came, H935 (QalPerf) and entered H935 (QalImpf) into Judah, H3063 and encamped H2583 (QalImpf) against the fenced H1219 (QalPasPtc) cities, H5892 and thought H559 (QalImpf) to win H1234 (QalInf) them for himself.

After these things and this truth, come hath Sennacherib king of Asshur, yea, he cometh in to Judah, and encampeth against the cities of the bulwarks, and saith to rend them unto himself.

When Hezekiah saw that Sennacherib had come, and that he was planning to fight against Jerusalem,

And when Hezekiah H3169 saw H7200 (QalImpf) that Sennacherib H5576 was come, H935 (QalPerf) and that he was purposed H6440 to fight H4421 against Jerusalem, H3389

And Hezekiah seeth that Sennacherib hath come, and his face is to the battle against Jerusalem,

Then many people gathered together and they stopped all the springs and the brook that flowed through the middle of the land, saying, “Why should the kings of Assyria come, and find abundant water?”

So there was gathered H6908 much H7227 people H5971 together, H6908 (NiphImpf) who stopped H5640 (QalImpf) all the fountains, H4599 and the brook H5158 that ran H7857 (QalActPtc) through the midst H8432 of the land, H776 saying, H559 (QalInf) Why should the kings H4428 of Assyria H804 come, H935 (QalImpf) and find H4672 (QalPerf) much H7227 water? H4325

and much people are gathered, and they stop all the fountains and the brook that is rushing into the midst of the land, saying, ‘Why do the kings of Asshur come, and have found much water?’

Yahweh sent an angel, who cut off all the mighty men of valor, the leaders, and captains in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame of face to his own land. When he had come into the house of his god, those who came out of his own body° killed him there with the sword.

And the Lord H3068 sent H7971 (QalImpf) an angel, H4397 which cut off H3582 (HiphImpf) all the mighty men H1368 of valour, H2428 and the leaders H5057 and captains H8269 in the camp H4264 of the king H4428 of Assyria. H804 So he returned H7725 (QalImpf) with shame H1322 of face H6440 to his own land. H776 And when he was come H935 (QalImpf) into the house H1004 of his god, H430 they that came forth H3329 of his own bowels H4578 slew H5307 (HiphPerf) him there with the sword. H2719

and Jehovah sendeth a messenger, and cutteth off every mighty one of valour-both leader and head-in the camp of the king of Asshur, and he turneth back with shame of face to his land, and entereth the house of his god, and those coming out of his bowels have caused him to fall there by the sword.

Many brought gifts to Yahweh to Jerusalem, and precious things to Hezekiah king of Judah, so that he was exalted in the sight of all nations from then on.

And many H7227 brought H935 (HiphPtc) gifts H4503 unto the Lord H3068 to Jerusalem, H3389 and presents H4030 to Hezekiah H3169 king H4428 of Judah: H3063 so that he was magnified H5375 (NiphImpf) in the sight H5869 of all nations H1471 from thenceforth. H310

and many are bringing in an offering to Jehovah, to Jerusalem, and precious things to Hezekiah king of Judah, and he is lifted up before the eyes of all the nations after this.

However, Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that Yahweh’s wrath didn’t come on them in the days of Hezekiah.

Notwithstanding Hezekiah H3169 humbled H3665 (NiphImpf) himself for the pride H1363 of his heart, H3820 [both] he and the inhabitants H3427 (QalActPtc) of Jerusalem, H3389 so that the wrath H7110 of the Lord H3068 came H935 (QalPerf) not upon them in the days H3117 of Hezekiah. H3169

and Hezekiah is humbled for the loftiness of his heart, he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the wrath of Jehovah hath not come upon them in the days of Hezekiah.

Therefore Yahweh brought on them the captains of the army of the king of Assyria, who took Manasseh in chains, bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon.

Wherefore the Lord H3068 brought H935 (HiphImpf) upon them the captains of H8269 the host of H6635 the king H4428 of Assyria, H804 which took H3920 (QalImpf) Manasseh H4519 among the thorns, H2336 and bound him H631 (QalImpf) with fetters, H5178 and carried H3212 (HiphImpf) him to Babylon. H894

and Jehovah bringeth in against them the heads of the host that the king of Asshur hath, and they capture Manasseh among the thickets, and bind him with brazen fetters, and cause him to go to Babylon.

Now after this, he built an outer wall to David’s city on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, even to the entrance at the fish gate. He encircled Ophel with it, and raised it up to a very great height; and he put valiant captains in all the fortified cities of Judah.

Now after this H310 he built H1129 (QalPerf) a wall H2346 without H2435 the city H5892 of David, H1732 on the west side H4628 of Gihon, H1521 in the valley, H5158 even to the entering in H935 (QalInf) at the fish H1709 gate, H8179 and compassed H5437 (QalPerf) about Ophel, H6077 and raised it up H1361 (HiphImpf) a very great height, H3966 and put H7760 (QalImpf) captains H8269 of war H2428 in all the fenced H1219 (QalPasPtc) cities H5892 of Judah. And after this he hath built an outer wall to the city of David, on the west of Gihon, in the valley, and at the entering in at the fish-gate, and it hath gone round to the tower, and he maketh it exceeding high, and he putteth heads of the force in all the cities of the bulwarks in Judah.

