[1] Then again I lifted up my eyes and saw, and behold, a flying scroll. [2] He said to me, “What do you see?”I answered, “I see a flying scroll; its length is twenty cubits,ⓘ and its width ten cubits.” [3] Then he said to me, “This is the curse that goes out over the surface of the whole land, for everyone who steals shall be cut off according to it on the one side; and everyone who swears falsely shall be cut off according to it on the other side. [4] I will cause it to go out,” says Yahweh of Armies, “and it will enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him who swears falsely by my name; and it will remain in the middle of his house, and will destroy it with its timber and its stones.” [5] Then the angel who talked with me came forward and said to me, “Lift up now your eyes and see what this is that is appearing.” [6] I said, “What is it?”He said, “This is the ephahⓘ basket that is appearing.” He said moreover, “This is their appearance in all the land— [7] and behold, a lead cover weighing one talentⓘ was lifted up—and there was a woman sitting in the middle of the ephahⓘ basket.” [8] He said, “This is Wickedness;” and he threw her down into the middle of the ephah basket; and he threw the lead weight on its mouth. [9] Then I lifted up my eyes and saw, and behold, there were two women; and the wind was in their wings. Now they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the ephah basket between earth and the sky. [10] Then I said to the angel who talked with me, “Where are these carrying the ephah basket?” [11] He said to me, “To build her a house in the land of Shinar. When it is prepared, she will be set there in her own place.”

[1] Then I turned,H7725(QalImpf) and lifted upH5375(QalImpf) mine eyes,H5869 and looked,H7200(QalImpf) and behold a flyingH5774(QalActPtc) roll.H4039 [2] And he saidH559(QalImpf) unto me, What seestH7200(QalActPtc) thou? And I answered,H559(QalImpf) I seeH7200(QalActPtc) a flyingH5774(QalActPtc) roll;H4039 the lengthH753 thereof [is] twentyH6242 cubits,H520 and the breadthH7341 thereof tenH6235 cubits.H520 [3] Then saidH559(QalImpf) he unto me, This [is] the curseH423 that goeth forthH3318(QalActPtc) over the faceH6440 of the whole earth:H776 for every one that stealethH1589(QalActPtc) shall be cut offH5352(NiphPerf) [as] on this side accordingH3644 to it; and every one that swearethH7650(NiphPtc) shall be cut offH5352(NiphPerf) [as] on that side accordingH3644 to it. [4] I will bring it forth,H3318(HiphPerf) saithH5002(QalPasPtc) the LordH3068 of hosts,H6635 and it shall enterH935(QalPerf) into the houseH1004 of the thief,H1590 and into the houseH1004 of him that swearethH7650(NiphPtc) falselyH8267 by my name:H8034 and it shall remainH3885(QalPerf) in the midstH8432 of his house,H1004 and shall consumeH3615(PielPerf) it with the timberH6086 thereof and the stonesH68 thereof. [5] Then the angelH4397 that talkedH1696(QalActPtc) with me went forth,H3318(QalImpf) and saidH559(QalImpf) unto me, Lift upH5375(QalImpv) now thine eyes,H5869 and seeH7200(QalImpv) what [is] this that goeth forth.H3318(QalActPtc) [6] And I said,H559(QalImpf) What [is] it? And he said,H559(QalImpf) This [is] an ephahH374 that goeth forth.H3318(QalActPtc) He saidH559(QalImpf) moreover, This [is] their resemblanceH5869 through all the earth.H776 [7] And, behold, there was lifted upH5375(NiphPerf) a talentH3603 of lead:H5777 and this [is] aH259 womanH802 that sittethH3427(QalActPtc) in the midstH8432 of the ephah.H374 [8] And he said,H559(QalImpf) This [is] wickedness.H7564 And he castH7993(HiphImpf) it into the midstH8432 of the ephah;H374 and he castH7993(HiphImpf) the weightH68 of leadH5777 upon the mouthH6310 thereof. [9] Then lifted I upH5375(QalImpf) mine eyes,H5869 and looked,H7200(QalImpf) and, behold, there came outH3318(QalActPtc) twoH8147 women,H802 and the windH7307 [was] in their wings;H3671 for they hadH2007 wingsH3671 like the wingsH3671 of a stork:H2624 and they lifted upH5375(QalImpf) the ephahH374 between the earthH776 and the heaven.H8064 [10] Then saidH559(QalImpf) I to the angelH4397 that talkedH1696(QalActPtc) with me, Whither do these bearH3212(HiphPtc) the ephah?H374 [11] And he saidH559(QalImpf) unto me, To buildH1129(QalInf) it an houseH1004 in the landH776 of Shinar:H8152 and it shall be established,H3559(HophPerf) and setH3240(HophPerf) there upon her own base.H4369
