This was their ordering in their service, to come into Yahweh’s house according to the ordinance given to them by Aaron their father, as Yahweh, the God of Israel, had commanded him.

These are their appointments for their service, to come in to the house of Jehovah, according to their ordinance by the hand of Aaron their father, as Jehovah God of Israel, commanded them.

of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, and Asharelah. The sons of Asaph were under the hand of Asaph, who prophesied at the order of the king.

Of the sons H1121 of Asaph; H623 Zaccur, H2139 and Joseph, H3130 and Nethaniah, H5418 and Asarelah, H841 the sons H1121 of Asaph H623 under the hands H3027 of Asaph, H623 which prophesied H5012 (NiphPerf) according to the order H3027 of the king. H4428

Of sons of Asaph: Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asharelah, sons of Asaph, are by the side of Asaph, who is prophesying by the side of the king.

Of Jeduthun, the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Shimei, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied in giving thanks and praising Yahweh with the harp.

Of Jeduthun: H3038 the sons H1121 of Jeduthun; H3038 Gedaliah, H1436 and Zeri, H6874 and Jeshaiah, H3470 Hashabiah, H2811 and Mattithiah, H4993 six, H8337 under the hands H3027 of their father H1 Jeduthun, H3038 who prophesied H5012 (NiphPerf) with a harp, H3658 to give thanks H3034 (HiphInf) and to praise H1984 (PielInf) the Lord. Of Jeduthun: sons of Jeduthun, Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, Shisshah, are by the side of their father Jeduthun; with a harp he is prophesying, for giving of thanks and of praise to Jehovah.

All these were under the hands of their father for song in Yahweh’s house, with cymbals, stringed instruments, and harps, for the service of God’s house: Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman being under the order of the king.

All these [were] under the hands H3027 of their father H1 for song H7892 [in] the house H1004 of the Lord, H3068 with cymbals, H4700 psalteries, H5035 and harps, H3658 for the service H5656 of the house H1004 of God, H430 according to the king’s H4428 order H3027 to Asaph, H623 Jeduthun, H3038 and Heman. All these are by the side of their father in the song of the house of Jehovah, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the service of the house of God; by the side of the king are Asaph, and Jeduthun, and Heman.

All that Samuel the seer, Saul the son of Kish, Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah had dedicated, whoever had dedicated anything, it was under the hand of Shelomoth and of his brothers.

And all that Samuel H8050 the seer, H7200 (QalActPtc) and Saul H7586 the son H1121 of Kish, H7027 and Abner H74 the son H1121 of Ner, H5369 and Joab H3097 the son H1121 of Zeruiah, H6870 had dedicated; H6942 (HiphPerf) [and] whosoever had dedicated H6942 (HiphPtc) [any thing, it was] under the hand H3027 of Shelomith, H8019 and of his brethren. and all that Samuel the seer, and Saul son of Kish, and Abner son of Ner, and Joab son of Zeruiah sanctified, every one sanctifying any thing-it is by the side of Shelomith and his brethren.

“All this”, David said, “I have been made to understand in writing from Yahweh’s hand, even all the works of this pattern.”

All [this, said David], the Lord H3068 made me understand H7919 (HiphPerf) in writing H3791 by [his] hand H3027 upon me, [even] all the works H4399 of this pattern. H8403

The whole is in writing from the hand of Jehovah, ‘He caused me to understand all the work of the pattern,’ said David.

of gold for the things of gold, and of silver for the things of silver, and for all kinds of work to be made by the hands of artisans. Who then offers willingly to consecrate himself today to Yahweh?”

even gold for things of gold, and silver for those of silver, and for all the work by the hand of artificers; and who is he that is offering willingly to consecrate his hand to-day to Jehovah?’

People with whom precious stones were found gave them to the treasure of Yahweh’s house, under the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.

and he with whom stones are found hath given to the treasury of the house of Jehovah, by the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.

Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all! In your hand is power and might! It is in your hand to make great, and to give strength to all!

Both riches H6239 and honour H3519 [come] of thee, H6440 and thou reignest H4910 (QalActPtc) over all; and in thine hand H3027 [is] power H3581 and might; H1369 and in thine hand H3027 [it is] to make great, H1431 (PielInf) and to give strength H2388 (PielInf) unto all.

and the riches, and the honour are from before Thee, and Thou art ruling over all, and in Thy hand is power and might, and in Thy hand, to make great, and to give strength to all.

But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly as this? For all things come from you, and we have given you of your own.

