When all the men of Israel who were in the valley saw that they fled, and that Saul and his sons were dead, they abandoned their cities, and fled; and the Philistines came and lived in them.

And when all the men H376 of Israel H3478 that [were] in the valley H6010 saw H7200 (QalImpf) that they fled, H5127 (QalPerf) and that Saul H7586 and his sons H1121 were dead, H4191 (QalPerf) then they forsook H5800 (QalImpf) their cities, H5892 and fled: H5127 (QalImpf) and the Philistines H6430 came H935 (QalImpf) and dwelt H3427 (QalImpf) in them.

And all the men of Israel who are in the valley see that they have fled, and that Saul and his sons have died, and they forsake their cities and flee, and the Philistines come and dwell in them.

On the next day, when the Philistines came to strip the slain, they found Saul and his sons fallen on Mount Gilboa.

And it came to pass on the morrow, H4283 when the Philistines H6430 came H935 (QalImpf) to strip H6584 (PielInf) the slain, H2491 that they found H4672 (QalImpf) Saul H7586 and his sons H1121 fallen H5307 (QalActPtc) in mount H2022 Gilboa. H1533

And it cometh to pass, on the morrow, that the Philistines come to strip the wounded, and find Saul and his sons fallen in mount Gilboa,

all the valiant men arose and took away the body of Saul and the bodies of his sons, and brought them to Jabesh, and buried their bones under the oak in Jabesh, and fasted seven days.

They arose, H6965 (QalImpf) all the valiant H2428 men, H376 and took away H5375 (QalImpf) the body H1480 of Saul, H7586 and the bodies H1480 of his sons, H1121 and brought H935 (HiphImpf) them to Jabesh, H3003 and buried H6912 (QalImpf) their bones H6106 under the oak H424 in Jabesh, H3003 and fasted H6684 (QalImpf) seven H7651 days. and all the men of valour rise and bear away the body of Saul, and the bodies of his sons, and bring them in to Jabesh, and bury their bones under the oak in Jabesh, and fast seven days.

In times past, even when Saul was king, it was you who led out and brought in Israel. Yahweh your God said to you, ‘You shall be shepherd of my people Israel, and you shall be prince over my people Israel.’ ”

And moreover in time H8543 past, H8032 even when Saul H7586 was king, H4428 thou [wast] he that leddest out H3318 (HiphPtc) and broughtest in H935 (HiphPtc) Israel: H3478 and the Lord H3068 thy God H430 said H559 (QalImpf) unto thee, Thou shalt feed H7462 (QalImpf) my people H5971 Israel, H3478 and thou shalt be ruler H5057 over my people H1571 Israel. H3478

even in time past, even in Saul’s being king, it is thou who art taking out and bringing in Israel, and Jehovah thy God saith to thee: Thou dost feed My people Israel, and thou art leader over My people Israel.’

So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before Yahweh. They anointed David king over Israel, according to Yahweh’s word by Samuel.

Therefore came H935 (QalImpf) all the elders H2205 of Israel H3478 to the king H4428 to Hebron; H2275 and David H1732 made H3772 (QalImpf) a covenant H1285 with them in Hebron H2275 before H6440 the Lord; H3068 and they anointed H4886 (QalImpf) David H1732 king H4428 over Israel, H3478 according to the word H1697 of the Lord H3068 by H3027 Samuel. H8050

And all the elders of Israel come in unto the king to Hebron, and David maketh with them a covenant in Hebron before Jehovah, and they anoint David for king over Israel, according to the word of Jehovah by the hand of Samuel.

The inhabitants of Jebus said to David, “You will not come in here!” Nevertheless David took the stronghold of Zion. The same is David’s city.

And the inhabitants H3427 (QalActPtc) of Jebus H2982 said H559 (QalImpf) to David, H1732 Thou shalt not come H935 (QalImpf) hither. Nevertheless David H1732 took H3920 (QalImpf) the castle H4686 of Zion, H6726 which [is] the city H5892 of David. H1732

And the inhabitants of Jebus say to David, ‘Thou dost not come in hither;’ and David captureth the fortress of Zion-it is the city of David.

