η συνταγμα κυριου ακηκοας εις δε σε αφικετο σοφια

“I will show you, listen to me; that which I have seen I will declare

αναγγελω δε σοι ακουε μου α δη εωρακα αναγγελω σοι

“I have heard many such things. You are all miserable comforters!

Job 16:2 Or, troublesome

ακηκοα τοιαυτα πολλα παρακλητορες κακων παντες

I have heard the reproof which puts me to shame. The spirit of my understanding answers me.

ευξαμενου δε σου προς αυτον εισακουσεται σου δωσει δε σοι αποδουναι τας ευχας

Behold, these are but the outskirts of his ways. How small a whisper do we hear of him! But the thunder of his power who can understand?”

Job 34:10 Heb. men of heart

διο συνετοι καρδιας ακουσατε μου μη μοι ειη εναντι κυριου ασεβησαι και εναντι παντοκρατορος ταραξαι το δικαιον

“If now you have understanding, hear this. Listen to the voice of my words.

Job 34:34 Heb. of heart

διο συνετοι καρδιας ερουσιν ταυτα ανηρ δε σοφος ακηκοεν μου το ρημα

Surely God will not hear an empty cry, neither will the Almighty regard it.

ατοπα γαρ ου βουλεται ο κυριος ιδειν αυτος γαρ ο παντοκρατωρ ορατης εστιν

If they listen and serve him, they will spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.

But if they don’t listen, they will perish by the sword; they will die without knowledge.

καταγελων πολυοχλιας πολεως μεμψιν δε φορολογου ουκ ακουων

You said, ‘Listen, now, and I will speak; I will question you, and you will answer me.’

Yahweh, you have heard the desire of the humble. You will prepare their heart. You will cause your ear to hear,

Hear, Yahweh, my righteous plea. Give ear to my prayer that doesn’t go out of deceitful lips.

^[16:1] προσευχη του δαυιδ εισακουσον κυριε της δικαιοσυνης μου προσχες τη δεησει μου ενωτισαι της προσευχης μου ουκ εν χειλεσιν δολιοις

I have called on you, for you will answer me, God. Turn your ear to me. Hear my speech.

In my distress I called on Yahweh, and cried to my God. He heard my voice out of his temple. My cry before him came into his ears.

As soon as they hear of me they shall obey me. The foreigners shall submit themselves to me.
