Moses said to Pharaoh, “I give you the honor of setting the time that I should pray for you, and for your servants, and for your people, that the frogs be destroyed from you and your houses, and remain in the river only.”

^[8:5] ειπεν δε μωυσης προς φαραω ταξαι προς με ποτε ευξωμαι περι σου και περι των θεραποντων σου και περι του λαου σου αφανισαι τους βατραχους απο σου και απο του λαου σου και εκ των οικιων υμων πλην εν τω ποταμω υπολειφθησονται

The frogs shall depart from you, and from your houses, and from your servants, and from your people. They shall remain in the river only.”

And the frogs H6854 shall depart H5493 (QalPerf) from thee, and from thy houses, H1004 and from thy servants, H5650 and from thy people; H5971 they shall remain H7604 (NiphImpf) in the river H2975 only.

^[8:7] και περιαιρεθησονται οι βατραχοι απο σου και εκ των οικιων υμων και εκ των επαυλεων και απο των θεραποντων σου και απο του λαου σου πλην εν τω ποταμω υπολειφθησονται

Yahweh did according to the word of Moses, and the frogs died out of the houses, out of the courts, and out of the fields.

And the Lord H3068 did H6213 (QalImpf) according to the word H1697 of Moses; H4872 and the frogs H6854 died H4191 (QalImpf) out of the houses, H1004 out of the villages, H2691 and out of the fields. H7704

^[8:9] εποιησεν δε κυριος καθαπερ ειπεν μωυσης και ετελευτησαν οι βατραχοι εκ των οικιων και εκ των επαυλεων και εκ των αγρων

Else, if you will not let my people go, behold, I will send swarms of flies on you, and on your servants, and on your people, and into your houses. The houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground they are on.

Else, if thou wilt not let my people H5971 go, H7971 (PielPtc) behold, I will send H7971 (HiphPtc) swarms H6157 [of flies] upon thee, and upon thy servants, H5650 and upon thy people, H5971 and into thy houses: H1004 and the houses H1004 of the Egyptians H4714 shall be full H4390 (QalPerf) of swarms H6157 [of flies], and also the ground H127 whereon they [are].

Yahweh did so; and there came grievous swarms of flies into the house of Pharaoh, and into his servants’ houses. In all the land of Egypt the land was corrupted by reason of the swarms of flies.

And the Lord H3068 did H6213 (QalImpf) so; and there came H935 (QalImpf) a grievous H3515 swarm H6157 [of flies] into the house H1004 of Pharaoh, H6547 and [into] his servants’ H5650 houses, H1004 and into all the land H776 of Egypt: H4714 the land H776 was corrupted H7843 (NiphImpf) by reason H6440 of the swarm H6157 [of flies].

^[8:20] εποιησεν δε κυριος ουτως και παρεγενετο η κυνομυια πληθος εις τους οικους φαραω και εις τους οικους των θεραποντων αυτου και εις πασαν την γην αιγυπτου και εξωλεθρευθη η γη απο της κυνομυιης

Now therefore command that all of your livestock and all that you have in the field be brought into shelter. The hail will come down on every man and animal that is found in the field, and isn’t brought home, and they will die.” ’ ”

Send H7971 (QalImpv) therefore now, [and] gather H5756 (HiphImpv) thy cattle, H4735 and all that thou hast in the field; H7704 [for upon] every man H120 and beast H929 which shall be found H4672 (NiphImpf) in the field, H7704 and shall not be brought H622 (NiphImpf) home, H1004 the hail H1259 shall come down H3381 (QalPerf) upon them, and they shall die. νυν ουν κατασπευσον συναγαγειν τα κτηνη σου και οσα σοι εστιν εν τω πεδιω παντες γαρ οι ανθρωποι και τα κτηνη οσα αν ευρεθη εν τω πεδιω και μη εισελθη εις οικιαν πεση δε επ αυτα η χαλαζα τελευτησει

Those who feared Yahweh’s word among the servants of Pharaoh made their servants and their livestock flee into the houses.