They came to Hilkiah the high priest and delivered the money that was brought into God’s house, which the Levites, the keepers of the threshold, had gathered from the hands of Manasseh, Ephraim, of all the remnant of Israel, of all Judah and Benjamin, and of the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

And when they came H935 (QalImpf) to Hilkiah H2518 the high H1419 priest, H3548 they delivered H5414 (QalImpf) the money H3701 that was brought H935 (HophPtc) into the house H1004 of God, H430 which the Levites H3881 that kept H8104 (QalActPtc) the doors H5592 had gathered H622 (QalPerf) of the hand H3027 of Manasseh H4519 and Ephraim, H669 and of all the remnant H7611 of Israel, H3478 and of all Judah H3063 and Benjamin; H1144 and they returned H7725 (QalImpf) (Qere) H3427 (QalActPtc) to Jerusalem. And they come in unto Hilkiah the high priest, and they give the money that is brought in to the house of God, that the Levites, keeping the threshold, have gathered from the hand of Manasseh, and Ephraim, and from all the remnant of Israel, and from all Judah, and Benjamin, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem,

When they brought out the money that was brought into Yahweh’s house, Hilkiah the priest found the book of Yahweh’s law given by Moses.

And when they brought out H3318 (HiphInf) the money H3701 that was brought into H935 (HophPtc) the house H1004 of the Lord, H3068 Hilkiah H2518 the priest H3548 found H4672 (QalPerf) a book H5612 of the law H8451 of the Lord H3068 [given] by H3027 Moses. H4872

And in their bringing out the money that is brought in to the house of Jehovah, hath Hilkiah the priest found the book of the law of Jehovah by the hand of Moses,

Shaphan carried the book to the king, and moreover brought back word to the king, saying, “All that was committed to your servants, they are doing.

And Shaphan H8227 carried H935 (HiphImpf) the book H5612 to the king, H4428 and brought H7725 the king H4428 word H1697 back H7725 (HiphImpf) again, saying, H559 (QalInf) All that was committed H5414 (NiphPerf) to H3027 thy servants, H5650 they do H6213 (QalActPtc) [it].

and Shaphan bringeth in the book unto the king, and bringeth the king back word again, saying, ‘All that hath been given into the hand of thy servants they are doing,

“Yahweh says, ‘Behold, I will bring evil on this place and on its inhabitants, even all the curses that are written in the book which they have read before the king of Judah.

Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord, H3068 Behold, I will bring H935 (HiphPtc) evil H7451 upon this place, H4725 and upon the inhabitants H3427 (QalActPtc) thereof, [even] all the curses H423 that are written H3789 (QalPasPtc) in the book H5612 which they have read H7121 (QalPerf) before H6440 the king H4428 of Judah: H3063

Thus said Jehovah, Lo, I am bringing in evil on this place, and on its inhabitants, all the execrations that are written on the book that they read before the king of Judah;

“Behold, I will gather you to your fathers, and you will be gathered to your grave in peace. Your eyes won’t see all the evil that I will bring on this place and on its inhabitants.” ’ ” They brought back this message to the king.

Behold, I will gather H622 (QalActPtc) thee to thy fathers, H1 and thou shalt be gathered H622 (NiphPerf) to thy grave H6913 in peace, H7965 neither shall thine eyes H5869 see H7200 (QalImpf) all the evil H7451 that I will bring H935 (HiphPtc) upon this place, H4725 and upon the inhabitants H3427 (QalActPtc) of the same. So they brought H7725 the king H4428 word H1697 again. H7725 (HiphImpf)

Lo, I am gathering thee unto thy fathers, and thou hast been gathered unto thy graves in peace, and thine eyes do not look on all the evil that I am bringing upon this place, and upon its inhabitants;’ and they bring the king back word.

Nevertheless Josiah would not turn his face from him, but disguised himself, that he might fight with him, and didn’t listen to the words of Neco from the mouth of God, and came to fight in the valley of Megiddo.

Nevertheless Josiah H2977 would not turn H5437 (HiphPerf) his face H6440 from him, but disguised H2664 (HithPerf) himself, that he might fight H3898 (NiphInf) with him, and hearkened H8085 (QalPerf) not unto the words H1697 of Necho H5224 from the mouth H6310 of God, H430 and came H935 (QalImpf) to fight H3898 (NiphInf) in the valley H1237 of Megiddo. H4023

And Josiah hath not turned round his face from him, but to fight against him hath disguised himself, and hath not hearkened unto the words of Necho, from the mouth of God, and cometh in to fight in the valley of Megiddo;

The king of Egypt made Eliakim his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem, and changed his name to Jehoiakim. Neco took Joahaz his brother, and carried him to Egypt.

