He said, “Blessed be Yahweh, the God of my master Abraham, who has not forsaken his loving kindness and his truth toward my master. As for me, Yahweh has led me on the way to the house of my master’s relatives.”

περι δε του δευτερωσαι το ενυπνιον φαραω δις οτι αληθες εσται το ρημα το παρα του θεου και ταχυνει ο θεος του ποιησαι αυτο

“ ‘If your brother has grown poor among you, and sells himself to you, you shall not make him to serve as a slave.

εαν δε ταπεινωθη ο αδελφος σου παρα σοι και πραθη σοι ου δουλευσει σοι δουλειαν οικετου

Moreover, of the children of the aliens who live among you, of them you may buy, and of their families who are with you, which they have conceived in your land; and they will be your property.

“ ‘If an alien or temporary resident with you becomes rich, and your brother beside him has grown poor, and sells himself to the stranger or foreigner living among you, or to a member of the stranger’s family,

εαν δε ευρη η χειρ του προσηλυτου η του παροικου του παρα σοι και απορηθεις ο αδελφος σου πραθη τω προσηλυτω η τω παροικω τω παρα σοι εκ γενετης προσηλυτω

“ ‘If you walk contrary to me, and won’t listen to me, then I will bring seven times more plagues on you according to your sins.

And if ye walk H3212 (QalImpf) contrary H7147 unto me, and will H14 (QalImpf) not hearken H8085 (QalInf) unto me; I will bring H3254 seven times H7651 more H3254 (QalPerf) plagues H4347 upon you according to your sins. H2403

και εαν μετα ταυτα πορευησθε πλαγιοι και μη βουλησθε υπακουειν μου προσθησω υμιν πληγας επτα κατα τας αμαρτιας υμων

“ ‘If by these things you won’t be turned back to me, but will walk contrary to me,

And if ye will not be reformed H3256 (NiphImpf) by me by these things, but will walk H1980 (QalPerf) contrary H7147 unto me;

και επι τουτοις εαν μη παιδευθητε αλλα πορευησθε προς με πλαγιοι

then I will also walk contrary to you; and I will strike you, even I, seven times for your sins.

Then will I also walk H1980 (QalPerf) contrary H7147 unto you, and will punish H5221 (HiphPerf) you yet H1571 seven times H7651 for your sins. H2403

πορευσομαι καγω μεθ υμων θυμω πλαγιω και παταξω υμας καγω επτακις αντι των αμαρτιων υμων

“ ‘If you in spite of this won’t listen to me, but walk contrary to me,

And if ye will not for all this H2063 hearken H8085 (QalImpf) unto me, but walk H1980 (QalPerf) contrary H7147 unto me;

εαν δε επι τουτοις μη υπακουσητε μου και πορευησθε προς με πλαγιοι

then I will walk contrary to you in wrath. I will also chastise you seven times for your sins.

Then I will walk H1980 (QalPerf) contrary H7147 unto you also in fury; H2534 and I, even H637 I, will chastise H3256 (PielPerf) you seven times H7651 for your sins. H2403

και αυτος πορευσομαι μεθ υμων εν θυμω πλαγιω και παιδευσω υμας εγω επτακις κατα τας αμαρτιας υμων

“ ‘If they confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their fathers, in their trespass which they trespassed against me; and also that because they walked contrary to me,

I also walked contrary to them, and brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised heart is humbled, and they then accept the punishment of their iniquity,

But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and has followed me fully, him I will bring into the land into which he went. His offspring shall possess it.

ο δε παις μου χαλεβ οτι εγενηθη πνευμα ετερον εν αυτω και επηκολουθησεν μοι εισαξω αυτον εις την γην εις ην εισηλθεν εκει και το σπερμα αυτου κληρονομησει αυτην

You shall consider in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so Yahweh your God disciplines you.

και γνωση τη καρδια σου οτι ως ει τις παιδευσαι ανθρωπος τον υιον αυτου ουτως κυριος ο θεος σου παιδευσει σε

Remember, and don’t forget, how you provoked Yahweh your God to wrath in the wilderness. From the day that you left the land of Egypt until you came to this place, you have been rebellious against Yahweh.