The three broke through the army of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem that was by the gate, took it, and brought it to David; but David would not drink any of it, but poured it out to Yahweh,

And the three H7969 brake through H1234 (QalImpf) the host H4264 of the Philistines, H6430 and drew H7579 (QalImpf) water H4325 out of the well H953 of Bethlehem, H1035 that [was] by the gate, H8179 and took H5375 (QalImpf) [it], and brought H935 (HiphImpf) [it] to David: H1732 but David H1732 would H14 (QalPerf) not drink H8354 (QalInf) [of] it, but poured it out H5258 (PielImpf) to the Lord, H3068

And the three break through the camp of the Philistines, and draw water from the well of Beth-Lehem, that is at the gate, and bear and bring in unto David, and David hath not been willing to drink it, and poureth it out to Jehovah,

and said, “My God forbid me, that I should do this! Shall I drink the blood of these men who have put their lives in jeopardy?” For they risked their lives to bring it. Therefore he would not drink it. The three mighty men did these things.

And said, H559 (QalImpf) My God H430 forbid H2486 it me, that I should do H6213 (QalInf) this thing: H2063 shall I drink H8354 (QalImpf) the blood H1818 of these men H582 that have put their lives in jeopardy? These things did H6213 (QalPerf) these three H7969 mightiest. H1368

and saith, ‘Far be it from me, by my God, to do this; the blood of these men do I drink with their lives? for with their lives they have brought it;’ and he was not willing to drink it; these things did the three mighty ones.

Of the three, he was more honorable than the two, and was made their captain; however he wasn’t included in the three.

Of the three, H7969 he was more honourable H3513 (NiphPtc) than the two; H8147 for he was their captain: H8269 howbeit he attained H935 (QalPerf) not to the [first] three. H7969

Of the three by the two he is honoured, and becometh their head; and unto the first three he hath not come.

Behold, he was more honorable than the thirty, but he didn’t attain to the three; and David set him over his guard.

Behold, H2009 he was honourable H3513 (NiphPtc) among the thirty, H7970 but attained H935 (QalPerf) not to the [first] three: H7969 and David H1732 set H7760 (QalImpf) him over his guard. H4928

Of the thirty, lo, he is honoured, and unto the first three he hath not come, and David setteth him over his guard.

Now these are those who came to David to Ziklag while he was a fugitive from Saul the son of Kish. They were among the mighty men, his helpers in war.

Now these [are] they that came H935 (QalActPtc) to David H1732 to Ziklag, H6860 while he yet kept himself close H6113 (QalPasPtc) because H6440 of Saul H7586 the son H1121 of Kish: H7027 and they [were] among the mighty men, H1368 helpers H5826 (QalActPtc) of the war. H4421

And these are those coming in unto David to Ziklag, while shut up because of Saul son of Kish, and they are among the mighty ones, helping the battle,

Some of the children of Benjamin and Judah came to the stronghold to David.

And there came H935 (QalImpf) of the children H1121 of Benjamin H1144 and Judah H3063 to the hold H4679 unto David. H1732

And there come of the sons of Benjamin and Judah unto the stronghold to David,

David went out to meet them, and answered them, “If you have come peaceably to me to help me, my heart will be united with you; but if you have come to betray me to my adversaries, since there is no wrong in my hands, may the God of our fathers see this and rebuke it.”

And David H1732 went out H3318 (QalImpf) to meet H6440 them, and answered H6030 (QalImpf) and said H559 (QalImpf) unto them, If ye be come H935 (QalPerf) peaceably H7965 unto me to help H5826 (QalInf) me, mine heart H3824 shall be knit H3162 unto you: but if [ye be come] to betray H7411 (PielInf) me to mine enemies, H6862 seeing [there is] no H3808 wrong H2555 in mine hands, H3709 the God H430 of our fathers H1 look H7200 (QalImpf) [thereon], and rebuke H3198 (HiphImpf) [it].

and David goeth out before them, and answereth and saith to them, ‘If for peace ye have come in unto me, to help me, I have a heart to unite with you; and if to betray me to mine adversaries-without violence in my hands-the God of our fathers doth see and reprove.’

