I will send on you famine and evil animals, and they will bereave you. Pestilence and blood will pass through you. I will bring the sword on you. I, Yahweh, have spoken it.’ ”

και εξαποστελω επι σε λιμον και θηρια πονηρα και τιμωρησομαι σε και θανατος και αιμα διελευσονται επι σε και ρομφαιαν επαξω επι σε κυκλοθεν εγω κυριος λελαληκα

and say, ‘You mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord Yahweh! The Lord Yahweh says to the mountains and to the hills, to the watercourses and to the valleys: “Behold, I, even I, will bring a sword on you, and I will destroy your high places.

Your doom has come to you, inhabitant of the land! The time has come! The day is near, a day of tumult, and not of joyful shouting, on the mountains.

και αποστρεψω το προσωπον μου απ αυτων και μιανουσιν την επισκοπην μου και εισελευσονται εις αυτα αφυλακτως και βεβηλωσουσιν αυτα

Therefore I will bring the worst of the nations, and they will possess their houses. I will also make the pride of the strong to cease. Their holy places will be profaned.

Destruction comes! They will seek peace, and there will be none.

He brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold, a hole in the wall.

So I went in and looked, and saw every form of creeping things, abominable animals, and all the idols of the house of Israel, portrayed around on the wall.

Then he brought me to the door of the gate of Yahweh’s house which was toward the north; and I saw the women sit there weeping for Tammuz.

και εισηγαγεν με επι τα προθυρα της πυλης οικου κυριου της βλεπουσης προς βορραν και ιδου εκει γυναικες καθημεναι θρηνουσαι τον θαμμουζ

He brought me into the inner court of Yahweh’s house; and I saw at the door of Yahweh’s temple, between the porch and the altar, there were about twenty-five men with their backs toward Yahweh’s temple and their faces toward the east. They were worshiping the sun toward the east.

And he brought H935 (HiphImpf) me into the inner H6442 court H2691 of the Lord’s H3068 house, H1004 and, behold, at the door H6607 of the temple H1964 of the Lord, H3068 between the porch H197 and the altar, H4196 [were] about five H2568 and twenty H6242 men, H376 with their backs H268 toward the temple H1964 of the Lord, H3068 and their faces H6440 toward the east; H6924 and they worshipped H7812 (HithPtc) the sun H8121 toward the east. και εισηγαγεν με εις την αυλην οικου κυριου την εσωτεραν και ιδου επι των προθυρων του ναου κυριου ανα μεσον των αιλαμ και ανα μεσον του θυσιαστηριου ως εικοσι ανδρες τα οπισθια αυτων προς τον ναον του κυριου και τα προσωπα αυτων απεναντι και ουτοι προσκυνουσιν τω ηλιω

Behold, six men came from the way of the upper gate, which lies toward the north, every man with his slaughter weapon in his hand. One man in the middle of them was clothed in linen, with a writer’s inkhorn by his side. They went in, and stood beside the bronze altar.

And, behold, six H8337 men H582 came H935 (QalActPtc) from the way H1870 of the higher H5945 gate, H8179 which lieth H6437 (HophPtc) toward the north, H6828 and every man H376 a slaughter H4660 weapon H3627 in his hand; H3027 and one H259 man H376 among H8432 them [was] clothed H3847 (QalPasPtc) with linen, H906 with a writer’s H5608 (QalActPtc) inkhorn H7083 by his side: H4975 and they went in, H935 (QalImpf) and stood H5975 (QalImpf) beside H681 the brasen H5178 altar. και ιδου εξ ανδρες ηρχοντο απο της οδου της πυλης της υψηλης της βλεπουσης προς βορραν και εκαστου πελυξ εν τη χειρι αυτου και εις ανηρ εν μεσω αυτων ενδεδυκως ποδηρη και ζωνη σαπφειρου επι της οσφυος αυτου και εισηλθοσαν και εστησαν εχομενοι του θυσιαστηριου του χαλκου

He spoke to the man clothed in linen, and said, “Go in between the whirling wheels, even under the cherub, and fill both your hands with coals of fire from between the cherubim, and scatter them over the city.” He went in as I watched.

