“Command the children of Israel to give to the Levites cities to dwell in out of their inheritance. You shall give pasture lands for the cities around them to the Levites.

συνταξον τοις υιοις ισραηλ και δωσουσιν τοις λευιταις απο των κληρων κατασχεσεως αυτων πολεις κατοικειν και τα προαστεια των πολεων κυκλω αυτων δωσουσιν τοις λευιταις

“The pasture lands of the cities, which you shall give to the Levites, shall be from the wall of the city and outward one thousand cubits° around it.

The cities which you shall give shall be for you six cities of refuge.

They took some of the fruit of the land in their hands and brought it down to us, and brought us word again, and said, “It is a good land which Yahweh our God gives to us.”

“Surely not one of these men of this evil generation shall see the good land which I swore to give to your fathers,

και ουκ ηθελησεν σηων βασιλευς εσεβων παρελθειν ημας δι αυτου οτι εσκληρυνεν κυριος ο θεος ημων το πνευμα αυτου και κατισχυσεν την καρδιαν αυτου ινα παραδοθη εις τας χειρας σου ως εν τη ημερα ταυτη

Yahweh said to me, “Behold, I have begun to deliver up Sihon and his land before you. Begin to possess, that you may inherit his land.”

And the Lord H3068 said H559 (QalImpf) unto me, Behold, H7200 (QalImpv) I have begun H2490 (HiphPerf) to give H5414 (QalInf) Sihon H5511 and his land H776 before H6440 thee: begin H2490 (HiphImpv) to possess, H3423 (QalImpv) that thou mayest inherit H3423 (QalInf) his land. H776

και ειπεν κυριος προς με ιδου ηργμαι παραδουναι προ προσωπου σου τον σηων βασιλεα εσεβων τον αμορραιον και την γην αυτου εναρξαι κληρονομησαι την γην αυτου

Yahweh our God delivered him up before us; and we struck him, his sons, and all his people.

And the Lord H3068 our God H430 delivered H5414 (QalImpf) him before H6440 us; and we smote H5221 (HiphImpf) him, and his sons, H1121 and all his people. H5971

From Aroer, which is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, and the city that is in the valley, even to Gilead, there was not a city too high for us. Yahweh our God delivered up all before us.

εξ αροηρ η εστιν παρα το χειλος χειμαρρου αρνων και την πολιν την ουσαν εν τη φαραγγι και εως ορους του γαλααδ ουκ εγενηθη πολις ητις διεφυγεν ημας τας πασας παρεδωκεν κυριος ο θεος ημων εις τας χειρας ημων

Yahweh said to me, “Don’t fear him; for I have delivered him, with all his people and his land, into your hand. You shall do to him as you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived at Heshbon.”

And the Lord H3068 said H559 (QalImpf) unto me, Fear H3372 (QalImpf) him not: for I will deliver H5414 (QalPerf) him, and all his people, H5971 and his land, H776 into thy hand; H3027 and thou shalt do H6213 (QalPerf) unto him as thou didst H6213 (QalPerf) unto Sihon H5511 king H4428 of the Amorites, H567 which dwelt H3427 (QalActPtc) at Heshbon. So Yahweh our God also delivered into our hand Og, the king of Bashan, and all his people. We struck him until no one was left to him remaining.

This land we took in possession at that time: from Aroer, which is by the valley of the Arnon, and half the hill country of Gilead with its cities, I gave to the Reubenites and to the Gadites;

And this land, H776 which we possessed H3423 (QalPerf) at that time, H6256 from Aroer, H6177 which is by the river H5158 Arnon, H769 and half H2677 mount H2022 Gilead, H1568 and the cities H5892 thereof, gave H5414 (QalPerf) I unto the Reubenites H7206 and to the Gadites. H1425

But as for you, stand here by me, and I will tell you all the commandments, and the statutes, and the ordinances, which you shall teach them, that they may do them in the land which I give them to possess.”