Some of Manasseh also joined David when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle, but they didn’t help them, for the lords of the Philistines sent him away after consultation, saying, “He will desert to his master Saul to the jeopardy of our heads.”

And there fell H5307 (QalPerf) [some] of Manasseh H4519 to David, H1732 when he came H935 (QalInf) with the Philistines H6430 against Saul H7586 to battle: H4421 but they helped H5826 (QalPerf) them not: for the lords H5633 of the Philistines H6430 upon advisement H6098 sent H7971 (PielPerf) him away, saying, H559 (QalInf) He will fall H5307 (QalImpf) to his master H113 Saul H7586 to [the jeopardy of] our heads. H7218

And of Manasseh there have fallen unto David in his coming with the Philistines against Israel to battle-and they helped them not, for by counsel the princes of the Philistines sent him away, saying, ‘With our heads he doth fall unto his master Saul.’-

For from day to day men came to David to help him, until there was a great army, like God’s army.

For at [that] time H6256 day H3117 by day H3117 there came H935 (QalImpf) to David H1732 to help H5826 (QalInf) him, until [it was] a great H1419 host, H4264 like the host H4264 of God. H430

for at that time, day by day, they come in unto David to help him, till it is a great camp, like a camp of God.

These are the numbers of the heads of those who were armed for war, who came to David to Hebron to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to Yahweh’s word.

And these [are] the numbers H4557 of the bands H7218 [that were] ready armed H2502 (QalPasPtc) to the war, H6635 [and] came H935 (QalPerf) to David H1732 to Hebron, H2275 to turn H5437 (HiphInf) the kingdom H4438 of Saul H7586 to him, according to the word H6310 of the Lord. H3068

And these are the numbers of the head, of the armed men of the host; they have come in unto David to Hebron to turn round the kingdom of Saul unto him, according to the mouth of Jehovah.

Of the half-tribe of Manasseh: eighteen thousand, who were mentioned by name, to come and make David king.

And of the half H2677 tribe H4294 of Manasseh H4519 eighteen H8083 H6240 thousand, H505 which were expressed H5344 (NiphPerf) by name, H8034 to come H935 (QalInf) and make David H1732 king. H4427 (HiphInf)

And of the half of the tribe of Manasseh are eighteen thousand, who have been defined by name, to come in to cause David to reign.

All these were men of war who could order the battle array, and came with a perfect heart to Hebron to make David king over all Israel; and all the rest also of Israel were of one heart to make David king.

All these men H582 of war, H4421 that could keep H5737 (QalActPtc) rank, H4634 came H935 (QalPerf) with a perfect H8003 heart H3820 to Hebron, H2275 to make David H1732 king H4427 (HiphInf) over all Israel: H3478 and all the rest H7611 also of Israel H3478 [were] of one H259 heart H3824 to make David H1732 king. H4427 (HiphInf)

All these are men of war, keeping rank-with a perfect heart they have come to Hebron, to cause David to reign over all Israel, and also all the rest of Israel are of one heart, to cause David to reign,

Moreover those who were near to them, as far as Issachar, Zebulun, and Naphtali, brought bread on donkeys, on camels, on mules, and on oxen: supplies of flour, cakes of figs, clusters of raisins, wine, oil, cattle, and sheep in abundance; for there was joy in Israel.

Moreover they that were nigh H7138 them, [even] unto Issachar H3485 and Zebulun H2074 and Naphtali, H5321 brought H935 (HiphPtc) bread H3899 on asses, H2543 and on camels, H1581 and on mules, H6505 and on oxen, H1241 [and] meat, H3978 meal, H7058 cakes H1690 of figs, and bunches of raisins, H6778 and wine, H3196 and oil, H8081 and oxen, H1241 and sheep H6629 abundantly: H7230 for [there was] joy H8057 in Israel. H3478

And also those near unto them, unto Issachar, and Zebulun, and Naphtali, are bringing in bread on asses, and on camels, and on mules, and on oxen-food of fine flour, fig-cakes and grape-cakes, and wine, and oil, and oxen, and sheep, in abundance, for joy is in Israel.

