Therefore I have cut them to pieces with the prophets; I killed them with the words of my mouth. Your judgments are like a flash of lightning.

I have seen Ephraim, like Tyre, planted in a pleasant place; but Ephraim will bring out his children to the murderer.

Ephraim! when I have looked to the rock, Is planted in comeliness, And Ephraim is to bring out unto a slayer his sons.

Gather the people. Sanctify the assembly. Assemble the elders. Gather the children, and those who nurse from breasts. Let the bridegroom go out of his room, and the bride out of her chamber.

Gather the people, sanctify an assembly, Assemble the aged, Gather infants and sucklings of the breasts, Go out let a bridegroom from his inner chamber, And a bride out of her closet.

It will happen in that day, that the mountains will drop down sweet wine, the hills will flow with milk, all the brooks of Judah will flow with waters; and a fountain will flow out from Yahweh’s house, and will water the valley of Shittim.

And it hath come to pass, in that day, Drop down do the mountains juice, And the hills do flow with milk, And all streams of Judah do go with water, And a fountain from the house of Jehovah goeth forth, And hath watered the valley of Shittim.

You will go out at the breaks in the wall, everyone straight before her; and you will cast yourselves into Harmon,” says Yahweh.

For thus said the Lord Jehovah: The city that is going out a thousand, Doth leave an hundred, And that which is going out an hundred, Doth leave ten to the house of Israel.

“When a man’s relative carries him, even he who burns him, to bring bodies out of the house, and asks him who is in the innermost parts of the house, ‘Is there yet any with you?’ And he says, ‘No;’ then he will say, ‘Hush! Indeed we must not mention Yahweh’s name.’

And lifted him up hath his loved one, even his burner, To bring forth the bones from the house, And he said to him who is in the sides of the house, ‘Is there yet with thee?’ And he said, ‘None,’ then he said, ‘Hush! Save to make mention of the name of Jehovah.’

Then Jonah went out of the city and sat on the east side of the city, and there made himself a booth and sat under it in the shade, until he might see what would become of the city.

For behold,^§ Yahweh comes out of his place, and will come down and tread on the high places of the earth.

Micah 1:3 “Behold”, from “הִנֵּה”, means look at, take notice, observe, see, or gaze at. It is often used as an interjection.

For, behold, the Lord H3068 cometh forth H3318 (QalActPtc) out of his place, H4725 and will come down, H3381 (QalPerf) and tread H1869 (QalPerf) upon the high places H1116 of the earth. H776

For lo, Jehovah is going out from His place, And He hath come down, And hath trodden on high places of earth.

He who breaks open the way goes up before them. They break through the gate, and go out. Their king passes on before them, with Yahweh at their head.

The breaker H6555 (QalActPtc) is come up H5927 (QalPerf) before H6440 them: they have broken up, H6555 (QalPerf) and have passed through H5674 (QalImpf) the gate, H8179 and are gone out H3318 (QalImpf) by it: and their king H4428 shall pass H5674 (QalImpf) before H6440 them, and the Lord H3068 on the head H7218 of them.

Gone up hath the breaker before them, They have broken through, Yea, they pass through the gate, Yea, they go out through it, And pass on doth their king before them, And Jehovah at their head!

Many nations will go and say, “Come! Let’s go up to the mountain of Yahweh, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths.” For the law will go out of Zion, and Yahweh’s word from Jerusalem;

And gone have many nations and said, Come and we go up to the mount of Jehovah, And unto the house of the God of Jacob, And He doth teach us of His ways, And we do walk in His paths, For from Zion doth go forth a law, And a word of Jehovah from Jerusalem.

Be in pain, and labor to give birth, daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail; for now you will go out of the city, and will dwell in the field, and will come even to Babylon. There you will be rescued. There Yahweh will redeem you from the hand of your enemies.

And thou, Beth-Lehem Ephratah, Little to be among the chiefs of Judah! From thee to Me he cometh forth-to be ruler in Israel, And his comings forth are of old, From the days of antiquity.

I will bear the indignation of Yahweh, because I have sinned against him, until he pleads my case and executes judgment for me. He will bring me out to the light. I will see his righteousness.

The indignation of Jehovah I do bear, For I have sinned against Him, Till that He doth plead my cause, And hath executed my judgment, He doth bring me forth to the light, I look on His righteousness.