He that feared H3373 the word H1697 of the Lord H3068 among the servants H5650 of Pharaoh H6547 made his servants H5650 and his cattle H4735 flee H5127 (HiphPerf) into the houses: H1004

ο φοβουμενος το ρημα κυριου των θεραποντων φαραω συνηγαγεν τα κτηνη αυτου εις τους οικους

Your houses shall be filled, and the houses of all your servants, and the houses of all the Egyptians, as neither your fathers nor your fathers’ fathers have seen, since the day that they were on the earth to this day.’ ” He turned, and went out from Pharaoh.

Speak to all the congregation of Israel, saying, ‘On the tenth day of this month, they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to their fathers’ houses, a lamb for a household;

λαλησον προς πασαν συναγωγην υιων ισραηλ λεγων τη δεκατη του μηνος τουτου λαβετωσαν εκαστος προβατον κατ οικους πατριων εκαστος προβατον κατ οικιαν

and if the household is too little for a lamb, then he and his neighbor next to his house shall take one according to the number of the souls. You shall make your count for the lamb according to what everyone can eat.

εαν δε ολιγοστοι ωσιν οι εν τη οικια ωστε μη ικανους ειναι εις προβατον συλλημψεται μεθ εαυτου τον γειτονα τον πλησιον αυτου κατα αριθμον ψυχων εκαστος το αρκουν αυτω συναριθμησεται εις προβατον

They shall take some of the blood, and put it on the two door posts and on the lintel, on the houses in which they shall eat it.

And they shall take H3947 (QalPerf) of the blood, H1818 and strike H5414 (QalPerf) [it] on the two H8147 side posts H4201 and on the upper door post H4947 of the houses, H1004 wherein they shall eat H398 (QalImpf) it.

και λημψονται απο του αιματος και θησουσιν επι των δυο σταθμων και επι την φλιαν εν τοις οικοις εν οις εαν φαγωσιν αυτα εν αυτοις

The blood shall be to you for a token on the houses where you are. When I see the blood, I will pass over you, and no plague will be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.

“ ‘Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread; even the first day you shall put away yeast out of your houses, for whoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.

Seven H7651 days H3117 shall ye eat H398 (QalImpf) unleavened bread; H4682 even H389 the first H7223 day H3117 ye shall put away H7673 (HiphImpf) leaven H7603 out of your houses: H1004 for whosoever eateth H398 (QalActPtc) leavened bread H2557 from the first H7223 day H3117 until the seventh H7637 day, H3117 that soul H5315 shall be cut H3772 (NiphPerf) off from Israel. επτα ημερας αζυμα εδεσθε απο δε της ημερας της πρωτης αφανιειτε ζυμην εκ των οικιων υμων πας ος αν φαγη ζυμην εξολεθρευθησεται η ψυχη εκεινη εξ ισραηλ απο της ημερας της πρωτης εως της ημερας της εβδομης

There shall be no yeast found in your houses for seven days, for whoever eats that which is leavened, that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he is a foreigner, or one who is born in the land.

You shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two door posts with the blood that is in the basin. None of you shall go out of the door of his house until the morning.

λημψεσθε δε δεσμην υσσωπου και βαψαντες απο του αιματος του παρα την θυραν καθιξετε της φλιας και επ αμφοτερων των σταθμων απο του αιματος ο εστιν παρα την θυραν υμεις δε ουκ εξελευσεσθε εκαστος την θυραν του οικου αυτου εως πρωι

For Yahweh will pass through to strike the Egyptians; and when he sees the blood on the lintel, and on the two door posts, Yahweh will pass over the door, and will not allow the destroyer to come in to your houses to strike you.

For the Lord H3068 will pass through H5674 (QalPerf) to smite H5062 (QalInf) the Egyptians; H4714 and when he seeth H7200 (QalPerf) the blood H1818 upon the lintel, H4947 and on the two H8147 side posts, H4201 the Lord H3068 will pass over H6452 (QalPerf) the door, H6607 and will not suffer H5414 (QalImpf) the destroyer H7843 (HiphPtc) to come H935 (QalInf) in unto your houses H1004 to smite H5062 (QalInf) [you].

και παρελευσεται κυριος παταξαι τους αιγυπτιους και οψεται το αιμα επι της φλιας και επ αμφοτερων των σταθμων και παρελευσεται κυριος την θυραν και ουκ αφησει τον ολεθρευοντα εισελθειν εις τας οικιας υμων παταξαι

that you shall say, ‘It is the sacrifice of Yahweh’s Passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he struck the Egyptians, and spared our houses.’ ” The people bowed their heads and worshiped.