So David assembled all Israel together, from the Shihor River of Egypt even to the entrance of Hamath, to bring God’s ark from Kiriath Jearim.

So David H1732 gathered H6950 all Israel H3478 together, H6950 (HiphImpf) from Shihor H7883 of Egypt H4714 even unto the entering H935 (QalInf) of Hemath, H2574 to bring H935 (HiphInf) the ark H727 of God H430 from Kirjathjearim. H7157

And David assembleth all Israel from Shihor of Egypt even unto the entering in of Hamath, to bring in the ark of God from Kirjath-Jearim,

When they came to Chidon’s threshing floor, Uzza put out his hand to hold the ark, for the oxen stumbled.

And when they came H935 (QalImpf) unto the threshingfloor H1637 of Chidon, H3592 Uzza H5798 put forth H7971 (QalImpf) his hand H3027 to hold H270 (QalInf) the ark; H727 for the oxen H1241 stumbled. H8058 (QalPerf)

And they come in unto the threshing-floor of Chidon, and Uzza putteth forth his hand to seize the ark, for the oxen were released,

David was afraid of God that day, saying, “How can I bring God’s ark home to me?”

And David H1732 was afraid H3372 (QalImpf) of God H430 that day, H3117 saying, H559 (QalInf) How H1963 shall I bring H935 (HiphImpf) the ark H727 of God H430 [home] to me?

And David feareth God on that day, saying, ‘How do I bring in unto me the ark of God?’

Now the Philistines had come and made a raid in the valley of Rephaim.

And the Philistines H6430 came H935 (QalPerf) and spread H6584 (QalImpf) themselves in the valley H6010 of Rephaim. H7497

And the Philistines have come, and rush into the valley of Rephaim,

David inquired again of God; and God said to him, “You shall not go up after them. Turn away from them, and come on them opposite the mulberry trees.

Therefore David H1732 enquired H7592 (QalImpf) again of God; H430 and God H430 said H559 (QalImpf) unto him, Go not up H5927 (QalImpf) after H310 them; turn away H5437 (HiphImpv) from them, and come H935 (QalPerf) upon them over against H4136 the mulberry trees. H1057

and David asketh again of God, and God saith to him, ‘Do not go up after them, turn round from them, and thou hast come to them from over-against the mulberries;

As the ark of Yahweh’s covenant came to David’s city, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out at the window, and saw king David dancing and playing; and she despised him in her heart.

And it came to pass, [as] the ark H727 of the covenant H1285 of the Lord H3068 came H935 (QalPerf) to the city H5892 of David, H1732 that Michal H4324 the daughter H1323 of Saul H7586 looking out H8259 (NiphPerf) at a window H2474 saw H7200 (QalImpf) king H4428 David H1732 dancing H7540 (PielPtc) and playing: H7832 (PielPtc) and she despised H959 (QalImpf) him in her heart. H3820

and it cometh to pass, the ark of the covenant of Jehovah is entering in unto the city of David, and Michal daughter of Saul is looking through the window, and seeth king David dancing and playing, and despiseth him in her heart.

They brought in God’s ark, and set it in the middle of the tent that David had pitched for it; and they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before God.

So they brought H935 (HiphImpf) the ark H727 of God, H430 and set H3322 (HiphImpf) it in the midst H8432 of the tent H168 that David H1732 had pitched H5186 (QalPerf) for it: and they offered H7126 (HiphImpf) burnt sacrifices H5930 and peace offerings H8002 before H6440 God. H430

And they bring in the ark of God, and set it up in the midst of the tent that David hath stretched out for it, and they bring near burnt-offerings and peace-offerings before God;

Ascribe to Yahweh the glory due to his name. Bring an offering, and come before him. Worship Yahweh in holy array.