“As in the days of your coming out of the land of Egypt, I will show them marvelous things.”

One has gone out of you who devises evil against Yahweh, who counsels wickedness.

From thee hath come forth a deviser of evil Against Jehovah-a worthless counsellor.

Therefore the law is paralyzed, and justice never prevails; for the wicked surround the righteous; therefore justice comes out perverted.

Therefore the law H8451 is slacked, H6313 (QalImpf) and judgment H4941 doth never H5331 go forth: H3318 (QalImpf) for the wicked H7563 doth compass H3803 (HiphPtc) about the righteous; H6662 therefore wrong H6127 (PualPtc) judgment H4941 proceedeth. H3318 (QalImpf)

Therefore doth law cease, And judgment doth not go forth for ever, For the wicked is compassing the righteous, Therefore wrong judgment goeth forth.

They are feared and dreaded. Their judgment and their dignity proceed from themselves.

They [are] terrible H366 and dreadful: H3372 (NiphPtc) their judgment H4941 and their dignity H7613 shall proceed H3318 (QalImpf) of themselves.

Terrible and fearful it is, From itself its judgment and its excellency go forth.

Plague went before him, and pestilence followed his feet.

Before Him goeth pestilence, And a burning flame goeth forth at His feet.

You went out for the salvation of your people, for the salvation of your anointed. You crushed the head of the land of wickedness. You stripped them head to foot. Selah.

Thou hast gone forth for the salvation of Thy people, For salvation with Thine anointed, Thou hast smitten the head of the house of the wicked, Laying bare the foundation unto the neck. Pause!

I called for a drought on the land, on the mountains, on the grain, on the new wine, on the oil, on that which the ground produces, on men, on livestock, and on all the labor of the hands.”

And I proclaim draught on the land, And on the mountains, and on the corn, And on the new wine, and on the oil, And on what the ground doth bring forth, And on man, and on beast, And on all labour of the hands.’

This is the word that I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt, and my Spirit lived among you. ‘Don’t be afraid.’

Behold, the angel who talked with me went out, and another angel went out to meet him,

Then he said to me, “This is the curse that goes out over the surface of the whole land, for everyone who steals shall be cut off according to it on the one side; and everyone who swears falsely shall be cut off according to it on the other side.

And he saith unto me, ‘This is the execration that is going forth over the face of all the land, for every one who is stealing, on the one side, according to it, hath been declared innocent, and every one who hath sworn, on the other side, according to it, hath been declared innocent.

I will cause it to go out,” says Yahweh of Armies, “and it will enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him who swears falsely by my name; and it will remain in the middle of his house, and will destroy it with its timber and its stones.”

‘I have brought it out-an affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts-and it hath come in unto the house of the thief, and unto the house of him who hath sworn in My name to a falsehood, and it hath remained in the midst of his house, and hath consumed it, both its wood and its stones.’

Then the angel who talked with me came forward and said to me, “Lift up now your eyes and see what this is that is appearing.”

Then the angel H4397 that talked H1696 (QalActPtc) with me went forth, H3318 (QalImpf) and said H559 (QalImpf) unto me, Lift up H5375 (QalImpv) now thine eyes, H5869 and see H7200 (QalImpv) what [is] this that goeth forth. H3318 (QalActPtc)

And the messenger who is speaking with me goeth forth, and saith unto me, ‘Lift up, I pray thee, thine eyes, and see what is this that is coming forth?’

I said, “What is it?” He said, “This is the ephah° basket that is appearing.” He said moreover, “This is their appearance in all the land—

Zechariah 5:6 An ephah is a measure of volume of about 22 liters, 5.8 U. S. gallons, or about ²⁄₃ of a bushel.

And I said, H559 (QalImpf) What [is] it? And he said, H559 (QalImpf) This [is] an ephah H374 that goeth forth. H3318 (QalActPtc) He said H559 (QalImpf) moreover, This [is] their resemblance H5869 through all the earth. H776

And I say, ‘What is it?’ And he saith, ‘This-the ephah that is coming forth.’ And he saith, ‘This is their aspect in all the land.

Then I lifted up my eyes and saw, and behold, there were two women; and the wind was in their wings. Now they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the ephah basket between earth and the sky.

