[1] Open your doors, Lebanon,
that the fire may devour your cedars.
[2] Wail, cypress tree, for the cedar has fallen,
because the stately ones are destroyed.
Wail, you oaks of Bashan,
for the strong forest has come down.
[3] A voice of the wailing of the shepherds!
For their glory is destroyed—a voice of the roaring of young lions!
For the pride of the Jordan is ruined. [4] Yahweh my God says: “Feed the flock of slaughter. [5] Their buyers slaughter them and go unpunished. Those who sell them say, ‘Blessed be Yahweh, for I am rich;’ and their own shepherds don’t pity them. [6] For I will no more pity the inhabitants of the land,” says Yahweh; “but, behold, I will deliver every one of the men into his neighbor’s hand and into the hand of his king. They will strike the land, and out of their hand I will not deliver them.” [7] So I fed the flock to be slaughtered, especially the oppressed of the flock. I took for myself two staffs. The one I called “Favor” and the other I called “Union”, and I fed the flock. [8] I cut off the three shepherds in one month; for my soul was weary of them, and their soul also loathed me. [9] Then I said, “I will not feed you. That which dies, let it die; and that which is to be cut off, let it be cut off; and let those who are left eat each other’s flesh.” [10] I took my staff Favor and cut it apart, that I might break my covenant that I had made with all the peoples. [11] It was broken in that day; and thus the poor of the flock that listened to me knew that it was Yahweh’s word. [12] I said to them, “If you think it best, give me my wages; and if not, keep them.” So they weighed for my wages thirty pieces of silver. [13] Yahweh said to me, “Throw it to the potter—the handsome price that I was valued at by them!” I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them to the potter in Yahweh’s house. [14] Then I cut apart my other staff, Union, that I might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel. [15] Yahweh said to me, “Take for yourself yet again the equipment of a foolish shepherd. [16] For, behold, I will raise up a shepherd in the land who will not visit those who are cut off, neither will seek those who are scattered, nor heal that which is broken, nor feed that which is sound; but he will eat the meat of the fat sheep, and will tear their hoofs in pieces. [17] Woe to the worthless shepherd who leaves the flock! The sword will strike his arm and his right eye. His arm will be completely withered, and his right eye will be totally blinded!”

King James Version
[1] OpenH6605(QalImpv) thy doors,H1817 O Lebanon,H3844 that the fireH784 may devourH398(QalImpf) thy cedars.H730 [2] Howl,H3213(HiphImpv) fir tree;H1265 for the cedarH730 is fallen;H5307(QalPerf) because the mightyH117 are spoiled:H7703(PualPerf) howl,H3213(HiphImpv) O ye oaksH437 of Bashan;H1316 for the forestH3293 of the vintageH1208(Qere) is come down.H3381(QalPerf) [3] [There is] a voiceH6963 of the howlingH3215 of the shepherds;H7462(QalActPtc) for their gloryH155 is spoiled:H7703(PualPerf) a voiceH6963 of the roaringH7581 of young lions;H3715 for the prideH1347 of JordanH3383 is spoiled.H7703(PualPerf) [4] Thus saithH559(QalPerf) the LordH3068 my God;H430 FeedH7462(QalImpv) the flockH6629 of the slaughter;H2028 [5] Whose possessorsH7069(QalActPtc) slayH2026(QalImpf) them, and hold themselves not guilty:H816(QalImpf) and they that sellH4376(QalActPtc) them