And he spake H559 (QalImpf) unto the man H376 clothed H3847 (QalPasPtc) with linen, H906 and said, H559 (QalImpf) Go in H935 (QalImpv) between H996 the wheels, H1534 [even] under the cherub, H3742 and fill H4390 (PielImpv) thine hand H2651 with coals H1513 of fire H784 from between H996 the cherubims, H3742 and scatter H2236 (QalImpv) [them] over the city. και ειπεν προς τον ανδρα τον ενδεδυκοτα την στολην εισελθε εις το μεσον των τροχων των υποκατω των χερουβιν και πλησον τας δρακας σου ανθρακων πυρος εκ μεσου των χερουβιν και διασκορπισον επι την πολιν και εισηλθεν ενωπιον μου

Now the cherubim stood on the right side of the house when the man went in; and the cloud filled the inner court.

Now the cherubims H3742 stood H5975 (QalActPtc) on the right side H3225 of the house, H1004 when the man H376 went in; H935 (QalInf) and the cloud H6051 filled H4390 (QalPerf) the inner H6442 court. H2691

και τα χερουβιν ειστηκει εκ δεξιων του οικου εν τω εισπορευεσθαι τον ανδρα και η νεφελη επλησεν την αυλην την εσωτεραν

It came to pass, when he commanded the man clothed in linen, saying, “Take fire from between the whirling wheels, from between the cherubim,” that he went in and stood beside a wheel.

And it came to pass, [that] when he had commanded H6680 (PielInf) the man H376 clothed H3847 (QalPasPtc) with linen, H906 saying, H559 (QalInf) Take H3947 (QalImpv) fire H784 from between the wheels, H1534 from between the cherubims; H3742 then he went in, H935 (QalImpf) and stood H5975 (QalImpf) beside H681 the wheels. και εγενετο εν τω εντελλεσθαι αυτον τω ανδρι τω ενδεδυκοτι την στολην την αγιαν λεγων λαβε πυρ εκ μεσου των τροχων εκ μεσου των χερουβιν και εισηλθεν και εστη εχομενος των τροχων

Moreover the Spirit lifted me up and brought me to the east gate of Yahweh’s house, which looks eastward. Behold, twenty-five men were at the door of the gate; and I saw among them Jaazaniah the son of Azzur, and Pelatiah the son of Benaiah, princes of the people.

Moreover the spirit H7307 lifted me up, H5375 (QalImpf) and brought H935 (HiphImpf) me unto the east H6931 gate H8179 of the Lord’s H3068 house, H1004 which looketh H6437 (QalActPtc) eastward: H6921 and behold at the door H6607 of the gate H8179 five H2568 and twenty H6242 men; H376 among H8432 whom I saw H7200 (QalImpf) Jaazaniah H2970 the son H1121 of Azur, H5809 and Pelatiah H6410 the son H1121 of Benaiah, H1141 princes H8269 of the people. και ανελαβεν με πνευμα και ηγαγεν με επι την πυλην του οικου κυριου την κατεναντι την βλεπουσαν κατα ανατολας και ιδου επι των προθυρων της πυλης ως εικοσι και πεντε ανδρες και ειδον εν μεσω αυτων τον ιεζονιαν τον του εζερ και φαλτιαν τον του βαναιου τους αφηγουμενους του λαου

You have feared the sword; and I will bring the sword on you,” says the Lord Yahweh.

Ye have feared H3372 (QalPerf) the sword; H2719 and I will bring H935 (HiphImpf) a sword H2719 upon you, saith H5002 (QalPasPtc) the Lord H136 God. H3069

ρομφαιαν φοβεισθε και ρομφαιαν επαξω εφ υμας λεγει κυριος

“Therefore say, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: “Whereas I have removed them far off among the nations, and whereas I have scattered them among the countries, yet I will be to them a sanctuary for a little while in the countries where they have come.” ’

Therefore say, H559 (QalImpv) Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H136 God; H3069 Although I have cast them far off H7368 (HiphPerf) among the heathen, H1471 and although I have scattered H6327 (HiphPerf) them among the countries, H776 yet will I be to them as a little H4592 sanctuary H4720 in the countries H776 where they shall come. δια τουτο ειπον ταδε λεγει κυριος οτι απωσομαι αυτους εις τα εθνη και διασκορπιω αυτους εις πασαν την γην και εσομαι αυτοις εις αγιασμα μικρον εν ταις χωραις ου αν εισελθωσιν εκει

“ ‘They will come there, and they will take away all its detestable things and all its abominations from there.

And they shall come H935 (QalPerf) thither, and they shall take away H5493 (HiphPerf) all the detestable things H8251 thereof and all the abominations H8441 thereof from thence.

και εισελευσονται εκει και εξαρουσιν παντα τα βδελυγματα αυτης και πασας τας ανομιας αυτης εξ αυτης