But who [am] I, and what [is] my people, H5971 that we should be H6113 (QalImpf) able H3581 to offer so willingly H5068 (HithInf) after this sort? for all things [come] of thee, and of thine own H3027 have we given H5414 (QalPerf) thee.

yea, because, who am I, and who are my people, that we retain power to offer thus willingly? but of Thee is the whole, and out of Thy hand we have given to Thee;

Yahweh our God, all this store that we have prepared to build you a house for your holy name comes from your hand, and is all your own.

O Lord H3068 our God, H430 all this store H1995 that we have prepared H3559 (HiphPerf) to build H1129 (QalInf) thee an house H1004 for thine holy H6944 name H8034 [cometh] of thine hand, H3027 and [is] all thine own.

‘O Jehovah our God, all this store that we have prepared to build to Thee a house, for Thy holy name, is out of Thy hand, and of Thee is the whole.

All the princes, the mighty men, and also all of the sons of King David submitted themselves to Solomon the king.

and all the heads, and the mighty men, and also all the sons of king David have given a hand under Solomon the king;

They imported from Egypt then exported a chariot for six hundred pieces of silver and a horse for one hundred fifty.° They also exported them to the Hittite kings and the Syrian^§ kings.

“Moreover, concerning the foreigner, who is not of your people Israel, when he comes from a far country for your great name’s sake and your mighty hand and your outstretched arm, when they come and pray toward this house,

‘And also, unto the stranger who is not of Thy people Israel, and he hath come from a land afar off for the sake of Thy great name, and Thy strong hand, and Thy stretched-out arm, and they have come in and prayed towards this house:

The priests stood, according to their positions; the Levites also with instruments of music of Yahweh, which David the king had made to give thanks to Yahweh, when David praised by their ministry, saying “For his loving kindness endures forever.” The priests sounded trumpets before them; and all Israel stood.

And the priests over their charges are standing, and the Levites with instruments of the song of Jehovah-that David the king made, to give thanks to Jehovah, for to the age is His kindness, in David’s praising by their hand-and the priests are blowing trumpets over-against them, and all Israel are standing.

Huram sent him ships and servants who had knowledge of the sea by the hands of his servants; and they came with the servants of Solomon to Ophir, and brought from there four hundred fifty talents° of gold, and brought them to King Solomon.

and Huram sendeth to him, by the hand of his servants, ships and servants knowing the sea, and they go with servants of Solomon to Ophir, and take thence four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and bring in unto king Solomon.

There were six steps to the throne, with a footstool of gold, which were fastened to the throne, and armrests on either side by the place of the seat, and two lions standing beside the armrests.

So the king didn’t listen to the people; for it was brought about by God, that Yahweh might establish his word, which he spoke by Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam the son of Nebat.

So the king H4428 hearkened H8085 (QalPerf) not unto the people: H5971 for the cause H5252 was of God, H430 that the Lord H3068 might perform H6965 (HiphInf) his word, H1697 which he spake H1696 (PielPerf) by the hand H3027 of Ahijah H281 the Shilonite H7888 to Jeroboam H3379 the son H1121 of Nebat. And the king hath not hearkened unto the people, for the revolution hath been from God, for the sake of Jehovah’s establishing His word that He spake by the hand of Abijah the Shilonite unto Jeroboam son of Nebat.

Now Shemaiah the prophet came to Rehoboam and to the princes of Judah, who were gathered together to Jerusalem because of Shishak, and said to them, “Yahweh says, ‘You have forsaken me, therefore I have also left you in the hand of Shishak.’ ”

And Shemaiah the prophet hath come in unto Rehoboam and the heads of Judah who have been gathered unto Jerusalem from the presence of Shishak, and saith to them, ‘Thus said Jehovah, Ye have forsaken Me, and also, I have left you in the hand of Shishak;’

When Yahweh saw that they humbled themselves, Yahweh’s word came to Shemaiah, saying, “They have humbled themselves. I will not destroy them, but I will grant them some deliverance, and my wrath won’t be poured out on Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak.

And when Jehovah seeth that they have been humbled, a word of Jehovah hath been unto Shemaiah, saying, ‘They have been humbled; I do not destroy them, and I have given to them as a little thing for an escape, and I pour not out My fury in Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak;

King Rehoboam made shields of bronze in their place, and committed them to the hands of the captains of the guard, who kept the door of the king’s house.

“Now you intend to withstand the kingdom of Yahweh in the hand of the sons of David. You are a great multitude, and the golden calves which Jeroboam made you for gods are with you.