Give H3051 (QalImpv) unto the Lord H3068 the glory H3519 [due] unto his name: H8034 bring H5375 (QalImpv) an offering, H4503 and come H935 (QalImpv) before H6440 him: worship H7812 (HithImpv) the Lord H3068 in the beauty H1927 of holiness. H6944

Ascribe to Jehovah the honour of His name, Lift up a present, and come before Him. Bow yourselves to Jehovah, In the beauty of holiness.

Then the trees of the forest will sing for joy before Yahweh, for he comes to judge the earth.

Then shall the trees H6086 of the wood H3293 sing out H7442 (PielImpf) at the presence H6440 of the Lord, H3068 because he cometh H935 (QalPerf) to judge H8199 (QalInf) the earth. H776

Then sing do trees of the forest, From the presence of Jehovah, For He hath come to judge the earth!

Then David the king went in and sat before Yahweh; and he said, “Who am I, Yahweh God, and what is my house, that you have brought me this far?

And David H1732 the king H4428 came H935 (QalImpf) and sat H3427 (QalImpf) before H6440 the Lord, H3068 and said, H559 (QalImpf) Who [am] I, O Lord H3068 God, H430 and what [is] mine house, H1004 that thou hast brought H935 (HiphPerf) me hitherto? H1988

And David the king cometh in and sitteth before Jehovah, and saith, ‘Who am I, O Jehovah God, and what my house, that Thou hast brought me hitherto?

When the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadadezer king of Zobah, David struck twenty-two thousand men of the Syrians.

And when the Syrians H758 of Damascus H1834 came H935 (QalImpf) to help H5826 (QalInf) Hadarezer H1928 king H4428 of Zobah, H6678 David H1732 slew H5221 (HiphImpf) of the Syrians H758 two H8147 and twenty H6242 thousand H505 men. H376

And Aram of Damascus cometh in to give help to Hadarezer king of Zobah, and David smiteth in Aram twenty and two thousand men,

David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.

And David H1732 took H3947 (QalImpf) the shields H7982 of gold H2091 that were on the servants H5650 of Hadarezer, H1928 and brought H935 (HiphImpf) them to Jerusalem. H3389

And David taketh the shields of gold that have been on the servants of Hadarezer, and bringeth them in to Jerusalem;

David said, “I will show kindness to Hanun the son of Nahash, because his father showed kindness to me.” So David sent messengers to comfort him concerning his father. David’s servants came into the land of the children of Ammon to Hanun to comfort him.

And David H1732 said, H559 (QalImpf) I will shew H6213 (QalImpf) kindness H2617 unto Hanun H2586 the son H1121 of Nahash, H5176 because his father H1 shewed H6213 (QalPerf) kindness H2617 to me. And David H1732 sent H7971 (QalImpf) messengers H4397 to comfort H5162 (PielInf) him concerning his father. H1 So the servants H5650 of David H1732 came H935 (QalImpf) into the land H776 of the children H1121 of Ammon H5983 to Hanun, H2586 to comfort H5162 (PielInf) him.

and David saith, ‘I do kindness with Hanun son of Nahash, for his father did with me kindness;’ and David sendeth messengers to comfort him concerning his father. And the servants of David come in unto the land of the sons of Ammon, unto Hanun, to comfort him,

But the princes of the children of Ammon said to Hanun, “Do you think that David honors your father, in that he has sent comforters to you? Haven’t his servants come to you to search, to overthrow, and to spy out the land?”

But the princes H8269 of the children H1121 of Ammon H5983 said H559 (QalImpf) to Hanun, H2586 Thinkest H5869 thou that David H1732 doth honour H3513 (PielPtc) thy father, H1 that he hath sent H7971 (QalPerf) comforters H5162 (PielPtc) unto thee? are not his servants H5650 come H935 (QalPerf) unto thee for to search, H2713 (QalInf) and to overthrow, H2015 (QalInf) and to spy out H7270 (PielInf) the land? H776

and the heads of the sons of Ammon say to Hanun, ‘Is David honouring thy father, in thine eyes, because he hath sent to thee comforters? in order to search, and to overthrow, and to spy out, the land, have not his servants come in unto thee?’

