Sarah died in Kiriath Arba (also called Hebron), in the land of Canaan. Abraham came to mourn for Sarah, and to weep for her.

When Abraham’s servant heard their words, he bowed himself down to the earth to Yahweh.

but Abraham gave gifts to the sons of Abraham’s concubines. While he still lived, he sent them away from Isaac his son, eastward, to the east country.

Yahweh appeared to him, and said, “Don’t go down into Egypt. Live in the land I will tell you about.

I will multiply your offspring as the stars of the sky, and will give all these lands to your offspring. In your offspring all the nations of the earth will be blessed,

and I will make H7235 thy seed H2233 to multiply H7235 (HiphPerf) as the stars H3556 of heaven, H8064 and will give H5414 (QalPerf) unto thy seed H2233 all these H411 countries; H776 and in thy seed H2233 shall all the nations H1471 of the earth H776 be blessed; H1288 (HithPerf)

και πληθυνω το σπερμα σου ως τους αστερας του ουρανου και δωσω τω σπερματι σου πασαν την γην ταυτην και ενευλογηθησονται εν τω σπερματι σου παντα τα εθνη της γης

Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year one hundred times what he planted. Yahweh blessed him.

Genesis 26:12 Heb. found

εσπειρεν δε ισαακ εν τη γη εκεινη και ευρεν εν τω ενιαυτω εκεινω εκατοστευουσαν κριθην ευλογησεν δε αυτον κυριος

He left that place, and dug another well. They didn’t argue over that one. So he called it Rehoboth.° He said, “For now Yahweh has made room for us, and we will be fruitful in the land.”

He dreamed and saw a stairway set upon the earth, and its top reached to heaven. Behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.

Your offspring will be as the dust of the earth, and you will spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south. In you and in your offspring, all the families of the earth will be blessed.

Yahweh said to Jacob, “Return to the land of your fathers, and to your relatives, and I will be with you.”

I am the God of Bethel, where you anointed a pillar, where you vowed a vow to me. Now arise, get out from this land, and return to the land of your birth.’ ”

εγω ειμι ο θεος ο οφθεις σοι εν τοπω θεου ου ηλειψας μοι εκει στηλην και ηυξω μοι εκει ευχην νυν ουν αναστηθι και εξελθε εκ της γης ταυτης και απελθε εις την γην της γενεσεως σου και εσομαι μετα σου

Jacob said, “God of my father Abraham, and God of my father Isaac, Yahweh, who said to me, ‘Return to your country, and to your relatives, and I will do you good,’