‘And now, ye are saying to strengthen yourselves before the kingdom of Jehovah in the hand of the sons of David, and ye are a numerous multitude, and with you calves of gold that Jeroboam hath made to you for gods.

Haven’t you driven out the priests of Yahweh, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites, and made priests for yourselves according to the ways of the peoples of other lands? Whoever comes to consecrate himself with a young bull and seven rams may be a priest of those who are no gods.

Have ye not cast out H5080 (HiphPerf) the priests H3548 of the Lord, H3068 the sons H1121 of Aaron, H175 and the Levites, H3881 and have made H6213 (QalImpf) you priests H3548 after the manner of the nations H5971 of [other] lands? H776 so that whosoever cometh H935 (QalActPtc) to consecrate H4390 (PielInf) H3027 himself with a young H1121 H1241 bullock H6499 and seven H7651 rams, H352 [the same] may be a priest H3548 of [them that are] no H3808 gods. H430

‘Have ye not cast out the priests of Jehovah, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites, and make to you priests like the peoples of the lands? every one who hath come to fill his hand with a bullock, a son of the herd, and seven rams, even he hath been a priest to No-gods!

The children of Israel fled before Judah, and God delivered them into their hand.

And the children H1121 of Israel H3478 fled H5127 (QalImpf) before H6440 Judah: H3063 and God H430 delivered H5414 (QalImpf) them into their hand. H3027

And the sons of Israel flee from the face of Judah, and God giveth them into their hand,

But you be strong! Don’t let your hands be slack, for your work will be rewarded.”

Be ye strong H2388 (QalImpv) therefore, and let not your hands H3027 be weak: H7503 (QalImpf) for your work H6468 shall be H3426 rewarded. H7939

and ye, be ye strong, and let not your hands be feeble, for there is a reward for your work.’

At that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said to him, “Because you have relied on the king of Syria, and have not relied on Yahweh your God, therefore the army of the king of Syria has escaped out of your hand.

And at that time H6256 Hanani H2607 the seer H7200 (QalActPtc) came H935 (QalPerf) to Asa H609 king H4428 of Judah, H3063 and said H559 (QalImpf) unto him, Because thou hast relied H8172 (NiphInf) on the king H4428 of Syria, H758 and not relied H8172 (NiphPerf) on the Lord H3068 thy God, H430 therefore is the host H2428 of the king H4428 of Syria H758 escaped H4422 (NiphPerf) out of thine hand. H3027

And at that time hath Hanani the seer come in unto Asa king of Judah, and saith unto him, ‘Because of thy leaning on the king of Aram, and thou hast not leaned on Jehovah thy God, therefore hath the force of the king of Aram escaped from thy hand.

Weren’t the Ethiopians and the Lubim a huge army, with chariots and exceedingly many horsemen? Yet, because you relied on Yahweh, he delivered them into your hand.

Were not the Ethiopians H3569 and the Lubims H3864 a huge H7230 host, H2428 with very H3966 many H7235 (HiphInf) chariots H7393 and horsemen? H6571 yet, because thou didst rely H8172 (NiphInf) on the Lord, H3068 he delivered H5414 (QalPerf) them into thine hand. H3027

Did not the Cushim and the Lubim become a very great force for multitude, for chariot, and for horsemen? and in thy leaning on Jehovah He gave them into thy hand,

Therefore Yahweh established the kingdom in his hand. All Judah brought tribute to Jehoshaphat, and he had riches and honor in abundance.

Therefore the Lord H3068 stablished H3559 (HiphImpf) the kingdom H4467 in his hand; H3027 and all Judah H3063 brought H5414 (QalImpf) to Jehoshaphat H3092 presents; H4503 and he had riches H6239 and honour H3519 in abundance. H7230

And Jehovah doth establish the kingdom in his hand, and all Judah give a present to Jehoshaphat, and he hath riches and honour in abundance,

and next to him Jehohanan the captain, and with him two hundred eighty thousand;

And at his hand is Amasiah son of Zichri, who is willingly offering himself to Jehovah, and with him two hundred chiefs, mighty of valour.

and next to him Jehozabad, and with him one hundred eighty thousand ready and prepared for war.

And next H3027 him [was] Jehozabad, H3075 and with him an hundred H3967 and fourscore H8084 thousand H505 ready prepared H2502 (QalPasPtc) for the war. H6635

And at his hand is Jehozabad, and with him a hundred and eighty chiefs, armed ones of the host.

Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, four hundred men, and said to them, “Shall we go to Ramoth Gilead to battle, or shall I forbear?” They said, “Go up, for God will deliver it into the hand of the king.”

And the king of Israel gathereth the prophets, four hundred men, and saith unto them, ‘Do we go unto Ramoth-Gilead to battle, or do I forbear?’ And they say, ‘Go up, and God doth give it into the hand of the king.’

All the prophets prophesied so, saying, “Go up to Ramoth Gilead, and prosper; for Yahweh will deliver it into the hand of the king.”

With these thou dost push Aram till thou hast consumed them.’ And all the prophets are prophesying so, saying, ‘Go up to Ramath-Gilead and prosper, and Jehovah hath given it into the hand of the king.’

When he had come to the king, the king said to him, “Micaiah, shall we go to Ramoth Gilead to battle, or shall I forbear?” He said, “Go up, and prosper. They shall be delivered into your hand.”

And he cometh in unto the king, and the king saith unto him, ‘Micaiah, do we go unto Ramoth-Gilead to battle, or do I forbear?’ And he saith, ‘Go ye up, and prosper, and they are given into your hand.’

A certain man drew his bow at random, and struck the king of Israel between the joints of the armor. Therefore he said to the driver of the chariot, “Turn around and carry me out of the battle, for I am severely wounded.”

And a man hath drawn with a bow, in his simplicity, and smiteth the king of Israel between the joinings and the coat of mail, and he saith to the charioteer, ‘Turn thy hand, and thou hast brought me out of the camp, for I have become sick.’

and he said, “Yahweh, the God of our fathers, aren’t you God in heaven? Aren’t you ruler over all the kingdoms of the nations? Power and might are in your hand, so that no one is able to withstand you.

H1471 and in thine hand H3027 [is there not] power H3581 and might, H1369 so that none is able to withstand H3320 (HithInf) thee?

and saith, ‘O Jehovah, God of our fathers, art not Thou-God in the heavens? yea, Thou art ruling over all kingdoms of the nations, and in Thy hand is power and might, and there is none with Thee to station himself.

In his days Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah, and made a king over themselves.

In his days H3117 the Edomites H123 revolted H6586 (QalPerf) from under the dominion H3027 of Judah, H3063 and made H4427 (HiphImpf) themselves a king. H4428

In his days hath Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah, and cause a king to reign over them;

So Edom has been in revolt from under the hand of Judah to this day. Then Libnah revolted at the same time from under his hand, because he had forsaken Yahweh, the God of his fathers.

So the Edomites H123 revolted H6586 (QalImpf) from under the hand H3027 of Judah H3063 unto this day. H3117 The same time H6256 [also] did Libnah H3841 revolt H6586 (QalImpf) from under his hand; H3027 because he had forsaken H5800 (QalPerf) the Lord H3068 God H430 of his fathers. H1

and Edom revolteth from under the hand of Judah unto this day; then doth Libnah revolt at that time from under his hand, because he hath forsaken Jehovah, God of his fathers,

Yahweh stirred up against Jehoram the spirit of the Philistines and of the Arabians who are beside the Ethiopians;

Moreover the Lord H3068 stirred up H5782 (HiphImpf) against Jehoram H3088 the spirit H7307 of the Philistines, H6430 and of the Arabians, H6163 that [were] near H5921 H3027 the Ethiopians: H3569

And Jehovah waketh up against Jehoram the spirit of the Philistines, and of the Arabians, who are beside the Cushim,

The Levites shall surround the king, every man with his weapons in his hand. Whoever comes into the house, let him be slain. Be with the king when he comes in and when he goes out.”

and the Levites have compassed the king round about, each with his weapon in his hand, and he who hath gone in unto the house is put to death; and be ye with the king in his coming in and in his going out.’

He set all the people, every man with his weapon in his hand, from the right side of the house to the left side of the house, near the altar and the house, around the king.

And he set H5975 (HiphImpf) all the people, H5971 every man H376 having his weapon H7973 in his hand, H3027 from the right H3233 side H3802 of the temple H1004 to the left H8042 side H3802 of the temple, H1004 along by the altar H4196 and the temple, H1004 by the king H4428 round about. H5439

and he stationeth the whole of the people, and each his dart in his hand, from the right shoulder of the house unto the left shoulder of the house, at the altar, and at the house, by the king, round about.

So they made way for her. She went to the entrance of the horse gate to the king’s house; and they killed her there.