So they hired for themselves thirty-two thousand chariots, and the king of Maacah with his people, who came and encamped near Medeba. The children of Ammon gathered themselves together from their cities, and came to battle.

So they hired H7936 (QalImpf) thirty H7970 and two H8147 thousand H505 chariots, H7393 and the king H4428 of Maachah H4601 and his people; H5971 who came H935 (QalImpf) and pitched H2583 (QalImpf) before H6440 Medeba. H4311 And the children H1121 of Ammon H5983 gathered themselves together H622 (NiphPerf) from their cities, H5892 and came H935 (QalImpf) to battle. H4421

and they hire to them two and thirty thousand chariots, and the king of Maachah and his people, and they come in and encamp before Medeba, and the sons of Ammon have been gathered out of their cities, and come in to the battle.

The children of Ammon came out, and put the battle in array at the gate of the city; and the kings who had come were by themselves in the field.

And the children H1121 of Ammon H5983 came out, H3318 (QalImpf) and put the battle H4421 in array H6186 (QalImpf) before the gate H6607 of the city: H5892 and the kings H4428 that were come H935 (QalPerf) [were] by themselves in the field. H7704

and the sons of Ammon come out and set battle in array at the opening of the city, and the kings who have come are by themselves in the field.

When the children of Ammon saw that the Syrians had fled, they likewise fled before Abishai his brother, and entered into the city. Then Joab came to Jerusalem.

And when the children H1121 of Ammon H5983 saw H7200 (QalPerf) that the Syrians H758 were fled, H5127 (QalPerf) they likewise fled H5127 (QalImpf) before H6440 Abishai H52 his brother, H251 and entered H935 (QalImpf) into the city. H5892 Then Joab H3097 came H935 (QalImpf) to Jerusalem. H3389

and the sons of Ammon have seen that Aram hath fled, and they flee-they also-from the face of Abishai his brother, and go in to the city. And Joab cometh in to Jerusalem.

David was told that, so he gathered all Israel together, passed over the Jordan, came to them, and set the battle in array against them. So when David had put the battle in array against the Syrians, they fought with him.

And it was told H5046 (HophImpf) David; H1732 and he gathered H622 (QalImpf) all Israel, H3478 and passed over H5674 (QalImpf) Jordan, H3383 and came H935 (QalImpf) upon them, and set [the battle] in array H6186 (QalImpf) against them. So when David H1732 had put the battle H4421 in array H6186 (QalImpf) against H7125 (QalInf) the Syrians, H758 they fought H3898 (NiphImpf) with him.

And it is declared to David, and he gathereth all Israel, and passeth over the Jordan, and cometh in unto them, and setteth in array against them; yea, David setteth in array the battle to meet Aram, and they fight with him;

At the time of the return of the year, at the time when kings go out, Joab led out the army and wasted the country of the children of Ammon, and came and besieged Rabbah. But David stayed at Jerusalem. Joab struck Rabbah, and overthrew it.

And it came to pass, that after H6256 the year H8141 was expired, H8666 at the time H6256 that kings H4428 go out H3318 (QalInf) [to battle], Joab H3097 led forth H5090 (QalImpf) the power H2428 of the army, H6635 and wasted H7843 (HiphImpf) the country H776 of the children H1121 of Ammon, H5983 and came H935 (QalImpf) and besieged H6696 (QalImpf) Rabbah. H7237 But David H1732 tarried H3427 (QalActPtc) at Jerusalem. H3389 And Joab H3097 smote H5221 (HiphImpf) Rabbah, H7237 and destroyed H2040 (QalImpf) it.

And it cometh to pass, at the time of the turn of the year-at the time of the going out of the messengers-that Joab leadeth out the force of the host, and destroyeth the land of the sons of Ammon, and cometh in and beseigeth Rabbah-David is abiding in Jerusalem-and Joab smiteth Rabbah, and breaketh it down.

David said to Joab and to the princes of the people, “Go, count Israel from Beersheba even to Dan; and bring me word, that I may know how many there are.”

