Behold, six men came from the way of the upper gate, which lies toward the north, every man with his slaughter weapon in his hand. One man in the middle of them was clothed in linen, with a writer’s inkhorn by his side. They went in, and stood beside the bronze altar.

And, behold, six H8337 men H582 came H935 (QalActPtc) from the way H1870 of the higher H5945 gate, H8179 which lieth H6437 (HophPtc) toward the north, H6828 and every man H376 a slaughter H4660 weapon H3627 in his hand; H3027 and one H259 man H376 among H8432 them [was] clothed H3847 (QalPasPtc) with linen, H906 with a writer’s H5608 (QalActPtc) inkhorn H7083 by his side: H4975 and they went in, H935 (QalImpf) and stood H5975 (QalImpf) beside H681 the brasen H5178 altar. And lo, six men are coming from the way of the upper gate, that is facing the north, and each his slaughter-weapon in his hand, and one man in their midst is clothed with linen, and a scribe’s inkhorn at his loins, and they come in, and stand near the brazen altar.

The cherub stretched out his hand from between the cherubim to the fire that was between the cherubim, and took some of it, and put it into the hands of him who was clothed in linen, who took it and went out.

And [one] cherub H3742 stretched forth H7971 (QalImpf) his hand H3027 from between the cherubims H3742 unto the fire H784 that [was] between the cherubims, H3742 and took H5375 (QalImpf) [thereof], and put H5414 (QalImpf) [it] into the hands H2651 of [him that was] clothed H3847 (QalPasPtc) with linen: H906 who took H3947 (QalImpf) [it], and went out. that the one cherub putteth forth his hand from between the cherubs unto the fire that is between the cherubs, and lifteth up, and giveth into the hands of him who is clothed with linen, and he receiveth, and cometh forth.

The form of a man’s hand appeared here in the cherubim under their wings.

And there appeared H7200 (NiphImpf) in the cherubims H3742 the form H8403 of a man’s H120 hand H3027 under their wings. H3671

And there appeareth in the cherubs the form of a hand of man under their wings,

Their whole body, including their backs, their hands, their wings, and the wheels, were full of eyes all around, even the wheels that the four of them had.

And their whole body, H1320 and their backs, H1354 and their hands, H3027 and their wings, H3671 and the wheels, H212 [were] full H4392 of eyes H5869 round about, H5439 [even] the wheels H212 that they four H702 had.

And all their flesh, and their backs, and their hands, and their wings, and the wheels, are full of eyes round about; to them four are their wheels.

Every one had four faces, and every one four wings. The likeness of the hands of a man was under their wings.

Every one H259 had four H702 faces H6440 apiece, H259 and every one H259 four H702 wings; H3671 and the likeness H1823 of the hands H3027 of a man H120 [was] under their wings. H3671

Four faces are to each, and four wings to each, and the likeness of the hands of man is under their wings.

“I will bring you out of the middle of it, and deliver you into the hands of strangers, and will execute judgments among you.

And I will bring you out H3318 (HiphPerf) of the midst H8432 thereof, and deliver H5414 (QalPerf) you into the hands H3027 of strangers, H2114 (QalPtc) and will execute H6213 (QalPerf) judgments H8201 among you.

And I have brought you out of its midst, And given you into the hand of strangers, And I have done among you judgments.

I did so as I was commanded. I brought out my baggage by day, as baggage for moving, and in the evening I dug through the wall with my hand. I brought it out in the dark, and bore it on my shoulder in their sight.

And I do so, as I have been commanded; my vessels I have brought forth as vessels of removal by day, and at even I have dug for me through the wall with the hand; in the darkness I have brought forth, on the shoulder I have borne away, before their eyes.

“My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and who utter lying divinations. They will not be in the council of my people, neither will they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither will they enter into the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Lord Yahweh.”

And mine hand H3027 shall be upon the prophets H5030 that see H2374 vanity, H7723 and that divine H7080 (QalActPtc) lies: H3577 they shall not be in the assembly H5475 of my people, H5971 neither shall they be written H3789 (NiphImpf) in the writing H3791 of the house H1004 of Israel, H3478 neither shall they enter H935 (QalImpf) into the land H127 of Israel; H3478 and ye shall know H3045 (QalPerf) that I [am] the Lord H136 God. And My hand hath been on the prophets, Who are seeing vanity, and who are divining a lie, In the assembly of My people they are not, And in the writing of the house of Israel they are not written, And unto the ground of Israel they come not, And ye have known that I am the Lord Jehovah.

and say, “The Lord Yahweh says: ‘Woe to the women who sew magic bands on all elbows and make veils for the head of persons of every stature to hunt souls! Will you hunt the souls of my people and save souls alive for yourselves?