και ερειτε αυτοις θυσια το πασχα τουτο κυριω ως εσκεπασεν τους οικους των υιων ισραηλ εν αιγυπτω ηνικα επαταξεν τους αιγυπτιους τους δε οικους ημων ερρυσατο και κυψας ο λαος προσεκυνησεν

At midnight, Yahweh struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive who was in the dungeon, and all the firstborn of livestock.

And it came to pass, that at midnight H2677 H3915 the Lord H3068 smote H5221 (HiphPerf) all the firstborn H1060 in the land H776 of Egypt, H4714 from the firstborn H1060 of Pharaoh H6547 that sat H3427 (QalActPtc) on his throne H3678 unto the firstborn H1060 of the captive H7628 that [was] in the dungeon; H1004 H953 and all the firstborn H1060 of cattle. εγενηθη δε μεσουσης της νυκτος και κυριος επαταξεν παν πρωτοτοκον εν γη αιγυπτω απο πρωτοτοκου φαραω του καθημενου επι του θρονου εως πρωτοτοκου της αιχμαλωτιδος της εν τω λακκω και εως πρωτοτοκου παντος κτηνους

Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt, for there was not a house where there was not one dead.

It must be eaten in one house. You shall not carry any of the meat outside of the house. Do not break any of its bones.

εν οικια μια βρωθησεται και ουκ εξοισετε εκ της οικιας των κρεων εξω και οστουν ου συντριψετε απ αυτου

Moses said to the people, “Remember this day, in which you came out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand Yahweh brought you out from this place. No leavened bread shall be eaten.

And Moses H4872 said H559 (QalImpf) unto the people, H5971 Remember H2142 (QalInf) this H2088 day, H3117 in which ye came out H3318 (QalPerf) from Egypt, H4714 out of the house H1004 of bondage; H5650 for by strength H2392 of hand H3027 the Lord H3068 brought you out H3318 (HiphPerf) from this [place]: there shall no leavened bread H2557 be eaten. It shall be, when your son asks you in time to come, saying, ‘What is this?’ that you shall tell him, ‘By strength of hand Yahweh brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage.

And it shall be when thy son H1121 asketh H7592 (QalImpf) thee in time to come, H4279 saying, H559 (QalInf) What [is] this? that thou shalt say H559 (QalPerf) unto him, By strength H2392 of hand H3027 the Lord H3068 brought us out H3318 (HiphPerf) from Egypt, H4714 from the house H1004 of bondage: H5650

εαν δε ερωτηση σε ο υιος σου μετα ταυτα λεγων τι τουτο και ερεις αυτω οτι εν χειρι κραταια εξηγαγεν ημας κυριος εκ γης αιγυπτου εξ οικου δουλειας

The house of Israel called its name “Manna”,° and it was like coriander seed, white; and its taste was like wafers with honey.

Exodus 16:31 “Manna” means “What is it?”

Moses went up to God, and Yahweh called to him out of the mountain, saying, “This is what you shall tell the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel:

και μωυσης ανεβη εις το ορος του θεου και εκαλεσεν αυτον ο θεος εκ του ορους λεγων ταδε ερεις τω οικω ιακωβ και αναγγελεις τοις υιοις ισραηλ

“I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

εγω ειμι κυριος ο θεος σου οστις εξηγαγον σε εκ γης αιγυπτου εξ οικου δουλειας

“You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”

ουκ επιθυμησεις την γυναικα του πλησιον σου ουκ επιθυμησεις την οικιαν του πλησιον σου ουτε τον αγρον αυτου ουτε τον παιδα αυτου ουτε την παιδισκην αυτου ουτε του βοος αυτου ουτε του υποζυγιου αυτου ουτε παντος κτηνους αυτου ουτε οσα τω πλησιον σου εστιν

“If a man delivers to his neighbor money or stuff to keep, and it is stolen out of the man’s house, if the thief is found, he shall pay double.