And David H1732 said H559 (QalImpf) to Joab H3097 and to the rulers H8269 of the people, H5971 Go, H3212 (QalImpv) number H5608 (QalImpv) Israel H3478 from Beersheba H884 even to Dan; H1835 and bring H935 (HiphImpv) the number H4557 of them to me, that I may know H3045 (QalImpf) [it].

And David saith unto Joab, and unto the heads of the people, ‘Go, number Israel from Beer-Sheba even unto Dan, and bring unto me, and I know their number.’

Nevertheless the king’s word prevailed against Joab. Therefore Joab departed and went throughout all Israel, then came to Jerusalem.

Nevertheless the king’s H4428 word H1697 prevailed H2388 (QalPerf) against Joab. H3097 Wherefore Joab H3097 departed, H3318 (QalImpf) and went H1980 (HithImpf) throughout all Israel, H3478 and came H935 (QalImpf) to Jerusalem. H3389

As David came to Ornan, Ornan looked and saw David, and went out of the threshing floor, and bowed himself to David with his face to the ground.

And David cometh in unto Ornan, and Ornan looketh attentively, and seeth David, and goeth out from the threshing-floor, and boweth himself to David-face to the earth.

and cedar trees without number, for the Sidonians and the people of Tyre brought cedar trees in abundance to David.

And cedar-trees even without number, for the Zidonians and the Tyrians brought in cedar-trees in abundance to David.

Now set your heart and your soul to follow Yahweh your God. Arise therefore, and build the sanctuary of Yahweh God, to bring the ark of Yahweh’s covenant and the holy vessels of God into the house that is to be built for Yahweh’s name.”

‘Now, give your heart and your soul to seek to Jehovah your God, and rise and build the sanctuary of Jehovah God, to bring in the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, and the holy vessels of God, to the house that is built to the name of Jehovah.’

This was their ordering in their service, to come into Yahweh’s house according to the ordinance given to them by Aaron their father, as Yahweh, the God of Israel, had commanded him.

These are their appointments for their service, to come in to the house of Jehovah, according to their ordinance by the hand of Aaron their father, as Jehovah God of Israel, commanded them.

And the sons of Israel, after their number, heads of the fathers, and princes of the thousands and of the hundreds, and their officers, those serving the king in any matter of the courses, that are coming in and going out month by month, throughout all months of the year-are in each course twenty and four thousand.

Now give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this great people of yours?”

So Solomon came from the high place that was at Gibeon, from before the Tent of Meeting, to Jerusalem; and he reigned over Israel.

Then Solomon H8010 came H935 (QalImpf) [from his journey] to the high place H1116 that [was] at Gibeon H1391 to Jerusalem, H3389 from before H6440 the tabernacle H168 of the congregation, H4150 and reigned H4427 (QalImpf) over Israel. H3478

And Solomon cometh in from the high place that is in Gibeon to Jerusalem, from before the tent of meeting, and reigneth over Israel,

and we will cut wood out of Lebanon, as much as you need. We will bring it to you in rafts by sea to Joppa; then you shall carry it up to Jerusalem.”

and we-we cut trees out of Lebanon, according to all thy need, and bring them in to thee-floats by sea, to Joppa, and thou dost take them up to Jerusalem.’

Thus all the work that Solomon did for Yahweh’s house was finished. Solomon brought in the things that David his father had dedicated, even the silver, the gold, and all the vessels, and put them in the treasuries of God’s house.

Thus all the work H4399 that Solomon H8010 made H6213 (QalPerf) for the house H1004 of the Lord H3068 was finished: H7999 (QalImpf) and Solomon H8010 brought H935 (HiphImpf) in [all] the things H6944 that David H1732 his father H1 had dedicated; H6944 and the silver, H3701 and the gold, H2091 and all the instruments, H3627 put H5414 (QalPerf) he among the treasures H214 of the house H1004 of God. And all the work that Solomon made for the house of Jehovah is finished, and Solomon bringeth in the sanctified things of David his father, and the silver, and the gold, and all the vessels he hath put among the treasures of the house of God.