And say, H559 (QalPerf) Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H136 God; H3069 Woe H1945 to the [women] that sew H8609 (PielPtc) pillows H3704 to all armholes, H679 H3027 and make H6213 (QalActPtc) kerchiefs H4555 upon the head H7218 of every stature H6967 to hunt H6679 (PoelInf) souls! H5315 Will ye hunt H6679 (PoelImpf) the souls H5315 of my people, H5971 and will ye save H2421 the souls H5315 alive H2421 (PielImpf) [that come] unto you?

And thou hast said: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Woe to those sowing pillows for all joints of the arm, And to those making the kerchiefs For the head of every stature-to hunt souls, The souls do ye hunt of My people? And the souls ye have do ye keep alive?

I will also tear your veils and deliver my people out of your hand; and they will no longer be in your hand to be ensnared. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.

Your kerchiefs H4555 also will I tear, H7167 (QalPerf) and deliver H5337 (HiphPerf) my people H5971 out of your hand, H3027 and they shall be no more in your hand H3027 to be hunted; H4686 and ye shall know H3045 (QalPerf) that I [am] the Lord. H3068

And I have torn your kerchiefs, And delivered My people out of your hand, And they are no more in your hand for a prey, And ye have known that I am Jehovah.

Because with lies you have grieved the heart of the righteous, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, and be saved alive.

Because with lies H8267 ye have made the heart H3820 of the righteous H6662 sad, H3512 (HiphInf) whom I have not made sad; H3510 (HiphPerf) and strengthened H2388 (PielInf) the hands H3027 of the wicked, H7451 that he should not return H7725 (QalInf) from his wicked H7563 way, H1870 by promising him life: H2421 (HiphInf)

Because of paining the heart of the righteous with falsehood, And I have not pained it, And strengthening the hands of the wicked, So as not to turn back from his evil way, To keep him alive,

Therefore you shall no more see false visions nor practice divination. I will deliver my people out of your hand. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.’ ”

Therefore ye shall see H2372 (QalImpf) no more vanity, H7723 nor divine H7080 (QalImpf) divinations: H7081 for I will deliver H5337 (HiphPerf) my people H5971 out of your hand: H3027 and ye shall know H3045 (QalPerf) that I [am] the Lord. H3068

Therefore, vanity ye do not see, And divination ye do not divine again, And I have delivered My people out of your hand, And ye have known that I am Jehovah!’

“ ‘ “If the prophet is deceived and speaks a word, I, Yahweh, have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand on him, and will destroy him from among my people Israel.

And if the prophet H5030 be deceived H6601 (PualImpf) when he hath spoken H1696 (PielPerf) a thing, H1697 I the Lord H3068 have deceived H6601 (PielPerf) that prophet, H5030 and I will stretch out H5186 (QalPerf) my hand H3027 upon him, and will destroy H8045 (HiphPerf) him from the midst H8432 of my people H5971 Israel. H3478

‘And the prophet, when he is enticed, and hath spoken a word-I, Jehovah, I have enticed that prophet, and have stretched out My hand against him, and have destroyed him from the midst of My people Israel.

“Son of man, when a land sins against me by committing a trespass, and I stretch out my hand on it, and break the staff of its bread and send famine on it, and cut off from it man and animal—

Son H1121 of man, H120 when the land H776 sinneth H2398 (QalImpf) against me by trespassing H4603 (QalInf) grievously, H4604 then will I stretch out H5186 (QalPerf) mine hand H3027 upon it, and will break H7665 (QalPerf) the staff H4294 of the bread H3899 thereof, and will send H7971 (HiphPerf) famine H7458 upon it, and will cut off H3772 (HiphPerf) man H120 and beast H929 from it:

‘Son of man, the land-when it sinneth against Me to commit a trespass, and I have stretched out My hand against it, and broken for it the staff of bread, and sent into it famine, and cut off from it man and beast-

I decked you with ornaments, put bracelets on your hands, and put a chain on your neck.

I decked H5710 (QalImpf) thee also with ornaments, H5716 and I put H5414 (QalImpf) bracelets H6781 upon thy hands, H3027 and a chain H7242 on thy neck. H1627

And I adorn thee with adornments, And I give bracelets for thy hands, And a chain for thy neck.