If a man H376 shall deliver H5414 (QalImpf) unto his neighbour H7453 money H3701 or stuff H3627 to keep, H8104 (QalInf) and it be stolen H1589 (PualPerf) out of the man’s H376 house; H1004 if the thief H1590 be found, H4672 (NiphImpf) let him pay H7999 (PielImpf) double. H8147

^[22:6] εαν δε τις δω τω πλησιον αργυριον η σκευη φυλαξαι και κλαπη εκ της οικιας του ανθρωπου εαν ευρεθη ο κλεψας αποτεισει διπλουν

If the thief isn’t found, then the master of the house shall come near to God, to find out whether or not he has put his hand on his neighbor’s goods.

If the thief H1590 be not H3808 found, H4672 (NiphImpf) then the master H1167 of the house H1004 shall be brought H7126 (NiphPerf) unto the judges, H430 [to see] whether he have put H7971 (QalPerf) his hand H3027 unto his neighbour’s H7453 goods. H4399

^[22:7] εαν δε μη ευρεθη ο κλεψας προσελευσεται ο κυριος της οικιας ενωπιον του θεου και ομειται η μην μη αυτος πεπονηρευσθαι εφ ολης της παρακαταθηκης του πλησιον

You shall bring the first of the first fruits of your ground into the house of Yahweh your God. “You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.

The first H7225 of the firstfruits H1061 of thy land H127 thou shalt bring H935 (HiphImpf) into the house H1004 of the Lord H3068 thy God. H430 Thou shalt not seethe H1310 (PielImpf) a kid H1423 in his mother’s H517 milk. H2461

You shall overlay it with pure gold. You shall overlay it inside and outside, and you shall make a gold molding around it.

The rings shall be close to the rim, for places for the poles to carry the table.

You shall overlay the boards with gold, and make their rings of gold for places for the bars. You shall overlay the bars with gold.

You shall hang up the veil under the clasps, and shall bring the ark of the covenant in there within the veil. The veil shall separate the holy place from the most holy for you.

“You shall bring the first of the first fruits of your ground to the house of Yahweh your God. “You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.”

τα πρωτογενηματα της γης σου θησεις εις τον οικον κυριου του θεου σου ου προσοισεις αρνα εν γαλακτι μητρος αυτου

He overlaid the boards with gold, and made their rings of gold as places for the bars, and overlaid the bars with gold.

And he overlaid H6823 (PielPerf) the boards H7175 with gold, H2091 and made H6213 (QalPerf) their rings H2885 [of] gold H2091 [to be] places H1004 for the bars, H1280 and overlaid H6823 (PielImpf) the bars H1280 with gold. H2091

^[38:18] ουτος περιηργυρωσεν τους στυλους και εχωνευσεν τω στυλω δακτυλιους χρυσους και εχρυσωσεν τους μοχλους χρυσιω και κατεχρυσωσεν τους στυλους του καταπετασματος χρυσιω και εποιησεν τας αγκυλας χρυσας ^[38:19] ουτος εποιησεν και τους κρικους της σκηνης χρυσους και τους κρικους της αυλης και κρικους εις το εκτεινειν το κατακαλυμμα ανωθεν χαλκους ^[38:20] ουτος εχωνευσεν τας κεφαλιδας τας αργυρας της σκηνης και τας κεφαλιδας τας χαλκας της θυρας της σκηνης και την πυλην της αυλης και αγκυλας εποιησεν τοις στυλοις αργυρας επι των στυλων ουτος περιηργυρωσεν αυτας

He overlaid it with pure gold inside and outside, and made a molding of gold for it around it.

And he overlaid H6823 (PielImpf) it with pure H2889 gold H2091 within H1004 and without, H2351 and made H6213 (QalImpf) a crown H2213 of gold H2091 to it round about. H5439

The rings were close by the border, the places for the poles to carry the table.

He made two golden rings for it under its molding crown, on its two ribs, on its two sides, for places for poles with which to carry it.

And he made H6213 (QalPerf) two H8147 rings H2885 of gold H2091 for it under the crown H2213 thereof, by the two H8147 corners H6763 of it, upon the two H8147 sides H6654 thereof, to be places H1004 for the staves H905 to bear H5375 (QalInf) it withal.

He cast four rings for the four corners of bronze grating, to be places for the poles.

And he cast H3332 (QalImpf) four H702 rings H2885 for the four H702 ends H7099 of the grate H4345 of brass, H5178 [to be] places H1004 for the staves. H905

They made two rings of gold, and put them on the two ends of the breastplate, on its edge, which was toward the side of the ephod inward.

