Ephraim is a trained heifer that loves to thresh, so I will put a yoke on her beautiful neck. I will set a rider on Ephraim. Judah will plow. Jacob will break his clods.

οι λεγοντες ποτε διελευσεται ο μην και εμπολησομεν και τα σαββατα και ανοιξομεν θησαυρους του ποιησαι μικρον μετρον και του μεγαλυναι σταθμια και ποιησαι ζυγον αδικον

He who breaks open the way goes up before them. They break through the gate, and go out. Their king passes on before them, with Yahweh at their head.

Who is a God like you, who pardons iniquity, and passes over the disobedience of the remnant of his heritage? He doesn’t retain his anger forever, because he delights in loving kindness.

τις θεος ωσπερ συ εξαιρων αδικιας και υπερβαινων ασεβειας τοις καταλοιποις της κληρονομιας αυτου και ου συνεσχεν εις μαρτυριον οργην αυτου οτι θελητης ελεους εστιν

But with an overflowing flood, he will make a full end of her place, and will pursue his enemies into darkness.

και εν κατακλυσμω πορειας συντελειαν ποιησεται τους επεγειρομενους και τους εχθρους αυτου διωξεται σκοτος

Yahweh says: “Though they are in full strength and likewise many, even so they will be cut down and pass away. Though I have afflicted you, I will afflict you no more.

ταδε λεγει κυριος καταρχων υδατων πολλων και ουτως διασταλησονται και η ακοη σου ουκ ενακουσθησεται ετι

Behold,^§ on the mountains the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace! Keep your feasts, Judah! Perform your vows, for the wicked one will no more pass through you. He is utterly cut off.

Nahum 1:15 “Behold”, from “הִנֵּה”, means look at, take notice, observe, see, or gaze at. It is often used as an interjection.

αυτη η πολις η φαυλιστρια η κατοικουσα επ ελπιδι η λεγουσα εν καρδια αυτης εγω ειμι και ουκ εστιν μετ εμε ετι πως εγενηθη εις αφανισμον νομη θηριων πας ο διαπορευομενος δι αυτης συριει και κινησει τας χειρας αυτου
