Yahweh gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him. There was peace between Hiram and Solomon, and the two of them made a treaty together.

Therefore Yahweh said to Solomon, “Because this is done by you, and you have not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded you, I will surely tear the kingdom from you, and will give it to your servant.

και ειπεν κυριος προς σαλωμων ανθ ων εγενετο ταυτα μετα σου και ουκ εφυλαξας τας εντολας μου και τα προσταγματα μου α ενετειλαμην σοι διαρρησσων διαρρηξω την βασιλειαν σου εκ χειρος σου και δωσω αυτην τω δουλω σου

“Let there be a treaty between me and you, like that between my father and your father. Behold, I have sent to you a present of silver and gold. Go, break your treaty with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.”

διαθου διαθηκην ανα μεσον εμου και ανα μεσον σου και ανα μεσον του πατρος μου και του πατρος σου ιδου εξαπεσταλκα σοι δωρα αργυριον και χρυσιον δευρο διασκεδασον την διαθηκην σου την προς βαασα βασιλεα ισραηλ και αναβησεται απ εμου

He said, “I have been very jealous for Yahweh, the God of Armies; for the children of Israel have forsaken your covenant, thrown down your altars, and killed your prophets with the sword. I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.”

και ειπεν ηλιου ζηλων εζηλωκα τω κυριω παντοκρατορι οτι εγκατελιπον σε οι υιοι ισραηλ τα θυσιαστηρια σου κατεσκαψαν και τους προφητας σου απεκτειναν εν ρομφαια και υπολελειμμαι εγω μονωτατος και ζητουσι την ψυχην μου λαβειν αυτην

He said, “I have been very jealous for Yahweh, the God of Armies; for the children of Israel have forsaken your covenant, thrown down your altars, and killed your prophets with the sword. I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.”

Jehoiada made a covenant between Yahweh and the king and the people, that they should be Yahweh’s people; also between the king and the people.

But Yahweh was gracious to them, and had compassion on them, and favored them because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them and he didn’t cast them from his presence as yet.

with whom Yahweh had made a covenant and commanded them, saying, “You shall not fear other gods, nor bow yourselves to them, nor serve them, nor sacrifice to them;

και διεθετο κυριος μετ αυτων διαθηκην και ενετειλατο αυτοις λεγων ου φοβηθησεσθε θεους ετερους και ου προσκυνησετε αυτοις και ου λατρευσετε αυτοις και ου θυσιασετε αυτοις

You shall not forget the covenant that I have made with you. You shall not fear other gods.

And the covenant H1285 that I have made H3772 (QalPerf) with you ye shall not forget; H7911 (QalImpf) neither shall ye fear H3372 (QalImpf) other H312 gods. H430

και την διαθηκην ην διεθετο μεθ υμων ουκ επιλησεσθε και ου φοβηθησεσθε θεους ετερους

because they didn’t obey Yahweh their God’s voice, but transgressed his covenant, even all that Moses the servant of Yahweh commanded, and would not hear it or do it.

Because they obeyed H8085 (QalPerf) not the voice H6963 of the Lord H3068 their God, H430 but transgressed H5674 (QalImpf) his covenant, H1285 [and] all that Moses H4872 the servant H5650 of the Lord H3068 commanded, H6680 (PielPerf) and would not hear H8085 (QalPerf) [them], nor do H6213 (QalPerf) [them].

ανθ ων οτι ουκ ηκουσαν της φωνης κυριου θεου αυτων και παρεβησαν την διαθηκην αυτου παντα οσα ενετειλατο μωυσης ο δουλος κυριου και ουκ ηκουσαν και ουκ εποιησαν

The king went up to Yahweh’s house, and all the men of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem with him—with the priests, the prophets, and all the people, both small and great; and he read in their hearing all the words of the book of the covenant which was found in Yahweh’s house.

και ανεβη ο βασιλευς εις οικον κυριου και πας ανηρ ιουδα και παντες οι κατοικουντες εν ιερουσαλημ μετ αυτου και οι ιερεις και οι προφηται και πας ο λαος απο μικρου και εως μεγαλου και ανεγνω εν ωσιν αυτων παντας τους λογους του βιβλιου της διαθηκης του ευρεθεντος εν οικω κυριου

The king stood by the pillar and made a covenant before Yahweh to walk after Yahweh and to keep his commandments, his testimonies, and his statutes with all his heart and all his soul, to confirm the words of this covenant that were written in this book; and all the people agreed to the covenant.

και εστη ο βασιλευς προς τον στυλον και διεθετο διαθηκην ενωπιον κυριου του πορευεσθαι οπισω κυριου και του φυλασσειν τας εντολας αυτου και τα μαρτυρια αυτου και τα δικαιωματα αυτου εν παση καρδια και εν παση ψυχη του αναστησαι τους λογους της διαθηκης ταυτης τα γεγραμμενα επι το βιβλιον τουτο και εστη πας ο λαος εν τη διαθηκη

The king commanded all the people, saying, “Keep the Passover to Yahweh your God, as it is written in this book of the covenant.”

και ενετειλατο ο βασιλευς παντι τω λαω λεγων ποιησατε το πασχα τω κυριω θεω ημων καθως γεγραπται επι βιβλιου της διαθηκης ταυτης

So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before Yahweh. They anointed David king over Israel, according to Yahweh’s word by Samuel.

So David, the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands went to bring the ark of Yahweh’s covenant up out of the house of Obed-Edom with joy.

When God helped the Levites who bore the ark of Yahweh’s covenant, they sacrificed seven bulls and seven rams.

with Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually, before the ark of the covenant of God.

When David was living in his house, David said to Nathan the prophet, “Behold, I live in a cedar house, but the ark of Yahweh’s covenant is in a tent.”

Now set your heart and your soul to follow Yahweh your God. Arise therefore, and build the sanctuary of Yahweh God, to bring the ark of Yahweh’s covenant and the holy vessels of God into the house that is to be built for Yahweh’s name.”

Then David the king stood up on his feet and said, “Hear me, my brothers and my people! As for me, it was in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of Yahweh’s covenant, and for the footstool of our God; and I had prepared for the building.

και εστη δαυιδ εν μεσω της εκκλησιας και ειπεν ακουσατε μου αδελφοι και λαος μου εμοι εγενετο επι καρδιαν οικοδομησαι οικον αναπαυσεως της κιβωτου διαθηκης κυριου και στασιν ποδων κυριου ημων και ητοιμασα τα εις την κατασκηνωσιν επιτηδεια

and for the altar of incense, refined gold by weight; and gold for the plans for the chariot, and the cherubim that spread out and cover the ark of Yahweh’s covenant.