See therefore, I have stretched out my hand over you, and have diminished your portion, and delivered you to the will of those who hate you, the daughters of the Philistines, who are ashamed of your lewd way.

Behold, therefore I have stretched out H5186 (QalPerf) my hand H3027 over thee, and have diminished H1639 (QalImpf) thine ordinary H2706 [food], and delivered H5414 (QalImpf) thee unto the will H5315 of them that hate H8130 (QalActPtc) thee, the daughters H1323 of the Philistines, H6430 which are ashamed H3637 (NiphPtc) of thy lewd H2154 way. H1870

And lo, I have stretched out My hand against thee, And I diminish thy portion, And give thee to the desire of those hating thee, The daughters of the Philistines, Who are ashamed of thy wicked way.

I will also give you into their hand, and they will throw down your vaulted place, and break down your lofty places. They will strip you of your clothes and take your beautiful jewels. They will leave you naked and bare.

And I will also give H5414 (QalPerf) thee into their hand, H3027 and they shall throw down H2040 (QalPerf) thine eminent place, H1354 and shall break down H5422 (PielPerf) thy high places: H7413 they shall strip H6584 (HiphPerf) thee also of thy clothes, H899 and shall take H3947 (QalPerf) thy fair H8597 jewels, H3627 and leave H3240 (HiphPerf) thee naked H5903 and bare. H6181

And I have given thee into their hand, And they have thrown down thine arch, And they have broken down thy high places, And they have stript thee of thy garments, And they have taken thy beauteous vessels, And they have left thee naked and bare.

“ ‘ “Behold, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: pride, fullness of bread, and prosperous ease was in her and in her daughters. She also didn’t strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.

Behold, this was the iniquity H5771 of thy sister H269 Sodom, H5467 pride, H1347 fulness H7653 of bread, H3899 and abundance H7962 of idleness H8252 (HiphInf) was in her and in her daughters, H1323 neither did she strengthen H2388 (HiphPerf) the hand H3027 of the poor H6041 and needy. H34

Lo, this hath been the iniquity of Sodom thy sister, Arrogancy, fulness of bread, and quiet ease, Have been to her and to her daughters, And the hand of the afflicted and needy She hath not strengthened.

For he has despised the oath by breaking the covenant; and behold, he had given his hand, and yet has done all these things. He won’t escape.

Seeing he despised H959 (QalPerf) the oath H423 by breaking H6565 (HiphInf) the covenant, H1285 when, lo, he had given H5414 (QalPerf) his hand, H3027 and hath done H6213 (QalPerf) all these [things], he shall not escape. H4422 (NiphImpf)

And he despised the oath-to break covenant, And lo, he hath given his hand, And all these he hath done, he escapeth not.

he who hasn’t lent to them with interest, hasn’t taken any increase from them, who has withdrawn his hand from iniquity, has executed true justice between man and man,

He [that] hath not given forth H5414 (QalImpf) upon usury, H5392 neither hath taken H3947 (QalImpf) any increase, H8636 [that] hath withdrawn H7725 (HiphImpf) his hand H3027 from iniquity, H5766 hath executed H6213 (QalImpf) true H571 judgment H4941 between man H376 and man, H376

In usury he doth not give, and increase taketh not, From perversity he turneth back his hand, True judgment he doth between man and man.

who has withdrawn his hand from the poor, who hasn’t received interest or increase, has executed my ordinances, has walked in my statutes;

[That] hath taken off H7725 (HiphPerf) his hand H3027 from the poor, H6041 [that] hath not received H3947 (QalPerf) usury H5392 nor increase, H8636 hath executed H6213 (QalPerf) my judgments, H4941 hath walked H1980 (QalPerf) in my statutes; H2708 he shall not die H4191 (QalImpf) for the iniquity H5771 of his father, H1 he shall surely H2421 (QalInf) live. From the afflicted he hath turned back his hand, Usury and increase he hath not taken, My judgments he hath done, In My statutes he hath walked, He doth not die for the iniquity of his father, He doth surely live.