say,H559(QalImpf) BlessedH1288(QalPasPtc) [be] the Lord;H3068 for I am rich:H6238(HiphImpf) and their own shepherdsH7462(QalActPtc) pityH2550(QalImpf) them not. [6] For I will no more pityH2550(QalImpf) the inhabitantsH3427(QalActPtc) of the land,H776 saithH5002(QalPasPtc) the Lord:H3068 but, lo, I will deliverH4672(HiphPtc) the menH120 every oneH376 into his neighbour’sH7453 hand,H3027 and into the handH3027 of his king:H4428 and they shall smiteH3807(PielPerf) the land,H776 and out of their handH3027 I will not deliverH5337(HiphImpf) [them]. [7] And I will feedH7462(QalImpf) the flockH6629 of slaughter,H2028 [even] you,H3651 O poorH6041 of the flock.H6629 And I tookH3947(QalImpf) unto me twoH8147 staves;H4731 the oneH259 I calledH7121(QalPerf) Beauty,H5278 and the otherH259 I calledH7121(QalPerf) Bands;H2254(QalActPtc) and I fedH7462(QalImpf) the flock.H6629 [8] ThreeH7969 shepherdsH7462(QalActPtc) also I cut offH3582(HiphImpf) in oneH259 month;H3391 and my soulH5315 lothedH7114(QalImpf) them, and their soulH5315 also abhorredH973(QalPerf) me. [9] Then saidH559(QalImpf) I, I will not feedH7462(QalImpf) you: that that dieth,H4191(QalPtc) let it die;H4191(QalImpf) and that that is to be cut off,H3582(NiphPtc) let it be cut off;H3582(NiphImpf) and let the restH7604(NiphPtc) eatH398(QalImpf) every oneH802 the fleshH1320 of another.H7468 [10] And I tookH3947(QalImpf) my staff,H4731 [even] Beauty,H5278 and cut it asunder,H1438(QalImpf) that I might breakH6565(HiphInf) my covenantH1285 which I had madeH3772(QalPerf) with all the people.H5971 [11] And it was brokenH6565(HophImpf) in that day:H3117 and so the poorH6041 of the flockH6629 that waitedH8104(QalActPtc) upon me knewH3045(QalImpf) that it [was] the wordH1697 of the Lord.H3068 [12] And I saidH559(QalImpf) unto them, If ye thinkH5869 good,H2896 giveH3051(QalImpv) [me] my price;H7939 and if not, forbear.H2308(QalImpv) So they weighedH8254(QalImpf) for my priceH7939 thirtyH7970 [pieces] of silver.H3701 [13] And the LordH3068 saidH559(QalImpf) unto me, CastH7993(HiphImpv) it unto the potter:H3335(QalActPtc) a goodlyH145 priceH3366 that I was prised atH3365(QalPerf) of them. And I tookH3947(QalImpf) the thirtyH7970 [pieces] of silver,H3701 and castH7993(HiphImpf) them to the potterH3335(QalActPtc) in the houseH1004 of the Lord.H3068 [14] Then I cut asunderH1438(QalImpf) mine otherH8145 staff,H4731 [even] Bands,H2254(QalActPtc) that I might breakH6565(HiphInf) the brotherhoodH264 between JudahH3063 and Israel.H3478 [15] And the LordH3068 saidH559(QalImpf) unto me, TakeH3947(QalImpv) unto thee yet the instrumentsH3627 of a foolishH196 shepherd.H7462(QalActPtc) [16] For, lo, I will raise upH6965(HiphPtc) a shepherdH7462(QalActPtc) in the land,H776 [which] shall not visitH6485(QalImpf) those that be cut off,H3582(NiphPtc) neither shall seekH1245(PielImpf) the young one,H5289 nor healH7495(PielImpf) that that is broken,H7665(NiphPtc) nor feedH3557(PilpImpf) that that standethH5324(NiphPtc) still: but he shall eatH398(QalImpf) the fleshH1320 of the fat,H1277 and tearH6561 their clawsH6541 in pieces.H6561(PielImpf) [17] WoeH1945 to the idolH457 shepherdH7473 that leavethH5800(QalActPtc) the flock!H6629 the swordH2719 [shall be] upon his arm,H2220 and upon his rightH3225 eye:H5869 his armH2220 shall be cleanH3001(QalInf) dried up,H3001(QalImpf) and his rightH3225 eyeH5869 shall be utterlyH3543(QalInf) darkened.H3543(QalImpf)
