So the couriers who rode on royal horses went out, hastened and pressed on by the king’s commandment. The decree was given out in the citadel of Susa.

Yahweh’s name is a strong tower: the righteous run to him, and are safe.

εκ μεγαλωσυνης ισχυος ονομα κυριου αυτω δε προσδραμοντες δικαιοι υψουνται

Take me away with you. Let’s hurry. The king has brought me into his rooms. We will be glad and rejoice in you. We will praise your love more than wine! They are right to love you.

but those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.

Behold, you shall call a nation that you don’t know; and a nation that didn’t know you shall run to you, because of Yahweh your God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he has glorified you.”

“If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you, then how can you contend with horses? Though in a land of peace you are secure, yet how will you do in the pride of the Jordan?

σου οι ποδες τρεχουσιν και εκλυουσιν σε πως παρασκευαση εφ ιπποις και εν γη ειρηνης συ πεποιθας πως ποιησεις εν φρυαγματι του ιορδανου

I didn’t send these prophets, yet they ran. I didn’t speak to them, yet they prophesied.

“Behold, he will come up like a lion from the pride of the Jordan against the strong habitation; for I will suddenly make them run away from it, and whoever is chosen, I will appoint him over it. For who is like me? Who will appoint me a time? Who is the shepherd who will stand before me?”

^[30:13] ιδου ωσπερ λεων αναβησεται εκ μεσου του ιορδανου εις τοπον αιθαμ οτι ταχυ εκδιωξω αυτους απ αυτης και τους νεανισκους επ αυτην επιστησατε οτι τις ωσπερ εγω και τις αντιστησεται μοι και τις ουτος ποιμην ος στησεται κατα προσωπον μου

Behold, the enemy will come up like a lion from the thickets of the Jordan against the strong habitation; for I will suddenly make them run away from it. Whoever is chosen, I will appoint him over it, for who is like me? Who will appoint me a time? Who is the shepherd who can stand before me?”

^[27:44] ιδου ωσπερ λεων αναβησεται απο του ιορδανου εις τοπον αιθαμ οτι ταχεως εκδιωξω αυτους απ αυτης και παντα νεανισκον επ αυτην επιστησω οτι τις ωσπερ εγω και τις αντιστησεται μοι και τις ουτος ποιμην ος στησεται κατα προσωπον μου

One runner will run to meet another, and one messenger to meet another, to show the king of Babylon that his city is taken on every quarter.

He came to the ram that had the two horns, which I saw standing before the river, and ran on him in the fury of his power.

Their appearance is as the appearance of horses, and they run as horsemen.

They rush on the city. They run on the wall. They climb up into the houses. They enter in at the windows like thieves.

The chariots rage in the streets. They rush back and forth in the wide ways. Their appearance is like torches. They run like the lightnings.

Yahweh answered me, “Write the vision, and make it plain on tablets, that he who runs may read it.

και απεκριθη προς με κυριος και ειπεν γραψον ορασιν και σαφως επι πυξιον οπως διωκη ο αναγινωσκων αυτα

Ye looked H6437 (QalInf) for much, H7235 (HiphInf) and, lo, [it came] to little; H4592 and when ye brought H935 (HiphPerf) [it] home, H1004 I did blow H5301 (QalPerf) upon it. Why? saith H5002 (QalPasPtc) the Lord H3068 of hosts. H6635 Because H3282 of mine house H1004 that [is] waste, H2720 and ye run H7323 (QalPtc) every man H376 unto his own house. H1004

επεβλεψατε εις πολλα και εγενετο ολιγα και εισηνεχθη εις τον οικον και εξεφυσησα αυτα δια τουτο ταδε λεγει κυριος παντοκρατωρ ανθ ων ο οικος μου εστιν ερημος υμεις δε διωκετε εκαστος εις τον οικον αυτου