Tell them, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: “In the day when I chose Israel, and swore to the offspring of the house of Jacob, and made myself known to them in the land of Egypt, when I swore to them, saying, ‘I am Yahweh your God;’

And say H559 (QalPerf) unto them, Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H136 God; H3069 In the day H3117 when I chose H977 (QalInf) Israel, H3478 and lifted up H5375 (QalImpf) mine hand H3027 unto the seed H2233 of the house H1004 of Jacob, H3290 and made myself known H3045 (NiphImpf) unto them in the land H776 of Egypt, H4714 when I lifted H5375 (QalImpf) up mine hand H3027 unto them, saying, H559 (QalInf) I [am] the Lord H3068 your God; H430

and thou hast said unto them: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: In the day of My fixing on Israel, I lift up My hand, To the seed of the house of Jacob, And am known to them in the land of Egypt, And I lift up My hand to them, Saying, I am Jehovah your God.

in that day I swore to them to bring them out of the land of Egypt into a land that I had searched out for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands.

In the day H3117 [that] I lifted up H5375 (QalPerf) mine hand H3027 unto them, to bring them forth H3318 (HiphInf) of the land H776 of Egypt H4714 into a land H776 that I had espied H8446 (QalPerf) for them, flowing H2100 (QalActPtc) with milk H2461 and honey, H1706 which [is] the glory H6643 of all lands: H776

In that day I did lift up My hand to them, To bring them forth from the land of Egypt, Unto a land that I spied out for them, Flowing with milk and honey, A beauty it is to all the lands,

Moreover also I swore to them in the wilderness that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands,

Yet also I lifted up H5375 (QalPerf) my hand H3027 unto them in the wilderness, H4057 that I would not bring H935 (HiphInf) them into the land H776 which I had given H5414 (QalPerf) [them], flowing H2100 (QalActPtc) with milk H2461 and honey, H1706 which [is] the glory H6643 of all lands; H776

And also, I, I have lifted up My hand to them in the wilderness, Not to bring them in to the land that I had given, Flowing with milk and honey, A beauty it is to all the lands,

Nevertheless I withdrew my hand and worked for my name’s sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I brought them out.

Nevertheless I withdrew H7725 (HiphPerf) mine hand, H3027 and wrought H6213 (QalImpf) for my name’s H8034 sake, that it should not be polluted H2490 (NiphInf) in the sight H5869 of the heathen, H1471 in whose sight H5869 I brought them forth. H3318 (HiphPerf)

And I have turned back My hand, And I do it for My name’s sake, Not to pollute it before the eyes of the nations, Before whose eyes I brought them out.

Moreover I swore to them in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the nations and disperse them through the countries,

I lifted up H5375 (QalPerf) mine hand H3027 unto them also in the wilderness, H4057 that I would scatter H6327 (HiphInf) them among the heathen, H1471 and disperse H2219 (PielInf) them through the countries; H776

I also, I have lifted up My hand to them in the wilderness, To scatter them among nations, And to spread them through lands.

For when I had brought them into the land which I swore to give to them, then they saw every high hill and every thick tree, and they offered there their sacrifices, and there they presented the provocation of their offering. There they also made their pleasant aroma, and there they poured out their drink offerings.

[For] when I had brought H935 (HiphImpf) them into the land, H776 [for] the which I lifted up H5375 (QalPerf) mine hand H3027 to give H5414 (QalInf) it to them, then they saw H7200 (QalImpf) every high H7311 (QalActPtc) hill, H1389 and all the thick H5687 trees, H6086 and they offered H2076 (QalImpf) there their sacrifices, H2077 and there they presented H5414 (QalImpf) the provocation H3708 of their offering: H7133 there also they made H7760 (QalImpf) their sweet H5207 savour, H7381 and poured out H5258 (HiphImpf) there their drink offerings. H5262

And I bring them in unto the land, That I did lift up My hand to give to them, And they see every high hill, and every thick tree, And they sacrifice there their sacrifices, And give there the provocation of their offering, And make there their sweet fragrance, And they pour out there their libations.

As I live,” says the Lord Yahweh, “surely with a mighty hand, with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out, I will be king over you.

[As] I live, H2416 saith H5002 (QalPasPtc) the Lord H136 God, H3069 surely with a mighty H2389 hand, H3027 and with a stretched out H5186 (QalPasPtc) arm, H2220 and with fury H2534 poured out, H8210 (QalPasPtc) will I rule H4427 (QalImpf) over you:

I live-an affirmation of the Lord Jehovah, Do not I, with a strong hand, And with a stretched-out arm, And with fury poured out-rule over you?

I will bring you out from the peoples, and will gather you out of the countries in which you are scattered with a mighty hand, with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out.