And they made H6213 (QalImpf) two H8147 rings H2885 of gold, H2091 and put H7760 (QalImpf) [them] on the two H8147 ends H7098 of the breastplate, H2833 upon the border H8193 of it, which [was] on the side H5676 of the ephod H646 inward. H1004

^[36:26] και εποιησαν δυο δακτυλιους χρυσους και επεθηκαν επι τα δυο πτερυγια επ ακρου του λογειου επι το ακρον του οπισθιου της επωμιδος εσωθεν

For the cloud of Yahweh was on the tabernacle by day, and there was fire in the cloud by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.

και ειπεν μωυσης προς ααρων και ελεαζαρ και ιθαμαρ τους υιους αυτου τους καταλελειμμενους την κεφαλην υμων ουκ αποκιδαρωσετε και τα ιματια υμων ου διαρρηξετε ινα μη αποθανητε και επι πασαν την συναγωγην εσται θυμος οι αδελφοι υμων πας ο οικος ισραηλ κλαυσονται τον εμπυρισμον ον ενεπυρισθησαν υπο κυριου

“When you have come into the land of Canaan, which I give to you for a possession, and I put a spreading mildew in a house in the land of your possession,

ως αν εισελθητε εις την γην των χαναναιων ην εγω διδωμι υμιν εν κτησει και δωσω αφην λεπρας εν ταις οικιαις της γης της εγκτητου υμιν

then he who owns the house shall come and tell the priest, saying, ‘There seems to me to be some sort of plague in the house.’

And he that owneth the house H1004 shall come H935 (QalPerf) and tell H5046 (HiphPerf) the priest, H3548 saying, H559 (QalInf) It seemeth H7200 (NiphPerf) to me [there is] as it were a plague H5061 in the house: H1004

και ηξει τινος αυτου η οικια και αναγγελει τω ιερει λεγων ωσπερ αφη εωραται μου εν τη οικια

The priest shall command that they empty the house, before the priest goes in to examine the plague, that all that is in the house not be made unclean. Afterward the priest shall go in to inspect the house.

Then the priest H3548 shall command H6680 (PielPerf) that they empty H6437 (PielPerf) the house, H1004 before the priest H3548 go H935 (QalImpf) [into it] to see H7200 (QalInf) the plague, H5061 that all that [is] in the house H1004 be not made unclean: H2930 (QalImpf) and afterward H310 the priest H3548 shall go H935 (QalImpf) in to see H7200 (QalInf) the house: H1004

και προσταξει ο ιερευς αποσκευασαι την οικιαν προ του εισελθοντα ιδειν τον ιερεα την αφην και ου μη ακαθαρτα γενηται οσα εαν η εν τη οικια και μετα ταυτα εισελευσεται ο ιερευς καταμαθειν την οικιαν

He shall examine the plague; and behold, if the plague is in the walls of the house with hollow streaks, greenish or reddish, and it appears to be deeper than the wall,

And he shall look H7200 (QalPerf) on the plague, H5061 and, behold, [if] the plague H5061 [be] in the walls H7023 of the house H1004 with hollow strakes, H8258 greenish H3422 or reddish, H125 which in sight H4758 [are] lower H8217 than H4480 the wall; H7023

και οψεται την αφην εν τοις τοιχοις της οικιας κοιλαδας χλωριζουσας η πυρριζουσας και η οψις αυτων ταπεινοτερα των τοιχων

then the priest shall go out of the house to the door of the house, and shut up the house seven days.

Then the priest H3548 shall go H3318 (QalPerf) out of the house H1004 to the door H6607 of the house, H1004 and shut H5462 (HiphPerf) up the house H1004 seven H7651 days: H3117

και εξελθων ο ιερευς εκ της οικιας επι την θυραν της οικιας και αφοριει ο ιερευς την οικιαν επτα ημερας

The priest shall come again on the seventh day, and look. If the plague has spread in the walls of the house,

And the priest H3548 shall come again H7725 (QalPerf) the seventh H7637 day, H3117 and shall look: H7200 (QalPerf) and, behold, [if] the plague H5061 be spread H6581 (QalPerf) in the walls H7023 of the house; H1004

και επανηξει ο ιερευς τη ημερα τη εβδομη και οψεται την οικιαν και ιδου ου διεχυθη η αφη εν τοις τοιχοις της οικιας