So they laid H7760 (QalImpf) hands H3027 on her; and when she was come H935 (QalImpf) to the entering H3996 of the horse H5483 gate H8179 by the king’s H4428 house, H1004 they slew H4191 (HiphImpf) her there.

And they make for her sides, and she cometh in unto the entrance of the gate of the horses at the house of the king, and they put her to death there.

Jehoiada appointed the officers of Yahweh’s house under the hand of the Levitical priests, whom David had distributed in Yahweh’s house, to offer the burnt offerings of Yahweh, as it is written in the law of Moses, with rejoicing and with singing, as David had ordered.

Also Jehoiada H3077 appointed H7760 (QalImpf) the offices H6486 of the house H1004 of the Lord H3068 by the hand H3027 of the priests H3548 the Levites, H3881 whom David H1732 had distributed H2505 (QalPerf) in the house H1004 of the Lord, H3068 to offer H5927 (HiphInf) the burnt offerings H5930 of the Lord, H3068 as [it is] written H3789 (QalPasPtc) in the law H8451 of Moses, H4872 with rejoicing H8057 and with singing, H7892 [as it was ordained] by H3027 David. And Jehoiada putteth the offices of the house of Jehovah into the hand of the priests the Levites whom David had apportioned over the house of Jehovah, to cause to ascend the burnt-offerings of Jehovah, as written in the law of Moses, with joy, and with singing, by the hands of David;

Whenever the chest was brought to the king’s officers by the hand of the Levites, and when they saw that there was much money, the king’s scribe and the chief priest’s officer came and emptied the chest, and took it, and carried it to its place again. Thus they did day by day, and gathered money in abundance.

And it cometh to pass, at the time one bringeth in the chest for the inspection of the king by the hand of the Levites, and at their seeing that the money is abundant, that a scribe of the king hath come in, and an officer of the head-priest, and they empty the chest, and take it up and turn it back unto its place; thus they have done day by day, and gather money in abundance.

So the workmen worked, and the work of repairing went forward in their hands. They set up God’s house as it was designed, and strengthened it.

So the workmen H4399 H6213 (QalActPtc) wrought, H6213 (QalImpf) and the work H4399 was H5927 (QalImpf) perfected H724 by them, H3027 and they set H5975 (HiphImpf) the house H1004 of God H430 in his state, H4971 and strengthened H553 (PielImpf) it.

And those doing the business work, and there goeth up lengthening to the work by their hand, and they establish the house of God, by its proper measure, and strengthen it.

For the army of the Syrians came with a small company of men; and Yahweh delivered a very great army into their hand, because they had forsaken Yahweh, the God of their fathers. So they executed judgment on Joash.

For the army H2428 of the Syrians H758 came H935 (QalPerf) with a small H4705 company of men, H582 and the Lord H3068 delivered H5414 (QalPerf) a very H3966 great H7230 host H2428 into their hand, H3027 because they had forsaken H5800 (QalPerf) the Lord H3068 God H430 of their fathers. H1 So they executed H6213 (QalPerf) judgment H8201 against Joash. H3101

for with few men have the force of Aram come in, and Jehovah hath given into their hand a mighty force for multitude, because they have forsaken Jehovah, God of their fathers; and with Joash they have executed judgments.

Therefore Yahweh’s anger burned against Amaziah, and he sent to him a prophet who said to him, “Why have you sought after the gods of the people, which have not delivered their own people out of your hand?”

Wherefore the anger H639 of the Lord H3068 was kindled H2734 (QalImpf) against Amaziah, H558 and he sent H7971 (QalImpf) unto him a prophet, H5030 which said H559 (QalImpf) unto him, Why hast thou sought H1875 (QalPerf) after the gods H430 of the people, H5971 which could not deliver H5337 (HiphPerf) their own people H5971 out of thine hand? H3027

And the anger of Jehovah burneth against Amaziah, and He sendeth unto him a prophet, and he saith unto him, ‘Why hast thou sought the gods of the people that have not delivered their people out of thy hand?’

But Amaziah would not listen; for it was of God, that he might deliver them into the hand of their enemies, because they had sought after the gods of Edom.

But Amaziah H558 would not hear; H8085 (QalPerf) for it [came] of God, H430 that he might deliver H5414 (QalInf) them into the hand H3027 [of their enemies], because they sought H1875 (QalPerf) after the gods H430 of Edom. H123

And Amaziah hath not hearkened, for from God it is in order to give them into hand, because they have sought the gods of Edom;