And I will bring you out H3318 (HiphPerf) from the people, H5971 and will gather H6908 (PielPerf) you out of the countries H776 wherein ye are scattered, H6327 (NiphPerf) with a mighty H2389 hand, H3027 and with a stretched out H5186 (QalPasPtc) arm, H2220 and with fury H2534 poured out. H8210 (QalPasPtc)

And I have brought you forth from the peoples, And assembled you from the lands In which ye have been scattered, With a strong hand and with a stretched-out arm, And with fury poured out.

You will know that I am Yahweh when I bring you into the land of Israel, into the country which I swore to give to your fathers.

And ye shall know H3045 (QalPerf) that I [am] the Lord, H3068 when I shall bring H935 (HiphInf) you into the land H127 of Israel, H3478 into the country H776 [for] the which I lifted up H5375 (QalPerf) mine hand H3027 to give H5414 (QalInf) it to your fathers. H1

And ye have known that I am Jehovah, In My bringing you to the ground of Israel, Unto the land that I did lift up My hand To give it to your fathers,

It shall be, when they ask you, ‘Why do you sigh?’ that you shall say, ‘Because of the news, for it comes! Every heart will melt, all hands will be feeble, every spirit will faint, and all knees will be weak as water. Behold, it comes, and it shall be done, says the Lord Yahweh.’ ”

And it shall be, when they say H559 (QalImpf) unto thee, Wherefore sighest H584 (NiphPtc) thou? that thou shalt answer, H559 (QalPerf) For the tidings; H8052 because it cometh: H935 (QalActPtc) and every heart H3820 shall melt, H4549 (NiphPerf) and all hands H3027 shall be feeble, H7503 (QalPerf) and every spirit H7307 shall faint, H3543 (PielPerf) and all knees H1290 shall be weak H3212 (QalImpf) [as] water: H4325 behold, it cometh, H935 (QalActPtc) and shall be brought to pass, H1961 (NiphPerf) saith H5002 (QalPasPtc) the Lord H136 God. H3069

and it hath come to pass, when they say unto thee, For what art thou sighing? that thou hast said: Because of the report, for it is coming, And melted hath every heart, And feeble hath been all hands, And weak is every spirit, And all knees go-waters, Lo, it is coming, yea, it hath been, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.’

It is given to be polished, that it may be handled. The sword is sharpened. Yes, it is polished to give it into the hand of the killer.” ’

And he hath given H5414 (QalImpf) it to be furbished, H4803 (QalInf) that it may be handled: H3709 H8610 (QalInf) this sword H2719 is sharpened, H2300 (HophPerf) and it is furbished, H4178 (PualPtc) to give H5414 (QalInf) it into the hand H3027 of the slayer. H2026 (QalActPtc)

And he giveth it for polishing, For laying hold of by the hand. It is sharpened-the sword-and polished, To give it into the hand of a slayer.

“Also, you son of man, appoint two ways, that the sword of the king of Babylon may come. They both will come out of one land, and mark out a place. Mark it out at the head of the way to the city.

Also, thou son H1121 of man, H120 appoint H7760 (QalImpv) thee two H8147 ways, H1870 that the sword H2719 of the king H4428 of Babylon H894 may come: H935 (QalInf) both twain H8147 shall come forth H3318 (QalImpf) out of one H259 land: H776 and choose H1254 (PielImpv) thou a place, H3027 choose H1254 (PielImpv) [it] at the head H7218 of the way H1870 to the city. H5892

‘And thou, son of man, appoint for thee two ways, for the coming in of the sword of the king of Babylon; from one land they come forth, both of them, and a station prepare thou, at the top of the way of the city prepare it.

I will pour out my indignation on you. I will blow on you with the fire of my wrath. I will deliver you into the hand of brutish men, skillful to destroy.

And I will pour out H8210 (QalPerf) mine indignation H2195 upon thee, I will blow H6315 (HiphImpf) against thee in the fire H784 of my wrath, H5678 and deliver H5414 (QalPerf) thee into the hand H3027 of brutish H1197 (QalActPtc) men, H582 [and] skilful H2796 to destroy. H4889

And I have poured on thee Mine indignation, With fire of My wrath I blow against thee, And have given thee into the hand of brutish men-artificers of destruction.

Can your heart endure, or can your hands be strong, in the days that I will deal with you? I, Yahweh, have spoken it, and will do it.