And the king H4428 of Egypt H4714 made Eliakim H471 his brother H251 king H4427 (HiphImpf) over Judah H3063 and Jerusalem, H3389 and turned H5437 (HiphImpf) his name H8034 to Jehoiakim. H3079 And Necho H5224 took H3947 (QalPerf) Jehoahaz H3099 his brother, H251 and carried H935 (HiphImpf) him to Egypt. H4714

and the king of Egypt causeth Eliakim his brother to reign over Judah and Jerusalem, and turneth his name to Jehoiakim; and Jehoahaz his brother hath Necho taken, and bringeth him in to Egypt.

Nebuchadnezzar also carried some of the vessels of Yahweh’s house to Babylon, and put them in his temple at Babylon.

Nebuchadnezzar H5019 also carried H935 (HiphPerf) of the vessels H3627 of the house H1004 of the Lord H3068 to Babylon, H894 and put H5414 (QalImpf) them in his temple H1964 at Babylon. H894

And of the vessels of the house of Jehovah hath Nebuchadnezzar brought in to Babylon, and putteth them in his temple in Babylon.

At the return of the year, King Nebuchadnezzar sent and brought him to Babylon, with the valuable vessels of Yahweh’s house, and made Zedekiah his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem.

And when the year H8141 was expired, H8666 king H4428 Nebuchadnezzar H5019 sent, H7971 (QalPerf) and brought H935 (HiphImpf) him to Babylon, H894 with the goodly H2532 vessels H3627 of the house H1004 of the Lord, H3068 and made Zedekiah H6667 his brother H251 king H4427 (HiphImpf) over Judah H3063 and Jerusalem. and at the turn of the year hath king Nebuchadnezzar sent and bringeth him in to Babylon, with the desirable vessels of the house of Jehovah, and causeth Zedekiah his brother to reign over Judah and Jerusalem.

All the vessels of God’s house, great and small, and the treasures of Yahweh’s house, and the treasures of the king and of his princes, all these he brought to Babylon.

Some of the heads of fathers’ households, when they came to Yahweh’s house which is in Jerusalem, offered willingly for God’s house to set it up in its place.

They also gave money to the masons and to the carpenters. They also gave food, drink, and oil to the people of Sidon and Tyre to bring cedar trees from Lebanon to the sea, to Joppa, according to the grant that they had from Cyrus King of Persia.

and they give money to hewers and to artificers, and food, and drink, and oil to Zidonians and to Tyrians, to bring in cedar-trees from Lebanon unto the sea of Joppa, according to the permission of Cyrus king of Persia concerning them.

Now in the second year of their coming to God’s house at Jerusalem, in the second month, Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and the rest of their brothers the priests and the Levites, and all those who had come out of the captivity to Jerusalem, began the work and appointed the Levites, from twenty years old and upward, to have the oversight of the work of Yahweh’s house.

According to the good hand of our God on us they brought us a man of discretion, of the sons of Mahli, the son of Levi, the son of Israel, namely Sherebiah, with his sons and his brothers, eighteen;

And by the good H2896 hand H3027 of our God H430 upon us they brought H935 (HiphImpf) us a man H376 of understanding, H7922 of the sons H1121 of Mahli, H4249 the son H1121 of Levi, H3878 the son H1121 of Israel; H3478 and Sherebiah, H8274 with his sons H1121 and his brethren, H251 eighteen; H8083 H6240

And they bring to us, according to the good hand of our God upon us, a man of understanding, of the sons of Mahli, son of Levi, son of Israel, and Sherebiah, and his sons, and his brethren, eighteen;

So the priests and the Levites received the weight of the silver, the gold, and the vessels, to bring them to Jerusalem to the house of our God.

We came to Jerusalem, and stayed there three days.

The children of the captivity, who had come out of exile, offered burnt offerings to the God of Israel: twelve bulls for all Israel, ninety-six rams, seventy-seven lambs, and twelve male goats for a sin offering. All this was a burnt offering to Yahweh.

which you have commanded by your servants the prophets, saying, ‘The land to which you go to possess is an unclean land through the uncleanness of the peoples of the lands, through their abominations, which have filled it from one end to another with their filthiness.

and that whoever didn’t come within three days, according to the counsel of the princes and the elders, all his possessions should be forfeited, and he himself separated from the assembly of the captivity.

And that whosoever would not come H935 (QalImpf) within three H7969 days, H3117 according to the counsel H6098 of the princes H8269 and the elders, H2205 all his substance H7399 should be forfeited, H2763 (HophImpf) and himself separated H914 (NiphImpf) from the congregation H6951 of those that had been carried away. and every one who cometh not in by the third day, according to the counsel of the heads and of the elders, all his substance is devoted, and himself separated from the assembly of the removal.