And I lift up mine eyes, and see, and lo, two women are coming forth, and wind in their wings; and they have wings like wings of the stork, and they lift up the ephah between the earth and the heavens.

Again I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and behold, four chariots came out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of bronze.

And I turn back, and lift up mine eyes, and look, and lo, four chariots are coming forth from between two of the mountains, and the mountains are mountains of brass.

The angel answered me, “These are the four winds of the sky, which go out from standing before the Lord of all the earth.

And the angel H4397 answered H6030 (QalImpf) and said H559 (QalImpf) unto me, These [are] the four H702 spirits H7307 of the heavens, H8064 which go forth H3318 (QalActPtc) from standing H3320 (HithInf) before the Lord H113 of all the earth. H776

And the messenger answereth and saith unto me, ‘These are four spirits of the heavens coming forth from presenting themselves before the Lord of the whole earth.

The one with the black horses goes out toward the north country; and the white went out after them; and the dappled went out toward the south country.”

The strong went out, and sought to go that they might walk back and forth through the earth. He said, “Go around and through the earth!” So they walked back and forth through the earth.

Then he called to me, and spoke to me, saying, “Behold, those who go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.”

And he calleth me, and speaketh unto me, saying, ‘See, those coming forth unto the land of the north have caused My Spirit to rest in the land of the north.’

For before those days there was no wages for man nor any wages for an animal, neither was there any peace to him who went out or came in, because of the adversary. For I set all men everyone against his neighbor.

For before H6440 these days H3117 there was H1961 (NiphPerf) no hire H7939 for man, H120 nor any hire H7939 for beast; H929 neither [was there any] peace H7965 to him that went out H3318 (QalActPtc) or came in H935 (QalActPtc) because of the affliction: H6862 for I set H7971 (PielImpf) all men H120 every one H376 against his neighbour. For, before those days there hath been no hiring of man, Yea, a hiring of beasts there is none; And to him who is going out, And to him who is coming in, There is no peace because of the adversary, And I send all men-each against his neighbour.

Yahweh will be seen over them. His arrow will flash like lightning. The Lord Yahweh will blow the trumpet, and will go with whirlwinds of the south.

And the Lord H3068 shall be seen H7200 (NiphImpf) over them, and his arrow H2671 shall go forth H3318 (QalPerf) as the lightning: H1300 and the Lord H136 God H3069 shall blow H8628 (QalImpf) the trumpet, H7782 and shall go H1980 (QalPerf) with whirlwinds H5591 of the south. H8486

And Jehovah doth appear for them, And gone forth as lightning hath His arrow, And the Lord Jehovah with a trumpet bloweth, And He hath gone with whirlwinds of the south.

From him will come the cornerstone, from him the tent peg, from him the battle bow, from him every ruler together.

For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city will be taken, the houses rifled, and the women ravished. Half of the city will go out into captivity, and the rest of the people will not be cut off from the city.

And I have gathered all the nations unto Jerusalem to battle, And captured hath been the city, And spoiled have been the houses, And the women are lain with, Gone forth hath half the city in a removal, And the remnant of the people are not cut off from the city.

Then Yahweh will go out and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

Then shall the Lord H3068 go forth, H3318 (QalPerf) and fight H3898 (NiphPerf) against those nations, H1471 as when H3117 he fought H3898 (NiphInf) in the day H3117 of battle. H7128

And gone forth hath Jehovah, And He hath fought against those nations, As in the day of His fighting in a day of conflict.

It will happen in that day that living waters will go out from Jerusalem, half of them toward the eastern sea, and half of them toward the western sea. It will be so in summer and in winter.

And it hath come to pass, in that day, Go forth do living waters from Jerusalem, Half of them unto the eastern sea, And half of them unto the western sea, In summer and in winter it is.

But to you who fear my name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in its wings. You will go out and leap like calves of the stall.

But unto you that fear H3373 my name H8034 shall the Sun H8121 of righteousness H6666 arise H2224 (QalPerf) with healing H4832 in his wings; H3671 and ye shall go forth, H3318 (QalPerf) and grow up H6335 (QalPerf) as calves H5695 of the stall. H4770

And risen to you, ye who fear My name, Hath the sun of righteousness-and healing in its wings, And ye have gone forth, and have increased as calves of a stall.