Can thine heart H3820 endure, H5975 (QalImpf) or can thine hands H3027 be strong, H2388 (QalImpf) in the days H3117 that I shall deal H6213 (QalActPtc) with thee? I the Lord H3068 have spoken H1696 (PielPerf) [it], and will do H6213 (QalPerf) [it].

Doth thy heart stand-are thy hands strong, For the days that I am dealing with thee? I, Jehovah, have spoken and have done it.

“Therefore I delivered her into the hand of her lovers, into the hand of the Assyrians on whom she doted.

Wherefore I have delivered H5414 (QalPerf) her into the hand H3027 of her lovers, H157 (PielPtc) into the hand H3027 of the Assyrians, H1121 H804 upon whom she doted. H5689 (QalPerf)

Therefore I have given her into the hand of her lovers, Into the hand of sons of Asshur on whom she doted.

“For the Lord Yahweh says: ‘Behold, I will deliver you into the hand of them whom you hate, into the hand of them from whom your soul is alienated.

For thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H136 God; H3069 Behold, I will deliver H5414 (QalActPtc) thee into the hand H3027 [of them] whom thou hatest, H8130 (QalPerf) into the hand H3027 [of them] from whom thy mind H5315 is alienated: H5361 (QalPerf)

For thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I am giving thee into a hand that thou hast hated, Into a hand from which thou wast alienated.

You have walked in the way of your sister; therefore I will give her cup into your hand.’

Thou hast walked H1980 (QalPerf) in the way H1870 of thy sister; H269 therefore will I give H5414 (QalPerf) her cup H3563 into thine hand. H3027

In the way of thy sister thou hast walked, And I have given her cup into thy hand.

For they have committed adultery, and blood is in their hands. They have committed adultery with their idols. They have also caused their sons, whom they bore to me, to pass through the fire to them to be devoured.

That they have committed adultery, H5003 (PielPerf) and blood H1818 [is] in their hands, H3027 and with their idols H1544 have they committed adultery, H5003 (PielPerf) and have also caused their sons, H1121 whom they bare H3205 (QalPerf) unto me, to pass for them through H5674 (HiphPerf) [the fire], to devour H402 [them].

“The voice of a multitude being at ease was with her. With men of the common sort were brought drunkards from the wilderness; and they put bracelets on their hands, and beautiful crowns on their heads.

And the voice of a multitude at ease is with her, And unto men of the common people are brought in Sabeans from the wilderness, And they put bracelets on their hands, And a beauteous crown on their heads.

Righteous men will judge them with the judgment of adulteresses and with the judgment of women who shed blood, because they are adulteresses, and blood is in their hands.

As to righteous men, they judge them with the judgment of adulteresses, And the judgment of women shedding blood, For they are adulteresses, And blood is in their hands.

Therefore, lo, I-I have stretched out My hand against thee, And have given thee for a portion to nations, And I have cut thee off from the peoples, And caused thee to perish from the lands; I destroy thee, and thou hast known that I am Jehovah.

therefore the Lord Yahweh says, “I will stretch out my hand on Edom, and will cut off man and animal from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman. They will fall by the sword even to Dedan.

Therefore thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H136 God; H3069 I will also stretch out H5186 (QalPerf) mine hand H3027 upon Edom, H123 and will cut off H3772 (HiphPerf) man H120 and beast H929 from it; and I will make H5414 (QalPerf) it desolate H2723 from Teman; H8487 and they of Dedan H1719 shall fall H5307 (QalImpf) by the sword. Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: I have stretched out My hand against Edom, And I have cut off from it man and beast, And given it up-a waste, from Teman even to Dedan, By sword they do fall.

I will lay my vengeance on Edom by the hand of my people Israel. They will do in Edom according to my anger and according to my wrath. Then they will know my vengeance,” says the Lord Yahweh.

therefore the Lord Yahweh says, “Behold, I will stretch out my hand on the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethites, and destroy the remnant of the sea coast.

Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I am stretching out My hand against the Philistines, And I have cut off the Cherethim, And destroyed the remnant of the haven of the sea,

“ ‘ “The men of Dedan traded with you. Many islands were the market of your hand. They brought you horns of ivory and ebony in exchange.

Sons of Dedan are thy merchants, Many isles are the mart of thy hand, Horns of ivory and ebony they sent back thy reward.

“ ‘ “Arabia and all the princes of Kedar were your favorite dealers in lambs, rams, and goats. In these, they were your merchants.

Dost thou really say, ‘I am God,’ Before him who is slaying thee? And thou art man, and not God, In the hand of him who is piercing thee.
