Behold,^§ at that time I will deal with all those who afflict you; and I will save those who are lame and gather those who were driven away. I will give them praise and honor, whose shame has been in all the earth.

Zephaniah 3:19 “Behold”, from “הִנֵּה”, means look at, take notice, observe, see, or gaze at. It is often used as an interjection.

“but I will scatter them with a whirlwind among all the nations which they have not known. Thus the land was desolate after them, so that no man passed through nor returned; for they made the pleasant land desolate.”

A revelation of Yahweh’s word concerning Israel: Yahweh, who stretches out the heavens and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him says:

The burden H4853 of the word H1697 of the Lord H3068 for Israel, H3478 saith H5002 (QalPasPtc) the Lord, H3068 which stretcheth H5186 (QalActPtc) forth the heavens, H8064 and layeth the foundation H3245 (QalPtc) of the earth, H776 and formeth H3335 (QalActPtc) the spirit H7307 of man H120 within H7130 him.

λημμα λογου κυριου επι τον ισραηλ λεγει κυριος εκτεινων ουρανον και θεμελιων γην και πλασσων πνευμα ανθρωπου εν αυτω

It will happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all the peoples. All who burden themselves with it will be severely wounded, and all the nations of the earth will be gathered together against it.

And in that day H3117 will I make H7760 (QalImpf) Jerusalem H3389 a burdensome H4614 stone H68 for all people: H5971 all that burden H6006 (QalActPtc) themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, H8295 (QalInf) H8295 (NiphImpf) though all the people H1471 of the earth H776 be gathered together H622 (NiphPerf) against it.

και εσται εν τη ημερα εκεινη θησομαι την ιερουσαλημ λιθον καταπατουμενον πασιν τοις εθνεσιν πας ο καταπατων αυτην εμπαιζων εμπαιξεται και επισυναχθησονται επ αυτην παντα τα εθνη της γης

The land will mourn, every family apart; the family of David’s house apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;

It will come to pass in that day, says Yahweh of Armies, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they will be remembered no more. I will also cause the prophets and the spirit of impurity to pass out of the land.

And it shall come to pass in that day, H3117 saith H5002 (QalPasPtc) the Lord H3068 of hosts, H6635 that I will cut off H3772 (HiphImpf) the names H8034 of the idols H6091 out of the land, H776 and they shall no more be remembered: H2142 (NiphImpf) and also I will cause the prophets H5030 and the unclean H2932 spirit H7307 to pass H5674 (HiphImpf) out of the land. και εσται εν τη ημερα εκεινη λεγει κυριος εξολεθρευσω τα ονοματα των ειδωλων απο της γης και ουκετι εσται αυτων μνεια και τους ψευδοπροφητας και το πνευμα το ακαθαρτον εξαρω απο της γης

It shall happen that in all the land,” says Yahweh, “two parts in it will be cut off and die; but the third will be left in it.

And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, H776 saith H5002 (QalPasPtc) the Lord, H3068 two H8147 parts H6310 therein shall be cut off H3772 (NiphImpf) and die; H1478 (QalImpf) but the third H7992 shall be left H3498 (NiphImpf) therein.

και εσται εν παση τη γη λεγει κυριος τα δυο μερη εξολεθρευθησεται και εκλειψει το δε τριτον υπολειφθησεται εν αυτη

Yahweh will be King over all the earth. In that day Yahweh will be one, and his name one.

And the Lord H3068 shall be king H4428 over all the earth: H776 in that day H3117 shall there be one H259 Lord, H3068 and his name H8034 one. H259

και εσται κυριος εις βασιλεα επι πασαν την γην εν τη ημερα εκεινη εσται κυριος εις και το ονομα αυτου εν

All the land will be made like the Arabah, from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem; and she will be lifted up and will dwell in her place, from Benjamin’s gate to the place of the first gate, to the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananel to the king’s wine presses.

All the land H776 shall be turned^§ H5437 (NiphImpf) as a plain H6160 from Geba H1387 to Rimmon H7417 south H5045 of Jerusalem: H3389 and it shall be lifted up, H7213 (QalPerf) and inhabited^§ H3427 (QalPerf) in her place, from Benjamin’s H1144 gate H8179 unto the place H4725 of the first H7223 gate, H8179 unto the corner H6434 gate, H8179 and from the tower H4026 of Hananeel H2606 unto the king’s H4428 winepresses. κυκλων πασαν την γην και την ερημον απο γαβε εως ρεμμων κατα νοτον ιερουσαλημ ραμα δε επι τοπου μενει απο της πυλης βενιαμιν εως του τοπου της πυλης της πρωτης εως της πυλης των γωνιων και εως του πυργου ανανεηλ εως των υποληνιων του βασιλεως

It will be that whoever of all the families of the earth doesn’t go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, Yahweh of Armies, on them there will be no rain.

And it shall be, that whoso will not come up H5927 (QalImpf) of all the families H4940 of the earth H776 unto Jerusalem H3389 to worship H7812 (HithInf) the King, H4428 the Lord H3068 of hosts, H6635 even upon them shall be no rain. H1653

και εσται οσοι εαν μη αναβωσιν εκ πασων των φυλων της γης εις ιερουσαλημ του προσκυνησαι τω βασιλει κυριω παντοκρατορι και ουτοι εκεινοις προστεθησονται

“All nations shall call you blessed, for you will be a delightful land,” says Yahweh of Armies.

και μακαριουσιν υμας παντα τα εθνη διοτι εσεσθε υμεις γη θελητη λεγει κυριος παντοκρατωρ

He will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”