Remember, H2142 (QalImpv) [and] forget H7911 (QalImpf) not, how thou provokedst the Lord H3068 thy God H430 to wrath H7107 (HiphPerf) in the wilderness: H4057 from H4480 the day H3117 that thou didst depart out H3318 (QalPerf) of the land H776 of Egypt, H4714 until ye came H935 (QalInf) unto this place, H4725 ye have been rebellious H4784 (HiphPtc) against H5973 the Lord. μνησθητι μη επιλαθη οσα παρωξυνας κυριον τον θεον σου εν τη ερημω αφ ης ημερας εξηλθετε εξ αιγυπτου εως ηλθετε εις τον τοπον τουτον απειθουντες διετελειτε τα προς κυριον

You have been rebellious against Yahweh from the day that I knew you.

Ye have been rebellious H4784 (HiphPtc) against the Lord H3068 from the day H3117 that I knew H3045 (QalInf) you.

απειθουντες ητε τα προς κυριον απο της ημερας ης εγνωσθη υμιν

You shall not forsake the Levite who is within your gates, for he has no portion nor inheritance with you.

και ο λευιτης ο εν ταις πολεσιν σου οτι ουκ εστιν αυτω μερις ουδε κληρος μετα σου

The Levite, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you, as well as the foreigner living among you, the fatherless, and the widow who are within your gates shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that Yahweh your God may bless you in all the work of your hand which you do.

And the Levite, H3881 (because he hath no part H2506 nor inheritance H5159 with thee,) and the stranger, H1616 and the fatherless, H3490 and the widow, H490 which [are] within thy gates, H8179 shall come, H935 (QalPerf) and shall eat H398 (QalPerf) and be satisfied; H7646 (QalPerf) that the Lord H3068 thy God H430 may bless H1288 (PielImpf) thee in all the work H4639 of thine hand H3027 which thou doest. και ελευσεται ο λευιτης οτι ουκ εστιν αυτω μερις ουδε κληρος μετα σου και ο προσηλυτος και ο ορφανος και η χηρα η εν ταις πολεσιν σου και φαγονται και εμπλησθησονται ινα ευλογηση σε κυριος ο θεος σου εν πασιν τοις εργοις οις εαν ποιης

You shall be blameless with Yahweh your God.

Thou shalt be perfect H8549 with the Lord H3068 thy God. H430

τελειος εση εναντιον κυριου του θεου σου

for Yahweh your God is he who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.”

For the Lord H3068 your God H430 [is] he that goeth H1980 (QalActPtc) with you, to fight H3898 (NiphInf) for you against your enemies, H341 (QalActPtc) to save H3467 (HiphInf) you.

οτι κυριος ο θεος υμων ο προπορευομενος μεθ υμων συνεκπολεμησαι υμιν τους εχθρους υμων διασωσαι υμας

If it will make no peace with you, but will make war against you, then you shall besiege it.

And if it will make no peace H7999 (HiphImpf) with thee, but will make H6213 (QalPerf) war H4421 against thee, then thou shalt besiege H6696 (QalPerf) it:

εαν δε μη υπακουσωσιν σοι και ποιησωσιν προς σε πολεμον περικαθιεις αυτην

For I know your rebellion and your stiff neck. Behold, while I am yet alive with you today, you have been rebellious against Yahweh. How much more after my death?

οτι εγω επισταμαι τον ερεθισμον σου και τον τραχηλον σου τον σκληρον ετι γαρ εμου ζωντος μεθ υμων σημερον παραπικραινοντες ητε τα προς τον θεον πως ουχι και εσχατον του θανατου μου

When the children of Ammon made war against Israel, the elders of Gilead went to get Jephthah out of the land of Tob.

και εγενηθη ηνικα επολεμουν οι υιοι αμμων μετα ισραηλ και επορευθησαν οι πρεσβυτεροι γαλααδ παραλαβειν τον ιεφθαε εν γη τωβ

αυτων οντων παρα τω οικω μιχα και αυτοι επεγνωσαν την φωνην του παιδαριου του νεωτερου του λευιτου και εξεκλιναν εκει και ειπαν αυτω τις ηγαγεν σε ωδε και τι ποιεις ενταυθα και τι σοι εστιν ωδε

αυτων δε μεμακρυγκοτων απο του οικου μιχα και ιδου μιχα και οι ανδρες οι συν τω οικω μετα μιχα εκραζον κατοπισω υιων δαν

The children of Dan said to him, “Don’t let your voice be heard among us, lest angry fellows fall on you, and you lose your life, with the lives of your household.”

και ειπον προς αυτον οι υιοι δαν μη ακουσθητω δη η φωνη σου μεθ ημων μηποτε απαντησωσιν υμιν ανδρες κατωδυνοι ψυχη και προσθησεις την ψυχην σου και την ψυχην του οικου σου
