They will not build and another inhabit. They will not plant and another eat; for the days of my people will be like the days of a tree, and my chosen will long enjoy the work of their hands.

I will utter my judgments against them concerning all their wickedness, in that they have forsaken me, and have burned incense to other gods, and worshiped the works of their own hands.

και λαλησω προς αυτους μετα κρισεως περι πασης της κακιας αυτων ως εγκατελιπον με και εθυσαν θεοις αλλοτριοις και προσεκυνησαν τοις εργοις των χειρων αυτων

“They say, ‘If a man puts away his wife, and she goes from him, and becomes another man’s, should he return to her again?’ Wouldn’t that land be greatly polluted? But you have played the prostitute with many lovers; yet return again to me,” says Yahweh.

Will you steal, murder, commit adultery, swear falsely, burn incense to Baal, and walk after other gods that you have not known,

και φονευετε και μοιχασθε και κλεπτετε και ομνυετε επ αδικω και εθυμιατε τη βααλ και επορευεσθε οπισω θεων αλλοτριων ων ουκ οιδατε του κακως ειναι υμιν

The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead the dough, to make cakes to the queen of the sky, and to pour out drink offerings to other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.

Therefore I will give their wives to others and their fields to those who will possess them. For everyone from the least even to the greatest is given to covetousness; from the prophet even to the priest everyone deals falsely.

They have turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, who refused to hear my words. They have gone after other gods to serve them. The house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers.

επεστραφησαν επι τας αδικιας των πατερων αυτων των προτερον οι ουκ ηθελον εισακουσαι των λογων μου και ιδου αυτοι βαδιζουσιν οπισω θεων αλλοτριων του δουλευειν αυτοις και διεσκεδασαν οικος ισραηλ και οικος ιουδα την διαθηκην μου ην διεθεμην προς τους πατερας αυτων

This evil people, who refuse to hear my words, who walk in the stubbornness of their heart, and have gone after other gods to serve them and to worship them, will even be as this belt, which is profitable for nothing.

την πολλην ταυτην υβριν τους μη βουλομενους υπακουειν των λογων μου και πορευθεντας οπισω θεων αλλοτριων του δουλευειν αυτοις και του προσκυνειν αυτοις και εσονται ωσπερ το περιζωμα τουτο ο ου χρησθησεται εις ουθεν

then you shall tell them, ‘Because your fathers have forsaken me,’ says Yahweh, ‘and have walked after other gods, have served them, have worshiped them, have forsaken me, and have not kept my law.

Therefore I will cast you out of this land into the land that you have not known, neither you nor your fathers. There you will serve other gods day and night, for I will show you no favor.’

When the vessel that he made of the clay was marred in the hand of the potter, he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.

και διεπεσεν το αγγειον ο αυτος εποιει εν ταις χερσιν αυτου και παλιν αυτος εποιησεν αυτο αγγειον ετερον καθως ηρεσεν ενωπιον αυτου του ποιησαι

I will cast you out with your mother who bore you into another country, where you were not born; and there you will die.

μη πορευεσθε οπισω θεων αλλοτριων του δουλευειν αυτοις και του προσκυνειν αυτοις οπως μη παροργιζητε με εν τοις εργοις των χειρων υμων του κακωσαι υμας

The Chaldeans, who fight against this city, will come and set this city on fire, and burn it with the houses on whose roofs they have offered incense to Baal, and poured out drink offerings to other gods, to provoke me to anger.

And the Chaldeans, H3778 that fight H3898 (NiphPtc) against this city, H5892 shall come H935 (QalPerf) and set H3341 (HiphPerf) fire H784 on this city, H5892 and burn H8313 (QalPerf) it with the houses, H1004 upon whose roofs H1406 they have offered incense H6999 (PielPerf) unto Baal, H1168 and poured out H5258 (HiphPerf) drink offerings H5262 unto other H312 gods, H430 to provoke me to anger. because of their wickedness which they have committed to provoke me to anger, in that they went to burn incense, to serve other gods that they didn’t know, neither they, nor you, nor your fathers.

^[51:3] απο προσωπου πονηριας αυτων ης εποιησαν παραπικραναι με πορευθεντες θυμιαν θεοις ετεροις οις ουκ εγνωτε

But they didn’t listen and didn’t incline their ear. They didn’t turn from their wickedness, to stop burning incense to other gods.

But they hearkened H8085 (QalPerf) not, nor inclined H5186 (HiphPerf) their ear H241 to turn H7725 (QalInf) from their wickedness, H7451 to burn no incense H6999 (PielInf) unto other H312 gods. H430

^[51:5] και ουκ ηκουσαν μου και ουκ εκλιναν το ους αυτων αποστρεψαι απο των κακων αυτων προς το μη θυμιαν θεοις ετεροις

in that you provoke me to anger with the works of your hands, burning incense to other gods in the land of Egypt where you have gone to live, that you may be cut off, and that you may be a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth?
